CA is kinda weird one, harder to judge on SPA experience unless it's clear counter, because everyone is on equal sync and at higher commander levels there invest difference/core difference, skill level difference etc. alot of hidden factors, in SPA/Rookie you usually have advantage of knowing/testing what opponent team capable off

in CA though you could look up past matches and see if they lost or won to similar teams
