There are ways to do it to prevent trading. I do think it'd be fun to be able to see your teammates in bunker, even if you can't touch each other's objects. It would make the game feel more lively, if nothing else, not always going to your cold bunker all alone.

If you want to completely avoid, your best option is probably to play it like a stealth game, tbh. Hide when you hear people, run edge of map, avoid gunfire.

That said, lately I've been running into a lot of nakeys and low/mid geared people on Island and Silo. Not sure if I've just been getting lucky or what.

Surround sound headsets are a scam

They are bog standard 2 channel headphones that then try to achieve surround through trickery
Which every game already does itself
So it just fucks with the audio for no reason other than to be more expensive

Some "can" be decent for games that have a 7.1 surround option in audio but even then in the majority of cases you're better off disabling any software that headset comes with and just using stereo in games

I do like surround headsets with their software for watching movies with 7.1 channels tho

Yeah, I was going to say, I was heavy into Apex Legends years ago and could kinda tell when audio was above and below. It wasn't great, but in Ghosts of Tabor, it's basically nonexistent.

Yeah, shouldn't happen. I use a cable and have zero issues, so it's likely an issue with his PC. Could be worth repairing Meta Horizon app (assuming he's using that), repairing Windows, trying a different USB 3 port if he has another, trying a different cable, and running a diagnostic on his RAM

Well steamvr has some nice features but with a quest headset connected through metas software you're running steamvr on top of oculusvr which does take more resources from your pc and can introduce compatibility issues

Not sure I have any ideas for you, then. Sounds like you've tried just about everything. How long's this been going on?

A bit weird because I'd expect tons of users to be experiencing it if it was a problem on the game's end and you're just standalone Quest.

That leads me to think maybe your network is the problem. You've restarted your router, but maybe try a different router? Or if your modem has a built-in router, maybe try connecting to it directly.

I have had success repairing the Meta Horizon app, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling Tabor

I just launched the game on Meta Horizon & confirmed it's currently working, so it should be something on your end. Repairing Meta Horizon is the first thing I'd try. Windows settings -> apps -> installed apps -> 3 dots next to Meta Horizon Link -> Modify -> Repair. Reboot.

If that doesn't work, I'd uninstall Tabor and reinstall.

If that doesn't work, I'd uninstall Meta Horizon Link completely and reinstall.

Reboot PC after every step.

If that still doesn't work, there are some other things to try.

Check your network and firewall settings. Make sure you're on "private network," assuming you're on one. In Windows firewall, check your Allowed apps and make sure Oculus is allowed through the firewall. If you have a third party firewall besides Windows, you're on your own -- I won't know how to check that.

After that, if still not working, I'd probably try to repair Windows...

I gave some commands for trying to repair Windows here. Actually worked for this person! But no guarantees...

AK Alpha works for me. I always come in on the second floor and kill them from the balcony. Getting as much distance between you and them as you can helps.

Once I peaked over the balcony closest to them and threw an impact nade which killed most of them, lol. But it sent his gun a green card flying and I couldn't find them... so I don't do that anymore. 😅

Quests were added to the game in the December wipe of 2024. they are story based and need more involvement. they are different to [Tasks](<https://got.miraheze.org/wiki/Tasks>) which let you repeat them however they do not give item rewarded.

200k is crazy considering its really easy to find from vaults and get from missions. 20k to 30k is a good price imo considering they made it a bit rarer to find
