I've physically adjusted my tomahawk to work in contractors showdown, breachers and ghosts of tabor with basically no calibration. apart from some assault rifle and sniper calibration in game for contractors showdown

Yes, you're absolutely right. It's different design approaches. It's permanent controllers attachment, and you don't need to think attach it or not, if eventually you need to shoot in fast paced games. Left hand is completely free, right hand is free with some learning. It's a very natural compromise wich I made after using sling stocks with no luck or comfort. To each their own, for sure. It is up to VR community to decide what's better for them. We are here to provide more variety of options, working every day on the improvements. Wich you might clearly notice in MetaSukiya streams with his new Index Tomahawk... ❤️

I got lucky and found a used sanlaki for $50 online! They come new for around $150. Maybe search up "Used Vr Gunstock" on google. It was a little loose but Rubber bands and duck tape work wonders! Mines for the psvr2. Can't wait for this to release for me!

If I make my own gun stock, the should the length between my hands be for sniper, AR, and smg ik it’s kinda a complicated question but try your best

you should make one that is adjustable so you can work across multiple games

but ergonomics wise, there are some common things you should shoot for based on the size of your body

you can find a decent bit of information out on the internet related to optimizing the size of a rifle for competition shooting, length of pull, optimal shooting posture, etc

you'll need to do some reading because there isnt a specific answer anyone can give you, only the ideas that you should be researching so you can figure out what you specifically need

your optimal ergonomics are going to be a different size than my optimal ergonomics

do not focus on real life gun sizing, do not focus on sniper/ar/SMG etc because thats the wrong way to do it

with the right VR gunstock design, you can easily have the best of all worlds. the stability, speed, ease of use and precision of 4 points of contact shooting no matter what weapon you use, and you often can play multiple games and use multiple different guns changing very little along the way

Yea thats right and idk if quest 2 can but if u grab a full mag u want to swap with the empty mag u can use the grab button while holding trigger to grab the mag out the gun

and the quest 3 is also much newer so if you have a quest 2 still it’ll be a very good investment to make sure your quest will be functioning for a while because the quest 2s hardware is a little old and i’m guessing you’ve had it for a while.

First we need to reevaluate the design, so it works well in a different type of material, using a focus group. This is done using a printed copy in the material we're intended to use.
When the new design is thumbed up, we do a production copy in different hardnesses for.the focus group to evaluate.
At that point, we order a CNCed tool for injection molds and wait for a trial. When this trial is approved it's ready for production. We just started production.
And this is aside the mold for the metal piece, which is die casted zinc.

We ain't saying 'coming soon' if we don't mean it, this is way to fucking expensive to just wing it.

In a prefect world, the stuff more or less crumbling in my hands while packing it would be optimal, then we could have stopped it instantly instead of getting the notice later on.

You’re dodging issues like buttstock weight, screws, and clamps.

The rubber is 100% able to be a qc problem. Specially how shady some factories can be to get contracts done

The buttstock is 100gr, the feeling of it is pretty heavy having a faulty rubber, since you can't control the weight. Having a good rubber sleeve negates it. You'll feel the difference with a functional sleeve.

Honestly, as much as I love my gunstock, only a little. It makes your aim more steady and a little more intuitive because of the physical thing you interact with. It doesn't help with movement, tactics and reading player behaviour which is far more impactful.

I only received my ExoStock last night, so only played with it once, but i don't agree with that, grabbing stuff is still just as simple once you snap the stock in half so both hands are free, nothing really gets in the way at all.

Yes usually your non domain hand is free to move to be able to reload your gun. Most stocka have your trigger hand fixed

Love my mag tube. Didn't take long to get used to the reload and loot motions. Just a simple twist of my wrists to detach the magnets. Whatever you go with, I recommend getting a sling with it. Even if you play seated, it will keep the stock in a place you can quickly and reliably find it to reattach in an emergency

you shouldnt use virtual gunstock with a physical gunstock, you are defeating most of hte benefits of a physical gunstock that way

turning on physical gunstock calibration when you dont have any weapons calibrated does nothing

and you should ALWAYS do a physical gunstock calibration, people who say otherwise just dont understand what the benefits are

the game has rather poor default Z offsets resulting in poor eye relief

@modern mirage files are free on thingyverse. The controllers are in place with magnets so you can pull the grip off to reload or grab stuff or a pistol. Also has point for a sling. I've got the 3 now and there are grip mounts for the 3 controllers.

I've sold one so far to a gamer locally.

Anyone experiencing issues with using a gun stock since the update, when I put my gunstock in my shoulder, in game it's like I have it pressed up against my right ear? I tried calibration, get it to where it needs to be and as soon as I pull both triggers, the gun shoots back up to ear level.
