you have to also account for the height over bore, ie how tall your sight is, and making sure you are looking down the sight straight. if you are looking at it off angle you can experience some parallaxing and have your point of aim be different than what you think you are seeing

it can influence your post zero and post second zero points, but its to a much smaller degree

it’s kind of just part of how the hands snap to your gun in this game, but you can make it a bit better by changing the pitch rotation or pitch offset (I don’t remember what it’s called) setting for your non dominant hand to make it less noticeable

Just switched from the forearm brace to the front grip type 2-- gonna calibrate it tonight, super excited. Absolutely love @hollow zinc stock, definitely worth it.

I do however, want to figure out how to make the dominant hand grip a little more comfy. Might take a file to it and smooth down the edges.

i loosened up the strap on mine because sometimes my hand would hurt, but it was because I had it super tight

Brandon explained it to me, I had mine set up like as a wrist brace. way to far forward. he said to hold up the gun stock WITH the forearm angled down and then it all made sense

for me the forearm brace just helps on the fly if I need to make corrections to iron or sights on guns I just go forward or back on my forearm

Yep-- I know exactly what you mean there. Did the exact same thing. My only issue is that my front hand sways pretty badly. For 14 bucks I wanted to see if this would alleviate that, but I actually did enjoy the forearm brace quite a bit.

I saw one setup on his shop reviews where they had both forearm brace and front grip installed-- a little overkill but honestly that might be my next iteration.

Yes got the quest 3 cups. It does get a little better when I take it out the cups. But I've been doing some research and it looks like it is a known issue. The right controller looses tracking. Just looking for a fix now. Thanks for your reply.

I change my gunstock a lot, and usually it takes about a day or two until it's natural again. The trick is to not think about it too much and let muscle memory do its thing for you

for my part, I move my support hand past the bracket and sort of drag it back until it hits the magtube bracket, then rotate it into place. Works every time, regardless of length

Hey @nocturne lotus & @dry merlin can you please confirm the Tabor Raidr stock has been tested and works when using Quest 2 and/or Quest 3 and wielding iron sight guns that need to be held up high (SKS, Hunter…)?

Currently GoT has an issue with controller occlusion of the offhand when using a straight stock with these guns. Unfortunately GoT’s calibration doesn’t allow the offhand to be independently raised.
Not sure what the physical workaround would be for this when using a straight stock but I hope there is one.

Although I’m very happy with my Mamut Apto (with WASP joints) I’ll be ordering a Raidr once it’s confirmed to be fully supported in GoT.

Just get any stock that has a adjustable end. Other basic stocks are not worth it for tabor due to the calibration system.

Seems like your dominant hand will be somewhat limited. With that front piece you're not going to be able to pickup items off the ground with that hand. Also even in the video bandaging looks awkward. I guess it's nothing that can't be overcome once you get totally use to using your non-dominant hand when needed. Please post your experience either way.

Well they certainly don't have to do much work.

@stuck oxide to be fair Onward by Downpour Interactive also has a bit of an issue which is similar but not nearly as bad. Since their last gunstock calibration update they seem to factor in hand tracking to some degree even when the LEDs on the controllers are completely visible. At least that seems to be the cause, they're currently investigating. It's causing a VERY slight floatiness which is only noticeable when aiming at very distant targets. They've had years to dial in gunstock calibration and it's still not absolutely perfect. Only fair CWS gets at least a few months to catch up.

They had the same system as Tabor for years and that recent update swapped over to what contractor's and Pavlov have.

I was in the same boat with onward for some guns but it wasn't nearly as bad as tabor. I could still use all the guns to an extent at least.

With Tabor I can't even hold some of the guns in two hands, let alone aim.

It's hard to differentiate what exactly is calibration related and what is dominant hand offset glitch related

Muscle memory training is key here:

• bandages need a little bit of a wide circle to not crack yourself with the stock; after a few practice runs, I have zero issues.
• off the ground, I generally use my left hand, however-- dominant hand is total possible. The secret is palm down to the ground, and the stock sets flush with the floor. I have no problems this way.

Oh... no that wouldn't fit. Unlike the controllers the Q2 and Q3 are significantly different shapes and sizes. Also you wouldn't want to risk covering the vent which is just a thin little slit around the face and sides.

Hate to tell you but the stock strap and facial interface included with the Quest 3 both kinda suck. I originally added a silicone cover but even that wasn't comfy.
I ended up sticking with the AMVR facial interface for Quest 3 & the BoboVR M3 strap with an Anker Redux 10,000 mAh battery attached to back.
That's what works for me personally but everyone is different. Not saying what I'm using would be best for everyone. Good luck!

There were lots of grips with straps for Quest 2. I think both the AMVR and Mamut grips were more comfortable than Kiwi but like I said the Kiwi were also good. Hopefully there will be more of a selection for Quest 3 soon.

Sorry about the poor experience! I haven’t had time to make a proper tutorial yet. If it’s misaligned horizontally, you can adjust the alignment by changing the rotation of the front controller along the tube axis. Hope that helps

Glad it worked out for you! Gunface is a general purpose gunstock and it Modular so it can be configured in many ways. You can indeedbuild a “mini” version using the 2 shorter tubes in the kit and that should make looting very easy.

My bad, I haven’t had time to update the setup video for quest 3. Sometimes if the controller mounts isn’t sitting flush the it affects the clamp. It’s been fixed in the latest revision. I offer free replacement parts on my site. The magnets takes a bit of muscle memory to feel right. Stronger magnets causes more vibrations that affects tracking.

The gunstock calibration in this game is a little misleading. The ghost gun should not be trusted. During calibrations

Reset calibrations and then ads with your preferred gun. Make suddal adjustments in the calibration system at a time and save then ads again

Moving the adjustments up or down or closer/further away

I've also been on the fence about buying a gunstock like the UltiStock so if I can confirm this is the virtual gunstock it would make my decision pretty easy, lol

it doesn't exactly float away like the backpacks used to do but just enough to completely mess up aiming. the reason I think it could be the virtual gunstock is because the gun acts like my shoulder teleported up and to my right, and snapping to that point like a virtual stock thing

My quest 3 used to do that, turns out I was holding it too close to my face. I ended up checking in the menu. You can see you controller icons on the quest menu, they get like a special symbol if they have lost tracking. Try that an experiment

Thanks for posting this! They do look about the same so it seems even with the straight stock config you're able to setup the Raidr in a way that avoids controller occlusion.
Ideally I'd like to see a longer range test with a non-magnifying sight on the gun with optics and perhaps a steadier hand but I've already asked for enough.
I'm convinced the Raidr will be an improvement for me and will be placing an order soon.
I'm still hoping Tabor will get an update to the gunstock calibration system but regardless I'll be looking forward to using one of these.

Ah, I found Quest 3 gunstock adapters for Sanlaki gunstock, that is the hardest part to model. I can use those and build the rest of the stock from whatever or design it myself.

Reason I stopped using it is because I have the 7thVR gun stock, they offer free replacements if you damage anything within the first 3 months and didn't charge extra for the product that's advertised like other websites do

it was quite amusing shooting from further away as you can even brace the pistol into your shoulder to be really accurate

I personally like to do pistol only runs on most VR games as they tend to have insane strength (not really on GOT) you're just limited by recoil and optics but with a stock it's a whole different game 😂

Yeah, that's true although I didn't like a lot of their features personally. That's why I went with 7th. I didn't wanna pay extra to get what is used in videos, didn't wanna wait ages for international shipping and wanted a solid unit since even with that stock you have to aim with your left arm even if it is leaning against the stock

Looks like a fun design although probably not the most practical design for GOT when compared to others since the raidr is pretty damn good design wise for GOT and the 7thVR stock uses a similar format so definitely optimised for the game
