I feel like a compromise of doesnt ban you isn't officially supported would be cool. Let users know that theres Zero support but if they can get it to work they can play. From my preliminary research other anticheat systems have managed it fine. While I understand thats not the same thing as building the in house anticheat to work fine it could be a good use of time to see what gets flagged on a standard linux install using proton and see how much work it would actually take. Especially with the mass migration from windows and steam os on the horizon.
