With pretty much every gunstock it shouldn’t be hard plus most gunstocks have ways to not be in the way whilst doing stuff like looting, ie non split stocks have slings to hang the stock on while looting and split body stocks just split in half so you can loot easier

Anyone use the magtube and think it makes the game harder? I’m a noob still but it helps with aiming but everything else is so much more difficult using gun stock

I don’t have the muscle memory quite yet so it makes it hard for me to take the controllers off when looting and trying to put them back on when aiming

no. practice will help you learn the right way to do it, it shouldnt take much

removing controllers should be a tiny twist of your wrists outwards and they should instantly pop off

regarding putting them back on while aiming, you'll want to make sure you have the whole thing designed to be ergonomic for your body. take a look at the pinned calibration guide for some tips

There are a lot of vetted and proven options in that list with various price points. "Best" is subjective... Each Maker also thinks their own creation is best and are limited in what they can say/self promote. 😉

If you are not looking at the Tomahawk or want alternatives... in a similar price point is the classic ProTube, but it is also the older style where you have to drop the gunstock/sling to loot effectively.

Personally I prefer the split style gunstocks that never leave your hands. If you want versatility in configurations, then check out the UltiStock by @hollow zinc .

when making comparisons like that you might want to include your time from going from an accurate aim (hit targets 200m out) to lotting to back to accurate aim (again hittintg targets 200m out)

It is slower, but I think it is overall better to use a gunstock to help with stability because virtual gunstocks really dont help much, I find having an actual thing to support you helps. If your having trouble snapping on and off the gunstock I would recommend to use a gunstock with magnents to make it more accessible

And practice snapping off and on to the gunstock to get more used to the motion so you become easy and faster

Well I’ve noticed when I have a four grip on the gun with a gun stock, the gun always cox to the right for some reason. But it doesn’t have a four grip on it. It’s good.

Unfortunately, there’s not that many options on 3-D printing gun stocks compared to the ones you can buy but just google around print each one try them all and see hopefully one of them work for you

Well assumed some of that with the limited capabilities of 3d printing and creating it yourself. I have found some designs I may tweak in Fusion 360 before printing trying them. If nothing works then I will just spent some time designing my own to my liking.

The main thing the magtube has over most other stocks is adjustability primarily in the forward hand. Most of Skolvr's stock cannot adjust the distance between hands or the forward hand in any way, making it harder to manually calibrate for your body and for certain guns that may need it. I prefer the magtube and am much better using it over a stock from skolvr

Magtube and Tomahawk both have their own advantages and disadvantages, up to you to decide what you prefer to have. But I don't think you can go wrong with any of these choices

Magtube with pro straps and adjustable butt stock is pretty good. And the adjustable butt stock makes it very compatible across a bunch of games without having to move the controller cups a bunch

Finally ordered Quest 3 controller adapters for my MagniStock+. Last time I tried this was before they brought gunstock calibration into the game. Got vertical rotation and height set up but is there any way to get a left to right rotation on the calibration? (Left/right) you can tilt them up down and left right but not rotate

If that makes any sense, hard to describe it

They copy the Magtube design like many others, and that’s how you handle horizontal alignment

Generally no, they have revised the grip issue which was the main initial failure, but from my understanding it is still not the best option out there at the price and such... but I don't have one personally... I just know it is still not regularly (or at all) recommended.

It does, diagonal rotation isn’t the problem. Gun in game points to the right of where my gun stock is, there is no way to rotate the controllers in horizontal plane on this particular stock. I can tilt it forward and back and rotate it around the tube but not left and right

I may contact the creator to let them know of the issue because I don’t remember it being a problem with the Q2 controller adapters

It’s more subtle than what I illustrated but it’s bad enough that I can’t load mags without smacking the tube. Went back to virtual for now

this is specifically what i am talking about. loosen the lower bolt and rotate it outwards slightly, this has the same effect as horizontal adjustments. you don't need much, just a little bit. adjust them outwards a tiny bit.

I know this because the twitching is random, and doesn’t happen sometimes, and I fire on semi, not much recoil supposed to be there, especially when the twitching doesn’t happen on full auto. Sorry for the late response. It is more than likely tracking errors due to the nature of that gunstock. It blocks a lot of the IR lights that are used for tracking, therefore causing jank. I highly advise getting something like a magtube, which should fix that issue

Depends on the stock probably. Occlusion can still happen with trashy stocks, just not has commonly. Top mounted stocks in general are usually pretty bad in my experience

Thank you for your compliment. Yes, it is. It really gave me(old man) about 70% accuracy and stability. Just having the first picture with the hangers gave me about 50% a/s when playing any kind of game. So fun!

Over the time of having that gunstock I made it perfect. As you can see from the last picture. @crystal dirge I put rubber seal around it to make it comfy.

It doesnt take to much time, but the adjustments were over an 8 month period. I would adjust by adding more to it. The stock needed a pad. So I added one. Then the pad was rubbing on my arm. lol So I needed the rubber. Now its perfect and I have not adjusted for over 3 month.

Any body have long arm glitch using stocks? Been playing for like 5 months n every thing was fine until recently, now when I grab just about any gun my arms jutt out as if they are completely extended, it makes using anything other then an sks (the only rifle that works correctly) very hard to wield correctly in a pinch does anyone know a solution? Support for Tabor broke over a year ago for Quest, and 10 months ago for PC.

You'd have to use our free Companion App on Steam's SteamVR compatibility feature on a Steam copy of the game to get basic kick functionality until the devs fix it.

Plenty of people use the 5J model fine. Our original ForceTube was also similar in specs.

The time to come up with and make the design.
The materials and non-3D printed components.
The shipping and packaging materials.
The fees from the seller/listing services.

It all adds up and then becomes a matter of... What is the makers time and effort worth to provide it... Because they aren't going to do it for free/out of pocket expenses cost. 😉

The alternative is to make your own and there are a lot of options, resources, and ideas out there to do it.

There are also plenty of options at 1/2 to 1/3 that $130 cost also to consider. 😉

It is all related to the controller designs my friend... not necessarily the headset... my stock can work with the Quest 1, 2, 3, and Pro... but some can only work with individual.

You can still use the Bobo VR hot swappable battery system by attaching the dock to the back...

A couple of those and you can power cycle through.

Alternatively you could do one or more of the Zyber Neck Batteries or the Prism XR Carina belt battery.

There are plenty of external juice options that keep you relatively wireless (outside of a charging cable connection)

My version of the poor man’s stock

A while ago I got the asset as someone here recommended, and I can never reload with it because it's right under the controller, is there some trick? Because my left controller will just bump into the stock, and I can't reload like that, because the mag won't touch the gun

You can try tilting/rotating your main hand inward when reloading... might take a bit of muscle memory, but should give you the access you need.

Additionally you can outward tilt your off-hand... that should allow you to get the controllers as close together as possible.

Too much bulk on the bottom can definitely make it more difficult to do.

I got my first printer in 2021, made an off-hand golf club... made a few for friends... then opened the Etsy shop a few months later... and the creations/designs/etc have grown from there... nearly always based on custom/customer requests

yes i had the one scope og uses, there absolutely garbage and so uncomfortable to use

i sold mine and got something i will actually use

Mid-Split Mag... light easy and non interfering is the way to go.

every gunstock is interfering, when you go to grab something u have to drop ur stock it dangles then you have to spend another 20 secondsjust to get it to sit comfortably on ur shoulders and think of that every like 3-4 minutes its NOT good i remember when i first got the stock on day 1 i saw collector and threw it off because of how uncomfortable it was
