Yes. It is. But a customer of 7 years usually hasn’t looked at other options. And often with good reason. Perhaps Joa would not fit well with protube or they may find protube to be the perfect fit.Either way, they should consider other options first to have a wider world view in order to make an educated decision on what product to buy.

Well, that’s just the problem. I’m more of a free hander guy. So I don’t actually own a stock. Or know what’s good. I just like to make sure that people consider other options before buying a product that they may regret later. I think if you looked at the protube product line. There could be something for you, as there was something for Ragesaq. But who knows. Maybe Bowk is more your thing, or even the upcoming RAIDR, designed by, Scott himself, GoT’s CEO.

If you want to just get used to knowing where to put the controllers on the stock when taking them off, takes less than a day maybe a few hours for most people. Beyond that is up to you and what you want to do with it and how you go about it. There's no set guideline or 'training regime' to do so, its just playing with it and getting used to it

But the same could be said for learning anything new or using anything new, so it isn't some gunstock specific thing

Fully adjustable stock maybe isn't for you then. There's tons of 'fixed' stocks that are on one tube or angle that don't adjust

The major benefit of a fully adjustable stock is that no matter what game or what gun, you can make it line up well without having to rely on the game to provide ways for you to do so (such as gunstock calibration)

We've had different variations of what we now offer as the Starter up since 2017 or 2018. It was actually made with the help of some of the OG Onward esports players, because they wanted something closer to free hand than the MagTube that still offered some stability

For anyone curious, here's a couple video guides we have up for the Starter. One is for changing which hand is stuck to the stock (you could also have the supporting hand be the one that's on the stock, and just remove the trigger hand from it this way if you want)

Our tubes are 18mm outer diameter. If the GOT stock is same tubes as other Mamut it should also be 18mm afaik

Hey jon, i have a magtube and i was wondering if you knew how to fix it being "off" when in vr. What i mean by that is if i was to aim the stock naturally, The game thinks the stock is about 3-4 inches to the left of where it is in real life/comparison to my hands. Follow these for setting up. Sounds like an issue with SteamVR. Try resetting roomscale and see if that fixes it. Or you can get OpenVR Input Emulator to force adjust the offsets back to normal

The MagTube is designed to be able to adjust for any gun in any game. ragesaq's twitch clip works for most guns or can quickly adjust to most guns in GoT

for minor adjustments beyond that I'd look into openvr input emulator to tweak controller angles and offsets outside of the game, and save it as a preset to load when running the game

i do use the calibration because that fixes my ads.(needed to bring the barrel slightly up to make sights line up) but it only lets me adjust one plane

it alows me to go up and down with the gun entirely, and change the tilt vertically but not horizonally.

that doesnt cover in game calibration, if your gun is pointing up that means your rear hand is too low / front hand too high

in game calibration is just a global offset for that weapon class, guns will still have different geometries and need to be held differently

fortunately you have a protube and can pop the center tube up and down easily to adjust for the different gun shapes

yeah i was doing that as well. i read through some of the older messages you had and that helped. only minor issue is the sight isnt perfectly lined up and one of the weapons was slightly canted to the left. but im still able to see red dots and line up shots. wasnt aware the stock couldnt be straight :/

Gunstock alignment doesn’t alter horizontal settings, that means your stock needs to be adjusted so your controllers are slightly more to the outside

I 3D printed my own gun stock which works perfectly fine but I’m having trouble with the reloading, the gun stock gets in the way when I’m reloading any weapon. Is there a certain way I have to reload or is it just my gun stock?

if so the only thing you can do is lower your hand controler tilt ofset. what this will do is when holding the gun with one hand will make it point lower this will most likely give you some room to insert the mag on some guns

If they slide right out it sounds like either you didn't install the adhesive part inside the battery cover correctly, or the adhesive failed which is covered by warranty and would be replaced for free.

I have found a bug with GoT gunstock calibration. When you calibrate (double trigger) a weapon type, it stores data for both hands. When you click clear all calibrations, it only clears the dominant hand data. If you keep physical stock enabled after doing the clear all calibrations, when you two hand a weapon type you previously calibrated, the secondary hand is going to move but not the primary. This can be very annoying. If you have physical gunstock disabled, this bug won't affect you. I suggest calibrating all weapon types when enabling physical gunstock if you might have calibrated them any time in the past. Another workaround is to delete the PlayerSettings.sav file for PCVR (just lose settings).

Vector offset and quat rotation for primary and vector offset for secondary. Doesn't apply until both hands grab it I think. I'm still early in trying to understand how it works. I've read what you've posted and that's helped. I just wasted a lot of time due to this bug so I wanted to put it out there. Maybe I will write something up or make a video down the road. I'm excited with the new gunstock and am trying to get everything just right.

Using my stock I can never get my forehand to be in the underhand position on the handguard for the game to recognize being able to grip. Tried for over an hour. Anyone know?

No matter what I did my forehand seemed a few inches off to the left and in the handshake position rather than the underhand position.

Also after trying to calibrate some weapons it seems my rear arm gets stuck in the position as if I'm still holding the gun, so I can't reach with it. What's that issue?

you dont grab guns in the calibration

put the controllers in your stock, grab your gun you want to make changes for, ADS with it, observe the position you would like the gun to get adjusted to improve

phase 2: go into gun calibration, select that class, put your controllers in the stock, move the gun in that direction, save it, check the original gun again

want it better? go back to phase 1

since you cant actually grab the gun during calibration, which is when the position of your front hand would influence the orientation of the controller, you have to mess with it a bit

if your gun is excessively horizontally off with 1 hand to the point your front hand cant grab it, thats a problem with your gunstocks horizontal alignment

either the angle the controllers are pitched, or how far "in" your controllers are positioned

You can’t feel the tube position, and if it’s under the controllers you can snap it to the cups by just bringing your controller to your waist

its all about muscle memory with a gunstock. after some hours (or sometimes days for some people) using a stock and interacting with the world around you become second nature... like driving. you just have to bare with the learning curve of using a stock. dropping the ProTube (once you're used to using it) to interact with backpack or anything else becomes a thing you dont even realise you have got the hang of (second nature)

personally i use a twist motion to detach my MagCups. others use different methods like pulling. this also is something you would pick up quickly to what ever works for you best
