Hello! Quick question before I write in the bug section but is there like a weekly limit rewards for survival guide (Anka game in network)? It usually gave 4x300 petty coins for easy mode and whatever you could do in challange mode but today gave only 120 petty and kept saying in system that the daily limit was reached and I would not get neither from the easy rounds nor challange ones. And PWG had no access to any information from players who didn't transfer, so they couldn't contact anyone to let them know.

Hmm...if you remember your ign, you can get a friend or something from EU region to check for your character. If they find it, they can give you the server name from that. If they can't find your character though, something went wrong during transfer. If that happens, there's nothing you can do sadly. It would've been deleted months ago 🙁

Hello! I played tof alot during its early days on Playstation 5 and now returning on the same device. I did see that the there was this "account transfer" but I also saw that it wasn't necessary for Playstation players. My problem is that I have absolutely no idea which server i played on. I have screenshot that include the uid of when I played but im not sure what to do it, please help!

Check the ps- servers (depending on region). The character name should appear ontop of it. But if it doesn't its a matter of signing into each until you find it.

If it has you create a character its a wrong server.

Unless you created multiple characters on different servers, you shouldnt even get to that screen without getting past character create.

you paid the past company (tencent) for stuff, then they decided to close the server. The current company (perfect world) allowed you to bring information about stuff that you bought and unlocked from the past company and give it to you for free in their new active server.
but there's nothing the current company can do if the past company already delete your account's information even if you then bring them the receipt, there's also nothing they can use to validate it.

They weren't able to. LI had all the data, that was the point of applying for a transfer, so that PWG could get the data. PWG had no data from anyone who didn't ask for a transfer. So even sending emails was impossible, they didn't have any account info before the transfer was authorised by the player. And at that point, LI couldn't care less, it wasn't their problem anymore. So they never sent any emails either

they're more or less the same client. the one that might be different is when you play on phone, downloading from different store might offer a more optimized version for your device (like downloading from galaxy store for samsung device)

Because they can't transfer your information to a different company without your permission. It is illegal to do so.
Even if they transfer all of the in-game character information, they have nothing to tie those character to anyone since all personal identification would need to be stripped out - that is including e-mail, financial transaction, and anything that can identify the owner of the account.
The transfer request is practically you made an account on the new server and then copy the character information from an account in the old server to your new account on the new server. They don't even know the e-mail you used on the old server.

Broadly speaking, all account bound to be deleted when any live service game reach end of service. and technically LI's ToF has been EoS since February.
legally speaking, you don't own anything, even your account is not yours, you just have the privilege to access it. publisher can revoke that privilege for any reason they mentioned in ToS. and they can also change the ToS whenever they deem it necessary.
it is the current nature of any live service model - not just tof. There's a push for right to continue offline play for live service game when it reaches eos, but that's another matter entirely.

I'm not sure if anyone has asked about this or had a similar issue, but here is my issue:
I have only ever played the Playstation version of ToF. I uninstalled the game awhile back during the Lyncis Banner. I recently just re-downloaded the game on PS5, but after it reaches the title screen, I notice it is showing a named server. I was on the old Playstation America Server 6. I change it there and check the settings, but it shows I don't have a character or anything. It should a UID of 00 with a Level 1 character. Is this normal? I don't want to try logging in if it will mess up my PS-only data. I do have a screenshot on my system that shows my Server and actual UID, though, if I need to contact support to retrieve my data.

Usually its cause you don't have enough space to have a 2nd copy of the game (some updates require a full extra install depending on the code they changed). It gets deleted after its updated, but still needs the space.

Of what I can find, it might be a source placement issue. The Window capture should be below all other sources. You also have to make sure that source is set to display. The only other solution I found was to add a new source with your Window and if using a camera feed with the stream, place that below this new window feed to get it to show on top of it. If you played on mobile or PC, yes. If you played on Playstation, that is the only account that didn't need transferred. So basically, it depends on if you mean when the PC/mobile version came out, or when the Playstation version came out. Since you mention 2022, though, that is likely PC/mobile. All of that data was wiped if it wasn't transferred before the 5.2 update

Without one, it seems your mouse is double-clicking {a mouse can get a problem where a single click is counted as doubleclicking as it ages and the clicker wears out} or a key might be depressed on the keyboard, which can happen without seeing signs of it elsewhere.

I had the same issue when I came back on PS5 after a break. It doesn't tell you what server you last logged in on or which servers already have character data. When I re-downloaded it after the 5.2 update, it set me on a whole new server on the title screen. I knew which region I was on and even found a screenshot I made that said what server I was on, so I set mine to that and it logged me back into my account. I am guessing that after the migration of PC and mobile to PWG server, the last login info was reset, if you hadn't played in awhile at least. The problem is, it doesn't even tell you a character is on a server in the user settings menu until you actually login. It says UID 00 with a level 1 account, even with data on that server. It only updates while in-game

What is your GPU and how much memory does it have? If it is integrated with the GPU, those are NOT good for gaming. The only thing you can do is lower the graphics settings as much as possible.

That shouldn't be an issue, then, so long as you have the settings set lower. If it keeps happening on lower settings, something in the background might be using your GPU, forcing it to run out of memory. Higher settings use more resources, and can even go above the recommended system requirements

Apps aren't the only things to watch out for with resource hogging. There are also processes. Material Quality set to extreme may have done it, though. That would probably best if you meet the recommended requirements. Your GPU is pretty far below those specs. After looking it up, most stats for the recommended GPU are 80-190% better then the GPU you have (110-190% if you take out raw FPS in certain games).

Unfortunately, minimum specs are just a baseline of the lowest possible on the lowest settings. Recommended Specs are those that will play fine, typically between the middle and upper tiers, but not at the upper tiers themselves. If the parts are all significantly above the recommended, they go basically go to an Ultra and Extreme quality for settings. When between the min and recommended you have to go between the lower and middle options for no issues, maybe some higher ones (but not the highest), with more settings set lower. I typically run any game on my PC reasonably well at 720p and no higher with a GTX750 Ti, 16GB RAM, and an Intel i5-4460, that is now about 10 years old. I typically have to use a lot of lower settings to get decent performance out of games, though. which sacrifices a lot of quality. That is one reason I prefer to game on console, since it is cheaper over longer periods of time without having to worry about PC specs

It looks like the game does allow you to adjust the resolution, but only in Windowed mode. To adjust the resolution for fullscreen mode, if it can't be adjusted from your GPU's control panel, you can adjust it by setting your computer's resolution to a lower one, though from your resolution, that wouldn't save much memory..

no. That is just a way to lower the resolution if you don't want to lower your computer's monitor resolution. It wouldn't have too much of an impact from 1280x1024 to 1280x720, anyway. With your current hardware, just lowering the quality of stuff, even if just slightly, should help, especially stuff on the higher settings. Also, in many games, shadows have a big impact on hardware performance, so turning that off (if it is on) can also help.

Did you ever log in on Playstation before the transfer was completed? After the transfer, the first time you log in on Playstation should bring up a window asking if you want to link an account. As long as you never logged in on that PSN account before attempting the link, you should be getting that window. It seems that if it was logged in before, you would have to make a new e-mail address, link that account to your existing PSN account and unbind PSN, restart and hopefully get the link window. Otherwise, you might need to contact support..

no. On PSN, you must have never logged in to the game before linking occurs. There is an option to choose Use PSN for your account, but that locks you out of linking a mobile/PC account that was migrated (you are also locked out of linking a mobile/PC account to a PSN account if you played on PSN before the data migration was even a thing). As long as your current PSN account has never logged in, it automatically pops up with a message to link your account via e-mail, which is required to login with old PC/mobile accounts. It also appears as though they disabled unlinking PSN accounts for now, at least.

Hey everyone. Reached Domain 9 yesterday and started getting a server error.

I was progressing through the quest. At the point after Yu Lan asks me to collect my timestamp I get a popup asking me:
"Enter the Timestamp Space?" I click on "OK" naturally but right after I get the following message:
"Failed to change scenario. Server is not yet ready"
What is going on? Any idea anyone?

Update: I was able to get back in after quitting the game and starting it up again. Not sure if it's a bug or what

it is sometimes happen depending on your connection to specific server.
take note that it doesn't mean that you have bad connection or the server have bad connection. but there might be some specific server that have specific bad connection to yours due to some problem in between the connection hop.
most of the time just waiting out will teleport you to the instance.

Is it the Lachesis event things? If so, you just accept them and go to Kalio to do them. They should be on your Quest Log after accepting them. If you aren't in Kalio yet, you can skip the story ahead to them if you want to do it.

If so, your data is still there, you just have to find the server your character is on, since after the 5.2 update, the last login info was wiped and it chooses a new recommended server. If you started on PC, did you do the transfer before the 5.2 update? If not, that data is gone now, whether you spent money or not. They gave a notice months in advance of that. If you did transfer, but didn't link it when you started on Playstation, you will need to make a new PSN account, since you cannot unlink a PSN account and you cannot link an existing account after already starting on Playstation without linking on first run.

It should be there if it was linked properly. You just have to manually select the server where your data is. Data is not shared with all the servers on each datacenter. They are locked to a single server. When you log in on a new device, it seems to not know what the last server was that was used, so it randomly selects a server that isn't busy. To find your data, you would have to check each server, if you don't know which one had your data or can't chak on an existing device.

You'll have access to some really strong weapons almost immediately, so it's definitely worth starting over. So many weapons have been added to standard in the last year. If you can get lucky and pull Brevey, Mimi, Zeke, Liu Huo, etc, you're set for a while. Then can wait for altered banner to complete multiple teams at once ^^

Did you spend money? If not, you might consider restarting. Alot of newer more powerful weapons are in the standard banner and there's lots of help with leveling up and gear to Assist new accounts in becoming stronger. So you'd have a much better account than the lost one in a much shorter period of time. It's up to you whether you want to give it another try or not though

If you were on PC/mobile and didn't transfer your account by April 2025, your data is gone and cannot be recovered. As with any game that transfers publishers, they need the user's permission to transfer data to the new publisher and these transfer windows are always limited. In this case, it was Level Infinite to Perfect World Games.

You should be able to run the uninstaller for the standalone game launcher from the directory it is installed in that isn't in your Steam library. There might be two listings in your PC's Add/Remove Programs/apps. If there is a standalone version install in your computer's start menu, you can also right click it and choose to uninstall from there.

It sounds like explorer.exe isn't launching, which is basically the desktop. If explorer.exe isn't working, a complete OS re-install should fix it, so long as it wasn't caused by a virus. Can you use Windows key+r? It also depends on the OS.

If it just stays black and you can access the Run command, it is definitely something wrong with the explorer executable, though there might be a separate one for Metro on Windows 8. If it is just corruption, re-installing the OS would fix it. You could also just see if you can run Windows 10 or 11 on it. If you already have a computer with Windows 10 or 11 and use a Microsoft account or it, you can install Windows 10 or 11 on any PC and log in with that account to get a license for the OS on that device for no additional charge. You can also use them indefinitely for free, with visual watermarks.

So Windows key+r doesn't work? The only other thing to try would be Ctrl+Alt+Del and see if you can access the Task Manager. If you can, try starting explorer.exe from there. or you can run CMD as an admin and run sfc/scannow. Otheriwse, if you have a repair partition, you can go to shutdown the computer on the login screen, but instead of shutting it down, bring up the menu of options, hold Shift, and click restart. Then, you should be able to access the Troubleshooting options and perform a startup repair.

Basic office work would be fine, but things like games just require different type of drivers so they tend to stop working if its too old. Even some websites probably act up on older computers like that.

There's nothing to recover sadly. All accounts that weren't transferred were deleted months ago by Level Infinite 🙁

Unfortunately, there was a window to transfer. If it was missed, it is 100% impossible to recover the data and you would have to start over. The reason being that when a new company takes over for any kind of online service, they need to get permission from an account owner to transfer data to the new operator. If this isn't done before data is deleted, the data is gone for good and not transferred. It is a standard privacy safety practice that all companies are required to do.

Since you mentioned needing the machine / using it for school, having two months of projects {work} on the disk. I'd recommend not attempting a reinstall. I'd personally replace the disk and install to a fresh drive, so that you can attempt to copy over and recover data from the old (or of course the new system).

-- Though it's probably just a case of corruption. Question is why the OS became corrupt, flukes happen -- yet when a failure occurs and you 'need' stability, you should always consider hardware fault. Assuming no difference if you F8 boot into safe-mode (per Explorer)?

If you've not tried a safe-mode boot, that's the first thing I'd do. Sometimes Explorer starts and immediately stops due to a misbehaving shell extension or some other custom component. If you get a desktop in safemode, then that opens up more options.

You can remove the disk from the old PC, get a USB enclosure, and connect the old drive to the new system. Then, assuming it's not catastrophic (disk failure) -- get any file(s) off the old-disk that aren't damaged.

You'll need to open up the old machine and figure out what type of disk it has in there {since it's a Windows 8 machine, probably "SATA"}, so that you can pick an appropriate enclosure for it.

Another option is to take a USB Thumb-Drive, load a Linux distro onto it. Boot the old system into a recovery environment (e.g, Linux or WinPE), then copy the files off to an external disk, the thumb-drive, or a cloud-drive.

Since you are getting a laptop, yeah, that will likely be the best option (hard drive enclosure). If it was a PC tower, there could potentially be an extra slot to put the hard drive in directly to the new system. Linux would be the best otherwise and it can be run from either a CD or USB Drive (if the computer has 2 or more free USB slots for the latter). Having the ability to connect the old drive directly would be the most convenient, though.

Technically, you can re-install (or upgrade re-install a newer version) Windows without losing any data. You would just have to re-install any apps and make sure to do an in=place upgrade or choose the option to install without deleting data.

Indeed you can, but I wouldn't do an upgrade install (install over) on the disk containing the only copy of data if there's any chance that the disk is going. Or rather, use of the disk can potentially push it over the edge if it's on the way out.

Mostly, first priority should be preserving those school projects.

yeah, it was only announced on social media and in-game. They never sent e-mails about it. However, it is worth noting that the transfer was only for PC and mobile. Those on Playstation were unaffected by the account transfer. It is also unfortunate that eventually the game will close completely and all money spent on it will have been for nothing. That is one reason a lot of people refuse to spend money on free2play games.

i bought a new pc, and my old pc came to life (it was an OS issue, the explorer.exe stopped working)

but a weird program appeared on my old pc and it's making the desktop look all weird, it's called Cairo desktop
and both of the pcs were brought over to a family friend who's an IT guy and he's going to take everything from the old pc and put it into the new one, and I'm scared this program will get dragged over too and i won't know how to remove it

so what is Cairo desktop and how do i get rid of it

If it is the actual cairo desktop, then that's a windows shell replacement. Think of it as a mod for your windows gui (themes, taskbar, etc) so you can customize it more.
You can uninstall it just like other program, but you need to make sure it is stopped first. you can do it by either stopping it from the task manager, or disable it from auto start/auto-run when windows started.
if you're unsure, just tell the it guy to uninstall it. it shouldn't take too much effort.

Nope, All Mail has never included spam for any e-mail provider. It is always a separate mail inbox so they can block links and images to prevent tracking just by opening the e-mail if it is suspected to be phishing or malicious in any way. E-mails typically get marked as spam if the e-mail server that sent it has been sending a lot of automated e-mails, which is common for something like verification codes.

The thing I linked on top is what I mean. I had a few people who had to either take away a capital letter or add one or two.

The guy on top normally did tornjeans but tried TornJeans and it worked.

I'm actually having a similar problem right now. I had to delete and reinstall the game as it was refusing to update properly. I log into my PWG account through my Gmail account, and it shows that I have my character, DUCK-3076, in Sol-III. But when I try to play the game, it starts me from the beginning and wants me to make a new character. I wonder if something about connecting to your account properly is broken right now? Clearly my character still exists...

Okay, as I've discovered, you do just have to log out and log back in over and over again (I switched back and forth between logging in via Gmail and logging in via email) and eventually it just decided to actually work

So brute-forcing it seems to fix it lol

Then your old account is gone. Any that weren't transferred were deleted months ago by the old publisher. No permission to transfer, no account

Too late, the transfer ended back in April this year. All accounts that weren't authorized for the transfer has been deleted by the old publisher.

@pseudo gardenDid you actually try loading into the server? If you check from the login screen, it won't show an active character. You have to actually load in on the server for it to show and it will only show while you are logged in. I don't know how they broke it like that, though.

I know i was playing on Futuria server in Europe, and i'm certain from verification emails from 2022 that this is the correct account, but when i launched the game it launched the tutorial. i also know problem, when you logging with your mail, and you getting fresh new account, for some reason, i fixed it, by deleting devices in account from another device/another game client
