This may be a very stupid question I just dove into this game and I have completed the base game today and all of the characters I do have unlocked are level 10 but most of their quest lines are locked due to having to get characters from the Dreamlight castle I’m wondering if anyone has advice/hacks for accruing a lot of Dreamlight quickly so I can unlock the rest of the realms

Daily dreamlight tasks are the best way IMO

This might not sound great, but the easiest way to accrue Dreamlight magic is by focusing on the rotating Dreamlight tasks of the day. They don't look like a lot, but they add up. I've gotten over 30k in one day of playing by doing those and collecting whatever of the longer tasks got finished. If you get into a rhythm you can stack some of them (like "gather mushrooms" and "harvest five vegetables" can be done at the same time, then hold them for a "sell vegetables" one.)

As a tip, any of them that say "add decorations to [biome]", you can actually just grab a landscaping item (tree or bush) in that biome, rotate it, and set it back down, instead of placing something new. Very quick.

Hello everyone! Recently I've been playing towards completing all the missing memories but yesterday I had a realisation that I might need them for the next star path. So I was wondering, what activity allows you to get more memory orbs despite completing that specific memory collection? Of course I know I'll be getting coins but the goal is to complete the future star path tasks and I'm worried if I complete my last memory I don't know what future activity would give me memory orbs. I hope it made sense, thank you!

I find digging with potions in dlc to be super efficient to getting memories
Gulch in particular I was getting alot!

Youll still get orbs btw. They'll just be coins if have all memories completed AFAIK

You can batch cook over n over n over on a floating island .... ex. Crackers or cheese 1 x item cook spamming

You can hit reset too then all your memory orbs will go in pocket. Just pop them then into your storage

Once you need any. Go fetch x amount out of storage
If prefer not to have tons of orbs laying round

Totally agree with this, that'd make things more fair and just. I literally haven't touched the game since the Cinderella release, I was kind of shocked to see them reintroducing an already used dreamstyle (FGM) in the bundle, it seemed very low in effort but VERY high and demanding in terms of moostones, you could see the laziness in that update. They seem to just rush the free content at this point - Also, they added Frozen related items for Cinderella 😭 Like WHAT? Where is the creativity? The lack of quality is starting to show

There also seems to be a decrease in the percentage of people earning 4K when doing their dreamsnaps, it went from 5% in 2025 (Which is quite low) to 4% in 2026 since the Winter Ball update release. Hmmmmm! That seems like a low blow to me, almost as if they want to force people to not have any other choice but actually purchase the moonstones

I don't think people earning less is due to people taking well selfies, I think there was clearly a change in the coding and how dreamsnaps work. It is a business after all - They aim for the money like any other game and they did that with other games in the past also. And Gameloft would never address something like this because it would go against them at some point - I still think that there is a huge decrease in quality and greed is definitely one of the factors to this. And nobody is asking for 'freebies' - The game isn't even free to play, people have to pay for expansions and the base game AND a lot of items from the shop. The least they could do is be honest about how the ranking system works. Also, a lot of items from shop have huge clipping/texture issues while people are basically paying for those. It is also unfair from them to not care about it - This shows that there is a lack of play tests before releasing an update, a lot of bugs have not been fixed for months now - Not to mention that a hotfix comes every update which can go up to months of not having a proper fix. I think it is okay to criticise them because you paid for this and giving them the pass every time won't change anything. Like, let's be honest, most of the people can see the lack of quality for a couple of months now and a big change in the ranking systems.

Composing a well done photo isnt simple and easy. There are a lot of tiny details thatgo it. Ive spent the better parts of this week redoing my snap because I wanted Mickey and Minnie to be in a slightly better position. Its good but not perfect. Two players could build the exact same photo and still receive different results. I've seen it play out. Its all to the algorithm. Its all about what your photo gets put up against. I see a hundred well selfies, then two beautiful perfect pictures, now I have to choose the one that is slightly better. Wish I didnt, because they both deserve reward for their effort. Not to mention there are a ton of voters that click one or the other to get the MS and just move on.

I mean I've been playing on Switch and I also play on Steam and I actually use my Switch 2. This game is an absolute mess I mean constantly this thing crashes I mean this is a joke They better fix this because people are going to get extremely annoyed and you know if the switch two version eventually come out and it's not comparable to the steam version people are going to boycott because this is a joke and the other thing that I'm wondering is how much more can they add to this game to Switch. Both my husband and I also experience a lot of bugs lately. We play on our computers and Steam decks and the bugs went wild with the december update. Are others experiencing this as well?
Like being stuck in the workbench menu or when cancelling cooking or the game menu sometimes being stuck with the options to save or quit in the bottom left corner?
I love this game so so so much but I feel like these very plain bugs gets overlooked🥲

If people get annoyed that the switch 2 version is not comparable to the Steam version, they should do a bit more research on why a console cannot really compete with a PC.

It’s like comparing a bike to a car. Different function, not comparable thus not entitled to complain. The switch 2 might be better than the switch, but it still is a console and not a PC. Same as if my bike was electric, it’s still a bike, not a car, even though it’s better than a regular bike.

I actually have a vague idea of making my main player house into a high-end hotel/apartment, and I've built out a few of the rooms for it. But in general, I don't do a lot of decorating unless I get the urge or have a specific motivation like a snap

It also doesn't help that we don't have a lot of options for commercial furniture. Like, different kinds of clothes hangers and displays for shops, or shopping trolleys and bell carts, or signage. It's one thing that ACNH does way way better.

Stash in storage containers in realms or on floor in a room in house then game won't pull them

Mickeys room is popular but like all realm storage. Very limited

Floors the best bet / in a kitchen maybe or a top floor room / name it so not forget
Amd expand to largest size helps

I think its because of the aperture and focus because when I did mine exactly like yours it made my picture blurry but when I removed aperature and turned down my focus to 4% It wasn't blurry.

Well as long as she has all characters unlocked realistically you can get the entire star path done in 1-2 days npc that is the hard one is Cinderella (newest character which is harder to unlock if it's a newer account) which may leave you w 3 undone task if you don't have or can't get to Cinderella in time. (Which you basically have to finish the whole game at least the forgotten story line to unlock Cinderella for those who dont know hence why its harder)

I just hope the Switch 2 version will match the PC version because I want to play the full game on the go. Some of us can’t take a PC with them. Frame rate is great improved on Switch 2, at least the fast travel part is almost instantly like PC.

I hope that the Switch 2 version is good, although I wouldn't count on it matching the PC. A Switch 2's hardware is roughly similar to a PS4 Pro.
Which is decent for handheld, but it's no Steamdeck.
(PS4 and XBone don't get the increased item limit like PC and next gen consoles, so I'm on the fence about predicting whether Switch 2 can have it, leaning toward no)

I start with my pathways first, then once I know what theme I’m going for I place down the houses that fit the theme, decorating lightly around them with fences and any decorations that make the area feel “cozy”

If the inventory doesn't change, that's a bug. I haven't experienced it myself, but I've seen others talk about it.

This issue is only so many items can take up the space. Like the ones down stairs are of some size. And the ones upstairs are another. After you have been buying items daily for a year, it seems to start giving less newer items. Others have seen this as well. Even when they go to shops in other dlcs

How to make night thorns stop spreading permanent?

I do get the feeling of clearing as many as I can at a time

Then I unlock biomes later, I feel so lazy to clear all these purple stuff all around the place even if they make the place look terrible

You can't permanently stop them from respawning however if you have or get the Rift in Time DLC you eventually unlock a vacuum that with upgrades can help collect them

They will continue appearing every day, but there is a maximum number that can be present. If you leave some around the edges or somewhere else less intrusive, you might be able to reach a point where new ones no longer appear.

No, they still continue after that. The Star Paths have tasks to remove Night Thorns, which would be impossible for most people if they didn't keep coming back.

Here are some neat tricks you can do to control your spawns
Very low Stick spawn control. You tech only need 5 trees in the forgotten lands and 5 in the forest remove trees from all other biomes to prevent more stick spawns (but using those 2 biomes for a decent spawn but only taking up 60 furniture spots total (10 trees 40 sticks)

Herbs and flower spawns can push these to the edge of the biome using lots and lots of pathway-i suggest using candy pathway as its a cheap/easy grind if you do this use plaza hedge tree bc it can go on pathways (or any tree that doesn't eat up pathways)
Everything on the beach can and will eventually spawn on that thin area near the stairs.

Using pathways will also prevent some but not all obstacles like thorns shards bones to spawn but this will also prevent obstacle chest to appear

So full biome pathways can have its pros and cons

I just forced my spawns into my builds only clearing out the pathways

If you're on any device besides Apple Arcade, it's an event that comes on with tasks to complete and rewards to earn. You unlock the higher level with Moonstones

Herbs are the only thing you cant control. Everything else can be forced to one area. Ive done it. Only 30 or so night thorns are wild. I gave up with it after 2 weeks of herding

@reef temple the general consensus with scrooges store is to buy everything. its in game money and buying it unlocks your ability to buy it from scrooge directly at any time. The Premium Shop is anything that calls to your heart. I know alot of people will reccommend anything that has visual interactions like fireworks, sparkles, balloons, butterflies, and thats mainly because those things get better votes in dreamsnaps.

Hey, welcome to the server! There are so many good things to look out for in Scrooge's Store. With premium shop items, i'd save your moonstones and use them primarily for the starpath. If you participate in weekly dreamsnaps and log in daily, it shouldn't be an issue as you can get at minimum around 750 free moonstones a week.

There are rare items in scrooge's store, like the inside out doors, some pergolas, and so on and i'd recommend checking out the wiki to see the full list of what's there.

Most things in the premium store are just for looks.
Maybe the only exception, one of the best things to get is the Max Companion Bundle. Dogs are the only animals that pick up wood, and all of those are in the premium shop -- and Max has a special ability to dig up the sparkling spots with Shards in them, too. He's the only one that does that. It's very useful.

If you get lucky, I would say Daisies blooming wardrobe in Scrooges is probably one of the most sort after items, particularly in early game. It's gives full 48 slot storage, not very expensive, and if you get that you will not need to use your precious resources making chests and can save them for quests. But just buy anything you like the look of. Clothing and wallpaper/flooring don't rotate once you have bought the item, but furniture can come back into store again (and does 🤣 ) after you've bought it.

Ye it took me a afternoon, evening and night to get it to that point 😂

Hardest part is to (re)move all tables with stuff so you can actually (re)build in the area's.

Its categorized a bit with farming stuff and trees in middle, fish and stuff from fishing in the blue (water) zone, mining stuff etc. ofcourse in the rock area. Flowers in flower garden and gems in fort/castle within safes.

Shoveling and picking stuff from ground together with bushfruits on the other side of farmstuff as well.

Luckily, even if you don't have any DLCs, there are free Floating Islands you can move huge (or ugly 🤭 ) houses to

So far there have been very few things that haven't come back around in either. It can take a while for the premium store, but especially with the introduction of the Recommended section and the Spotlight collection, there have been many more places to offer old items. You can pin up to two items if there's anything about a favorite character or ride that makes you go OMG I MUST HAVE and you can't afford it on the spot. You can also purchase moonstones for real money, but that way lies madness so if you go that route set yourself a limit and stick to it.

Since there's a new star path coming soon, it would be smart to save your stones to buy the premium path, which usually comes with loads of extra stuff

Getting Mini-Casita when I only had three biomes open was extremely daunting! You definitely do get more space, especially if you get Storybook Vale or Wishblossom Ranch, since those DLCs are notably HUGE

Keep your energy gold so there's a higher chance of the red explosions, and if you can make a mining potion, that will help a lot

I would wait as it can get overwhelming and villagers can start asking for dlc items as daily favourites which if you are waiting to finish the main game before playing the dlcs can be annoying

I'd argue that it'd be best to wait - Corban is correct that it would get overwhelming, and on top of that, they tend to go on sale during holiday periods

If nothing else, wait until you can get a tenner off if you're not gonna get the chance to play it anyway 😛
