I play togle only when controllers aren't analog on grip bouton (psvr2, vive wand)

I would not be able to use togle for loot

It’s rough but it feels so nice when you’re holding the magtube and don’t need to keep the grips pressed down.

I don't like on Oculus cause the grip feel 'in the way',
And when you play with index like hand straps, you tend to real open your hand and 'hold' feel way more natural to me

Yeah I’m on a quest 2 so hold feels like my middle finger is wrapped too tight around the gun when the grips are pressed. It feels much more natural with the middle fingers relaxed but then I get toggle grip elsewhere and my hands get stuck on cabinets.

For a pistol you drop the stock, it’s always on a sling, otherwise the stocks are adjustable for different weapons

Well considering the index is lighthouse tracked you would entirely expect that, the quest 2 just doesn’t seem to be in a good category for over top stocks because it does work but when it doesn’t it’s usually pretty bad..

theres a command line way to resync your IMU calibration and that can help

The stopper clip and the cheek weld come with the LoPRO.

The SPINE is an all-around stock while the LoPRO is more specialized for competitive and less immersive

I wound up with the front two pipes horizontal and back running up at 30 degrees to the butt stock. Both controllers are in the middle of their pipe with the back controller centered and front offset ccw a bit. It’s not perfect but works on like 75% of the weapons until we get calibration.

Re ForceTube vs bHaptics and being added before gunstock calibration

1. ForceTube and bHaptics use their own separate plugins devs integrate and set values and parameters etc. however they see fit.
2. For info, it typically takes a game dev around 2 hours to add native integration to their project using our plugin.
3. Gunstock calibration is a whole different beast compared to adding haptic integration to a game. I can't speak for how long it takes to implement bHaptics but if it is anything similar to ForceTube, then a dev could get both done in an afternoon no problem. Gunstock calibration would probably take days or weeks to get right.

I think them releasing support for bHaptics and ForceTube once it was ready is the right call.

The Starter is probably more beginner friendly, but the MagTube is way more adjustable and you can do pretty much anything with it including things such as taking it apart and building whatever you want.

3D printing is a powerful tool that makes production easier and cheaper than something like mould injection that requires large batches at once to be economically viable. Also since 3D printers are so accessible it is easier to just pull a file off the internet and print it without any additional cost vs spending x amount on a gunstock. Anything breaks you just print it again.

Chrome reflects and may cause tracking issues with some headsets. Check with your headset maker info to see what interferes with its tracking. Also carbon is lighter and more durable. Easier to hold up for hours

You can just cover the chrome tubes as well to prevent tracking issues totally up to you; its fine on most headsets

Regardless of how it is done, I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to just use it and not have to physically adjust stuff. If you calibrate it and don't like it, calibrate it again etc. Could even just recalibrate for each gun or whatever. It's not like you don't get to choose exactly what you bring with you to the field. Totally up to the user how they want to approach it all

Now obviously if you just want some mythical "never have to adjust anything ever and it just works perfectly for every weapon in the game" it probably won't do that and yes you are correct you would probably need to still adjust stuff. If you give it some thought I'm sure it is possible to find what works best for you as far as convenience is concerned

For anyone interested in a Forcetube module mine just arrived this afternoon. Short review is that build quality is amazing for a 3D print and the haptic strength feels perfect in the demo but a little weak in the native GoT preset. You feel the kick in GoT and it’s not strong enough to negatively impact your aim but I hope they turn it up a notch for the sake of immersion.

Also in GoT all guns seem to kick the same. The demo in the Forcetube software has very distinct strengths for P90, M16 and PKM.

So as a vive pro/ index controller user I could not get the stock to line up with the ingame sights with out hitting my head set with the back of the gun. How ever next update will give us gunstock calibration so I hope that will fix the issue with the full stock. I ended up running it this way kinda like a smg build. This works a bit better for my play style anyways as I run n gun in silo.

Hey guys I just noticed hand pitch rotation offset is missing from the quest 2 version but present on pcvr

Also Letting go of the gun with your trigger hand will cause the gun to align with your off hand. It be neat if it stayed in place like other games so you can perform reloads with your trigger hand rather than off hand to avoid your gun snapping out of place

I am using the Modus R for this game and love it. Having two different front grips is great for switching between rifle and smg without worry. Anyone out there using the protube magtube know if they will sell you a second front grip/mount so you could set it up this way? Only bummer is I have to set the shoulder stock low so I can still pick up an sks and see down the iron sights without my face hitting it. It sets some of the assault rifles stock a little low but it really isn't noticeable unless you are being really picky. I would like to try a magtube but only if I can get a second grip for it.

Just got this one in the mail a few days ago. By far the best gunstock I've had. It took a couple months to ship but it was worth the wait. I felt your sks pain 😆 I managed to get around the SKS issue by putting the front grip really far forward and angled really forward / down. and keeping the second grip bit back and normally angled, and then curving the entire base "stick" to make it angled so you can avoid hitting the gun stock when reloading

Only limited by your imagination in regards to setup. If you hop in our Discord some people have some crazy setups and don't look anything like the original MagTube
