I've got enough highlight reels from there.
It's an enjoyable game, but I'm sick of it.
Netcode makes me salty too quickly now.
I tried the alt grip, something felt off so wasn't a fan and went back to magnet
well you just saved me money then.
Yeah, but to be honest I haven't utilized the stock much. Which blows because of the cost
But I really bought it for this game hahaha
the cost got better I think, it used to be more expensive when I bought it
that being said it's great for Zero Caliber
But when running around in onwards range it felt better without the alt grip. I thought it would be better in alt grip form but it was weird. I can't remember why but yeah.
it handles and feels like a real rifle, I know all the muscle memory I had from my time in the infantry allowed me to just get into it like I never left, reloads included
Fact, and that's my issue. I was 11b for 6 years and operated as a sniper
I'm not a fan of the bottom supported stocks
yep, I threw away my Protube for that reason, shit couldn't handle adjustments either, they kept losing adjustment
Y'all looked at the bowk invert marksman then?
especially that fucking buttstock thing it has
Hence why I didn't get the quest 2 cups for my protube
Ditto. Top mount can be an issue as well. Happy to give a trial deal for anyone interested. Dm me if so
Lmao yes exactly
they sent me the new index cups for free but I trashed it long ago
I'm 270 lb and a weightlifter, that protube couldn't handle all this power lmao
Maybe? I'd have to see it again. I looked at a lot of stocks
You should do a video with you using your stock in game, and showing the gameplay too.
I would say, @hollow zinc any chance of adding a bipod later?
I could figure something out
For live gameplay Astreus Live Streams all the time but he doesn't use any of the off hand attachments
My wife had me throw it away, total minimalist. But she was right, I never used it anymore
I dropped a few raw videos earlier with me using it but can get some more later
Yeah it's been since the q2 has been out for me. Just sits in the corner
I had one for the Samsung Odyssey, when Protube was just getting started
Best I can do from the Dominican this week https://photos.app.goo.gl/H6oqALRBHBbnfTHN9
I don't really play got at the moment but @drifting terrace suggest I come post here
I'm out of country on shaky net.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to Google image it.
Form factor, same lop as an M4, but rapid vertical adjust on butt and comb.
Headset down, it's got what you like about the vrs, but for less money and you can adjust it.
I can make some demo videos but I'm no good at the game haha
Google image? That's a Google photos link fwiw
Talking to dom about a different thing, sorry mate.
As for this comment, what I might love most about my stock is I can line it up perfectly with mk18 and m4 as well as any other gun. Like if I could screenshot the view when I peek through the nose hole while holding those weapons it's a literal 1:1
Im over selling. Just need more video. Thanks again for the Convo guys. In the end it's all about what works for you. Hoping SpaceC has a good experience for sure
Appreciate your enthusiasm for your product, does you credit
I'll check the one you said lightwolf, and appreciate you working on another option and showing us brandon
Ahhh, nicce
On another topic, I definitely need to meet up with someone here to show me how this game works
Last time I played, I tried to grab a gun after killing an npc, it got stuck in the ground in some bug but a pair of real players were coming for me and it was all I had. I died.
Then I tried to make some ammo and dumped my rounds into a mag loader, they all spilled. I spent 20 minutes trying to pick them back up and then the game crashed haha
Sounds like all of our first experiences. 😛
Game can be a buggy mess.
I'll be back in town in about a week.
Ditto. I'll ping and join for a few rounds. Sounds like fun
@hollow zinc I work nights in the oilfield so I'm only ever playing at night when everyone is asleep
Not a problem. We'll find a time
You definitely learn to embrace and love the jank 😂
All I got is a istock..
I posted a lot about it so scroll up a bit
Dm me for questions
Gaw damn 60 bucks 😭
you know what game VRS is great for though, Tactical Assault VR, have you played it?
I'm just tryna figure out why this agat moves all the way back down when they said I can move it up abit to make the stock shorter
60 bucks is cheap for a good stock
I'm here looking at 400 dollar ones two days ago lol
but then again that's the difference between someone who buys an index or pimax vs a quest
and in the process brings down every good VR game like Onward, but that's another topic
I liked onward when it first came out and for a bit after.
Not as much now. I stopped playing awhile back when I felt the tactics went out the window and people just started playing it like cod.
Still feels tactical I been playing it alot
I have played it, I grabbed it up right after it first came out. I picked up the VRS shortly after that and the calibration in that was Jank too. So it's been a bit lol.
They've ironed out the bugs on that
also recommend you switch to PCVR, totally worth it
I play mostly PCVR, just stream to q2
I'll have to check it back out
I have it natively on the q2 too, but even in the beginning could see some of the differences. Esp with tabor lmao.
I've gone index and never going back, it's crazy when you can go prone and not lose tracking
Wana squad up in tabor?
What in the walking stick is this?
bigscreen beyond soooooon
I got a GPU if anyone wants to trade for it
Guys I gota gunstock but when I hold the gun with my controllers in my gunstock my gun just points down
also why doesnt my game have a calibrate gunstock option
Make sure ur in ur bunker
Ik that was an issue last wipe idk if changed
Also don’t use gunstock cal it sucks ASS
wym
it works perfect for me
heres my gunstock ik it doesnt look the best but it works, only problem I have is when I pull my hands out of the gunstock I have to set it down on my bed
then it takes me a few good seconds to get the controllers back in to place, anyone have any ideas of what to do?
It seems to be consensus that index users have a lot better luck than quest
I haven’t heard a single quest user that has gotten it to work efficiently without having to spend multiple hours fixing it
im using vive but same thing
rip, atleast quest has so many gunstock options
If what you were referring to was with one hand, then adjust your hand pitch, offset setting, under advanced settings that will change the tilt of your one hand
yeah i got it
I just dont know what to do with my mobility issue, it makes it a lot harder to use a gunstock
How would I use a sling on this
Should i get the spine vr stock
check the pin on my procedure for gunstock calibration, i would imagine being a native openvr device like the index the vive should be usable
i got it
i just need a sling
I have it and it works well enough just not with tabor bc of the calibration issues
wym calibration issue
The calibration in tabor is broken
It doesn’t work
It’s garbage
It points it at the ski
Sky
are they gonna fix it?
Meh it still doesn’t always work on other platforms
It’s over pretty unreliable as of now
works fine for index and vive users 👍
oculus quest has known issues for tracking issues
the issues with gunstock calibration are different than that
non openvr native platforms seem to have weird outcomes after a calibration
bizzare angles after gripping with both hands
well im pcvr not native so
including pcvr oculus
i didnt say anything remotely close to that
i mean, you dont need a gunstock calibration to use a gunstock
that is true
if you have a non adjustable gunstock you are going to run into the limitations of said gunstock rather quickly
probably
might just get the freedom vr stock
sad they dont got a return policy though
You wont want to return the freedom vr stock. It is the best gunstock i ever bought.
true ig but i might not like it but idk untill i buy iy
@thorny glade i highly doubt that
i jus need a lil bit more money
i have heard nothing but good things about the freedom stock.
I was skeptical too but it really is my favorite gun stock. My only regret is not buying it sooner.
@faint wigeon has made an incredible product and if you just look at user reviews almost all of them say its so worth it.
hes running a sale?
yea 10 dollars off
id jump on that
I would honestly jump on that, i’m very careful with mine but seriously considering buying another just in case my clumsy ass breaks this one lmfao
is it not durable or sum
It is very durable, i’m just an idiot and break things all the time lol
ight
Also I let my little cousins use my VR when they come over and don’t trust them fully lol
any stock will break if you hit it on a wall hard enough. unless like carbon fiber or metal. but ofc those will up the prices HUGELY
i tell all of my customers this. if you are hitting walls while playing without a vr gunstock DONT USE ONE. there is a min ammount of space needed for even without one
what do you think is the minimum space you need
idk about exact space but i would say if you are constantly hitting things when playing i would be careful
well thats good cuz i dont really hit anything
then you should be fine
I can attest to the quality of @hollow zinc stock, I've used it for 7-8 months now and watched as he evolved it to be better and better. I've had several versions of his stock, and they all have been easier to use then any 2 handed gun stock option. There are definitely alot of options and pieces to play with and adjust to give you the perfect fit
Here's some pics of a few of his stocks I owned
that seems very complicated
Haha, well some of these pics are from he only had the level one attachments
It might seem so, but it's not. It becomes second nature after a while, and if you don't like all the twisting and turning you can keep everything nice and straight. It helps me alot with stabilty, and still being quick to do other stuff like throw nades or pull out a melee weapon since that other hand is free at all times
Yup, the 2nd and 3rd pics are some of the legacy stocks
ah alr
I was teasing about the cloth wrap but yes he was using the GS6 which is the predecessor to what I offer now. Still very popular, I might bring it back but same overall concept
It's basically a skeleton of a gun so your controllers don't smash into it as you try to interact with the virtual gun in game. Allows you to handle equipment and transition between weapons without ever having to deal with clips or magnets
Works great. Thanks @wispy hill for kicking so much tail with it in so many games hahaha
Lol
My new gunstock in my opinion it id the best gunstock not the bedrock GOT but is usable
Is*
Anyone consider using an airsoft gun for a gunstock?
A lot of bulk for no benefit
Low attachment options and flexibility for the needs of a video game
It’s better to have a solution designed to meet the specific needs of the application
The problems would be the same as a nerf gun where and how are you attaching the controllers
I have a 3D printer I can figure something out
It’s largely a detrimental experience
The nerf gunstock the way I figured something out was holding it upside down having the pinky finger in the barrel and trigger guard as in the picture
Good luck
does any know any cheep gunstocks for beginers
Has any one gotten gunstock calibration to work ?
I built a gunstock Out of pvc I can't get calibration to work with it.
🗣️🗣️🗣️
You on quest?
Yes
Remember how your tracking works. If you have the bulk of a nerf gun in between you and the stock, you're going to unpredictably lose tracking.
Since you've got a 3d printer, use it. Spend 5$ getting delrin rods from your local hardware store and make one. STLs available from bowk, thing verse, and a bunch of other places.
Just my .02$
Once you've used it for awhile, we look forward to a review
I do not have a 3d printer
@icy cobalt Yea for sure. I gotta get a squad and start practicing. I've become trash in my downtime
I tested the gunstock and works barely
@icy cobalt but this stock is AMAZING for shooters. I absolutely love it.
Im just now posting but I got it yesterday
Only index users, from what I hear
Give me a city. You have a 3d printer, you just didn't know about it. Have you heard of maker's spaces before?
Pasta ... 6?
Thanks
Should I get the, spine, freedom, or magni stock?
Hmm
!wipe
Is live, go go go!
I made one from carton and duct tape. It is modular, and cost me nothing 🙂
We need individual guns to be claibrated anyone else agree?
What?
Probably not as if you calibrate rifles it’ll calibrate for all of them
I know that's the idea.
I'd rather be able to fine tune individual guns or at least have it as an option. MOST work fine but guns such as the BAR or some SMG's just don't.
Like not have it be default but at least an option.
Anyone can recommend me a cheap gunstock?
@remote tiger has a great option for a great price!
Oh nice
Thanks @faint wigeon yes @dire patrol I sell my stock for 34.96!
USD?
Yep!
Yep sent to ur dm!
Any one know a cheap gunstock that’s good
Ok what is the web site
@remote tiger send @unreal sleet a DM please lol
Gotchu covered! Ty!
The best gun stock in my opinion is the I stock
anyone here using a Rift S with gunstock? if so. do you have controller drift problems too?
I dont know if Rift S has a deadzone calibration option like Quest 2 does, however if not in Tabors settings, you can increase the dead zone for movement which should help combat your stick drift.
its not stick drift. the entire controller (the hand) starts to float away a bit
i have to wiggle the controller to get it back. its like its truning itself off when its not moving
Okay so that would be completely different, maby check #1083899890427502674 and see if thats a broad issue others have been having.
allright i check there
if i search rift s and gunstock nothing can be found 😄
btw this is a problem in every gasme sofar. i think its the rift s itself and its controllers
thought that maybe someone here has a solution to it
Gotchya, yah if its happening in all games then its your controller. You'll want to look up stick drift solutions online (ive heard contact lens solution helps).
allright i try that 🙂 ty
Isopropyl alcohol
Or something with a high percentage of alcohol
I've used hand disinfectant, cologne, isopropyl alcohol etc just let it dry after you put some in the controller
for whatever reason it wasnt drifting for me now.
so i did the calibration and found something.
for assualt rifles it worked but not for the AKM
m4, aku and all others work perfectly. the AKM aims in the air still.
It's about 160 grams or so.
Maybe 170 grams with it.
Probably lighter than that actually. The PSVR2 version in the bravo size with the forearm brace is only 187 and that is substantially heavier than the quest versions. So probably about 150 grams for quest 2 alpha
ye i cant use the akm wih gunstock. it aims in the air still. M4 the small AK and other assault rifles work great. only AKM is aiming higher
Correct, the rift s, quest and quest 2 have similar tracking limitations that can produce this kind of behavior depending upon how you hold it
and what about the AKM? 😄 since i was able to use the gunstock i found that issue 😄 the AKM aims more in the air. M4, other AK variants work fine
that was after i calibrated assault rifles
Did you quit all the way out and go back in?
Look in the pins in this channel for my procedure
yes
the calibration worked for the M4 and other ak variants but the AKM aims in the air a bit still
Anytime you change hand offset or gunstock calibration settings you need to quit all the way out for it to be consistent
i did that 🙂
Well the AKM has a different geometry than the m4 so it won’t point in the same direction
Which way does it point when you have gunstock calibration turned off
When hand tracking gets better and they perfect it they'll be no need for gun stocks. You can just hold almost anything or something gun like because they'll be no need for controllers anymore
There will still need to be a controller
Well not need, but you will definitely want a controller
Buttons with reliable discrete inputs
Sure, but as far as actually gripping a gun, it seems to be where gun stocks fail most of the time
I would like to see some kind of glove controller come out. I think they're in their infancy stage right now
You’ll get to experience hand tracking as controller tracking with the quest 3 and see how oculus continues to lower the tracking fidelity bar 🙂
That's one of my concerns is I ordered a low pro gun stock but it's made for Oculus 2 and the Oculus 3 controllers have no rings to attach the magnet to
after calibration still slightly up
Ok, sounds like it’s working correctly then
If a gun was pointing up before you made any calibration changes, and you did not make changes to make it point down, it will continue to point up
It doesn’t change the behavior of individual guns, just all guns in that class. The offsets apply to all guns equally
What's the question? It's the general thoughts on the spine that you asked about.
Pasta 8
anyone know where I can get a decently cheap Vive Headset gunstock?
So is there a way to calibrate offset for second hand on oculus2 . Any time I grab gun with stock I printet it aims a bit up . Hand need to be a bit down as I can see .
Pasta 9
Read through and tell me how much effort you're willing to put in or what your budget is.
whats pasta 9 mean
nvm
Just my count of how many times I've pasted in the last 2 days
Effort, I can put in a lot. Budget I would like to go under $100
whyd you ping me here when i typed it here
click it
ohh
In a gunstock the most necessary thing is mobility imo, I want to be able to pick up loot then quickly get back in my gunstock
i feel like freedom stock vr has the most mobility
yeah but thats a quest stock
I have a Vive
freedom stock doesnt work for vive?
I dont think so, Vive controllers are a bit special. In the bad way.
A protube for vive sounds nice but is pricy
Are we talking "I want the best I can possibly do for 100$", or "I'll spend 100 if I have to"?
kinda both
protubve?
idk, Im just 14 so making money can be tricky.
one of these
oh
130 euros so like 140 - 150 usd
I basically just do chores, I live on a farm. I do anything my parents need done
ohh
yeah thats what makes it lightweight
I made my own gunstock but the mobility SUCKS
the gunstocks with haptic feedback are $300+
@sour fossil do you know if they make a diy kit?
why would you want that
As in recoil or what
I dont personally
Yes it adds the feeling of a little kickback when firing
wouldnt that interfere with the game
They have a section of spare parts where you could maybe put something together, their discord has some ideas too: https://www.protubevr.com/en/63-product
yeah probably
The recoil interferes a touch with full auto fire but nothing unmanageable
ah alr
only thing is I lack creativity
Lol me too
ngl 300 bucks for that is kinda eh better off getting something else tbh
So lowest cost/best I know of for you would be a DIY bowk marksman. Irish is your magtube guy.
where can i find a bowk
Their discord has a channel with some crazy builds, multiple haptics on one stock etc
thank you
50 cal barrett would go CRAZY
He's got STL files and a diy kit you can get.
A trip to the local hardware store, some delrin rods, and you're in business.
I'd go for a bowk marksman.
I'm on a phone in a foreign country or I'd help with trying to piece you a magtube setup
what is a stl file, is that for 3d printers?
I think right now only the Forcetube module works with Ghosts, not the pistol one yet
3d printers are crazy expensive
It is. You don't need one if you buy the DIY kit, but it is cheaper to have one.
Considering your age, we could find a maker's space (full machine shop with 3d printers, usually they cost like 30 to access), but then you'd have to go with parents and it gets more difficult.
For that I hired Mike Tyson to punch me in the shoulder when I fire it. Luckily I haven't found a Barret yet this wipe
To be clear, I believe all you need for the diy kit is a drill, screwdriver, and the rods.
yeah should be easy I think I have all of that, my dad loves to work with his hands so that will be easy
would u say protube vr are good gunstocks?
@sour fossil your court. :p
ye they are pricy 😄
but good that i bought a good one back in the day 😄
need to figure out how to place my controllers for optimal comfort but also so that they are not behind each other so my headset can track both
what are some games that makes good use of a gun stock
With a decent stock, any fps.
some games dont support gun stocks
That’s why you want to get an adjustable stock 🙂
Games don’t need to support stocks, but stocks definitely need to support games
finna get the freedom stock vr fr
a good ingame calibration helps though 😄
i kinda dont understand the calibration in GOT cause my left hand blocks the iron sight. so i cant rly see if its good or not 😄 it says i have to put both controlers into the gunstock 😄
I’ve got some good video guides on how you should approach protube gunstock sizing and what I’ve found is the best approach for GOT
can you send me those vids? 😄
It does, but even then height over bore for optics and irons is always different. You absolutely need adjustability or you'll have to play with only one setup
Go type !Magtube on my twitch channel
twitch name the same as here?
Yes
That was the last sizing I did until index came out, different controller angles
CV1, vive, quest all used some gunstock config because the cups were designed with the proper offset in mind
You could literally put the Magtube cups on any of those controllers and your gun alignment would be the same
Index controller is shaped quite differently so I had to change it
so do i understand your video correct. better have the gun above the stock and hold the stock a bit lower?
cause your gun in the video floats on top of the controllers
Then I had to change calibration again for GOT, not too much
You want to hold the stock the same way every time
the callibration in GOT is terrible
The calibration tool is buggy and the guns trigger alignment is a little off
do you need to callibrate if you get the freedom vr stock?
i now saw the twtich clip for GOT. so you have the front angle adjustable mid game? 😄 i kinda tend to accidently angle it mid game 😄
If I need to
I usually don’t because I stick to rifles with foregrips
And they are all roughly the same geometry, really minor front cup adjustments to fine tune are the most that’s needed
I did a gunstock calibration in game to bring it back closer for better eye relief on the scopes
its so complicated 😄
Your goal with a physical or virtual calibration is to get a good length of pull for your arm angle, and to bring the gun to the point where when you get a tight cheek weld posture you are naturally looking straight down the sights
Then wherever you look is where you hit
Or at least where you aim, you still have to account for ballistics and angle over bore and such
The game takes care of zeroing automatically, no matter how you stack or alter the optics it points to the right place, clever bit of code that is
should you calibrate or not
does anybody have any 3d printed gun stocks and if so what woud be the best filiment to use
in ghosts of tabor the calibration is a hit or miss, for quests users it seems to be a little broken but its mostly just adjusting your calibration to your liking
if 3d printers can use carbon fiber thats what I would use
ah alr i just dont wanna fuck uo anything since the gun stockim getting has no return policy
freedom has good stocks you should be fine once ghosts of tabor gets the calibration all sorted out
thats the one im getting\
will it still work if i dont calibrate it?
I know I was just letting you know my opinion
I think you can still make it work but i believe the calibration is necessary
alr ill just wait to get it and hopefully they fix it
carbon fiber is expensive, but is sturdy and lightweight
I would still get it the calibration is mostly fine. Some players say its off
I used it and it seemed completely fine to me I was hitting all my headshots
I dont need a gunstock im good with the virtual one but I want to try one
ah alr
I feel like some players say its off because they might be adjusting their offsets wrong
what is a good offset?
its specific to everyone, its not a number value. You can move the gun up and down and closer or farther
ah alr
personal preference
i just bought jsut now bought the stock
Which?
freedom stock vr
@faint wigeon time for you to celebrate
It has "freedom" in the name so its prob in america it will prob be normal shipping times
lmao
Celebrate what
Cheesy makes the freedom stock. Freedom stock order happens, cheesy celebrates. We're all happy because we like seeing passion projects succeed.
It's not my kind of stock, but I 100% believe it's allot of people's stock. Plus it's genuine innovation. The market needs that.
@thorny glade i wana say that if in the usa cheezys shipping is really fast he offers free priority shipping unless he changed something
idk if it was free
Yep it was
it is free
Its maybe come to u in 3 or 6 days if for me on brasil to usa priority shipping takes 10 days
Any stock sellers in here based within UK?
possibly i stock? not 100% sure
after it was shipped to ups, it takes 2-3 days to delivert
thats not bad at all
Closest I've got for you is commonwealth
I ain’t paying all that
How do you reload
Front one come out really easy
Oh makes sense
Back ones a lot tighter
That’s what she said
I want to buy one but idk witch one to buy
@flint epoch hey man I sell one for 34.96 @faint wigeon has a good one as well for 85$
If interested send me a dm!
Check out Kobra VR. He's UK based
Whats the best gunstock for Index?
lmfao
Witch one in your unbiased opinion is better
I make mine out of Esun Pla Plus. And I think iStock and KobraVR use the same stuff
I make a version for index fwiw
If you are willing to pay a higher price Prob the freedom stock @flint epoch. I’m catering to a different market than he is.
love my protube
If I have a couple hundred rn should I buy the freedom stock?
If u are willing to spend I would def say go for it. I have heard nothing but good things from his customers
regular stocks like protube make looting slower
I prefer a cheek weld. And not to need to find the gunstock blind while I'm in VR.
freedom stock seemed designed for this game
Kobra VR, iStock or my product work really well for looter shooters
Yea it’s really good for looter shooters
cheek weld doesnt work for all guns in this game, so i only use it for a buttpad
I agree with @normal grove I have heard from many people that it gets in the way
Versatility is important
it can for some guns yes
I have never once needed a cheek rest. Espically in a looter shooter where you are always moving or doing something. If you camp on a hill a lot then maybe it’s worth it
It says the freedom stock is sold out
Let me talk with cheezy
im ads 80% of the time on silo
protube helps do this, but its heavy compared to freedom which leads to fatigue
Fair. I personally haven’t ever had a moment where I was like hmm I really wish I had something to rest my cheek. Not saying it def don’t have a use I just personally have never thought it would add to my experience
yeah cheekpads are mostly used as a 3rd point of contact rather than a resting point for ur head
Fair
so smaller = better
@flint epoch just talked to him. He just restocked check again
Folks who are used to actual guns want cheekwelds
Oh yup it’s in stock now
Perfect!
@hollow zinc possibly. I’ve never had anyone ask ab it but it’s good to have options for users some stocks have it don’t
@hollow zinc how much do u sell urs for
Depends on configuration
Gotcha
I just bought the freedom stock
@flint epoch nice man! Enjoy. I have talked with cheezy and still do and I have never seen anything like the product he has. It would work good for other shooters but I think it really shines in tabor
I only really play shooters and have been looking for a gun stock for like two years now
I’m glad I finally bought one
It’s like night and day with and without a stock
where are soem good cads for 3d printed gunstocks?
They have plenty on thingiverse!
and i just search vr gunstock?
rift S controllers
Then replace quest with rift s
Your one the who’s selling them right?
ok sick, so i see a bunch that have 2 slots, how does having both controllers restricted affect like looting gameplay, or how does that work?
For the most part they are not restricted. They slide in and out
Cheezy is very in tune with the memes as you can see
Those are amazing memes
ohh ok so the back one sticks in and the front one just goes in and out as needed
Yep! Ima send you a dm @old horizon
ok cool
pretty sure it is
I bought this one about a year ago and still use it.
Would y'all say that switching to kobravr, freedom stock, or iStock is a huge difference maker? I do well with my stock but it's somewhat slow with reloads and looting. It's heavy too.
Kobravr seems a bit intricate, iStock doesn't have a fixed forward holder so it's just reliant on string tension it seems, and freedomvr is a little expensive and sold out.
What is the best calibration settings for the magni stock pro
In my opinion don’t bother with gunstock cal rn it sucks ass. @charred flume I wouldn’t go with I stock I have heard it had trackin issues and has cracked pretty easily. Freedom is a good choice. If ur looking for a more cost effective option I’m rolling out my v3.0.1 in a few days I’ll send the info to ur dm if interested. 34.96
We are in the UK 👍

There is no best gunstock. As with everything, there's compromises in design that make a stock better or worse at certain tasks.
Some examples of things to consider are:
Ease of use (how much practice it takes to reliably engage the stock)
Speed of engagement (when everything goes perfectly, how quickly can you snap in)
Stiffness
Cheek weld
Adjustability
Durability
Snag points
You need to decide what you want from a gunstock. Then look at the #1123529753274634251 message for a stock that matches you.
All that said, here's 4 common ones and what people like about them.
Bowk: light, stiff, and durable with good, quick vertical adjustment.
Magtube: good magnetic system matched with good stiffness.
Freedom stock: extremely high ease of use and speed of engagement
@remote tiger : a good, usable stock for quest 2 at a third the price of anything else on the market.
Currently there is only one stock I do not recommend, and that is the mamut apto. If you have questions on that we can talk.
There's also DIY stock making. You can choose between fast, good, easy, and cheap. How much work you put in decides how many of those you can have.
Thanks for repping the diy stock still! I recommend you try removing the offhand stuff and try to use it like Gecko does his MaestroVR stock (but with your stock) https://www.twitch.tv/sweatygeckottv/clip/CulturedRealKangarooAsianGlow-rspWyA7nRZYPsK_2
That said, my preference is the bowk invert marksman on index
thats sweet
There's two points where having a good cheek weld matters that I can think of off the top of my head.
1: adds stability behind magnified optics for better view and long range shots
2: added 4th point of contact for another reference point for snap shots, makes you generally more accurate in the vertical plane.
But to @normal grove s point, if you have one, you absolutely need good, quick vertical adjustment because of how much the right comb height relies on optic and weapon.
Glad to hear it man! What model did you get?
Oculus mb for late reply
Ohh okay
Seems that's the way some of the market is moving.
Yeah... contractors/pavlov = static gun setups
New emerging titles like Tabor/Breachers require more lightweight/modular setups.
The DIY build vid I promote is simple enough to test the waters with. Most of the players in Tabor are sub 18 years of age it seems.
I'm hoping that I'll have the available income to trial a few after this contract ends.
I'm bias towards thinking they won't work for my use case, since they go against every classical pillar of long range marksmanship
What do you guys think is the best cheap good gunstock for quest 2

@faint wigeon hey man, are you going to be in stock any time soon?

Look at this homemade with sling
Is that sling made out of electrical tape also? haha, very resourceful
https://youtu.be/R_HaTVXgz8o i built this and put a sling out of electrical tape
DonZzzilla's iteration upon the original Poor Man's Gripstock.
Credit to whezzingstar5#3960 for the original design idea on the Ghosts of Tabor Discord in the #gunstock-chat
Credit to themoxxielikeperson for the idea to include a buttstock (3.5 point of contact) - can also work as a 4th point if you really work it to your face.
Link to the off...
It’s actually really good
The cool thing with having the stock be connected to just one hand is that you have that flexibility by varying the angle you hold your right hand and where you put the butt portion on your shoulder. Same with your off hand, you just move and grab the gun in the virtual space needed and the brace is there to hold you in that position without any need for mechanical adjustment. As long as each gun aligns along the same plane in reference to your main controller it works extremely well. https://www.etsy.com/shop/VirtualArmory
p90 is completeley busted with gunstock cal
I'm inherently a little skeptical of the concept because it's opposite what I know and have been taught, but I'm willing to give it an honest shot
I got the freedom stock
Or any other one handed stock design?
Whats the best gun stock for ghost of tabor?
These ones go hard https://www.3dgear.eu/collections/vr-gun-stocks
Practical? No
Stylish? For sure
I mean the best one for aimming. I don't care how it looks. I just can't aim with my shaky hands
and works with pico 4
Lots of interesting modular stocks, i've been using the protube/magtube for the longest time but some of these designs have me thinking
Ive been looking at the MagTube gunstock
magtube is the go to
I guess ill buy that one 🙂
It's static, solid for most games
i've had some minor issues with it in this game and some of the br games though
Do you use a gunstock? Are you having trouble calibrating since the wipe? Share more details to work towards resolving this bug here: https://discord.com/channels/949081704625209404/1132361839410425926
GOT has some rather interesting gun geometry, i had to change my calibration a little bit but since then its been solid
It's at its best when you can use the same phys calibration for all guns or only use one or two specific ones, it kinda struggles with verticality and left/right adjustments
magtube vr also supports the pico 4 🙂
I posted another similar. phys calibration does not work when you have another gun on your chest
That’s not what that thread is about but thanks
also may break grip button after initial calibration, and after the first match start you have to reset it
Do gunstocks help you aim better?
If it's adjusted right, yes
it can also mess you up if it's not on point or just slow you down if you're unhooking a lot depending on stock
Is there a video to help me understand how to get it right?
No because the feature is currently fucked in GOT
A bunch of people have videos on youtube but I dont really recommend it, you have to find what is most comfortable for you, and even then there's a couple good ways to go about it
the feature actually works, but it needs front hand adjustments, i messed with it some more and figured out the problem everyone is having
@royal wagon I wouldn’t call it “working” it messes highly with other settings. Hand tilt etc. for it to be working I would say it needs to do the one hand reliablly
I can just use driver 4 vr for that probably
Give me 3 days to learn the basics of vr gamedev and I could fix the calibration
@pure crown for many users it messes with hand pitch offset
yes, that part is buggy, but once you have it all set you quit and reload and you are reliable
Honestly such shit that it’s still busted
Agreed
I love stocks but something about the angle just isn't quite comfortable yet
ignoring the bugs that'll just kill the calibration
Imagine eating a cake and then the baker walks up and just scrapes all the icing off
Would you still want to eat the cake
Would it still be as good
That’s how it feels to have a broken ass physical gunstock feature in a hardcore vr extraction shooter
the gunstock calibration right now only affects the rear hand position, you still need to properly account for your front hands position
Yo @remote tiger are your stocks better than MAGTUBE?
ah, that'll do it
the angle is just a static 'hand pitch rotation offset' per class of guns
Yeah, that's a little trippy, makes sense though
This has no impact on guns of the same category having different aim angles
correct
i'll just stick to freehanding in this game until it's figured out
i mean, magtubes have worked fine since over a year ago
Idk ab better but I will say it’s MUCHHHH cheaper. I offer a quality stock that functions as intended without all the bells and whikstles for those who don’t want to spend a fortune I sell mine for 34.96 @pure crown
Whistles
The greatest advantage I get from magtube is very consistent snaps to ads. If the pitch angle changes depending on weapon and grip I dont see much point
Thank you for making cheaper gunstocks for people that can't afford higher end ones
I want the haptic feedback gunstock
i use gunstock calibration to tune the category height and better align the eye relief
thats what the middle joint is for
snap it up/down one notch to get the position adjusted
I'm not adjusting it per weapon, and we both know that joint isn't exactly a precise
Mine just does nothing lol. I can calibrate it to any position and when I apply it, the gun reverts back to an identical position
its indexed, its extremely precise
I’ve even tried calibrating it to point to the sky and no change whatsoever lmao
delete your savegame file
@pure crown ofc!!!
Semantics, it's precise the same way a ruler with only inches demarked, but nothing in between, is
I would have ordered one of yours but I sold my quest 2 months ago
Not the level of accuracy I would want
Will try this next time I play, cba for the next few days cause my fav Rust server is wiping
Ahhhh no worries man what did u end up getting instead @pure crown
sure, but you dont need an increased accuracy beyond what the magtube index positions offer, i only ever need two positions to handle all of the guns in the game, including grip attachment status
pico 4. It's not as great as people say. Theres a controller offset on steamvr that makes aimming impossible, The devs are adding a fix for it after 8 months
game has been out 4 months
It's a headset issue on steamvr. Not game based
openvr input emulator could fix this
I know but there is a setting in the game that counteracts it
the difference is enough that I dont see any real advantage other than immersion. It's not helping me with accuracy or muscle memory at that point
I prefer to do the exact same motion over and over, otherwise i'll take the speed of freehanding
I tried that, It didn't do it for me. So im just waiting for them to send the patch at this point
i think you did it wrong
what part did you get stuck at?
What headset you on rage?
index, but i know what your problem is and how to fix it
Ill try it again
Is it this one ? https://github.com/matzman666/OpenVR-InputEmulator/releases
patch?
matzman666 stopped updating OVRIE like 5 years ago when he went to work on vr stuff full time
steamvr updated some dlls and ovrie stopped working
Isn't this the same as driver4vr?
no
im not sure why you are looking at driver4vr, last i saw they just made a kinect tracking -> hand tracking interface
@pure crown I have 2 people who have a similar issue
ah. theyh've added some features. that might be an option as well
Waht does the i stock gunstock look like can someone do me the pic of what it looks like?
did you try google
Me?
@snow drift I have heard some issues with the istock. I think it sits too close to the headset and cusses tracking issues
Just buy @remote tiger stock its moooore cheap than i stock and better
i recommend the kobra vr sidewinder
it folds and the front controller is easily detachable so you can grab loot easy
Homade 🤷🏻♂️
It’s actually really easy u can js use pvc
Struggling with aim - especially long range - can be helped with a simple yet effective DIY gunstock for your controllers.

@light shuttle hey man i have a stock for that exact reason! i sell mine for 34.96!
Is there a website ?
35 USD
shipping to eu is going to be a bit more expensive @light shuttle @noble moth ill send you both info to ur dm
@light shuttle do u use quest? If yes buy @remote tiger stock
Anyone use this type of design and vouch for it? I think most seem to prefer the protube upside down type of setup?
i have heard that it causes alot of tracking issues
From what I've heard tracking with these is funky, but also this wontn work once quest 3 comes out if you decide to upgrade
cause quest 3 loses the ring lo
thats a good point dababy
Ah thats a very fair point. Didn’t think of that
also thats a quite high price
there is a cad of that for free lo
truuuuu
Really just looking at local UK options I can get hands on fast lol
Design variant that allows you to pull the gunstock with a bit more force against your shoulder is now uploaded on a zip file (sanlaki variant)! https://youtu.be/aK1wH8AZNGE
AR buttstock adapter now available!
I added a .txt files with the parts link. Thingiverse keeps on changing the links on this description.
June 8, 2021: I updated the barrel...
finding a cad option you can have websites print them for dirt cheap
you usually only pay like 30$ total for fillametn time and shipping from a good chunk of websites, but idk how it'd work in the UK
dont cheap out on ur filliment when ordering 20-30$ per 1kg is where u wana be
yeah for something your gonna be throwing around you do want high quality to
Yeah i dunno. Every time I look at gunstocks I just end up being so indecisive and never making a decision. Months later I’m still here rocking the virtual stock 🙈
@austere pine whats ur price point
~£100 I’d be happy with tbh
gotcah i would have recomended cheezys freedom stock but he dont do international
i offer a stock fror quest 2 for 34.96 USD but internatioanl shipping is going to be a little more
At that price point you can get some good quality, it'd be worth buying from someone here at that point
yea he makes a good point with ur budget you can def fidn some decent options
Have they released specifications for the quest 3 controllers size? cause it looks like a smaller hilt than quest 2? like almost the same as quest1/riftS
In a world where amazon deliver same day I’m so impatient 🤣
carefull with amazon ones there is alot of garbage on there
that and etsy
i personally use etsy but there is alot of garbage on that
in general theer is garbage everywhere lol
i think pins has some good options
Half tempted to just bite the bullet and order the magtube tbh
Just a little pricy once you get carbon and add ons
do it
for your situation i would do it
They a seller in here? Can’t see where they listed the ghosts of tabor moderator discount 😂
Yeah I see you guys putting in work! Hope it’s paying off 👊🏼
def is i app it!
ive got a code but i dont think theres a discount right now, @wild ruin would know better
Ohh they have options for Rift S controlelrs but still a little pricey lo
I’m all ears Jon!
oh yea i forgot ab him lol
protube makes cups for all controllers
In terms of stocks that have magnets for controlerrrs pulling them on an off is relitively seamless right?
a good design yes
thoughts on a design like this https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4545149
Gun stock for the Oculus Quest using an European size PVC pipe used for electrical conduit (20mm Outer Diameter).ATTENTION: NOT compatible with Quest 2 controllers
(Please do not ask privately for a remix, but feel free to adapt the design to your needs and share it to the community)
Both Oculus Touch VR controllers can be detached, 5 Neodymium...
very limited adjustments, shoulder rest is too low, no cheek rest
thats a hard pass from me
actually the shoulder rest looks adjustable, so maybe you can raise it to be a better height. i would be worried about getting the right height and distance
I can edit the cad and piece toether a better stock, mainly the controller rests
like would the controlers stay in while pulling them on and off the magnets
shrug, magnets are weak against sheer forces, i dont see how the magnets on that work
plus, you need some really strong magnets, like, 75lbs pull strength
hmm ok
I'm tryna find a good cad, and atp might have to make one myself, but idk how the magnets would work and such, if i even do magnets
buy nice, cry once is a saying i firmly believe
The issue is i plan to upgrade my headset within the next 2 months
either too quest3 or index, both ahveing different controllers from my current
o rly?
Does anyone have any recommendations for a haptic suit? I wanna get one but haven’t really looked into it
k I ordered the stock
anyone here have quest 2 prostraps for sale with the hardware for protube? lol dont really wanna pay 16 for dhl shipping

I already ordered the best one that is the best for aimming and quality 🙂
Edit: pardon mate, was breezing through and misread you. Carry on
@astral niche he's always like this 🙂
Bull. Anywhere in England there's a hardware store in reach.
Are you quest or index?
I've not heard of one but I don't handle that side of things at protube.
https://www.protubevr.com/en/content/6-customer-support
You can ask through here and see what they say.
Pasta 15 #🔫・vr-gunstock-chat message
Can't they just make it stop going up by setting it lower?
the people who are having this problem dont have adjustable gunstocks so they cant move it any lower
I mean ingame
Which is? That's a bold statement
yes
Protube, Has the best of all worlds!
there are people who agree with you.
i updated the pin with my findings. if your gun is pointing upwards its because your front hand is too high up. you can adjust it by changing the height of the gun which will keep the rear at a higher height and change the line between controllers
I agree with what ive seen about this stock. It's fine for me a user that doesn't like modding and uses for basic stuff
Yo guys, huge props to Toxic Smoke. Just got my gunstock from his Etsy shop and everything was there aside from a nut that costs like 2¢, assembly was easy and the video included on the QR code in the package made it easy to understand. Highly suggest DMing him about his stocks.
Literally all you need to put it together is pliers and a wrench
Same here he is a big help I’ve been texting him he helped me with all of the questions I had very well big props to him I ordered one today looking forward to it !
I dont own a 3D printer and i have no idea how Etsy works
etsy is like ebay but full of crafts
@wispy maple thank you so much for the kind words!. I think i gota start just putting the nuts in a bag. I put them in the screws and I think they are falling off
@fervent lake it’s just like Amazon
If interested in a low cost stock send me a dm!
For whatever reason my internet is dying because i have a pic of what i made
@fervent lake you don’t need a 3d printer if u order mine if that’s what u were saying. I make them and ship to ur door
Gotchaa
@fervent lake it’s definitely worth the purchase, it’s a low cost and very good quality product it’s the best I’ve seen for it’s very cheap price. The stock Is very durable and has very good mobility.
I’ll more than likely buy one from you at a later date, the one I made was just to get accustomed to using one
Because i am not paying like $80 like some websites show
Yeah same prices are outrageous for stocks and this one is the same if not better
Glad to hear @fervent lake!
are there any protubevr promo codes
I do want this, but I'm from the US and the guy charges like 30$ for shipping and estimated arrival of 1 month. That sucks.
I do think that the kobravr sidewinder appeals a bit more to me than freedom stock marginally but I don't know if I wanna wait 1 month. Thankfully I do still have my old Sanlaki magnet stock to hold me over but still.
I currently own this. The magnetic locking rings on mine are somewhat low quality. One of mine has cracked and is loose after about 50 hours of use probably.
It's also rather heavy and I don't recommend it for looter shooters. Think about it. That right hand gunna be out holding backpacks etc a lot. It's a few pounds total.
From my research it appears that if you can avoid harsh magnets, you should. Also controller friction cups feel weird and can be somewhat challenging to find while playing. A really intuitive magnet system like freedom stock or a literal half controller holder like the kobravr sidewinder seems to be the way to go on this game.
Would you consider protube to have harsh magnets?
lol
You having moments when attaching your controllers messes with your tracking?
protube has very strong magnets, iirc its 75lbs pull force
I dont have one yet
Looking to buy one compatable with Rift S which aren't that common
Fair, have you read my pasta yet?
yeah
I have the ability to 3d print, but CAD's the work with rift S that are relitively well made and few and far between, and im upgradiung my Rift S to quest 3 when it drops so protube i can just buy new cups ig
Pasta 16 #🔫・vr-gunstock-chat message
Just in case.
But between the 4 there and the reviews channel in the pasta, that should be quite a few manufacturers to look at.
Otherwise I do think you'll need to just print one. You don't need to own a 3d printer, we can find one near you.
My school has an abundance of 3d printers
Maker's spaces will be your best friend for tools and printers.
Honestly i dotn think dropping the large price tag on a protube would be that bad considering how universal and high qual it seems to be so 🤷♂️ idk
if someone could find me a good oculus rift gun stock ill give you a smooch
and they have to be able to deliver to uk
Any device of making a gunstock out of card board dm me
I use this till my gunstock comes in about 3 weeks, it works to keep your right hand stable and something to press against your shoulder
I use a toilet paper roll
I just spent money on one
And bought it
Gunsrtock Calibration REALLY should be where you gun will be holding it with two hands (with or without grips). Im so tired of calibrating my stock, only to get a grip on my gun and its not too high. That or calbrating it perfectly but a different gun of the same class now shiftf down or up makign it awekward.
Any decent stock will be universal and high quality
how much does a gun stock cost
Between nothing and 200, with most of the pre built market between 60-80
mine was around 120, but im sure you can find an 80$ thats decent
I don’t want that
Do you guys think this is a good diy gunstock if I don't got the money for a good one right now?
Is there a video on how to calibrate my tomahawk stock because i dont get what im doing wrong ?
This
the thing with gunstocks is: Does this work for you? Does this make you better at the game you're using it on?
because from my opinion, if you're looking for a cheap DIY stock then go for it, it looks solid
I don't know I've never used a gun stock the reason I wanna get one/make one is I have problems keeping my hands still
then this is probably good for you. Biud a BIY stock and try it out before buying one of the big ones like protube or something
They are still while other doing other things but while shooting they get shaky making my aim worse
I have free handed in VR for a LONG time but there are a lot of people who swear by gun stocks
go for it, let me know how it works for you
Will do!
all these home made gun stocks bro
Do this thing Really works??
I did it
Ik
I have a picture, I killed him. I killed kertek (feel free to correct me on his name)
I don't have a picture of his body, but I have his gun as proof
Ik it isn't his helmet, that's on the mannequin behind me, along with his armor
I feel accomplished
Im sorry but it just hurts me hear you call him kertek
HIS NAME IS FUCKING KRTEK
LIKE A MOLE
Im looking for a gunstock that's abt 20-30€ any help?
@remote tiger stock
Dm he or wait he dm u
K
Yea is there any word on improvements to gunstock calibration. Imo it should be towards the top of their improvement list.
Unfortunately I haven’t heard anything
@jovial jolt send me a dm and we can discuss!
I did
Does anyone have any tips for DIY Index gun stocks? I have a 3D printer available, but can't find anything decent.
Does shooting with stocks seem buggy to anyone else?
I got a sanlaki stock that ive used without any issues in onward, mercenaries, and Pavlov. My issue is My non dominant hand (right) likes to drift away and contort.
Tracking issue most likely if u can move the rear controler further away from ur headset @dire nest
Oh wait u mentioned non dominant hand
Oh yea controlers thay attach to the bottom of a stock are prone to tracking issues.
If you don’t use the stock does it do the same thing?
Happens to me when I magnet my closer controller back to my gunstock too aggressively
The controllers closer to you on base station tracking just has more things that can occlude it. (You, your headset, your gunstock, your other controller)
That’s why I don’t wana make a stock like that. It’s prone to issues
Has anyone used the tomahawk 3in1 gunstock from skolvr ?
Yeah that's what happens. But further hand. If I go too quick my hand will just keep on moving 🤣
It's still playable. But my movements are much slower. And putting things in and on my person is slower. But I can engage with a player from 100 meters with a Mac 10 and kill them so there is that.
Do I need the sling that comes with the stock?
Nope of u want use it
its reccomended to use it as you switch items alot, but never required
Recently when im using my stock my gun is always pointed slightly to the right once I grab the gun with my offhand
does anyone know a fix
cause I cant find a yaw tilt in the stock calibration
and It makes the game unplayable with any two handed guns
Your gunstock needs a slight adjustment to left/right on the controller mounts
do you mean I need to rotate them?
cause they dont go left or right
Your quest is having tracking issues because of the angle you hold the controllers in certain guns
thing is they are lined up normally in the calibration screen
The stock mounted above the controllers isn’t helping either
The downside to non adjustable stocks
ive got a protube i thought that is adujstable
You can, you rotate them slightly
ok you meant rotate
That has the effect of slightly moving the controller to the left or right
are gun stocks worth it? they seem hard to work with and manage
Good ones are pretty easy to use, so there’s lots of benefits
I would say they are worth
they are better for games that aren't tabor
why do you say that?
that just sounds like the experience you might have without a good gunstock design
Controller type?
probably index controllers
Index Knuckles
Then you have allot of options. More form factors than a quest.
My personal recommendation is a bowk invert marksman, you can find the STLs on the bowk website, and then you just need to go get the rods
i wanna get one but theyre really expensive
Hey man I actually sell them for cheap @amber heart 34.96 I’ll send info to ur dm
bruh
What’s up?
thats alot lol
Thats actually*** the*** cheapest gunstock on the market. Sounds like you may want to look into a DIY solution.
@lethal sinew has a great poor mans solution

@amber heart yea they go all the way up to 200+ nowhere will u find one that’s not a diy for cheaper
I just got this i cant do it
in going to try right now
omg i cut my finger doing this shit
Part 1 done
I bought a KobraVR sidewinder. It seems so fast and perfect for looter shooters. My Sanlaki has been good to me but it's so damn heavy
safety first... i should've emphasized that in the video lol
Do it at your own risk ig
I just found out super glue dont work
If I were to get a gunstock for quest 2 what’s a good stock to get
@remote tiger stock
For o ly 35 u can get one
Bro fr if i kill someone with this
If you got 80-100$ I recommend kobraVR Sidewinder or freedom stock.
For cheaper, @remote tiger seems to have a solid design
AVOID DIFFICULT TO MANIPULATE MAGNET DESIGNS
fuck, i just realized i have a butt tone of legos and a bunch of thin plates stacked is pretty sturdy
I alr ordered a stock but I’m abt to make this and see how it works 😭
its decent tbh
XD bro u got 3 levels of improvised thing being
Level 1 - u see what the person did
Level 2 - ok he tryed
Level 3 - BRO WTF ARE YOU DOING
What the fuck is this
man if u dont know imagine me

Does it work ?
Dint tested but
It seems very strong
If u dont breath with enough force to brake it XD
Caution to dont cut your finger
Noted
And makensure to use strong tape not like me
@lethal sinew how muc space from one controller to other one
that just looks like something merged inside a trashcan and you took it out
Fr
lol i don't understand the quesiton. Thanks for sharing your cardboard version... it's... special
Like how much far i need to place one cup that a controller to another one
@formal nimbus @noble moth
When you guys finish the failstock, use it like this: https://www.twitch.tv/sweatygeckottv/clip/CulturedRealKangarooAsianGlow-rspWyA7nRZYPsK_2
Forward hand isn't strapped to the "under support" it rests on it
obviously... using your gunstock built.
not the one Gecko uses.
Hell yeah I was probably going modify it to have both controllers locked in
Am I the only one having a glitch fest with the gunstock calibration. Can’t get it to stay set
In the calibration I can’t even grab the gun with both hands. And after I got a good calibration when I test it my gun just aims at the ground.
Noticed another massive issue. When I calibrate on gunstock my hand in game is no longer where my controller is irl. They aren’t in sync anymore with location
Tbh you gotta calibrate per gun and depending on what grip being used before raiding.
ok i finished my shit and gon say its pretty stable
Finished
gon test it now
Same
im going on pavlov
shack?
Yeah
on going on quest 2 version
Are you talking about during calibration like the height of the hand?
Because I just figured out that’s why my hand isn’t in the same place as my controller
yeah you've gotta put your hands in place first
Well yea my hand is on my stock when I do it. But when I calibrate it moves my in game hand away from where my controller is. Then when I save it locks it in like that
So whenever I pick up a gun now my hands not calibrated properly to my controller position which makes my gun aim to the ground when I grab it with my other controller
When I put my two controllers next to each other the right hand is like 10 inches infront of the left
sounds like you are using the visual aid of the calibration as the true reference, dont do that
just use it as a visual reference for how you are altering how you hold the gun
the gunstock calibration does not alter where your front hand is and how it will affect the guns alignment when you do that
you can only alter where the gun will be on your main hand and what orientation it will have
so if your front hand without gunstock calibration is causing the gun to point up or down, you can only alter the rear controller position to change that line
Holy shit that hangar stock is actually good asf
@royal wagon do you mind if I dm you later to talk about it more? Im hopping off ghosts of tabor but seems like you really know how to set it up well.
So I could definitely use the help if you are willing
keep it here please thanks
Gotcha, can I tag you next time I’m on to get help
Finally after acut finger and 1 hours of adjuts on it i got it and works very good @noble moth
If u want later we can hop on
Too
would it be better to 3d print a gunstock?
do i even need to say?
sorry i meant rather than buying one
I hope you got a big 3d printer
if u got a decent 3d printer then yes
my friends got one, and i can just print small parts till i get the parts i need
you need to print the gun with the stock
prob not worth the time if you don’t got a decent size printer
Remember not to have the physical gun stock and the virtualgunstock option on at the same time. If you're using a physical gun stock, turn off your virtual gun stock. They counteract each other if you don't
who said the gun part needs to be 3d printed, plus if it is 3d printed then screws and glue works
…. what
u don’t need to 3d print them but you asked if you should
i mean like the thing that holds the parts together like a tube
what i meant could be printed is the stock and the grips to put the controllers in
@pure crown thanks man!! @abstract lantern send me a message if interested!
i tested all day today. cant get it to work properly. stock m4 was perfect but as soon as i put a scope on and a grip, its shifted so much that i cant aim.
i think i get back to virtual gunstock 😄
OK so is it kinda confirmed that gunstocks just aren't working right right now? Spent 20 minutes fine-tuning the calibration of all the guns, go to pick up the MP5 (same gun as I just calibrated directly in SMG mode) and it's not even CLOSE
Gunstock cal doesn’t work right
I recommend not using gunstock calabration
But MAH STOCK!!
gunstock calibration works, you just need to know how to use it with the limitations it has right now
I mean if there's a workaround I'm in it
I had it setup a few patches ago and it worked exactly as it was supposed to then
it hasnt changed since release
Yes it does work but you have to finagle it highly to get it to work. It doesn’t work how it should
Toxic, your stock looks exactly like a magtube my dude, love it!
generally yes for the price. dont really need a big printer, it just depends on the design
Thank you man!!! One note the shoulder part is actually upside down. If u like it better that way no worries!
Bit confused then, I didn't make any changes until I went to pick up a gun off my actual shelf and it was pointing 30 degrees up from what I had JUST calibrated it as
make sure you quit and reload
check the pin on the procedure for a reliable calibration
if its not pointing the way you want time to change it
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu....that's probably why 😦
I cri evertim
I most certainly did not quit and reload
Tested with... What?
So as I said before can it work yes. Does it work without jumping through hoops / as intended? No
