Mhm! Switch account button is frozen and does absolutely nothing. Can't enter the game either, assumedly cuz I'm on a ghost account (?). I want to login to my account but I don't even get the login prompt to do so. Can't find out where to login from launcher either?

This is really infuriating.. been trying to play the game for 2 days, swapped over from steam to Windows version just to think finally hey it works, and now bam I get the same error. I can't just reinstall 100 gigabytes everytime that I want to play man.

I don't know how an Antivirus would interfere with the Switch Account button and a lack of Login prompt, especially when I get the login prompt for the first time I want to login after a fresh reinstall ; but regardless I'll add the exes and such as Exception and see if that works

Did you take any screenshots in game? It would be on the bottom of the picture. If not, you can give your IGN and someone can check to see if it was successfully transferred and what server it's on. Also need the region to do this

There's an easy way to check whether you transferred your account successfully or not, log in to the "top-up" section of the official site and make sure your character name shows up.

The page should looks like this if nothing goes wrong.

Perfect World can not use your data without your permission, so we have to do the transfer procedure.

I didn't play with it much, at most the stuff I got from pre-registration would have been a bit of an advantage

first of all, because the controller button assignment was terrible and you couldn't control anything else than the character, e.g. you couldn't move the controller in the menu in any way

Unfortunately, there are currently no fixes for the stuttering and frame drops on the player's end. There's nothing we can do but wait patiently. I assume Hotta will release another patch to address this issue in a few days.

after having constant crashes in my steam version i uninstalled it and installed a fresh copy using the standalone client and the game still crashes all the time. this only started happening a couple of updates ago. maybe since v5.0

sometimes it will crash righ after the Hotta splashscreen and other times as it is loading the server. and then just randomly during a game

Hello all, Character Transfer/Not finding my char problems, would appreciate the help.
I did the account transfer on thr 19th April, so still in time, and I got the confirmation e-mail, I did not note down what the Perfect World UID was that was shown there.
I decided I wanted to play today, downloaded and logged in via google, where I didnt find my char.
Then I googled and saw you have to login with E-mail and go from there, I dont know if I changed between my 2 e-mails for the transfer but one of them should be it.
I trield logging into both E-mails via the E-mail login and didn't find my character on either of them on the Server I played before (Nightfall) and also tested roughly half of the others. (just went straight to the intro/make your char cinematic)
Does anyone have any pointers on what to do?

I assume you are playing on PC, if you run the game for the first time after installation, there may be a windows firewall notice or UAC control window popup at background (Not every device have this though). You have to click approve/OK/Yes manually to proceed or you'll be blocked by your own internet firewall.

Perfect World, as a different company can not use database from Level Infinite directly without user's permission,

RegisterSuspendResumeNotification was introduced in Windows 8, so it sounds like it's not in this case. There were issues with the ingame store {embedded browser} far back during the introduction of Vera (2.0). Though I've not checked in a long time of course.

Best bet would be upgrading to at least Windows 10. Though Windows 10 original EOL was end of the year this-year {not counting extended support for businesses}, so you might want to consider moving up to 11 if hardware permits. If you lack TPM, then Windows 10 is the best officially supported option.

It's an unfortunate inevitability. The userbase of Windows 7 has been in decline for some time, and even if a game company states that a game is supported -- there's no support for the platform, drivers for modern hardware, and so on.

Steam for example itself I don't think even has Windows 7 support at this point, despite the Steam Store listing the game as supported on Windows 7.

• have you tried to log in on a different device? Does it work?
• Is your game on ssd or hdd? (It loads faster on ssd)

As I know from my experience (I used to play on an old laptop), this problem relates to the computer's power

Also, I do not recommend sharing your account info with random people, even if they are server or in game moderators. It would be better to either ask close friends or try logging in from another device yourself

try using vpn (or just try playing on mobile tethered connection to test - provided that your mobile network is different than your pc/wifi network).
I experience it quite a lot of time before (along with lagging when entering instance but suddenly normal again after exiting it) and I found it more of a connection fail between your ISP with server (so, your ISP connection is good, server is also good, but the routing between those two is janky somewhere).

There is a difference between old players who have been playing for almost three years and old players who have been playing for less than or just over a month on the release

If players have lost their first (~3yo) account, then the game will not help to restore it completely. And if players have lost their second (small) account, then that's what I was talking about. PWG developers have shortened the ToF story (at least in Aesperia) and added a lot of good events that will help new players get back to where they left off faster now

If you search for the char’s name in the friends add, they will only show up if they have been transferred

so, either ask someone on your region to check for you, or make a dummy acct (new login) and check yourself

Added these lines in engine.ini, at the end of the file. Everything probably isn't necessary to fix the stuttering, but it worked for me as it is so I'm not fussed about figuring out which ones actually help the most:

check your laptop's cpu information, some older cpu could only support up to 16GB. I use 4GB and 8GB on my old intel 5th gen laptop because of that.
also, theoretically they can work together as long as it can fit in, but different ram speed (speed not memory size) could bring some system instability.

check your network usage speed when it happened. usually it would constantly download at around 100KBps when it is happened to me. if everything normal then it is just 4-20KBps.
if that is happened to you also, then it is indeed a network problem somewhere. I won't deny that it is possibly partly the game spaghetti code for not detecting the network error and keep retrying the same thing instead of doing something else to fix it
