DEF is "better than nothing" but really is "essentially nothing" lol.
Take a lvl 400 C7 Noah for example. With full +5 OL gear, you're looking at about 23k def. If you roll 4 black DEF lines, that's about +60% DEF, so 37k def rounding up. Shotgun auto attacks do about 140k damage at lvl 400, so instead of reducing that 150k dmg to 127k, you're reducing it to 113k. That's an 11% damage reduction on auto attacks.

Not bad, but also not much since it's a flat reduction. Burst nukes hit for 2-3 mil damage, and you're also only taking off 37k damage. So while def can somewhat help you survive pre-burst auto attacks, its not gonna really do much for the important thing, e.g. surviving the burst damage.

Basically you can try to time things to avoid such a disastrous "hard countered me" outcome due to unfortunate timing

Alternative is to reduce or remove your RLs from the attack team going after their Rapunzel comp.

RL splash damage is what's causing Rapunzel to drop HP low enough before her B1 burst.

Or you can try to be even faster and do an instant B3 burst before Rapunzel can - meaning not use Emilia.

I would clarify her as a wildcard. If you have a flex slot open, you can run her (doesn't even need to burst) for a potential P1 stun that could maybe help you win the fight depending on your opponent's set up. So in a SP Arena, this is just another add to your attack tool kit. But for CA, you're just praying on RNG match making

ye looks good, the idea here is that p1 and p2 get splash dmg, blanc will be invulnerable via biscuit while s.anis drops lower HP than the whole party, which then gets selected for indom priority

your indom target should always be ideally your main DPS or nuker

in very few occasions you want your taunter to be indommed instead, but that's mostly against enemy single target hitters

Noise drawing Siren’s stun is a valid counter. Cuz, being B1, Noise will definitely burst before the stun if team is faster than 3RL - Siren’s stun is said to trigger at ~3.1RL or so and the timing is slightly erratic I’ve heard. What that means, I’m not clear on, but the main point is Noise overcomes it adversely affecting your comp.

So makes good sense to me. Bay, I have less experience with, so idk that.
