So Iā€™ve been using a gun stock since launch and never had any issues and I hop on today and there was an update and now every time I grab a gun and then grip with my left hand the gun goes sideways and I have to hold my gunstock almost completely sideways to shoot straightā€¦like wth happened?? Also it works flawlessly in pavlov and contractors

What you're looking for in a stock is rigidity, durability, cup placement and QoL (arm adjustment, cheek rest, colour)

ProTubeVR nails all of those, but it's expensive

I've found BowkVR performs just as admirably on everything but arm adjustments, but for a significantly lower price

There is an aiming offset currently in game that breaks most physical gunsstock. Your front hand needs to be off to the side for guns to aim straight currently.

Any stock that doesnā€™t articulate is a mistake that will only work for some guns in some games. That leaves you with Mamut, Protube or Magni as options with Mamut being the most expensive/most durable and Magni being the cheapest/least durable.

Gotcha, the way those post screws work is you're supposed to hold one screw with the first allen key you got, the second allen key is to tighten the other screw.

You hold the first screw in place with the allen key if that makes sense.

I have an issue with gunstock play. After the new update, aiming with gunstock is problematic.

The stick should be one black screw and a bolt the clamps should be a screw and the knob then the middle part should be 2 black screws and nuts to hold the bars then the adjustable part in the middle should be one silver screw and a knob

@velvet lava muscle memory. It's why I chose the Sanlaki. Magni and protube isn't too good unless using the same gun/size gun every time. You can't adjust on the fly. But regardless, reloading is just something you have to rediscover. Like learning to play again lol but worth it

Only saw the first reply, so if anyone hasnā€™t explained yet, the virtual gun stock works by helping to stabilize your gun when held in an ADS firing position. It essentially snaps the butt of the gun in game to your shoulder like an actual gun stock would be positioned to provide that third point of contact. It helps reduce the motion of the gun from your hands naturally hovering around when you donā€™t have a physical stock to hold them in place. Itā€™s the next best alternative to a physical stock

IMHO GoT virtual stock still needs some work. It doesnā€™t have that snap like you get in games like Onward. If you have Onward just go to your settings there and enable it to get a better idea of how it works. Itā€™s harder to tell when your virtual stock is actually engaged in GoT as of now.

like my oculus can track all the weapons fine because my trigger hand does not need to be up to my forehead to aim unlike the sks and bolt action that is why there is a tracking issue and i think they are offsetting to the side to fix this instead of just changing the offsets of those two problematic guns
