Are there any split gun stocks that don't cost 70 bucks?
You have two versions for quest 2/3/pro
I need one for a quest 2
The TOMAHAWK/BUTCHER are not only gunstock’s they are VR multi tool 😎
What is a light hood but cheap stock
Butcher not available dude
Only tomahawk, I bought one with your code . Being made as we speak
Thank you,appreciate that
The stock ends very fast but each day we made restock at this hour’s
yo
This is response from tabor stock
Ready!!
Everything is good! We are currently in production, and we are on track to ship the items this quarter (by the end of March all orders should be shipped).
-Mikael
So this confirms the tabor gun stock release date!
Anyone knows a splitting quest 2 gun stock?
The VR-HS was designed to work with all guns in game. Check it out exact3d.co.uk
Is it fast splitting?
the front hand is using a custom cup and the rear hand is magnetic. Can see it in action here https://youtu.be/aQ38wQNDxd8 also available on multi platform
yess
See alot of folks asking for a stock that splits but yall should peep the ultistock. It's built to be able to handle any gun with no adjustments. Not a gun in tabor this thing can't let you grip comfortably without moving a thing. Peep his video on YouTube if you want more. Got mine a few weeks back and I'm obsessed
And it's 55 bucks for that whole set up
I want the butcher. If u had to choose would u choose the tomahawk though?
I use the tomahawk 😉
So many people with paid endorsements and advertisements in here.
when will the TABOR RAIDR stock sbe shipping? It just says q1 2024
Available now,only 4 in stock😉
By March I’d assume but q1 is all that’s been released
We are waiting on thw last parts and will then start assembly. At the very latest end of March but most likely much sooner. Once we have the last parts in hand and they clear QC we will make an announcement
But I want my stock NOW
Then use a virtual stock which you'll have NOW! 😉
You make YOUR own
I made my own 🙂
Prove it
Yo that’s actually sick
what is a good budget gunstock
Can i buy the tabor raid gunstock or is it not finished
i 3d printed one that i found online
works pretty well but its harder to release the controller to swap to normal operation
I can vouch for this stock. It is amazing; and works right out of the box. I did not have to mess with calibration settings in-game.
Appreciate your feedback,thank you 🥰
I used to play Pavlov a lot so I purchased the ProTube twice, once for my quest 1 and again for my quest 2. After buying the Tabor stock I was looking at the pictures and decided to mod my ProTube to be exactly like the Tabor stock (except that the break away is still at the controllers and not the middle of the tube). The idea is that it will be an easy transition to the Tabor stock. I really wanted to get good at freehanding and not using a stock but I gotta admit once I switched back to a stock I instantly stopped dying and started actually getting to extract. I know a lot of people are gonna blame it on skill but irl you have contact points so it makes sense that a stock would give you better immersion and accuracy. I’m just saying for me it’s a complete game changer, take it for what it’s worth.
So i got the protube. Do you guys have any issues with, when you connect them to magnets, and it clicks it in. Sometimes you get a blownout(losing connection, to the controller). It's quite annoying
which controllers?
Q3 controllers sorry
you'll want to disable the 'tap controllers together to enable hand tracking' feature in the q3
Oh I have that gunstock
201 meter kill with it
CCCCCCCCCC
C-grip VR, even has a tabor mod
Would this work with tabor
Need a good one 100 to 200 pound
You lot are talking about it I'm so slow
It will work really well with Tabor. It's my fourth gunstock and best I've used, I don't need to use the calibration in GoT
Not to bad then
If you want a gunstock that allows you to go from looting to ADS as fast as freehanding with full two-hand stability and immersive feel you desire, try my product, the UltiBrace. It's fully modular, fully adjustable, strong and lightweight as well as affordable. https://brandodrumvr.etsy.com
Anyone know if they fixed the alignment bug and calibration yet?
the alignment system is working as designed, follow the guide if you need help understanding how to use it
i think there are some quest specific bugs related to hand pitch rotation, which is not part of the gunstock system
Not sure what you're laughing at. Thanks for the uh...support lol
Since today only with physical gunstock enabled, each time I grabbed a gun with 2 hands it would point at a random different direction. I had to deactive physical gunstock because it was unplayable
Yeah pitch rotation. As for calibration it’s just flawed and I’m waiting for them to update to a proper working system that most if not all other titles use.
there werent any code updates today
but I didn't have the issue before
then its not somethign that started today
for me it is, I played yesterday and it worked
you just noticed it today
it can be an issue on my side only
its possible, but with no code updates since the patch 2 days ago its not something new today
but before after calibrating everytime I aim with the gunstock it was always same alignment, today it changed depending on where my non dominant hand took the gun
delete your savegame file and try again
follow the guide for the proper steps so you dont run into issues with hand pitch rotation
ok I'll try next time I hop in, where can I find the save game?
I followed one of you videos to do the calibration
deleting savegame instructions are in pinned in #❓・questions
So we can make adjustments to our forehand now? Last time I tried on my quest 2, quest 3, and PCVR version I can only adjust the rear grip hand which makes the calibration system nearly useless for my gunstock (Sanlaki)
get a more expensive gunstock 🤓
no, it does not make forehand adjustments. it was not designed to do so
Is that CWS official stance on physical stock calibration for the future? I would certainly hope it's on the backlog at least?
they do plan on bringing additional features to the gunstock system at some point in the future
that's good. I got nervous when you said it's "working as designed" like this is IT lol
just because you dont like how its designed doesnt mean its a bug
I wouldn't call it a bug so much as an incomplete design. It fails to calibrate for probably 50+% of available VR gunstocks on the market. Which is fine I mean the game isn't "done" yet
lots of people confuse these two things
see: how many times "bug" or "glitch" has been mentioned related to the gunstock calibration because it doesnt change the front hand
for sure I think that's just people using whatever terminology they think of first, because it's not explicitly mentioned that the system is still a WIP
I think you'd field a lot less questions about it if that was just a little footnote in the calibration screen.
I admittedly had the same reaction when I spent 20 minutes trying to calibrate unsuccessfully, because my first reaction was the system should be working for me but something is wrong, it never occurred to me it's just not finished yet
there is a giant red banner at the bottom of the mission screen that states the game is not done yet is in beta and some things might not work properly yet
End of march I got email from them and posted in this chat
Lay off the naps and triple choco chip
That would be worst case, as soon as the last parts are in our hands we'll know more
cool
tryna decide between an Ultistock and a Tabor Raidr
Have they sent out any of the gun stocks or giving any new info besides Q1
We have not, but should know more tomorrow hopefully
Does someone have also the problem with calibration at the moment? I can’t Calibrate mps or grip the weapon on the front when I try to calibrate mps it shakes around
First couple raids I suffered from droopy wrists
grips change the gun shape regardless of using calibration or not
anyone got a pic of how thier magtube is set up for GOT. I have watched loads of videos how to set it up for every gun. But looking for a pic of how a few people set the magtube up. So i can copy and go from there 🙂 any help would be great.
ragesaq has good clips on it, just pause he shows his setup in them
deleted savedata folder
i had issues i could not seem to get around until i completely deleted that folder, then no issues at all following tht
That's nice I'll do it tomorrow
How does that happen though?
I feel like its just random code getting mixed through the calibration process and when it tried to load up info when switcing weapons it can skew the code, just a hypothesis
fuyi i dont even have to use in game calibration anymore, I use the mamut apto wasp whcih is like the magtube and literally with no ingame calibration at all, my stock works with nearly every weapon perfectly, except the luty, that thing all bonkers but fugg the luty anyway lol
Cheers Jon I will give it another watch and pause it. Cheers for your help
i tried the layout ragesaq had and it just didnt work for me, mine is bent almost into a V if i remember his video his is kinda opposite that. Just sit in game, calibate to what feels comfortable to you
Where I buy stoke
when will the RAIDR ship
check pins
Best semi affordable gun stock?
They are waiting on parts to be shipped to them. Also was told
"Anyhow, at least we know now that nothing got stuck in the chinese new year, sooo, could upgrade the "Soon ™️" to "Pretty damn Soon ™️" in regards of meaningful update"
Glistco magnistock on amazon with carbon fiber its solid been using it for roughly two weeks and have absolutely zero complaints
You should atleast set your nickname as something else cause seeing you promote a gunstock as yourself makes me not want to buy it.
on positions i use an extra handle to swap between close and far
I do wish there was an angle grip adapter for the mag cups

gunstock people, is using a stock that only attaches to the right controller worth it
It can help some however i find it easier and cheaper in tabor to use your jaw or place your controller on your lips you look funny but it works well with some guns. If you are gonna buy one cause of price wait a while longer and save up the money for a two controller one
anyone got some experience with this one? Its cheap and basicly only has positive reviews and the video makes it look great too, theres gotta be some kind of catch
*edit: fuck me its 30 dollars for delivery
lmao thats the catch, i think ultistock is pretty good
armbrace or front grip?
any, i heard armbrace is better for tabor tho, frees up ur hand
@vague rover
ight thx, time to save up for a few months
yeah about to buy it, so excited
Arm brace is the way
Yes same I have watched the video and it just doesn't work well for me. Don't get me wrong his video is brilliant. But maybe need to try it my self My own way. Thanks
Thank you
I was watching a way older one 😄 thanks
We restock the Butcher gunstock 26 pieces available for a 5% discount use the link https://skolvr.com/discount/fox69 or the fox69 code at checkout 😘
cheap for a good gunstock
I have invested my money in some shares. I now know what to buy
Absolutely right mate💪🏻
Just snapped my glistco + in half any suggestions on a good VR stock that ships to Australia. Thanks in advance legends!
Then absolutely you must try the tomahawk/butcher gunstock
Check DM 👍🏻
Cheers bro!!
Yeah I know. I guess I need to pretend I'm not me to sell the product I make ..
Most of them do
He knows that was sarcasm lol
xdd
Ah missed the rest of the conversation
@hollow zinc do you know of any streamers or YouTubers using your product for tabor, I’d love to see it in action for a full round.
I could have sworn there was a video of someone using it in Tabor, in this channel. I cant find it tho
Fair.
Protube has rage
Skolvr has fox
Brandon has Cep
Mamut VR has all of cws
Cep has some clips in this channel
@burnt barn ^^^
Is Cep on YouTube or twitch ?
He's just some dude in this discord.
He shared some really good videos here in this channel. Search his name and include the search string 'has: media'
You can find some clips here https://www.tiktok.com/@f0x.69?_t=8jjlCgfuONU&_r=1
Thanks
Only about skolvr
I've had to order so many replacement parts for my Magni +, and I've only had it for 2 months. Basically could have built 2 with the parts I ordered. The stock works but the quality is so shit
Yeah. Goofy goobers skimped out on materials. That's why it's so cheap. It's the poor man's Protube
Yeah even the injected plastic is cheap. It's funny because the parts I've had to order are made differently than the originals that were in the box. Seems kind of shit that they sell old stock, knowing it's prone to breaking, then give you better quality "replacement" parts
Thanks, I did see their official video that also shows tabors tutorial, though I was hoping to see more of a full gameplay video. I’ll just keep my eye out and maybe @hollow zinc or @steep orbit can find / make one.
That's shitty business practice, but what can you do lol
I have purchased a ton of these stocks.
I think of them... Protube takes the cake on engineering
If you want something to hold you over until you get your big boy stock try this:
How I recommend you run the offhand(forward hand): https://www.twitch.tv/sweatygeckottv/clip/CulturedRealKangarooAsianGlow-rspWyA7nRZYPsK_2
-Just with my stock, not the https://www.etsy.com/listing/1433726625/speedrun-pro-vr-gunstock-meta-oculus?ref=yr_purchases that Gecko runs
DonZzzilla's iteration upon the original Poor Man's Gripstock. ...
I'm not selling anything. 😂
I’m also using the pro tube, it’s good once you get the hang of it.
Though a little more on the expensive side
To be fair I sat my fat ass on mine lol
That'll do it
Awesome thanks man
Sure thing!
@dire frost check this
I’m impressed how the brace keeps it perfectly steady
@fervent void yeah these look pretty good but they seem to be on the smaller side. I have lanky arms so I even have to use the Magni stock upside down for the little bit of extra length
I'm no flashy YouTuber but here's a video explaining how it all works https://youtu.be/T_alHJ402mY?si=Wey6zwgnH6f_WAp4
…and this
Butcher is nonfoldable, (less versatile), and has no leather pads for better grip, (less comfortable). More affordable compromice. Tomahawk worth the difference for sure.
I am 1.85 mate and believe me it’s ok
Diy iStockish (actualy gluing two halves together)
What am I looking at
funny man im 6 ft tall should i use XL or Standart?
iStock copy (iBlock) now glued together
Humm, I say XL
If you feel you've got long arms and such
hey @hollow zinc, just wondering do you do the shipping for the UltiStock or is it done by Etsy?
It's USPS I buy the label through Etsy though
ah gotcha, USPS usually has slightly cheaper rates but I guess it's a bigger package. also, do you have any pictures of the available color options? the Etsy listing only shows blue, red and green but I was wondering what the purple and white ones look like
Nice work. Practically how I got started but it was before iStock. Just kept tweaking and here I am lol
I haven't done purple and white yet sadly
damn, those look pretty good
Oh and for international shipping (you're in the EU right?) It's Etsys courier service. It saves a lot of money off of regular USPS
sounds good, will consider getting one to get rid of that shaky aim
I'm here when you're ready!
That's really nice work.
thanks!
lol how did you snap it?? XD
Got the Protube parts in today and just finished this monstrosity: The MagniTube
man if only gunstocks weren't that expensive
ill have to save a while i guess
Total cost, with the Protube sale a few weeks back, was about 130$. Kind of ridiculous that some parts cost the same amount as the Magni, but I've got the adjustments of a Magtube, all carbon fiber, and adjustable cheek weld. For the Magtube that would've been over 200$
anyone know if magni stock does a replacement part for the connector between the pipes?
That back end setup is massive, how do you get a good length of pull and cheek weld?
Yeah, they have all the replacement parts on the glistco site
I’ve never seen a setup like that
It's a little distorted by the way I took the picture, and I have long arms. I've only done a quick test to check the calibration, but so far so good.
oh hell yea, thank you sir
The craziest setup I’ve seen is someone who built a quasi tank turret kind of thing that he wore over both shoulders around his neck
Like a tuba. Made out of pvc
That's amazing, but how did it work? Lol
i dont think very well, it was a long time ago
I posted a pic earlier of how my mag tube is setup. I tried different adjustments for a few years but recently went with a more simple design. Now I just adjust my head to make up for difference between guns. It actually adds more immersion because irl each gun you hold would feel different and requires different muscle memory.
Would that be my purple order 👀👀
It’s a shame tbh on Etsy there no option for purple and white just purple and black otherwise I would have chose it
I added it because of you!! Check out the new color options
Well and several others actually. But yeah
I can’t seem to see it
Ahhhh I found it it’s on the regular model I ordered the full kit in purple and black
Ah I need to fix that should be on all listings
Would it be alright if I messaged you on Etsy to see if it’s possible to change the black for white ?
Sure thing!
Are there any haptic add-ons?
ProTube does but it’s the same cost of the stock itself
Ah. I might look into that...
Regarding mussel memory I have these two set ups currently
I like the shoulder rest on yours. I used to strive for that extra point of contact but it made fine tuning everything so much damn harder. After I ordered the Tabor gun stock I decided to try the simplest approach, if anything just to prepare for trying out the Tabor stock when it arrives.
Do they make any that replaces the battery cover with a magnetic base pad? I've seen the ones that you stick your controller into, but it seems like it'd be smart.
Hi guys,
I have a problem with my stock, not just in tabor, in every VR game.
If i put both my controllers in my stock, and then just hold it straight in front of me, like you would with a gun, the front of the gun is shifted to the right. So to Aim Properly ill have to like aim to the left. Is this normal or just a problem for me?
Do you have virtual gun stock?
tried both with and without
both those setups look wild af, you must be compensating with ing ame calibration huh?
my setup is very simple, i dont use in game calibration at all and it works perfect.
thats due to back hand rotation
how do i fix?
nah they are configured to not use any calibration
rotate back hand outward, rotate front hand inward
imagine you were gripping the gun irl and wanting it to be straight while one handing it
so you dont use physical gunstock or virtual gunstock options in game? both are off with these setups?
my brain isnt braining
so spin your back hand clockwise
correct
also make sure you have virtual gunstock option off
Anyone has a good stock to 3D Print for Tabor?
this is due to your stocks physical orientation. you will need to make horizontal adjustments with the front and/or the back until the guns point straight
the gunstock calibration system does not address horizontal changes
its such an filament waste to try like 50 diff variations. so ill just look in the internet
this is why from the beginning of VR gunstocks over 7 years ago you would get an adjustable stock
dont get a fixed stock, you need multiple adjustments or you will run into issues
minimum adjustments needed for a viable stock
1: front/back controller angle relative to stock
2: horizontal controller position relative to stock
3: butt/cheek rest position relative to stock
4: front/back distance adjustments relative to stock
5: height adjustments between controllers
I've been looking to buy a gunstock for a while now, anybody got some recommendation's ?
We got people here who make them (?) And they are very nice. Personally I jusssst couldnt quite afford one of those (not disparaging the manuf, I'm sure they use higher quality care and materials).
I had a coupon on Amazon so I picked up the Magni stock for pretty cheap
I haven't gotten it yet but that's what I did
Welp while i wait for my tabor raidr i just bought the magtube protube
youll never use the raidr if you have a protube in this game lol
I wish I could just buy a haptic scoliniod and strap it to any vr stock
Anyone know of any? There has to be a reasonably priced dev kit or something
Pffft
can confirm. i ordered a raidr but all i ever use is a protube
soon right Abhraxxas? lol
Im a mamut apto wasp user personally and same thing goes for that haha
Not if UPS gets to decide apparently, damn I hate freight... Were supposed to assemble today, but nooooo, UPS decided it's more fun if the goods collect dust in Cologne till Tuesday.
Oh fr? Why lol
Haha, well, it is pretty damn awesome.
Still, raidr is less material, still same stiffness.
adjustment points my dude, elevation changes are almost required in this game from front to back hand to have a wide use of weapons, that may change potentiall but just speaking on current form
no doubt, i dont doubt the product at all, mamut is premium
I'd say yaw is where it's at
True I had the mini stock one but dog got to it lmaoo so i need a gunstock again cause yuhboiii sucks now without it
Umm, the Raidr is >>>> to protube for this game. a protube user will die before they clip in. It's just a better approach for this type of shooter.
you straight trippin, you act as if its a job to clip in, its beyond easy my dude XD
the magnets find each other, its instant
did i get this right? You start with productiuon next week?
ive had everything from fixed to single hand to split and by far, the apto was levels above
Haha, ngl, love doing that.
Yeah, if UPS finally plays WITH us, and there is nothing wrong with the production, it's full steam ahead
awsome!
So, not in the clear yet, but still, the biggest time eating hurdle is passed, the chinese new year.
why tf do we always do production around then, talk about edging
What do y’all recommend me to buy? Need something really cheap and very effective for ghost of tabor
String, tie each end to both controllers
Oh shit. Interesting idea but not that cheap lol. Maybe something on Amazon?
how much cheaper can you get besides string?
If you don't have string take a spare USB cable you have lying around and tie that
We did start with R&D late 2022 for GoT together with CWS, so it would be a big fail if we didn't nail it 😅
When is the Tabor gunstock shipping 😭
2027
Assembly is expected next week, so not far away at all.
We've never done assembly on this in bulk, so can't really give any predictions right now, but shouldn't take long
Hehe, nah
When I use my stock It won't lock my grip and on . I have to take controller off stock and the hook up again. Anyone having this issue
Are we getting the gunstock calibration rework on the Feb 22nd
no word as to when any future changes to the calibration system will be coming
Do you mean yaw?
60$ thats not cheap...
Eh, that's pretty damn good value for the money
excited to release my gunstock design soon into the market 😎 After playing Tabor so much, the game motivated me to finally commit to making the highest quality and most awesome gunstock.
No teasers?
whats ur price range?
Thanks so much I'm very excited ☺️
how often is a wipe
every 3-4 months
Under 20
that dont leave too much
yeah
Literally just plastic built in a unique way to fit controllers
i paid $80 for mine
I just ordered the ultistock
Does anyone of you have a STEP file of the Quest3 Controllers? I am working on my own stock but currently i work with an STL and thats a bit of a pain for me...
But does that provide legit any stabilization
air
Is there a way to get a magnetic stock working where the controllers are slightly offset? Right now with the stock I have when the left hand is locked in place it's too far to grab the grip point for most guns so I have to awkwardly rotate it to grab the grip and if I rotate it back to put it in a comfortable position the gun gets pulled to the left and it's no longer really usable. Seems like with the way the game is where the left controller is when you hit the grip button and lock in place is treated as truth which makes sense for no stock but in a case where the stock doesn't line the controllers up perfectly it doesn't work very well. Calibration doesn't seem to affect this issue.
What's a decent stock for Quest that's not too expensive any of y'all would recommend?
Gun calibration in this game is fucked and the Devs aren't doing anything about it, the last gunstock update broke the gunstocks for so many different people so I wouldn't even try atm
Gotcha. Yeah I just put in a suggestion but I imagine they have their hands pretty full with the meta release atm. Oh well.
They're busy raising the price of the game
And completely invalidating anyone who bought nuclear night
Has anyone here converted a ruger 10/22 stock to a vr gunstock. If so do u have any tips?
Yea i couldnt use my magni stock i couldnt use nomore
just bought a mq3 adjustable gunstock carbon
$157 is alot tho 😂
is it okay I got chrome? Carbon was to expensive
anyone here can help me with a calibration please?
the bullet lands unde the reflex sight dot, ant idea what fixes that?
Shooting from the right distance
Sights are zero’d to 50m, look up the ballistics table for your weapon in question and you’ll understand what the second zero is
Before the first zero it will hit low relative to the sights height over bore
kinda like bullet pattern?
Ballistics are fully and accurately modeled
So learn to shoot like it and you’ll figure it out quickly
okay i thought is was the calibration for the gunstock being messed up
No
thanks for letting me know, ive been messing with the calibration for 3 hours
is it okay I got chrome???
im just glad Mamut created a stock that works with cosmos controller, thought id never get one. thanks mamut, preordered from the land of aus
My gunstock has limitless calibration capabilities.
Every bolt point is a geared or length adjustment.
Works great even in the updates.
Guys… IS IS OKAY I BOUGHT THE CHROME ONE?
Best budget gunstock?
3d print your own.
You can also use like.. cardboard and stuff but I used the Sanlaki files and like it.
Theres also PVC pipe options up above. I just prefer the weight of my 'rifle' to be above the hand like a rifle.
how do you connect your controller on the magtube?
Istock for 50$ but if you have a 3d printer you can just copy the design
a stock for only 1 controller, its light easy to use, and helps land those long range shots. Not as good as most 2 hand stocks buts good
Anyone got a recommendation for a cheap entry level stock? I just need something I can use every once in awhile.
where did you buy the magnets for the 3d printed one? is there links anywhere on thingiverse for it
Amazon. I modified the files I printed so I frankly wouldn't have to buy two different sized magnets.
You can find them pretty easily as they're sold by hundreds of generic sellers
the magnets are different sizes? alright well thank you ill look on amazon
Try the VR-HS with the SMG attachment, works with all guns and carbon fiber version is supper light
Ultistock???
no 3d printer
anyone can help me to set up a settings pls
i cant do a thing that i put my dominant hand on the chest and then the other in the chin the gun loook terrible
are magnetic gunstocks unnatural to reload because you have to "pull away" from the magnet first?
anyone a fan of 3Daptive ModusR VR Gunstock
they aint unnatural, just pull ur hands away and reload
Is a anyone else having ing an issue with calibrating there gunstock stock since the recent wipe? My rear grip hand has the gun canted to the right, it's absolutely unusable.
Ty, a lot and I think my local library has a 3D printer would you know how to use that? Or should I find a tutorial? Is the Istock also 2 controllers or one?
I recommend bowkVR. On his discord he provides the 3d printable files. Then you just need some wooden dowel. I've been using mine for 2 years now.
The main thing with 3d printing is knowing if you need to add 'supports' for an an object to print.
Ah ok idk if I have one of those so would like any metal/plastic pole would work with it? And how much is it if anything.
They need to be correct size so fit and you screw the parts into it. So getting a cheap wooden dowel from local hardware store would be cheap
With dowel and 3d plastic it only cost me less than £5 id say
I live in the us so I have no idea what that is 😭 what are the sizes so I could find something like it?
i dont have a 3d printer, and i dont really want to spend more than 50 any diy alternates
^^
I think he provides a version of the stock files that work with 1/2 wooden dowel for those who prefer freedom units from metric 😉
Just search for bowkVR, go to his discord and you'll see a section for DIY files.
Search on what? Like the server or YouTube?
If you really do want to 3d print the parts, find out what the printer is and let me know in DM and I can get the files.prepared for you to print 😉
Sure I might go today or tmr but it is raining heavily so sometime today
Is it cool if I add you and let you know when I do?
Darn
Yes. Just DM me and I'll sort your files for you to print at the library.
So..I'm new to Tabor and can't find an actual gunstock calibration menu?? Just option to enable a physical stick.
u cant calibrate in raid only in bunkers
it should be above enable tho
Thanks. I feel daft now lol
Any tips on calibration. Feels like once I grip the gun it tilts downwards a lot so I have to tilt my front up quite high, very unattural.
Try the hand pitch rotation setting? Settings, scroll down to the bottom, you can adjust the pitch of your hands up or down for when aiming with a gun. Should help that issue, if it's the one I think you're having.
I'll give it a try thanks
I bought that exact stock around the end of December. Have been using it with Tabor pretty much every weekend since.
Positive:
For Tabor specifically, the magnetic detach makes it really great for looting and the ability to use controller grips with the stock was something I really wanted. It really ticks all the boxes for me as far as what I wanted in a stock goes. Once well calibrated, there really aren't any guns that I haven't been able to use with it. As a bonus it also feels really good to use like a pistol brace as you can simply detach your mainhand and brace the butt against your forearm in a pretty natural way. Great for shooting while opening a door, for example.
negative:
Lack of adjustability. Controllers can really only go forward or backwards. You NEED to use the in-game stock calibration to make some guns usable, especially bolt action rifles. Because of the lack of physical calibrations, AR's and SMG's will likely be your sweetspot here, although other guns are definitely useable. Removing and connecting the controllers from the cups is a bit of a process as well, which might be a negative if you play a lot of non-shooters.
Problems since purchase:
Stock has broken twice. Both times the creator was really responsive and quick to fix the issues. First break was the adhesive holding one of the magnetic couplers broke, which was easily resolved with a little bit of superglue - completely fixed in under a minute.
Second break was one of the controller cups broke (See tape in picture - front controller). This break happened while removing the controller from the cup, and was likely user error from not loosening up the stock properly before removing the controller. I was able to get this part repaired with some glue and masking tape, and it seems solid, however the creator is sending out a new set of controller cups free of charge which are supposedly going to be a better design that is less likely to break.
Overall, happy with the purchase.
Ight thx, I'll probably buy that one at some point, sounds great
Does anyone know how i could 3d print a gunstock without owning my own printer
but my poor ass will have to save up 2 months or so for it
I think he was doing a 25% off sale during the holidays, which made it absurdly cheap compared to other options around that time.
*my broke ass has 15 bucks left for the rest of the month, student stuff
Yeah. definitely make sure you eat this month. Its not worth starving over 🤣
I still live with my parents so eating aint a problem
im totally 18 so they still have mercy on me
Also, don't know if its obvious from the picture, but I use it in gun stock mode and NOT "face" mode. I havn't really played around with the face thing at all and cant comment on it.
Check for my guide in the pins
is a gunstock worth it
I let you know when I get mine off @brandodrumvr
From my experience with Contractors and breachers it definately is for me. Makes me more accurate.
Go to the hardware store buy some plumbing pipe n put it together and make one it's like 15$
Not professional but it works
even a ruler to hold your dominant hand steady helps 😂 I've been there at some point 🤣
Cause trying to hold your hand against your cheek don't work to well 😂
And the gun goes crazy
Always depend on dedication.
It will help you have a predictable aim
how do you guys adjust your gunstock for the side grip? if i use it my gun will point to the right
What stock do you use?
magtube
and i need it to be so that i can still pick up weapons mid raid and use them without the side grip
i know it's possible cause i've seen people that can do it but i don't know how
Check pin for guide on calibrating
And don’t use the side grip
Shift grip has almost identical stats
yeah i have my gunstock perfectly set up for everything except for side grip
i find them way more often than the shift grip
alr
They sell for good money
i use the halo mini most of the time since they're quite good and easy to find
Those are only tier 3. They are quite common though
yeah i suck at leveling traders
Yeah its pretty boring without quest items
can anyone recomend a cheap gunsstock for quest 2?
this thing is cheap anyone know if its decent?
whats it called
i have the curse of being from germany, everything from etsy costs a shitton to import
sad
anyone not recommend the protube magtube?
Kobra Stocks are in UK and are great
from the uk its 20% tax
then theres the 22 dollar delivery cost
fuck brexit
that way the 65 euro kobra stock would cost 180 euro for me
nvm i had something else in my cart
still 100 euro tho i aint paying 35 bucks to import a stock
Daum
yeah if it aint from the eu its not affordable for me
Yeah, customs charges is a thing...
Does anyone know of a vr gunstock less than 40$ (America)
Gonna go shameless and plug mamutvr.com
From Sweden and official gunstock.
Might be more than you anticipated paying though. Can't just say nothing though.
Honestly is a gunstock really worth it for tabor. I feel like it would make gameplay harder
i cant hit shit without a gunstock cause i have really shaky hands
its honestly a problem, i feel like dr. strange at points
Wouldn't know really, you can't really go back to free welding though, must mean something.
Syncing front and back hand means a lot.
Does it make looting more difficult?
also fuck me thats expensive
you'd think a metal pipe with 2 controller holders on it wouldnt cost 80 dollars
actually nvm its carbon fiber
actually nvm according to google a kilo of carbon fiber costs 6 bucks
thinking mamut should price it for bargen basement costs, hes gotta eat too
Not really, even with a conventional stock (with the controllers respectively attached to the stock, magnet or or not). The split stock kind adds extra convenience in terms of mobility.
Theres gotta be some cheap stock manifacturer based in europe somewhere right
It's actually hard to find profit in a production like this. We ain't doing per sale 3D print, but actual metal die cast production. VR is still a very low wield sell, since frankly, we're a pretty... Limited crowd...
Every production like this is near cost, and very near the last thing you'll make.
god damn
I guess ill see if i can find someone with a 3d printer and make my own, i cant afford spending half the price of a quest 2 for an extension of the controller
omg, just support your vr vendor, we want him to grow and make cooler stuff, and you will not get his quality, if you magyver it
yeah but they won't have to spend hundreds on a piece of plastic that is worth 10 bucks and if you do end up using a 3d printer it not like its gonna be bad because they have been used for this type of stuff for years
If you're interested I'm working on this but I still need a month or so until it's completely done
thats absurd reasoning, he created a product, with multiple components, its not one price of material, its quality, its worth the asking price,
Plastic? Pffft
also the fact it has been endorsed by the game itself, speaks volumes
no offense but im a student and an unpaid intern i cant pay fucking 135 dollars for what is basicly a controller extension
I really don't care what some random dude made and charging 10x the price of the material if i could 3d print the same product with it working just as well but only have to pay what a few bucks in plastic, if you wanna waste hundreds of dollors on a glorified piece of plastic
i agree regent
honestly ye, sure they might be fancy but its not like its an accessory or smth, literally if its a fancy stock with tons of detail or a literal metal pipe with a magnet on it doesnt matter, you are wearing a headset you aint seeing that shit anyway
Is this... In reference to me?
well, that is a problem, taking a job with no income, i wouldnt do it. cant believe thats a thing
in germany you gotta have an internship or you get kicked out of school
at least with the schooltype that i'm in
thats moderm slave labor, sorry mate
germany be like
they give the homeless and jobless a home, electricity and 600 dollars per month but nothing to students that cannot actually work
Anyhow, pay what your budget allows, you'll find that a stock, whichever model, will up the game a lot. Don't underestimate DIY
Those who can diy those who can’t buy at a premium and the world keeps spinning
Best gunstock for 90-100CAD
Got to bring back a router I only thought I needed so I figure I spend the extra change on a gunstock so I can flatten pll as it should be
I was looking at that wasp thing for like 200 but it looks like a real working competitive unit with a lot to say above my current choice, the ultistock, which is a warrior in both it's price range and engineering
I know I'm gunna have another spare 100 sometime soon enough halfway down the Rd and don't wanna regret not having for the wasp
The sturdy 4 points of contact seem un matched
save up a bit more money and get a magtube, its the go to
im in the process of making my own cuz im not happy with any of the ones i found, either too expensive or bad
i have a 3d printer so my price perception is a bit skewed
Man
I see all these expensive stocks with magnets I don’t understand how you would be able to pick stuff up on tabor with putting down the stock first otherwise you got a long stick smacking your floor when you try to pick something up can someone explain?
anyone been using te tabor stock? how is it?
anyone using the 3Daptive ModusR VR gunstock on GoT?
So you got the mod ticket support?
you turn your hand sideways
think i can turn an old wii sports golf club attachment into a gun stock?
im damn near begging you to try
screw it why not
do yall mess with my gunstock
BAHHAA
i got a baseball attachment too so if i fail with the golf one then i have a spare ig
They haven’t shipped to anyone yet
So it stands to reason that is not the experience people with good stocks have right?
I do, it was nice but I preferred having a full stock instead.
I just ordered one for tomorrow and was also wondering if it really helped ready your sight
center the sight
It stabilizes your back hand so you only have to worry about keeping your front hand steady.
It helps but I’d rather both hands just be connected by a rail.
Ok thanks
It does give you an adapter to tie a string from your front hand to the stock to simulate having a full stock but this game requires that you be able to move both hands independently.
Plastic works well enough for your actual headset and controllers. Don't gotta spend a fortune to get aim stability. But carbon fiber is also dirt cheap. These products aren't being sold at cost.
There are more affordable options like coat hangers. Or stuff like this
Does anyone know a good 3d printed gunstock that is for quest 3
Wait a minute…
any one handed 3d printable ones good off of thingiverse
if its too short you could edit it in a cad sofware if you know how
if not then it still helps but might make it annoying
Yall know any tutorials to make one at home
ayyy that's my baby.

How I recommend you run the offhand(forward hand): https://www.twitch.tv/sweatygeckottv/clip/CulturedRealKangarooAsianGlow-rspWyA7nRZYPsK_2

Im trying to find a 3d printable stock for the index knuckle controllers. I have a prusa MKS3 and an MK4 just sitting here doing nothing.
Yeah 🥳
Me not having a gunstock:
There's a problem for me with using foregrips on any weapons ingame. The guns just point up throwing of my aim. Plus, in most cases om completely unable to grab the foregrip itself.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Ive already calibrated my gunstock and enabled the physical gunstock setting.
Gunstock angles off of back hand, it doesn't dynamically adjust for grips. The best you can do is physically adjust your stock, change calibration in game for grip specific loadouts, or grab the grip high in game before securing your hand to the gunstock
The second one is most optimal
2nd option has two flaws for me,
1: As ive said before the wait it points up throws of my aim completely
2: My gunstock uses a "Friction fit grip" which makes it really hard to grab something and then put the controller into the grip.
So i guess ill just have to stick with Solution 1.
Sum slight
redmagic 7s pro 🗣️
all yall fancy pants with your quality metal and plastic stocks, back in my day we just used ducttape to tape a controller to a stick and called it a day smh 😮💨
I use a curved bar😭
Maybe best gunstock is possible a Gordon's Crowbar
any ideas of a homemade quest 3 gunstock? had a really good q2 design but it doesnt woek because no rings on the new controllers
Prob
I recently received the ModusR gunstock and tried it with tavor but can't seem to get the calibration right nor does it apply to all weapons without modifications. Any tips to get the best experience from all guns using s gunstock?
Look into an istock, it cheap and you can use it on all the weapons. Until they have gunstock calibrations for every weapon, I don't think full gunstocks are good for thus game
So gunstocks with one controller free infront is the best atm?
There are plenty of options that work with attached controllers. Our official one and a good few others.
Thinking on turning one of my old airsoft m4s into a gunstock for vr
DM me a link
What's your official gunstock? Have a link?
Disregard, lol
Anyone have recommendations on an index knuckle controller stock that works with the grip haptics?
I have a 3d printer
It’s been 2 days why does it still say awaiting revoult payment?!
just got my gunstock yesterday, took a bit of time but i finally got a good position and feel for it
How production looking brother man?
Production is done, assembly should start this coming week.
Oh sweet
how do I fix calibration for gun stock
thinking about buying a magtube but im not sure if its worth especially because of the price tag, what do you guys think of it
just use. Virtual gun stock
absolutely worth it, either that or the mamut apto wasp
not even close to the same stability
I like having the physical reference, helps with point shooting
buy it directly from us it is cheaper https://www.protubevr.com/en/vr-accessories/169-magtube-gunstock.html
Price starts at $139.12 usd with free 3-5 day worldwide shipping
also more customization options
sign up to the newsletter for 10% off
hold up reduced from 106 to 150??
that's an 8 not a 0
Virtual gunstock is really bad for me. I think it must be my fault somehow
Think I am gonna have to bite the bullet and just get a magtube. yeah it is high cost but seems like great quality
It’s worth it. It will last you a long time and work with any game
anyone know a good gunstock that isnt to expensive
“Cheap”/good pick one
cheap
With gunstocks that have static holders for the controller such as https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4272705 how do you actually put the gun "in" the stock from where you place it on your "belt?" Grabbing the gun and then putting it in the stock involves multiple "grip" inputs which just drops the gun...
I assume, one controller stays in the gunstock at all times. and the second controller just needs to find its spot, no extra grabby motions that could get you to drop your in game gun.
So you have to have a controller in the stock at all times, meaning when you loot stuff you have to finagle with the gun stock attached all the time?
That at least how every gunstock for VR has ever looked to me. weather it be magnetic or friction fit.
yeah that kind of stock is not designed for a game like this
I mean if you have a sling and a magnetic attach style stock and can line it up with the position of the main weapon slot on your waste, then grabbing the gun and stock at the same time could be pretty fluid I guess. Just seems finagly to get used to lol.
Yeah I mean that one I linked is not magnetic. Its static. Gonna try printing this instead: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4257873/comments
nifty
I only have a quest 2/3 I really want the index, but have resigned myself to waiting for Valve to release whatever they have coming up next. Do not want to go back to franel lenses.
i have it
its a nice 1 reloading will be a bit tricky at the start but you will get used to it if you buy a bipod with it you can take some accurate shots over a very long distance
def worth it
After a day or two I I'm used to where my magnets are and tbh it takes me the same amount of time if I didn't have a stock on to pick up a gun
.
.
@dry merlin Are you able to share the outer diameter of the Raidr stock tube? Thinking of trying it, but with an aftermarket/3D-printed adjustable buttstock.
does anyone know how to calibrate glistco magni stock?
check pins for a guide on how to use the calibration system
How does one calibrate a gun stock
see above
Wish they would just fix virtual stock so people didnt need to spent $150 🙃. VailVR is a great example
some people dont want a virtual stock
any good gunstocks for quest 3 that are under 80$
idk i just tilt it up and put the stock under my shoulder until sight is alligned
i think attaching a grip to a gun makes it allign normally though
Hello, looking for recommendations for quest 3 stocks I can 3d print. Happy for part print, part metal to assemble. I'm looking for printable so I can adjust and remodel the controller docks to accommodate my AMVR Silicone controller grips, as I don't want to have to remove them and swap etc.
Looks very pretty
Does anyone have pvc gunstock builds?
It's 18mm
Is using a coat hanger useful
Better than V-stock.
How do you do it?
How I recommend you run the offhand(forward hand): https://www.twitch.tv/sweatygeckottv/clip/CulturedRealKangarooAsianGlow-rspWyA7nRZYPsK_2

Feel free to take a look, with my link you will get a 5% discount at checkout https://skolvr.com/discount/fox69
For other info please DM me ,thank you🥰
Fs I'll dm u if i have any questions
Feel free to do that without any problem
Can someone give me some ideas for a nice stock that won’t break my budget ? 75$ or £60
I just wish my gun wouldn’t flail in every direction when I try to aim especially with snipers it’s so bad
Izza glitch homeboy
As I say to Milk, feel free to check my link and take a look ☝🏻
They be trying to fix it?
YUH
Proud of you
mamut apto wasp or magtube, 100%
Hi im new in vr and i try to configure my magtube with ragesaq tutorial but everytime i take my weapon on my gunstock she aim on different angle, do you know why ? so its impossible ton configure it correctly .... im on q3 btw
could you describe what happens?
When I take my gun and aim with it, it never aims at the same place. Once it can be perfect, the other too high, then a little to the left, then to the right
could you record a video?
yes i gonna try
guns will have different orientations for up/down depending on how they are configured, so you need to adjust the front tube and the front cup to fine tune
but left and right is not a feature of gunstock calibration or something you should ever see with a gunstock unless its become misaligned
currently printing this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4257873 but I am gonna modify the magnets because I dont have those types atm.
fixed configuration stocks are not a good idea
how i can send you the clip please ? @royal wagon
post it here
make it a smaller clip
Fs will look into all of these thank you
I have the exact same problem since a few days ago! Apparently deleting save game file helps, I have yet to try it but it kinda sucks for it to happen in the first place
I just deactivated physical gunstock, not ideal but at least it was consistent again
I did it 1 hour ago same problem....
you dont have this bug without physical guntock setting ? btw are you on q3 too ?
Yep, tried with steam link and standalone
I don't think it's a q3 issue
sorry can you turn the lights on? i cant see anything. you could be having quest 3 tracking issues, its a common problem. the way to tell is to hold your aiming at the target
delete savedata folder
I had a similar bug and it was due to cached data in the folder, I deleted it and no problems since. I also dont use in game stock calibration at all. I have no issues at all.
cmon bro just get a protube and thank me later😂
First i have to pay for the wedding
@modest tide yes i already tried but dont work , without physical gunstock option its perfect !
Where can I buy the gunstock at?
Do have to buy both versions of the gunstock together
Yessir, Honestly, in game calibration is only made for people who dont have adjustable gunstocks. Or people that want to get the site unrealisticaly close to their face when they aim lol
or realistically close as it may be
the default gun offsets are pushed really far forwards
eye relief is terrible
Thats makes sense, but you could just move your buttstock in or out to adjust that right?
i would rather have good ergonomics with my stock and fix the games implementation choices with software
Hey everyone, is it worth it for a new player to buy a gunstock, or should i 3d print one, or should i just don't have one ??
Anyone familiar with this Gunstock?
missing multiple points of adjustment that are critical
no controller angle, no height between controller
stocks over the top of controllers are also prone to tracking problems
Mine is fixed but in-game calibration does the angle and height instead
not necessarily
there are still limitations related to having a fixed front hand (angle and height) that the calibrator cant always work around
some stocks are in a shape that is conducive to being fixed that way
For the gunstock do you have to buy both things?
some are not
True it's not as free, but it still does the job good enough for me, especially for the much lower price
you might to try to use a few more words in your question so people can figure out what you are asking
Do you need to buy the split stock and the but stock
From the look of the Etsy page, no. That’s the “Full Kit” version
Oh they have the Mamut Raidr on the page, it’s still not out but I believe that is two separate buys, I am curious about getting that too. Can anyone confirm?
Ah, NOW you finally mentioned something people can give you a response to. No, you do not have to buy the butt stock with the raidr, but it is your choice, some people will want it and some people will not
Is it better to buy them both together?
depends if you want the buttstock or just the linked hands
personally i'm gonna be going buttstock version cause why wouldn't you want a 3rd point of contact?
I’ll probably wait and buy it because it looks lightweight compared to others I’ve seen, is there any others like the Raidr currently on the market?
I’m gonna try to buy them both then
if you mean split-stocks....there's the freedomstock and that's the only one i know of
it's also permanently out of stock and only ships to USA
Like out of stock forever
not like discontinued but every time i've looked it's been out of stock
Ok do you know of any other good ones
The only thing about the Protube is how bulky it looks for me personally. I think I’m going to wait for reviews of the Raidr. I can suck for a few more weeks lol
i made my own stok out of pvc pipe lol
Look at the big brain on Tieguaili 🧠 maybe I can give that a shot x)
it has its problems, not gonna make out llike it's as good as a properly designed thing lol
Football goal or gunstock?
but it's split like the raidr, light, only gets int the way of reloads occasionally lol
Hey better than nothing I bet, plus I can wait for a proper one
but that's cause it's 40mm pipe
you could probably get away with 30mm cause you chop off a couple extra bits to make the controller grips
thinner pipe would be lighter and less in the way when reloading
I'm playing with it. It is fine, specially if you can grab it for 50 dollars. only downside is that it blocks a tracking a bit, but using it with virtual stock option helps a lot to stabilize and I would choose this anytime vs playing with just controllers
this gunstock is quite interesting. Here is Ghost of tabor video of it. It is called Wield OneStock
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZbdVuaJ5PY
Thank you! I’ll check it out! The price is what really caught my eye, but is the tracking noticeably off or is from time to time?
Any good gunstocks recommendations for a quest 2
I use the back half of my protube. Using the front is too much for the amount of looting
You like the front magcup for looting?
i think its easy to detach the front magcup. Once muscle memory sets in, it becomes second nature. good idea though using half. how do you find it
yes, its hard to detach when you first start using it but once you get use to it and tighten it how you like it it feels like nothing and only comes off if you pull your hand off and it doesn’t feel bulky to me at all its carbon fibre and 3d printed plastic lighter than any rifle or pistol over ever shot irl
I’ve been using protube since OG vive but I still don’t love th e front for Gábor. It’s typically good enough with the rear half but I’m thinking about building a forearm rest off the front. Steady my aim a bit on the long range. I think I saw a similar stock on Etsy. Just can’t remember the name.
i wrap the sling around my arm like a ww2 solider😭
what are like benefits from gunstocks bc i was thinking ab buying one but is it worth it?
Stability. Shouldering something real = immersion
would you recommend one tho?
yes
Buyer is selling on Offer Up, haggled down to $75. What do you guys think? It’s a Mamut stock, not sure which one.
It’s for a Quest 3
So I've got an astreus vr gunstock arriving in the next couple days... does anyone in here have any experience with them?
What are some good budget gunstocks that arent 3d printed?
This is the stock o just got like 2 days ago I haven’t been playing better I’ve actually been doing like 10x worse just slow and it doesent help my aim any tips?
build mussle memory on faster pased games
paced*
instead of wasting valuble loot
So like play contractors?
Well I also lose tracking to
A lot like when I hold it up to my face
Whats something good to get starting out gunstock wise.
same question
Colt Python
My opinion is it’s better to get something that works well that you won’t ever need to replace
So get a Magtube
Nice gun stock is it one with that realistic recoil
Yeah it is🤣
How did you know
In contractors the gun feels nice but in ghost of tabor it feels horrible
For what its worth I've found it to be pretty good and the seller is really responsive/helpful. If you scroll up a bit you can find a picture of mine and a small review of it. Works great with the in-game calibration, and I really like how the game plays with a split stock/knuckle straps.
you need a bottom cup stock the ones that attach to the top of controllers fucks up the tracking and overall make you worse in my opinion
Anyone here use the ultistock?
Does contractors have better graphics than Tabor (Quest 3)
Does anyone know if the tabor gunstock they’re making is a one time limited thing or are they gonna sell it for a while?
Is there any vr accessories besides guns stocks for better accuracy and deeper immersion in vr competitive shooters
We aim for it to be a staple in the scene as our other products have been.
Alright, thanks. I’m planning on buying it but I don’t want to right away so I was just making sure it isn’t some limited special edition thing that is only sold for a limited time.
No worries. And nice username!
Are those old socks? 🤣
hwll yeah lucky socks
They got the right amount of crust in them so they stay upright
I only lose tracking when the stock gets in front of my face which is in like ghost of tabor but in contractors it’s some reason fine
My magtube got shipped today🫡🫡
Is your bed next to your oven???
Here's my design if anyone is interested:
https://www.printables.com/model/763288-meta-quest-3-vr-gun-stock-defiant
mine too
yes
Most normal American
i cant even comprehend whatsa goin on here
also is a Ultistock competive and effective until I can afford something liek that WASP thing
I know there are probably like 50+ people that ask this every day but can anyone recommend a gunstock for quest?
whats a good gunstock that isnt 150$
time to time, but honestly it is not bad. Using just controllers is way more worse, so if you can grab it for fifty bucks, I would say it is good purchase
W stock
Anybody know if they plan on making gunstock calibration by weapon instead of by class?
Nope no idea
yes they should do like onward or pavlov where you directly calibrate the weapon you hold. But there's still the problem with attachments, using a grip or a sight changes the way the weapon is hold..
I'm by no means a developer or knowledgeable of it, but could you set a base calibration per model and then upon attaching a grip have the calibration offset vertically for your offhand by a set amount. Wouldn't be a flawless solution but would help compensate.
yeah I think that should work. Or don't change the gun's position but only the virtual hand
any updates on the raidr gunstock?
Is there any cheaper gunstocks like the istock
@copper ore Thanks for your opinion! I just bought it! $57 after shipping and tax, any suggestions you’d make?
in pins
Do you guys think the raidr will be a good gunstock for tabor?
we will see, its an interesting idea
imma just send it tbh
Do it and tell us the shipping date 👀
its q1
yeah i ordered it
I think the last update was end of March? I think they are waiting for the last bit of parts to come in.
Same, hopefully it will be good. Spent 125 on it so.

Is there any cheaper gunstocks like the istock

Wish someone would make a stock for cross eye dominant players. It sucks for us lol
I feared this I just got a gun stock too I can't wait to check it out tho
@royal wagon understood and appreciated. I already knew it stated Q1, was curious as to whether there are any recent updates for when in Q1.
when something more recent emerges it will get posted
MAMUT seems to be updating within chat. Don't see those posted in pins.
@royal wagon But I'll keep checking both, thanks
yes, but its nothing that has changed the delivery estimate so far
I need to get a gunstock somehow
All your guns:
how much would you buy it for?
How much do you want
Or what
Whats a good gunstock that doesnt break the bank
and that doesnt take a month to be delivered
People who buy gun stocks annoy me just make your own one
you came here to post that?
People who buy milk annoy me, just go milk your own cow
We have received almost everything and has started assembly. QC on point so far. Will make a bigger announcement this weekend.
lets go
Let me know when you make anything resembling a protube or mamut apto lol Made 5 of my own before realizing the engineering that went into the good stocks cant be effectively accomplished DIY.
Bro?
how much on a scale of 1-10 would you lot say gunstocks improve ur aim?
10 without a doubt, its night and day
🥶
I been getting mogged by my mates a bit too much on contractors recently
What’s a squid
u cant make an ok gunstock without a 200 quid 3d printer
If you live in US check out BrandonVr on Etsy
too late spent 2 hours making a gunstock
The physical gunstock setting does not work at all. I set it to how it’s perfect and it just goes back to where it was last facing all the way down
Hah! Hell yeah
Anyone else use a Sanlaki gunstock? I stopped using it pretty quickly after getting Tabor but Im thinking about using the bars and controller mounts to fashion a more Tabor friendly stock. Any tips for how to best align them? Is straight or one higher/lower better? And then any recommendations on the coupling magnets to join the two halves.
Thanks!

anyone knows a good cheap gunstock for ghost of tabot that is not to compecated
Honestly, I do pretty good with my magtube, but it's one of the more expensive stocks. With any gunstock transitioning from looting to shooting takes a lot of practice. Once your muscle memory is locked in, you'd be surprised how quickly you can find your hookup points for the stock. As far as how I've got mine set up, i have my support hand slightly higher than my firing hand. And they're distanced out to about the length of pull with the mp5 i find that that does well for most smg's and rifles that the fenix carry.
People who can't afford things annoy me, get a job or a better one :p
I notice that when I used to play Pavlov I was a huge gunstock snob, I wanted it perfect but with looting and using different guns all the time in GoT I don’t seem to care as much. I just move my head around a little more to line up the sights. I think since Pavlov was a lot closer proximity you needed to get that draw perfectly aligned so you could pull up and fire but with GoT you get a lot more time to prepare for a firefight in most cases.
I used to use a Sinlaki and got a good video on calibrating it, but it was a little shaky due to sensors might be blocked. I’m using Brando VR stock now
Shut up poopy mcbuttface
Like my homemade gunstock made it from a old mic stand
Bussin
@dry merlin How secure are the universal controller mounts? It looks like they use a strap for retention. Is that adequate to prevent any potential controller movement and flex when pulling the stock into the shoulder?
Do yall think I should just buy a stock now or wait for the GOT stock?
wait it will be worth it
Since you're pulling towards you and the base is metal and in front of the controller (so you're effectively holding the metal rod with the conteoller attached to it) you shouldnt have any issues
Alr it looks pretty good so I’ll wait
are there any handmade quest 3 gunstock blueprints? this is my old quest 2 stock
Finally finished printing and assembling
Is the gun stock sold by Ghosts of tabor any good ?
Over priced
Not what he was asking :p
Not what I was asking either
I feel like you were making a statement rather then asking anything....Something can be over priced and still be really good
U stupid
Who asked you pancakes
😝
Are there any good budget gunstocks?
What is the point in that. Just some random metal / plastic on one hand?
Anyone got a good budget gunstock and no I don't want that white little plastic gunstock
I caved in and bought the magtube
So you don’t have to use magnets. It’s always connected
But I didn’t see you once use it as a rifle and stick your other controller on the end?
Go to a min 👀
It’s a forearm brace so you don’t stick it anywhere you hold it up with you’re forearm
New to Quest 3 and Tabor, any gun stock recs?
If in the UK check out KobraVR, in the states check out brandoVR on Etsy
Ahhhh that is pretty cool. Is it quite easy to get used too? Iv got the Raidr from ghosts of tabor on order but probably not getting that u til 2026
Aww man 😂, but yeah it took a little to get used to like I had the attachment that’s straight in front, and after the owner showed me how to use the forearm brace I loved it and never went back to the other attachments. The Raidr looks sick I hope it feels good
Assembly has started.
only been 45 days, so on that basis ill get it around Sept
is this for the mamut version because from what i understood, the announcement they made was for America and Canada?
We promised to start shipping in Q1 of 2024 so we are still WAY ahead of schedule.
Mamut makes and assembles all Tabor Raidr stocks
so do you then ship it to their hq?
Correct
So it took them 45 days to begin Assembly. another 45 days will be the end of Q1 , so i cant see it happeneing
so ti finalize this means that you have received the parts and are now starting to assemble them to ship later in Q1?
I will personally do the assembly. I'm co-owner of Geektech that runs MamutVR so I can assure you its not going to be 45 days.
Yes. Last parts arrived yesterday so now we "just" have to assemble all kits and get them out to CWS and onwards to customers.
Fair play mate, not having a go or anything, just trying to be realistic, So YOU are doing alllll the assembly, you are gona be a very busy chappie next few days LOL
We got a small team but Yes. Its going to suck. It'll all be worth it when we see this stuff in the hands of the community though so its a trade-off I can live with.
Cant wait to get mine mate, my old stock is for Q2 not Q3
One day in, and I already have blisters. Gonna be an awesome ride
Y’all gotta setup a Timelapse or document it on camera! 🥳
Defo do a Timelapse of building then. Would be cool to see and boost business potentionally
Great to hear assembly has started, excited for the next update
I just ordered a protube it comes in today what else should I get for it
i just cant do it i cant get it to work that my sight is actually accurate with the gunstock
even with that pinned msg
got a pic of your setup?
like the gunstock or the calibration
start with a pic of your gunstock and a vid of what you see in game
I love this stock
On Quest GoT doesn’t play well with straight stock configs at least when using iron sights and holding the gun up high. Too much controller occlusion. Switch to a bent config or use guns with optics so you can hold them lower.
this is a pretty strange configuration
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoV8TQIEUYo&feature=youtu.be here is a video i made on getting the a gunstock configured optimally for your body
If you are looking to get the most out of your Protube this guide will help you adjust your stock to give you an optimal ergonomic fit in most games. This guide is valid for the Protube or Magtube with the Rift, Rift S, WMR and Vive controllers.
Using this technique I can create a protube setup with Magtube and swap the controller cups between...
just left it like that thought that there is no problem
I use a straight config (modified Mamut APTO with a single straight tube) for the light weight and rigidity but can’t use iron sights on several guns. Worth it for me.
ok, well, with a magtube and the calibration tool you will need to figure out how to make it work
it doesnt look particularly ergonomic, the cheekrest looks way too low
and many guns will not be satisfied with having your controllers be on the same elevation
Hopefully GoT will add the ability to raise and lower the offhand in gunstock calibration. That would add a lot of flexibility.
i kinda changed it to the guys config bit i do still shoot lower than the reticle
could you make a video of your problem?
ah well in the vid you cant see my reticle
Can’t you change it to dominant eye recording?
I’ll look. May be a 3rd party app like Quest Game Optimizer that has that. Ohh… PC idk
oculus mirror can select the eye
for the people that have 3d printers whats a good 3d printer that is like 300$
@novel veldt could you describe the problem? are you aiming down sights correctly but wondering why the bullets arent hiting the target?
If you shoot at close range the bullet will hit a little low because of the height difference between your optic and the barrel of the gun.
thats called height over bore, but theres more to it than just that
in addition to height over bore you have your sight zero distance, which in this game is 50m
Did not know that it was zeroed to 50m, good to know 😊
these two things will determine the difference in your point of impact vs point of aim
idk it just shoots lower guess im too close or smth like that
you are aiming fine its just your point of impact up close?
idk it just drove me crazy
well im standing at the door of the range and shoot and it hits shoots lower
right, im using specific terms because it helps understand the different things happening
your point of impact is lower than the point of aim?
wait im showing u in paint
point of impact meaning where the bullet hits
point of aim being where the reticle is pointing
yeah, that is expected when you are shooting closer than 50m
idk how far i would have to go away for it to shoot were the reticle is
so im driving myself crazy for what i thought was the problem in the first place
