One of the shops near me does that (unfortunately not hiring haha) you can work five 8 hour days and get 2 day weekend or you can work four 10 hour days and get 3 day weekends and over half the staff choose the 5 day work week because 10 hours is too much !

I was allowed to bring Thor to work one day (because it was near the end when he was havifn bad days and I always went home for lunch so if he was having a good day he could go for a little walk or the very least get some fresh air … and the boss needed me to go to the other shop to train someone and it’s an hour away so wouldn’t be able to go home so I refused so I was told I could have him with me as long as I keep him in the back office so no customers see to tell) and anyways everyone that day was in a great mood , if a customer was rude or stressful they would come in and give him pets and belly rubs and leave the office happy

The only one that I'd say genuinely tries for sympathy is the Ursula book - but if you read it with the background context of 'Happily Never After: Vanessa', it works again.

Evil Queen's book, Fairest of All ||gives a solid backstory for her - the 'Magic Mirror' contains her father's soul. He was abusive towards her and gave her an inferiority complex; she tried to move on when she left, but the Odd Sisters' 'gift' of the mirror brought her worst traits to their worst levels. This is a bit of a short summary, but the book is fantastic imo.||

Beast's book, "Beast Within", ||does the opposite of what's being discussed - a lot of Beast's evil actions are kind of ignored/glossed over by the narrative. The book reminds us that he was a genuinely awful person, and that he really did need to change - and he did. It wasn't impossible for him, but it wasn't going to happen without the right person being involved. Even then, there are people who were gruesomely harmed by his actions.||

Ursula's book, "Poor Unfortunate Soul" ||is the weakest of the bunch, imo. I honestly do think that Triton is worse than he tends to be depicted, but the book does kind of woobiefy her too much.|| I think the most interesting take for her comes from Happily Never After: Vanessa, in which ||we learn that, as a cecaelia, she's basically not capable of real love. She experiences it as a human, but the draw towards dark magic and her selfish impulses are just not something she can naturally resist, and even as a human in love, she doesn't give in to love.||

In Maleficent's book, "Mistress of All Evil", ||we get both sides of the coin. Maleficent was predisposed to darker magic, but she was genuinely a good kid under Nanny's tutelage. Even despite everyone being against her and giving her a hard time, she tried to be the best person she could be. Then she used the Odd Sisters' spell to have a child, Aurora - and she unwittingly gave up almost all of the good inside her to do so. All that was left was the worst of her - she didn't have to do it, but she did. All that was left was 'The Mistress of All Evil'.||

In Gothel's book, "Mother Knows Best", ||we learn of Gothel's childhood. She always had something of a selfish streak, and she was at a disadvantage because of how truly awful her mother was. She tried to be good for her sisters' sakes, but she ended up worn down from everything - killing her mother, her sisters dying, the Odd Sisters accidentally abandoning her, failing to inherit her mother's magic... it genuinely invokes a lot of sympathy for how her circumstances shaped her.
That being said, the book doesn't ignore that she was always kind of rotten from the start - her situation amplified it, but she never really cared about life that wasn't important to her, she tried to manipulate her sisters to get her own way, and she never genuinely sacrificed for them - she just tried to find ways to work things the way she wanted.
Despite the trauma that she had undergone by the time she got Rapunzel, she truly was her worst self - one can understand why she was doing what she was doing, but the way she 'unpersons' Rapunzel is horrific, and not necessary for her plans.||

reminds me of || theories. 1. she was meg from hercules. tried to save him with the flower andall it did was keep her young. and she grew bitter and addicted to being young. but losing hercules hardened her heart to how she was after losing her first love, and by the time rapunzel came around she wasn't capable of loving anyone. not sure if it's true but a fun theory. 2. she's the evil queen. the potion made her pertmanently evil. and the flower reins her youth briefly. and ironic she'd be stuck with another princess because of her beauty. ||

I think the books are generally also helpful. Because there are people that reach those lows and they then do the work and improve themselves. A year ago I was hurting and awful and now, through alot of therapy I am doing really well, but I also recognize that seeing that helped me in a way push myself to be better and take the steps to break some really awful cycles that I was sticking myself in

TL;DR: while yes, the villains do horrible things and are definitely not good people, it is helpful in helping real people see the cycles and can encourage people to get the help they need so they can get out of their own vicious cycles.

its pretty normal for kids to say their tummy hurts to get to go home, which is why they normally want them to have a fever to send them home. But if the parent is willing to come and get them and the kid is really wanting to go and they aren't a frequent flier, they will send them. This was not normal for this kid in particular, neither was the behavior he was portraying before I took him to the nurse. I just thought it was pretty funny he was jumping around as soon as they said he could go home 🤣

also another thing about my school is I have never seen so many twins in one place. Idk if ive said that before. the teachers say theres something in the water lol. I work k-5 and theres at least 4-5 sets of twins I know of. The teachers talk like theres more throughout the school and how its common they live separately or might go to different schools, like one of my kids on the bus is a twin but her sister lives with their dad.

So I will never know if I'm seeing the same kids throughout this school or if its two different kids lol XD

The two teachers I'm with in 5th grade they have one set in each class which I thought was both weird/cool because the schools I went to, never put siblings or cousins or anything in the same class. The world is beautiful, the story is intriguing, and it gives u the freedom to enjoy the world without completely be stuck in the events of the film. Like, they mention events from the first movie at the start of the game and that’s all u hear about it

It is open world and it is technically a type of shooter, cuz the weapons u use are either bows or guns, but it all makes sense for the world and u can choose if u want to use bows and spears the majority of the time or guns. Or u can swap between both
