After months of critters not being very generous, I've finally finished all the critter memories, and all the memories as a whole (except for one that says 'unlock by progressing' which apparently has never actually been available). Have them hang out with you while you do event jobs or tasks, even other quests. Doing the skill you've assigned them will make them level up faster. Give them their favourite gifts for the day. And feeding them in the restaurants levels up faster too.

A new save. Like an alt or a new game as a restart?

I want to nuke my save file and start again since I finished and have learned a lot about decorating in the intervening years

You can hit restart from main menu itll keep your account. So moonstones & premium items are saved but start at day 1

A lot of the very first quests are there to help you understand how parts of the game work, so it doesn't matter too much at that point. You should be able to do whichever one appeals to you!

!support You will need to contact Gameloft support as your pc save will have completely different information like your player ID. You will need to ask them to remove that save from your PC account and then you can use the cloud to log into your PC with your PS5/Switch save. All your purchases from your PS5 account will transfer over but anything you have on your PC currently, will be gone. Purchased moonstones do not carry over to other platforms, only free ones you get from Dreamsnaps/chests etc.

Expansions are not cross-platform. You will be able to use tools, items, and characters from them in your main Valley on all platforms with the same account, but to visit the expansion worlds you will need to purchase them for each platform.

To visit thre DLC's on Switch you would have to buy them again, if you don't want to buy them on Switch, you will still have access to the DLC resources you have collected on Steam and the DLC villagers can still visit yourr valley.

For the Switch 2 update you have to get it from the Nintendo E shop, there was another update that is causing some confusion and why some people are not able to increase the item limit thinking they have done the switch 2 update. If you've done both updates then you turn it on as Trusty posted under settings help (believe just below where you put redemption codes).
