to clarify. The up and down/ back and forward calibration is cool but the angle at which I put the sight picture isn’t directly pointing straight from my right eye (it’s canted slightly left) and from what I read, it’s a problem with how the front hand affects the orientation that gun stock calibration doesn’t mitigate. Correct me if I’m wrong but no one actually shoots 90 degrees perpendicular to their dominant eye do they? I digress

Is it carbon fiber and adjustable? No, but it doesn't try to be those things. It's simply a lightweight gun stock that's highly functional and I like it a lot and the staff are very helpful. Genuinely used to be shit without it haha

Thing is church there is no one best gun stock. It's all about value for money at the end of the day and perceived value for the customer. In this case I have used probably 5+ gunstocks and I just like the 7thVR one the best.

I will summarize below:

• It's lightweight
• It's not got floating parts like the iStock (my left hand shakes so wouldn't be ideal for this kind of stock)
• It's strong
• Their support was excellent and they cut me great deals
• They have a small team which means it's more personal
• They don't tend to make the consumer feel like it's a skill issue, they just deal with the problem like bro who had the quest 2. Straight up refunded him and offered him a free replacement when their Q2 edition is sorted

Is it the "best" probably not. It's still 3D Printed, but for me it is the best.

Upon further inspection of the mount that people (including myself) are having trouble with, i found that the attaching hardware is pretty cheap and the part securing the mount only has one notch for stabilzation. i feel like better hardware and perhaps another notch for the mount would really go a long way

Like the bottom line is @violet depot the stock works perfectly fine in practice, although functionally there are some small issues that are being corrected in the form of replacement parts to fix these slight issues.

There are some fixes you can put into place right now in order to fix those small functional issues or you can wait for your free replacement parts.

This is similar to the Quest 2 faceguard causing rashes, they sent out sillicon guards.

This is similar to the Quest 3 having serious issues with dead pixels at launch, they sent out replacement units with the fix implemented.

Both of these situations weren't fraud. You cannot simply go around calling it that, might get yourself into trouble (Libel in this case) as what you're falsely saying could in theory cause financial loss for both companies.

Best suggestions?

• Wait for replacement parts
• Implement permenant fix you've been told by other Raidr users

Idk protube is backed by a lot of pro's in competitions, i never really looked at wield and when i did, it didnt really appeal to me, support is amazing. Shipping times were quick. I enjoy the cheek wield. I love how easy it is to make small adjustments on the fly. Comes with a 2 point sling. I enjoy the grips and the cups/magnets.

It's hard to explain. On PUBG when I used quality headphones for the first time, it gave me much better information compared to crappy headphones. It wouldn't just blast your ear drums. Gun shots were not too loud but it would pick up on all the sounds.

I use the prismxr vega t1 low latency earbuds (Use usb-c dongle, not bluetooth). They work pretty well. usb dongle has passthrough power too if you use a battery strap. It doesn't pass through data though so won't work with a link cable.

It's not too loud actually though in the app you can boost EQ in several ways. They have decent noise isolation which help block out outside sounds. I usually only use them at night... during day I like hearing what's going on in the house. 🙂

Unless you're a hell of an engineer I don't see how you could mount controllers to that well

And it's not really saving you too much money after you account that you are destroying a $40 bb gun, then need a bunch of materials and tools, as well as time

Not to mention depending on your controller you may run into tracking issues, the weight wouldn't be ideal, you'd have to figure out a solution for removable controller mounts that also are rigid and support enough to hold that weight

After fussing with it for a few hours this is where I ended up.

Raidr Stock but with Protube controller mounts (and grips) and protube buttstock.

It feels really good, now. Raidr buttstock felt a bit too long and was limiting my right arm movement, but wasn’t long enough with short tube.

Not real modification required. Protube parts fit on the raidr tube. Can buy the controller mounts from their site. The buttstock is also sold there, but doesn't come with tubes so may have to buy those parts individually also if you don't have the protube already.

No the protube mounts are rock solid. These are actually magnet cups, but they don't detach unless I want them too, raidr separates first.

Yes! Feels rock solid. I loved the protube but found initially re-clicking in to the stalk took too long, especially if player running in at me and I was looting. Raidr stalk fixes that, but the mounts didn't feel great.

Almost worked out for me, but out of nowhere another part started causing issues that I just couldnt resolved, which tipped me to just refund

played a whole half raid with one of the test prints, never ended up using the final prints once

Wouldn't recommend it for new users to ModusR who don't have that vital part.
