You do not have to purchase the same expansions as owned on switch to move game data over. Every necessary file to play every part of the game, including the 3 expansions, are in everyone's downloaded game whether they own it or not. Purchasing the expansion just provides a license to play it on the platform its purchased on.

No, you do not. Expansion purchase is only necessary to visit the map. All other assets, including tool, npcs, ingredients, recipes, crafting materials, etc. are all fully accessible on the platform(s) that dont own the expansion.

@mental knoll and @timid pelican this is true (and i have the same split with my PC as main (that has all the DLCs) and my Switch only has the base)... but if someone wants to change to a new console as their main it makes sense for the new console to have all the DLCs... you won't be able to continue the storyline on the new console unless it has everything

I'm reading in the negative reviews how mechanics are limiting and stories are small for an expansion that was supposed to be bigger than the others.

honestly that's not a "patch" thing... yes the storyline is short compared to previous DLCs but they have introduced an entirely new mechanic with the horses, they've also introduced modular buildings as well and I personally think it's worth the money

so in Wishblossom for example they have a building blueprint for a gatehouse, then you can build and attach as many walls as you want before you build a corner, add some towers etc...

I get that! I was at that point at the beginning of the game when I had to catch up half a year since release.

I started to just hoard and collect everything. Fish, Materials, Flowers, etc. So I have a room full of chests with everything in it basically, so I can finish the quests pretty fast. I'm actually just rushing through them currently, it works pretty well. That way the quests alone don't take forever as well.

Get it! Like someone else said, those aren’t “patch” things. Those are things individuals are mad about and think they’re entitled to demand more for. It’s more disappointment in high expectations than anything “wrong”. It’s still a good DLC and the stuff you get is awesome to decorate with.

The horses are incredible to have id not hesitate again

My strategy:

I NEVER give the villagers any special role or try to fit the role to them or similar. Mine are always either mining or fishing buddies. (Some are gardening buddies).

So I usually just take them fishing or mining in rounds (I start in one biome and go around the whole valley) a few times. Give them their daily gifts. And in the worst case, I spam gift them unnecessary materials (I personally use vitalys crystals for that).

For me, I can lvl up a character to level 10 in about a day, usually I take on 2 characters at once (for example, Sadness is fishing buddy, Joy is mining) and I switch in between them, because I wouldn't like to fish for 5 hours or so.

I know WBR’s release was “tainted” with the initial fiasco of release (the special editions not being available immediately on some consoles so people bought the wrong ones) so there’s a buuunch of negativity. I, too wish it was longer and that there were more quests and I wish they had made a unique currency (like Dreamlight/Story Magic/so on) instead of recycling Dreamlight but those are just expectations I’d had that weren’t met but they’re not dealbreakers. I’m loving the horses, loving the designs, the map is interesting and enormous with crazy different themed biomes— like a fairy land and a “gothic” area both right outside of a winter alpine area, all so cool!

I wish that there’d been either a new currency system OR that the Dreamlight Duties in WBR counted towards the overall “Complete 1.1k duties” goal but as of right now, that one HAS to be completed in the base game and I find that to be silly.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Wishblossom Ranch. However, I feel like the storyline lacked depth in the same way as Storybook Vale and Eternity Isle. The areas are absolutely beautiful but there are still aspects that disappoint me - like not being able to fly with pegasus. he's kinda just running with wings flapping.

Again, I think those are expectations vs realities, not true issues. We can give feedback but not try to demand these things and definitely not actively try to discourage fellow players from getting it because of our personal preferences/expectations like what we see happening with WBR.

As someone with game development experience, I also think most of the unmet expectations are based in a lack of understanding of the limitations of game design and processing power.

Woah, yeah. This reminds me of the reviews on steam that I saw for the Tomb Raider remastered versions when they came out. I loveeeee Tomb Raider, have played since I was a kid.

And they were complaining MAINLY about the controls not being modern (even though you can decide if you want the tank or modernized controls in the settings.........). I was shocked, cause I grew up on the tank controls and never had a problem with it - I even opted to play with the tank controls in the remastered versions. And it was mostly people who haven't played the OG versions of the games.

What I wanna say is: I agree. People will leave a bad review on things and make it look bad just because it doesn't really fit their own style or preference. Without any mention that this may just be their personal view on it and not state it as a fact. (But then again, some people will sadly state their personal opinion as fact so..)

As someone who loves to play this style of game but has no education or knowledge of what it's like to make one, I have to say, I agree. However, only being able to fly like 3 times with Pegasus was a huge disappointment. It would've been nice for such a unique horse to have more substantial replayability in the expansion.

However, I do love the fact that we had Mulan join us on a quest with Khan. That was fun. Kristoff's little reference was fun too. But a sneaky part of me was also disappointed in the fact that we didn't get a surprise reference between Flynn, Maximus and Rapunzel like we did with Flynn and Rapunzel. I understand that was a personal hope but it would've been nice.

I agree - it's surely not a perfect DLC. And there will always be something someone will miss or dislike, which is just the way things are.
And everyone is entitled to their opinion and to state they do not like something.

it's just a different thing to down-talk a game (or anything, really) and making it look bad just because there are aspects one personally doesn't like (talking about those kind of reviews from people who say it's not worth the 30 bucks and people should not buy the dlc or so).

they dig the holes,plant the seeds, and water them. You need mist tho I use them to water them

The only mist you NEED to use them is creating them. You can manually dig the holes if you want though it only costs 10 mist per hole. As long as you keep planting you don't ever need to dig again. It can plant seeds but costs mist and I prefer to do that manually to help level up villagers and critters. Same reason I also harvest maually so I get the bonuses. The only thing I have them do it water the plants and that doesn't cost anything.

You can pick up anything that's on the ground in a certain biome - i.e. night thorns/inkies/splinters of fate, flowers, spices, dropped resources etc. etc. i find them useful for tidying up and gathering resources quickly.

Yes, you should do. I usually get a bunch of memories that burst from the vacuums whereas i found there were little to no morbs from ancient cookers and gardeners

the main time i was using mine was during the easter event when youre looking for small eggs hidden in your builds especially if you dont wanna flatten your entire valley. I just used 1 and moved it around

Guys imma tell you something SCARY that happened

See, yesterday before sleeping I played on the switch a bit and wanted to finally get Joy to lvl 10, she was lvl 9. So I spammed her gifts. All was fine, 1-2 gifts to level 10 left

And then the game closed, the switch stating that “the application was closed because an error occurred”. I thought the whole progress gift spamming to finally level 10 was gone, I was so mad and annoyed. And I feared I maybe broke my game even.

Glad to say, I just checked it an it thankfully stayed at the progress where the error occurred and all is fine. 😅😩

Yeah, considering how the Parisian statue is 100 wrought iron and I think the max I got out of chez mobile quests was 9 (I think?) it’s a looooong way to go 😩 but I’ve got to blame myself, I just started doing them daily a few days ago because I couldn’t bother to before, thought they were a whole lot more tedious.

@timid pelican yes, thankfully autosave kicked it. Usually I do save manually every now and then in between, but since I was spam gifting, I didn’t go out of the friendship UI (had I been on the PC I probably would have, but the switch is very slow and I really didn’t want to wait 20 seconds just to go out of the talking options, 20 seconds open menu, 20 seconds to save and 20 seconds go back into talking to joy lol) to do it, so thank god it did autosave.

Also yeah, furniture mode is especially the one thing where the game crashes for me too, no matter if on my PC, that can very well handle the game, or the switch. It’s a pain, you can’t decorate for more than 5 minutes without saving because the game is prone to crash otherwise 99/100 times. 🫠

I use the first floor of my main house as my storage room. It's a universal space that doesn't bug me if it's across several biomes/island and is accessible wherever i am (Except the islands.) unfortunately, this game is just that - time consuming and needs work input. You can try to rush it as best as you can, but a lot of things are also just pure luck. As minnie said, the fastest way to get dreamlight is to do the duties.

That's dreamlight valley for you tho, it's that kind of game.

It may seem alot but trust me its fast if do the tasks.

Look at your main menu. Click tab with dreamlight duties. Start there

You need 2000 to open

But id be doing as many as possible

Hang out with villagers. Grow carrots. Dig. Collect resources. Mine. Collect gems
Earn coins. Sell 50% and save rest just in case quest needs

As we told you in Help, the only way to play this game is to actually play it. Put in the work. There are no shortcuts. You can get help from others once you reach a certain point, but I wouldn't take advantage of people or you'll find yourself without help. Be judicious in your requests - this community is very helpful but there's a limit somewhere I'm sure. 🙂 You cannot download other people's worlds - Leshkee the mod already told you not to ask after other people's saves/games.

You can purchase expansions to gain access to Eternity Isle, Storybook Vale and Wishblossom Ranch. However, you cannot download other people's, if that's what you are asking. It is against the games ToS and in order to gain access to new areas, you have to follow the game as it is designed through purchasing the "keys" (i.e. expansions) that allow you access to these areas.

Yes, GL did actually learn and tweaked a few things for the better.

I was nevertheless able to rush it because of all the stuff I didn't need to collect or gather, which was quite helpful. Thank GOD there were no time-locked quests.

One thing did/does bother me tho and kept me from progressing faster - Joy, Sadness and Lumiere. Lumiere needing Joy at lvl 10, while Joy and Sadness alternate in needing each other to level in their respective friendship quests, phew. But now I just have to get Sadness to lvl 10 (she's currently lvl 8) and then her quest and I'm finally finished.

I am a gamer at heart, next to some streaming I do. So its in my blood kinda. And I actually let this server have another chance.
Last time I kinda got bullied away here by a toxic group ppl. Bullied may not be the right word.
But they were jealous of my positivity and joking behavior or something. They tried to put my jokes out of context etc. reporting me for nonsense/nothing. I decided to just walk away from that negativity.
Looks like they are all gone now, so thats good. MOD team did their job as well though. Was my decision to walk away before it escalated and ppl
getting banned, maybe they did afterwards cause they are no longer around but idk 😂

First of all, so sorry to hear that, Vert! And you’re right, since I’ve came back (even last year for a short time) things have changed in here. Some people I remember are not here anymore - not that they were the bullies, I just noticed that randomly.

I do also think that this server has become way better in terms of the way people interact with each other.

And sadly, I do understand what you mean. There were times where I, too, felt a bit ostracized or not kinda fully accepted because of the way I am (a clown by heart lol). Now I don’t get this feeling at all anymore, luckily. I am weird at times and I know that but nobody here has had a problem with it so far anymore.

I think you’re a great addition in this chat, I laugh quite a lot about stuff you say or send. (Like Willie forcing Homer to dig deeper, wider and faster )

Anna and Elsa find the shipwreck their parents passed in. They were using a map dated 1840 - so this is the approximate time period for when they would have left Arendelle.
Tarzan doesn't have a specific time placement that I'm aware of, but it's almost certainly in the 1880s.

This would mean that Tarzan would have to be in his 40s for the theory to fit - which is just clearly not the case.

Not just that, but there's also the fact that Arendelle is in the Northern Hemisphere. Tarzan takes place in Africa, with the shipwreck obviously landing the parents on the coast.
Obviously, the 'world map' is flexible in this context, but there's no real way that they end up in Africa.

Finally... they're just blatantly not the same people.
Compare a photo of Tarzan's parents to Iduna and Agnarr before their voyage.
We literally see what they were wearing and what they looked like - and it's not at all like Tarzan's parents

So, bottom line, they're definitely not siblings 😛
