The great part with all Raidrs is that the part that slides/rotates along the tube offers very generic mounting, you can easily adapt anything to go on there

It’s actually on the cheaper end. I never realised how expensive gun stocks are until I started looking. Couldn’t advise on any others but as I said I’ve had no issues. I just got the base model no extended stock

Yes, of course. All cracks by the layers usually. I have experience to see it without trying to break. That is why my grips printed at an angle. Cups printed vertically and that is why they're much thicker. Btw in carbon filled filaments is much harder to predict quality visulally, they're look cool every time. That is why I am not using carbon filaments.

yeah i know what you mean. The "using physical gustock" setting also allows you to calibrate for each different type of weapon. I've had mixed results using it but it may work for you

I cant give a concrete opinion since its my first ever gunstock i have owned, but its pretty nice. the annoying thing is i also pre-ordered the buttstock and i haven't recieved it so its not fully functional. Ya my raidrs screws loosen so I'm thinking of using a little bit of blue loctite but the mounts feel like the cheapest metal so im worried theyre going to snap eventually because you hold up the entire weight of the stock from them and I would've much rather it come with actual controller cups like the freedomstock but all in all it feels really nice until the screw loosens up

Also adding some knuckle grips to your controllers makes the raidr much more usable to the point where I almost think it's mandatory for this type of stock, I added some AMVR knuckles to my quest 3 controllers and it feels way better

I always wrap the tube in electrical tape on all my stocks so the mount sticks but on my raidr the screw that determines how tight the mount is starts to back out after like 20 mins of use so I'm thinking either blue loctite which isn't permanent or a new nylon coated threadlocking screw as a fix

@hazy raft had an ingenious idea to combine the ModusR with the Tabor Raidr... If you've never purchased the ModusR before, you can message the seller (3Daptive) to ask if they can offer the sale of just the Grip, paddle & strap component to you.

Sadly he only offers it for Quest 2,3,pro and HP Reverb G2.

Index users would need to find another solution.

I think it would cost an additional $32 + tax + shipping though.

I went and bought myself replacement parts just now to work with my Quest 3 (since I already had the quest 2 Modus R paddles)

Ya you get alot of stability which helps accuracy but the main advantage is being able to just raise your arms and have your sights lined up instantly, once you master that especially without a cheekweld you can get on target 10x faster than anyone you're facing

I think your perception of time is way off, a second isn't very long but the magtube definitely takes way longer to transition to and from the stock compared to a split stock

You know if you had that last iteration of the Freedomstock, you can remove the battery cover entirely and drop the quest 3 into that grip for the Quest 2 Freedomstock and it'll work ok. I tried and it works a treat.

i think your perceiption is off a lot, I've done quite a bit of measurements on magtube things when certain stock manufacturers have claimed "worlds fastest" or other things. with a magtube gravity does all of the work, you do a very slight twist in the right direction of both controllers and the stock pops right off, its just as fast if not fastaer than the raidr because you arent swinging around any weight or any extra things, just the controllers

gunstock calibration got updated without getting mentioned! now you can drop the default gun given to you in the calibration screen and then pick up your weapon, with attachments included, and calibrate it how you want!

IMPORTANT! YOU MUST SAVE AFTER MAKING A GUNSTOCK CALIBRATION ADJUSTMENT or you can run into a bug where when you click the laser on your gun the unstock calibration comes undone. not fun. just quit and reload, all good

So I guess when using a stock you kinda use one gun for the whole raid and don’t change anything. Naked runs or just pistol would be tough.

Spent a long time getting the protube adjusted and calibrated for an m4. Then added a grip and had to do it all over again.
Unless I’m doing something wrong. I couldn’t imagine trying to fiddle with that while in raid.

It's extremely light, only 160 grams. It moves with you and you can do everything with it. And it's insanely strong too. Swing and move as fast as you want it doesn't break unless you literally smash into a wall full force
