The Asset is his latest and is designed to be modular and upgradable.

If you are going with the base solid piece model, then yes I think that would be wise so you can drop the stock and free up both hands.

If you are doing the SBS split option... it may not be needed.

@unkempt garnet I actually mostly play Pop One with my stock.... which most don't think a gunstock can work in, but suits me nicely and like the phoenix mode.

I suffer from FOLS (fear of losing s') for Tabor... also there are a LOT of components and things to make/do... and I don't usually have the time to dedicate to all that is needed to maintain... Pop One and Contractors are quicker/easier to just play a session and call it a day.

Tabor does have the most active Gunstock community though and is a great game.

Although it is more than a game for sure with all of the different levels of interaction and component needs.

Happy to answer whatever I can.

With the newer Mid-Split style stocks like the ExoStock, Butcher, and Tomahawk (and a few others)... the gunstock never leaves your hands. It just splits into two pieces so you can still loot and then just bring them back together.

Vs the older/classic style like MagTube which you have to remove one or both controllers and drop the stock portion using a sling or the like.

There isn't a reason for a sling, the stock is always attached to the hands with the controllers in the knuckle grips.

Even when the butt stock is attached, it doesn't get in the way/bulky

The Complete adds the QuickAim Bar.

Which is useful if you want faster pace alignment without magnets.

It also allows for a more adjustable placement/resting shorter or longer against the bar vs the fixed distance of the magnetic bar.

Can you useful for pump shotgun use as well.

for something like Vail or Breachers which is a bit more close quarters and faster... the QuickAim with or with out butt stock can be very useful and generally faster, just not as rigid as using the mag.

Nope... if using the QuickAim the offhand piece will be just a knuckle grip... you wouldn't use the magnetic bar portion, but because it is light weight and free and behind the controller it doesn't get in the way.

So QuickAim or Mag, but not both at the same time.

Does anyone here also get the issue on a quest 3 where when you pick up a gun with one hand, it changes the hand angle for both hands when physical gunstock is enabled? Honestly I don't know. Looks like it is fixed in place, not split/mag so I don't fully understand the raised portion, but have tried to make a similar style gunstock before, but with magnets and it didn't work well... Wasn't stable enough.

But as a solid print screwed together, it may be a different story.

I general am not a fan of adjustable 3D printed parts that slide over each other... It is very hard to get them rigid and sturdy/no give in my experience.

But I don't own one of those, so I can't say one way or the other on those factors... So go based on the reviews.

Price is decent for it.

Honestly hard to say... your first one is probably better build quality, but it might also depend on your shipping costs/locations between the two

I’ve got the calibration right for everything except the rifles like m4 and 5c and such it’s perfect for everything else but tweaked hard for those my barrel is angled of to the right and my left hand is in the wrong spot

each rifle is still slightly different. you could calibrate to scar and its perfect but hold the m4 and its off a little

per the guide, anything pointing to the left or right is due to your gunstock not being positioned/angled correctly

adjust your gunstock so your hands are in a more optimal position

after 2 hours of playing with the butcher, I can confirm that it's incredible. Precise, light, fast, the adaptation was very quick. everything is solid. I mainly play ghost of tabor, and it's very easy to reload/aim/loot with the magnet system on the front. I recommend 1000%, thank you @mental lance great work here !

Steamvr compatibility is a feature of companion app that gives basic kick and rumble functionality to any game running in openvr

It does so by listening to controller rumble events. You adjust sliders so that best case scenario it only kicks and rumbles when you fire a gun. Ymmv game to game
