Virtual desktop puts your entire pc on your headset. Which you can use meta pc app to use the game you already own. However if you want steamvr you will have to buy a new got through steam. So either way it will cost money. You can try airlink with the quest but like I said before from my experience the shake/studder that comes from airlink is bad.

Is there any way to alleviate connection issues? I'm trying to squad up with a couple friends for PVE mode, and a majority of the time, I am forcibly disconnected after about 10-30 seconds. Attempting to rejoin at this point using the built-in rejoin function either results in failing to reconnect, which forces me to sit and wait for my friends to be done with the raid before letting me do anything, or crashing my game outright.

No matter what happens, I lose whatever I entered the raid with, even if it's insured, I don't get it back. I've been trying to troubleshoot this problem for two days now, and decided I'd come here and try to ask for help.

The friends in question don't seem to have any issues staying connected with each-other, but I rather consistently lose connection shortly after joining, and am unable to rejoin without being put in a proverbial 'time-out' and/or risking crashing. The couple times the game hasn't disconnected me, it's been a relatively fun experience, and I'd like to keep playing without it feeling like I'm gambling as to whether or not I'll be playing for 30 minutes, or waiting for 30 minutes.

I'm trying to play PVE raids with a couple friends. However, only when joining raids with my friends, I frequently disconnect 10-30 seconds after loading into the raid. When I attempt to rejoin, I either get placed back in my Bunker with no way to rejoin, or my game simply crashes. Regardless of which of the two happens, I lose everything I entered the raid with, whether it was insured or not.

Could be a million things, but fundamentally when you play solo PVE you are playing locally on your headset (with a connection to the GoT backend while in bunker).
When you play with friends you play on a game server located in a location with the best average latency to all players connecting to the server.
