Yeah, I have the modus R also. You can run the stock in the halfway configuration with this game. Don't use gunstock calibration and it works cool

I've got one as well. I mostly like it. It's nice and rigid. The quality of the print is good. It's light too and I find I don't really need a shoulder stock.

On the flip side, I found the controllers don't align perfectly in Tabor. This was however before they added the jank aim fix so this might be fixed already. My second "gripe" is with the magnet. They're super strong. I personally would have preferred slightly weaker magnet, but this is not a deal breaker. At least it's rock solid.

My biggest complaint however that I have trouble getting used to is that as I squeeze my grip, the controllers tend to want to climb out of their sockets. It's not much, maybe half a centimeter, but I just don't like the feeling of controllers moving in the cups.

I'd be happy to hear what are your thoughts on it and whether you find a way to better secure the controllers to the stock.

Any tips on calibrating the gun stock? I am using the istock, and when I go to calibration it automatically drops the gun in my hand, then when I get it lined up and save the position in game when I grab the gun it’s pointing to the ground and my is bent facing down

Check there is pinned comment on this thread by @royal wagon. There is also twitch link with video explaining everything. If you use quest on top of the advice there I would disable any hand tracking enhancement since it may interfere.

didn't run it ingame yet, but just holding the stock it is surprisingly more comfortable than I imagined having my hand that close to my shoulder

and the weight difference due to leverage is massive

been using it for almost a month, its my first gunstock and i cant live without it. there are problems like its slightly flimsy in the back because its 3d printed and my sling mount broke, but the open face grip design is so genius, if you're looting or healing and dont want the stupid quest 2 rings to hit your gun stock, just literally fling it off and the musle memory of just actually grabbing that area is so second nature. not being able to be adjustable does suck but for the price, its a no brainer, yes the ones that are adjustable and magnetic are better but they're also 3 times the price,

Its my own creation, spent last 3 weeks designing making testing , redesigning to get to this stage had 4 revisions so far.
It's come a long way and almost the few last little niggles to fix.

My friend has a quest 3 need to make an attachment point for the top of the quest controllers to act a hand strap and retainer ensure the controller stays firmly in the cup.

Sorry yeah thats the key feature. Made it specifically with Tabor running gunning looting and shooting style play. Which it has performed exceptionally. All guns I have tried some just seem to work.

It has that, you can attach the original strap via that hole also if you like. So yeah technically don't even need the hand strap part to play on the Q3.

but moving the back controller more towards the middle, this leverage decreased which significantly decreased perceived weight, and increased comfort

Yeh the weight is actually pretty crazy to me. And because of the weight, any movement torques the snap in, causing it to loosen the screw that's holding the cup in place it after every action. In game it isn't too noticeable but it bothers me as a consumer to tighten it repeatedly and it not stay tight as it's being used.

Not quite but close. The forearm brace mounts off the side, it's adjustable so you can about get it pointed straight but I'd just buy a kit plus or full kit to get both options

Just to set expectations, it's a bigger grip with a slot down the side that fits grips with silicone covers so you don't have to remove them every time. Justthe dominant hand uses it, the other hand uses the grip by itself.

The tomahawk is a 3 in 1. For shooter games like tabor and fighting games like blade and sorcery. Whereas the butcher one looks to be mainly for shooters and a lot skinnier in design.

Blade and Sourcery $15 upgrade works with the Butcher all Quests, or Tomahawk Quest 2 only, which is pretty cool thing btw, but that's not the point.

I wish I could say I have but I have not used either. However, I do think the butcher, imo, looks sleeker and has improvements on the things that I assume he learned from the tomahawk. And from what others have been saying, it is definitely worth getting either or stock from skol.

Not so many people have both of them, about 20. But the feedback is positive, experience is wider.
I can admit that sitting players sometimes prefer Tomahawk a bit more, for its super compact SMG mode, but otherwise the Butcher is very satisfying.

Equal total weight. But in Tomahawk the grips are lighter, buttstock heavier, while in the Butcher more weight is concentrated in grips. They both have total weight of well made irl pistol. About 700gr. It is less than the full size stocks with sling, but feels of course. And it feels by balance just like that light irl pistol, like brass knuckles, never twisting your wrists. The weight is concentrated in your hand not twisting anything or pressuring on you, pretty easy to get used to.

And both are lightened by maximum without harm to reliability. Making it lighter even a bit, will make it not so ultimately sturdy, and that is my standard of quality.

Girls love to play with it. I know one guy after 3 strokes with very weak left hand who can play only with it, can't bear using other stuff.

So that's a bit thought out thing.

If on Quest disable hand tracking it could be causing your issue.

Check pins for how calibration works to see if anything is causing issues. There's also a bug with it on certain types of stuff but I forget what. Others will know.

The cups arent the best. i have to constantly shift the controllers back into the cups. My left hand goes numb for some odd reason. The length of it is SUPER short so its uncomfortable after like 30 minutes to an hour of play. The concept of it is real nice, unattaching and reattaching so thats probably the only good thing its got going for it. After locking in the screws to my liking, after like 30 minutes they become loose so everything gets woobly mid game.

So after looking at videos, reading reviews and getting PoV's of everyone, I went with the Protube.

Guys, I'll give my opinion after two hours of using the new mamut raidr gunstock. I feel like they sold me a very good idea, but with not so good quality. The materials feels cheap, I saw the tutorial and there's one screw that makes my dominant controller dance a little, no matter how much I tighten it. Without the buttstock feels good and light, but with that piece, the dominant hand feels quite heavy, and with that screw problem, it's a little uncomfortable when I use it to aim with a pistol or use a ladder, or even take something from the floor. The overall idea is, if you don't mind the price and don't care about the buttstock, it's a decent option, but if you can, make it one yourself if you have a friend with a 3d printer, it will be cheaper due to the overall quality of the mamut raidr. And if you care too much about the buttstock, maybe I recommend you another kind of gunstock, or try to get used to the extra weight, but it's not comfortable.

By the way, this is my fourth gunstock, I already tried the MK1, Sanlaki gunstock and the VR-HS- Gunstock.

That is not the issue tho. Problem is that every gun has slightly different body hight and lenght so when you calibrate for example for mp5 you wont be able to ads and uzi or cx. its not super often but there are weapons that are difficult to ADS. Also some grips can change slightly the placing of grip prompt. They need to alow you to rotate left right for other gunstocks and basicaly to calibrate per gun not per class.

They're looking into it, and working on resolving the problems
dont think its fair to give a final verdicht on the raidr yet
