hey so I've had this problem when I load in I'm completely fine for my first game and when I load into my bunker after raid I'm still completely fine but when I load into a second game and onwards I get horrible stuttering issues. Its like I'm playing in google slides. I play on pcvr so I tried to load into steam vr instead of meta quest but the same thing still happens even after I reinstall my game and its not my quest or pc and they both run fine in the background it is just tabor itself. Does anyone have any fixes or solutions?

My CPU is a AMD Ryzen 3 3100 and my GPU is a AMD Radeon 5700RX. I use a quest 2 and I use a link cable but it is usb c to usb a. The thing is though I have been playing for like 8 months and not once did I have a problem until one day this just started happening.

hm. you are cutting it close to the minimum required specs for tabor, but you should be fine with it. Using a quest for pcvr does generally end up in some performance loss, but i doubt it would be enough to actually cause that.
My guess is that you might have some other apps running in the background that take up performance (e.g. Clipping software like medal or sum?)

I suppose an easy attempt on checking it could be made by lowering ur resolution and graphics, and then trying again?

I thought that too at first and closed all other apps but necessary ones and restarted my game it did nothing so I put my graphics to lowest and lowered the res a bit still nothing so I went into my bios to maybe change around some settings still nothing I went through oculus diagnostics and changed my settings there to lowest still nothing. Another thing I just remembered is that it is extremely worse on missile silo like it is so much worse and also when ever I join a friends lobby it get real bad no matter if I'm in my bunker or in a raid so I thought it somehow might've been my internet it was not.

So I ran some tests using frame loss capture. The first game I'm running a perfect 90hz and frames and I'm barely loosing any frames but when I load into the next raid my frames and Hz cap out at like 50-70 and I'm now loosing like 3x the amount of frames that I normally do. I just don't get why its doing this out of the blue.

Im gonna be honest, i dont really have any idea what cause that so out of the blue.
Did you try and keep an eye on ur task manager whenever that starts happening? Could be interesting to see if it spikes somewhere.

That aside, you could try basic things like deleting ur savefiles or doing a clean reinstall of the game.

Thing about this is that over time Microsoft will add more and more shit to windows which eats up more of your performance overhead
There's a high chance your system is just too weak now

They dont necessarily cross over to another account, youll be basically playing on ur steam account whilst on standalone if u link steam as primary and meta and secondary

Storage isn't the same as memory, memory is how much your headset can run at once, and if your headset is overworking it tends to act buggy (not a tech dude so im bad at explaining tech things, but I think you got the point)

Yes, also it might just be because you aren't taking care of it properly. Headsets don't last forever but you can extend it's life by just cleaning it every-so often, or not overheating it constantly (like when you feel warm air coming out from the top of it), and some other things.

Hmm, its most likely a memory issue. Make sure while playing tabor you don't have anything else open (like browser tabs, meta store or anything like that) and if you have any extra vr games that you haven't played in awhile clear their cache.

Play a few training raids or pve until you can kill skavs reliably.
Wear armour, cause everything hurts.
Aim for head on skavs.
Aim for head on players, unless you have a shitty gun, and they have a visor

Do mall a bunch of times get a cheap pistol star it and bring it every raid then kill a foxtrot then use that gear to try and survive thats how I got to level 55 and 20mill

It will help to learn the maps you intend to play on regularly. Learn where players are likely to spawn, where meds can spawn, where high value loot can spawn. Knowing these will help you avoid high traffic areas where more skilled/kitted players are likely to roam. The wiki has reliable maps for all of these things so id start there. When moving around, try and stick close to cover (things that stop bullets) so that way when you get shot at, you can buy yourself some extra seconds to breathe, heal, and return fire.

practice aiming and reloading. it seems like a no brainer, but in the heat of a firefight, it gets easy to screw up your aim and miss your reload 6 times in a row

bring a bag with atleast 2 NRS and 1 bandage (minimum) and organize it so its easy to grab and out of the way. When stuffing loot into your bag, try to stay organized, makes it easier to bring out more loot and access meds

if theyve got the big armor and helmet, try to aim for their neck and exposed limbs, and attack them from the sides or behind. youre going to loose a straight-up firefight so you gotta be sneaky. Grenades also work wonders however they are a little tricky to use

and youre going to die alot. That is ok. everyone dies alot

Read somewhere that aiming for 0.7 k/d is a good goal for extraction shooters as a beginner
