Well I'm on PC and the game was working like a day ago but today it just stopped completely

but my antivirus is the default Windows 11 one
no record about windows defender quarantine TOF game file or mark them as virus / malware.
if the game file located on HDD storage, defrag the HDD, no need if SSD.
this also have probability of broken shader cache.
delete shader cache of your gpu, depend on the brand and model, have to google it yourself.
if you are on steam, delete steam shader cache via steam setting.
also delete windows directx shader cache via disk clean up, open explorer -> right click on C: -> properties -> disk clean up

Anybody know why a fairly new (1 year old) iPad would constantly be crashing? Returning player trying to play with a friend and his iPad just continues to crash. Tons of stuff online, but no straight forward answer on a fix...anybody have any suggestions? Already reinstalled, twice.

If that's not caused by Insider Beta drivers, it can also be caused by older drivers triggering an update hold.

can try with restarting your wifi router.
if that won't work, have to change isp, use your mobile data or try using other wifi network.
or contact the isp, maybe they are under maintenance or something.

To clarify on VPN's {assuming that a reset of all Internet Equipment doesn't help}, we can't condone their usage. Use of VPN's or proxies are prohibited for any purpose under clause {s} of Player-Conduct (Section 7) of the game's user-agreement {with the exception of if Customer Support instructs you to use one}
The recommendation is to contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and Tower of Fantasy's support in tandem.
You'll want to both #game-support and additionally contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider). In the case of the ISP, you'd want to provide a description of the services that you're having issues with (Tower of Fantasy), and the region that you're having issues connecting to the worlds within. Per Tower of Fantasy's support, you'll want to provide them with details on your ISP, your 'WAN' address (address "as seen from the Internet", such as via any whatismyip website), and where you hail from regionally. It's also a good idea to include a timeframe of when the problem first cropped up. {especially if you find that this is something intermittent that comes and goes}

If the trackpad is responding again after a Windows Update, does this mean that the keyboard is also functional again (in BIOS)? You mentioned before that the keyboard was no longer functioning at all, and before the OS loaded.
If there's any chance that it's a software problem, my recommendation would be to produce a USB bootable media for a Linux distro and seeing if you can use the touchpad. OR, booting into the Windows Installer again and seeing if it works.
Basically, a minimalist WinPE bootable, or Linux bootable media, to check for functionality and rule out the potential of software. Though I'm semi doubtful on this due to your description of that you did a full OS reinstall and the problem persisted prior.
You'll likely need the help of the manufacturer still.

There's alot of details on Reddit and other platforms that are assumptions / supposition. The best that we can say from a "definitive stance" is to monitor official-news sources (e.g, announcements from the game's feed in the launcher, on the Discord, etc) per the future of Tower of Fantasy.
Put another way, what I believe you're reading about is not from an official news source.
Thanks for the reply. I have been finding some Reddit posts here and there which is what made me question it. There's people discussing (as of yesterday) a server merge on PS5 happening on Tuesday.
So I just bought the "random tamed vehicle box" and it gave me a mount I already have (same color). I don't think thats supposed to happen? Is there anything I can do about that? Or is it just sitting in my inventory forever now and I spent that 90k on nothing :(

According to some Readings on Reddit it seems Like a random Programm causes a conflict with this anti Cheat but its a fresh PC with a amd chipset and GPU?
unless you're the one who installed the OS, bought PC most likely come preinstalled from the vendor with multiple extra apps.
or the pc is using mouse/keyboard software helper which can conflict with the game.

You mentioned a fresh Windows Installation. Is that with an old install media?
Could you check which version of Windows is installed specifically? For instance, if it's Windows 11, make sure that you're on newer than 21H2.
Most of the anti-cheat BSOD's were resolved with the next feature update. e.g, specific to 21H2. If it's a prebuilt, or an install that you've done on a barebone, my best guess would be that you just need to force Windows Update to go through all update cycles -- and that'll probably clear up the crashes.
Anyway, if you're on the latest build of Windows, please shoot me a DM. I'd like to collect a BSOD minidump from you.
I have the latest Windows 10 Update. I installed Windows myself to get rid of the bloat and installed all drivers so its completly Clean and only has amd Software

it's only for english for some reason
- the standard launcher downloader for unknown reason can stuck during disk allocation, specially on limited space ( you'll need more extra space then 80 gb during this large patch since the game size literally double during disk allocation. )
- if you are using normal HDD for game storage, defrag it, no need if SSD.
- bind your account to steam and re-download the game via steam, better download size ( compression ) and disk allocation process.

Just to give an update on the downloads. (not specifically directed at "Perhaps" here, given we're chatting in DM's)
Please make sure that you check the Windows Task Manager if your download appears stalled. Not just network traffic, yet also Disk IO and CPU utilization by the launcher processes. If there's any sign of life in the Task Manager, consider waiting longer. {The launcher status can be inaccurate or misleading, where the launcher is actually active patching the game / yet not updating visually} Outside of this, the other common causes are having a corrupt installation, or connection issues. Resetting all Internet Equipment is a good idea as always.
If all else fails, and if there's no activity (at all) visible on the device, in the worst case a reinstallation might be needed.
Before doing anything drastic of that nature, make sure that you've already reset all equipment involved with Internet Connectivity. (CPE / modem, router, switches)
The CPU and memory usage are changing but a really small change is happening like 0.1% or something like that and the disk usage goes between 0MB/s and 0.1MB/s so should i wait or will it be pointless?
What's the longest that you've waited on the launcher so far? I'd consider it worth trying to wait 30+ minutes after doing a full reset of all Internet Equipment.
CPU usage wise, likely this is on the connection side.

If there's high CPU utilization, or disk IO, the launcher could be busy patching.
Doesn't sound there is -- yet the launcher isn't great at giving a status (unfortunately) of what it's doing.

Anyway, the launcher may appear stuck, yet actively be doing something in the background in incremental chunks. The launcher tends to download assets, then apply assets, download more, apply them, in an incremental fashion.
At each tier, it may appear frozen (doing nothing), hence it's a good idea to give a bit of time. Especially if the game is on an HDD, or the system is a bit older.
do i keep doing my thing in the background while the launcher is installing the update? or will it disrupt the installation?
It should be safe to keep using the machine, so long as there's no risk that what you're doing could cause the system to hang.

And that's purely with respect that if the launcher crashes during the update process, you might need to do a fresh install.

That depends. Steam is a very mature platform though, and very well tested with respect to download resume, and recovery.
If you have connection issues routinely, then switching to something like Steam is not a bad idea.
You also are getting a different set of CDN servers to acquire the game assets from.
So -- say that your speeds are low with the standalone launcher, they "might" be higher via Valve's servers.

With that respect, that's what I meant by that Steam is a very mature (well tested) platform for acquiring games.
Any set of problems that you encounter with the Standalone Launcher, probably won't exist with the other platforms. They're entirely separate, where the launcher variants on those platforms are not responsible for attaining the game, or updating the game data.
e.g, if you use Steam -- then Steam handles the downloads, entirely. Same per Epic Games.

If you've a fast connection, and unlimited quota, then a reinstall may be faster than waiting. "or" changing distribution platforms.
If the status is completely nil for activity, then there's likely not much incentive to continued waiting. Mostly if you see large CPU / IO spikes.

Very easy, since the Steam launcher supports the Standalone launcher's sign-in types.
Just remember to sign in the first time as you normally do:
-- Use your existing sign-in method, the first time. (don't use the Steam login icon)
-- Enter the Account Center from the Steam Launcher.
-- Select to bind your Steam Account.
Afterwards you can sign out, and log in via Steam.

Yes, if you sign in via your current login, and your Steam Account is bound -- then "Steam" will reflect this under the Account Center.
Similarly, if you signed in "on Steam", you would see your other login methods in the Account Center listed as bound.

So basically, Account Center status as the indication. If there's no bindings, then that's a fresh account that's not been associated to others.
Ideally, check from your old login method though. [to avoid mistakes]
If you log into the game {start the client}, that act will generate a new account and bind / associate it on the Steam Account. Once bound to an account, it {Steam Account} can't be bound to another game-account.

usually, that's a connection problem, there's something wrong between your isp and the server, it's unstable.
restart your modem / router.
then try again, if still fail, change dns setting at your windows network adapter setting to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 ( google / cloudflare ).

Ah, if it's a fresh install, and it's "stuck" at the update phase. My recommendation would be to just abort the install and restart.

aka, there's nothing significantly lost at this stage.
An install usually takes 30 minutes roughly on a modern machine.
Clarification: By abort the install, I mean to simply boot from the install media, wipe the drive, and install fresh. Not to attempt an upgrade install-- (this has the minimal chance of issues / should go smoothly).

For ToF account retrievals, whats the typical time for a follow up from CS?

Unfortunately can't give a real estimate on that one. However, if you were able to provide all information needed in the form, and there's minimal followups needed (back and forths with support), I've spoken to people who have both recovered or located accounts within a week.
Bear in mind that there may be multiple followups if more information is needed, so this is very variable. Support always responds, and responses could be same day, or take longer. They're serviced as fast as possible in the order that they're received.
Either way, fret not. Support will help you, no matter what happened to that account. In the meantime, the recommendation would be to continue trying whatever login credentials that you might've used. 2 years is a very long period of time.
If there's a chance that you used Google, make sure that you're both trying Google as "plain old email" (gmail) and via the external Google sign-in provider.

Because when I returned to playing this game after being away for a few months, I had the items acquired from a pass removed from my account and I had to restart the game from scratch as if I had never purchased the game pass. Could anyone tell me something about.
Since this sounds like a billing dispute from the description, you'll need to #game-support and get an investigation going into what happened to your purchases.
-- Unless by restarting from scratch you mean that your characters are missing, and not just the removal of goods. If you restarted as if you never created a character, there's a chance that you're simply not on your main account.
If your character is missing (completely), make sure that you double check the sign-in method and also world / region from within the game itself.
A common mistake is for instance to be on a Google account, and to either sign in via gmail (plain old email) instead of Google via the external sign-in provider, or vice versa.
Like this, because I installed the game I had today and updated via email, the game came to zero but I had several characters before, this is normal.
Ah, if there's nothing on the account (at all), odds are that you're not dealing with a billing dispute- double check all credentials / make sure you're on the right account, server / world, region, etc.
Wiping of accounts is not-normal (even from years of inactivity), and not something you'd expect to see.
Understandable. Either way, if you're certain you're on the right account, with the same method of sign-in as before, then do shoot support a message. They'll help you out in regaining access / figuring out what's happened.
If there's any chance that you're not, even if you're very sure far as the sign-in process goes, I'd still recommend trying all other accounts that might've been used. This is often faster than waiting on a response from support.

If it is, make sure you try the "Google" icon at the bottom of the launcher in addition to the account email and password form. Short of that, Customer Support would be the best shot then.

I have 58 videos on YouTube of the game I wanted to make more videos of this game I only stopped playing at the time because my PC was having problems now with a new PC I was hoping to start making videos of the game again.
Fortunately, you mentioned a lot of things in your favor. (video content / a record, having paid in the past [meaning there's bank transactions you can lookup], having passed password recovery, etc) Proving ownership should be no problem in your case whenever you're dealing with support.
Do you happen to remember if Vera (2.0) had launched by the point that you took a leave from the game? Reason for this question is that the game's account binding system changed with the release of Vera. Post Vera, the ability to unbind, rebind, game-accounts became much more difficult. {required going through support and human interaction}
Seeing as you had to recover the password, it's far more likely that you're on the right account. Looking at your messages {including the video you attempted to link}, it seems that a year has passed -- making pre-Vera possible. (back when account hijacks were more possible)
Regardless, rest assured that whatever the reason here: Customer Support should be able to get your account back.

Hello, I just have a few questions, hopefully someone can help clear this up.
My friend and her sister share a device to log in to separate accounts (one via steam, and one via email), is there risk that there are issues in doing this please? Her sister set up her account on a different device originally, which now doesn't work to play the game as it's an older laptop.
Also, would this be flagged if purchases are made on both accounts via the one Steam account also please?
Secondly, if my friend (who is in a different country to me), gets busy with things irl and can't log in, would I be allowed to log into her account to claim dailies, do events, etc, as long as no purchases are made?

If Steam detects any problem with the assets during an update, then Steam transitions from updating into re-acquiring all assets {repairs}. Most likely something went wrong in this case.
Sadly there's no way to go back to updating, and you'll likely need to reacquire the game.

There's no rule in the user-agreement against a single device being used by two people (aka, the family example). However, there are rules against account sharing. e.g, you cannot access your friend's account / play on their characters for any purpose.

Usually it is, or rather Steam is usually better at handling network errors or other factors that come up. It always will restore the game to functional, but sometimes things go awry even with Steam.
If it randomly happens once in a blue moon, I wouldn't get too concerned. Yet if that continues to happen, that may be something to investigate if there's any hardware issue causing corruption.
Usual suspects would be memory, the disk, or any overclock -- if the machine is overclocked.

Ah, used a laptop to acquire the game remotely. Another thing you can do is backup the entire game.
Steam actually has a feature built in to do this.
With a backup, if something like this happened, you could restore the backup and retry updates.
Course -- that's a hindsight kindof thing and not helpful right now.

Most software distribution services sadly keep both a working copy, and the acquired assets {the download, till applied}. Which inflates the requirements a lot. I'll admit it's deceptive in that this could in theory double the diskspace required for a game.

All you'll need to do is add exclusions for Advanced Threat Defense as detailed in there, and the crashes should stop.
In jist, whenever Bitdefender's hooks for its behavioral heuristics are installed, they cause a memory alignment issue with writes, which lead to a crash.
The injection is delayed, which is why the crash isn't instantaneous.

Hello, I’m a new player having multiple problems trying to play the Mobile Tower of Fantasy.
At first, I was able to play the introduction quest after three small crashes happened for no reason. Three more crashes happened because i tapped the button to open my mail and menu. No other app is running. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it redirected me to another server in Southeast Asia as I pressed play. I went back to the original server I had started in and it would crash as I try to go back in to continue my progress. Now the same is happening for the second server. I try again on a third different server and it crashes as soon as the Wanderer reaches the point where he wakes up in the starting village. Be aware that the AppData folder is hidden by default, and cannot be navigated to by hand. You can get to such a path directly in entering it manually within Windows Explorer (in the top path-field of the dialog), from the run-prompt, etc. For example:

Update: Intel HD 510 on latest (legacy) drivers offered. Game would not start under DirectX 12 due to missing feature-sets. Display Drivers would crash under DirectX 11 immediately on startup. -- Increasing TDR (timeout) from 2-sec to 10-sec resolved the startup crashes.

Accounts are never deleted for inactivity. The only situation this happens in is if it's explicitly requested by the player.
The most common scenario that comes up is people who played on a "Google" account long ago and don't necessarily recall if they used the account as "gmail" (plain old email) or "Google" via the external OAuth Sign-In Provider. If you happened to use Google, double check that you're trying sign-in both via Google and GMail. You'll also want to double check that the proper world / region is selected within the client.
If you wind up trying every account and every sign-in provider that you can think of, you're on the right world / server, and you believe that you're on the right account. The recourse at that point is to #game-support to get an investigation going into what happened to your account. Either in locating the right credentials, or for recovery.
That said, do you remember if you last played "pre Vera"? (2.0)
The reason for this question is that the account binding system was radically changed post 2.0's launch to require human interaction to unbind a sign-in method. If you played post Vera, the odds of account theft (transfer) to a new sign-in method is much lower. {which makes it far more likely to be a credential issue vs needing an actual recovery}
Surprising to happen on a Pixel, since Google is directly handling the updates and the hardware. If it persists, that's a bleeding edge phone- I'd take it in for a store to inspect or potentially replace.
Or rather, you probably get into recovery and break out of the boot loop with a micro-jig or holding down keys. Yet you shouldn't have to do that with a new phone either.

If it was pre Vera, there's a possibility (though still slim) of account theft and unbinding by an attacker.
Either way, best bet is to get an investigation rolling.
Far as your initial question of if someone can assist you-- the answer on that is "yes". Support can both locate the account if the credentials are wrong, and recover the account if something more malicious happened.
Be aware that this will take time though, and that you'll need to prove ownership of the account. So preemptively you'll want to start collecting everything that you can such as UID's of characters, the worlds that you had characters on, which accounts (social media) that you think you had bound (e.g, Facebook).
Any bank transaction records for purchases that you can find, etc.
The more information, the better off you'll be.

If you were to log into an account and 'see' bindings this makes it more likely that you're on the right account, even if you can't find a character on a world.

So it's not easy to really know what's going on there.
Anyway, recommendation is to get that ticket open.

Received, and advice sent back per how to address this. In jist: 5600GT (integrated graphics), OpenCL ICD is missing and the game is closing whenever playing the opening splash due to the inability to load the video decoder.
Most likely you just need a clean install of the latest drivers. The question would be how your drivers were updated, such as if this was through Windows Update, or direct from AMD's website.
-- I do note that AMD's website and driver finder doesn't list drivers for the 5600GT {it's quite new}. The under the hood architecture is the same as the 5600G, so I expect these to work.
Far as the rewards not registering, for this you'll need to #game-support to get an investigation going. In any situation where you believe you did not receive what you purchased, Customer Support will get to the bottom of what went wrong, and get you what you're owed assuming something did.

There's two common causes for what you're describing:
-- Performance (that the client is taking long enough to load into the game that the server is timing out the connection)
-- Connection (routing issues or otherwise)
I assume that you're not receiving any popup stating that connection is explicitly lost or that you're being disconnected, right?
How long (if you had to estimate), would you say that the loading screens are? For instance, is this measured in minutes or seconds?
If the screen is stuck for minutes at 90%, followed by an ejection back to the server select -- it tends to be more on the performance side, e.g.

Anyway, for 5 minute load times, "usually" the cause (in my experience) tends to be being borderline on memory, combined with a slow mechanical drive housing the game. If the game is moved to an SSD, that tends to be enough to at least get into the game.
If memory is borderline, ideally more RAM should be added though (if it's not motherboard soldered in a laptop / is upgradeable). e.g, if Windows has enough memory for disk caching, then usually the game can load from a slower HDD [without relocating it].
Either way, do you know if the machine has 8GB of RAM?
8GB is enough for Tower of Fantasy, yet only when the other requirements are met such as having a discrete Graphics Card. If an IGP (integrated graphics) is present and sharing system RAM, that can make things a bit too tight and cause disk swapping.

-- Since you're on mobile, try increasing the ingame graphics settings to the maximum (temporarily) and see if the furnace appears. If it still won't load-in, then the other common cause of what you're seeing is game-asset corruption. A reinstall may be needed to get it to appear.
I've not had a support exchange in quite awhile, yet the way that I recall the ingame system working is that responses are handled by navigating back to the Support Center and going through the forms as you did when initiating contact. That the conversation thread (to this point) would be shown, and that instead of posting a new ticket, you'd contextually be able to respond instead {if a support ticket is active in the system}.

although a bit of warning with your spec, 8 GB RAM will bottle neck the game and might crash at some point once your character start having large library of items ( which is inevitable ). BTW, is that a laptop ? might have further performance issue with RAM bottle neck.

If you're having any issues finding the log / dump folders, note that the AppData folder is a "hidden folder" by default. It'd be best to copy paste the folder path either into Windows Explorer (file browser), or into a run prompt rather than hand navigation.

Update: At least on the system that still had the game installed through Steam, the problem was that libcef was missing. A file verify through Steam got the game back loading.
Hey guys, do someone use AMD rx 7800 xt?
I've used a 6800 XT (as well as a 7600M and 6800M) with the game. What type of an issue are you running into specifically?
If the question is just on general compatibility, AMD hardware runs extremely well with the game [isn't expected to have any defects] -- the only thing that's lacking is an enhanced upscaler / frame generation like DLSS, which can make raytracing in Mirroria problematic at very high resolutions.
I had a rx6700 non xt and had not issues, recently I got a 7800 xt but I am getting a high frame drops from 120 to 50 or 60. I am using adrenaline software for drivers
Not sure if there is an ideal configiration from adrenaline side to make the game eun smoothly
I got a laptop with an gtx 1650 and the game runs perfectly too, so my issue is only with the 7800 one
Brief drops in performance that pick back up? e.g, stuttering that reduces the framerate?
Main thing that I can think of offhand is that changing cards / reinstalling drivers wiped shader cache. Some initial stuttering would be expected, yet that shouldn't last. The 7800XT is a much more powerful card all around.
Far as within the Adrenaline CP (settings), the stock / defaults should be fine.
I already cleaned shader cache. I am thinking about fresh installing everything
DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller), and a clean install is certainly a good idea for a next troubleshooting step. Far as clearing shader cache, any new driver install inherently does this.
The lack of shader cache means that on the first time the engine loads a shader, it needs to be compiled (rather than just read from disk). That's what I meant by some initial period of poor performance as a result.
Yet prospectively, those dips should more or less be gone after an hour of play.
Another thing that I'd suggest checking is whether or not the card is hitting full lanes under GPU-Z. e.g:
I frequently see new cards installed, where they're just not making good slot contact, running at x1 - x4. Low bandwidth can cause bad stutter, especially when changing zones.
If bus speeds aren't going up to what's expected (when the card is under load), then re-seating it might help.
Would hope that a new card has good thermals / proper paste application, yet temperatures are also something worth checking.

if it on pc, restart modem router and set dns at windows network adapter setting to 8.8.8.8 / 1.1.1.1 ( google / cloudflare )
if it on device, restart modem router or switch using mobile data.
open windows task manager, see the tof launcher installer, is it doing large disk write or consume large amount or cpu / RAM process ?
because most of the time, that stop is about the installer allocating disk space for the game file, can take a very long time depend if you are using HDD or SSD.
if HDD, best is to defrag the drive 1st before trying to install the game.
another solution is if you are a new player, straight install from steam rather using the standard launcher.

Far as the Mirroria FPS drop, that zone is extremely raytracing heavy. NVidia cards only really fair better in there as a result of DLSS.
More meant that if DLSS is disabled, NVidia will struggle in Mirroria as well. Likely need FSR 3 for AMD to have a good experience in there.
Mostly pointing it out on the off chance that Luxvad turned on raytracing. Though I doubt it from the general vibe that explanation gave me. (assuming performance issues everywhere)
Either way, to give a perspective on performance numbers. A 6800XT is roughly onpar with a 7800XT (less shaders yet newer architecture).
A 6800XT can easily hit over 120fps at 1440p with maxed settings (minus RT) in Tower of Fantasy, or above 60 at 4k.
If it's dipping, I'd expect something like a bus or CPU bottleneck, or overheation. Really powerful and capable card.

PSU is borderline, yet the system would generally just shut off or crash. That's a bit 'on the edge' for the transient spikes of the hardware installed unless it's a high quality supply [EVGA, Corsair, Seasonic]. {something to keep in mind if you get any blackscreen hardlocks under load}
Using 3x8, 2 of them are around 2400 mhz and one of 3200mhz
For the sake of humoring me here. Try pulling one of the DIMMs, probably the 3200 (expect that positionally was the newest added) -- since the system is dropping down to 2400 anyway.
Make sure that the remaining two are paired in correct channel slots as indicated in the manual, so that you move up to dual-channel.
You'll drop capacity, but double effective memory throughput.
I doubt that this is what's going on personally, yet I'm curious if it makes any impact. Moving from single to dual channel gives about a 15-20% performance bump in ToF if CPU bottlenecked.
Basically, more isn't necessarily more-better. If it helps, you'd want to consider throwing another 8 in there, so that everything is occupied -- OR swapping the remaining 2400 and moving up to 3200. I'm more suspect from everything that you're trying that there's a bad paste job on the core {maybe poor mounting pressure / high hot-spot temp) or that someone in the factory forgot to put thermal pads on the VRM's.

Means that your device is leaving its lifecycle of support, typically.
You can always ask the carrier, yet that's what it sounds like. "Regular Updates" may not mean that you're not going to receive occassional security updates, for instance.
I wouldn't be able to really advise there. You'd need to talk to your carrier of what your options are.
If you want to continue receiving OTA updates, you might be able to pay for a continuation, e.g.
Outside that, your next option would be unofficial ROMs.

In the downloads tab in the background, behind the storage window, Steam seems to indicate that it needs 72GB of space. Similar to the Tower of Fantasy Standalone Launcher, Steam still pre-downloads updates before their application and needs sufficient workspace to apply them first (before removal of the originals).
Other potential is an integrity check on an asset failed after a 'patch' application, causing a re-acquisition of the large paks entirely. {This can almost double the disk-space needs}
I'm not sure that the volume capacity shown is going to work. Other possibility (since I'm not sure where Steam is placing the temporaries) is if the temporarily downloaded assets are going to the Steam installation drive (maybe C). I've not watched update behavior with a different-disk Steam Library, e.g, it's possible that the insufficient space error is misleading.
Looks like the temporary files go into the Steam Library on the destination drive. Creating symlinks off-disk (to another drive) does not bypass the free space check (just tested).
Only thing I can think of is temporarily moving the game (by hand) [[with Steam closed]], from the library folder on E -- to a disk that has lots of free space. Letting the update complete, then moving the game contents back to the library on E.

Not every gamepad is necessarily supported by Tower of Fantasy. The gamepad has to explicitly support X-Input.

If it's a Playstation 4 Controller (DS4), I know from experience that they're not supported on Bluetooth without either third-party driver software, or a special dongle.
Sony makes a dongle that handles the Bluetooth Communication and presents to the PC with X-Input & D-Input support. There's also third-party dongles that are cheaper such as the "Magic-S Pro" if you're looking for ones that are known to work well with ToF.
Generally I'd suggest a dongle, since most of the third-party drivers aren't signed -- and this can cause issues with Online Games due to their anti-cheats.

Is a full crash dump being generated (beyond this log file)? From the log, seems that you may have edited Engine.ini in the past. Could you try wiping the entire AppData\Local\Hotta\ folder (to factory reset the client so to speak)? -- After checking for dumps of course.
I just did delete the entire folder and I didn't modify any CVars or anything in the past.

Gotcha, in that case if you have any dumps -- I'd be interested if you can zip them up and send them my way (over DM's). I do note that you're on a Kepler series card (a 750), so dropping to DirectX 11 is another thing I'd try.
But I did play this game two years ago at a stable framerate the only thing I can do now is to update the graphics drivers or roll back to a version I used two years ago or something.
DirectX 12 support on Kepler is incomplete to say the least. I'd try DirectX 11 [selected via the launcher] before trying upgrading drivers (especially if you mean force installing newer drivers than officially supported).

In the older days, the engine only ran under DirectX 11. It's possible that DirectX 12 was introduced after you'd last played -- and that could explain why you had no problems prior. Support was added roughly around the time that Vera dropped. (2.0)

Ah, if COMODO is present there's not been anyone that I'm aware of that's tested it recently. Yet COMODO is very likely involved {as it, and Bitdefender are the two big name AV's known to cause game crashes}. Any chance that you could temporarily uninstall the software to see if the game runs properly?
Disabling the AV may not be sufficient unfortunately. {I know that sounds backwards that disabling of an AV may be less thorough vs exceptions}

Right, just like Bitdefender posed no problems in the past (outside of ingame purchases and embedded browser usage), that changed with 4.0's launch where both COMODO and BD are now known to prevent the game from loading at all.
I know there are things running in the background for game security etc. but this is a bit much.
Anyway, if you knew that COMODO was for sure the cause -- then the recommendation would be to reach out to COMODO's support. They've been helpful in the past per providing workarounds.
Well why is it then that these things are loaded in async? If it was the ingame brower that caused this for example it should crash the game at the time I interact with it but this unhandled exception is completely random.
In the past it was explicitly on the embedded browser (any action that caused it to open), that's sadly changed. Post 4.0 (the most recent updates), crashes tend to happen the moment that the usermode hooks for the heuristics portion of COMODO and Bitdefender are injected into the engine. With Bitdefender that manifests as a crash usually right by the point that a person gets far enough to click to load into a server.
Sometimes they can get in, then crash right after.

If you can get me one or more of the dump folders on a failed start, that'd be a huge help. Far as audio drivers causing startup issues, that's actually very common. Though usually it tends to be isolated to VoiceMeter's products and VAC (Virtual Audio Cable), or specific APO's and audio post processing components. (such as with some of Logitech's Headsets)

A laptop randomly factory resetting by itself is not normal, no. That's the type of thing I'd talk to the manufacturer on.
In software, almost nothing is "random".
Probably ASUS has its own reset tools, and some programmed trigger. You'd need to know what the cause is.
Windows has its own built in 'reset' and checkpoint rollbacks, yet that shouldn't happen either, nor be as thorough.

Whenever the game goes down, does it freeze, or close on its own? If it's a freeze (not a close) -- wait 120 seconds as there's a watchdog in the engine that will trigger a crash capture usually.

If it's crashing every time in a consistent manner, just the most recent is likely enough.
Most recent is log-rotated typically. Hotta.log becomes the files listed underneath unless the engine goes down in some really abnormal way, though it might be overwritten and I've seen machines where only the latest logfile naming is used. {this is abnormal--}
That log file is usually also copied to the crash-dump subfolders (albeit they're not being generated here).
log rotation typically keeps them indefinitely, same per the crash dumps.

you need to enter each server at your region, 1 by 1, to find your old character.
It's hard to say what it is specifically. The name includes firmware, so it's likely a motherboard update "of some sort" being pushed via Windows Update.
Either way it's already installed pending restart, so you should restart given the update is scheduled to run (or may have already ran) as is.

It's no longer clean in that ASUS' software is installed. Try removal of the ASUS software and see if the load drops. Alternatively, you can wait and see if this is only temporary.
Logically it has to be something installed shortly after the fresh slate.
Anyway, Task-Manager should usually be sufficient to test.
The set of software that can cause the load would be low though.

I know that you'd like a solution, yet I really cannot propose much outside getting a clean install on there. I would not bother dealing with the machine as is, and prefer in your shoes to get a clean install.
You really don't know what they've done to the machine, and it's not worth your time to try to figure out.
Not addressing this (getting it corrected), will likely result in more problems down the road or even data loss.
The unknown state of the system (with potentially activation tools present), leads to more questions of what was preinstalled. Your data, accounts, privacy, etc, could be at risk. Hence, that has to be addressed before really anything.
My recommendation is to proceed no further with the provided install, to get the system wiped either by the shop (cost wise) or in the worst case by yourself, then to alter any account credentials that you touched with the system.
Microsoft Account -- minimally.
Any games that you ran, emails, etc.
If the shop doesn't provide you a legitimate copy of Windows, I would consider contacting Microsoft Support to report the incident.

If there's no potential to have the shop wipe the machine, and you need it right-now, then I'd see if you can produce a Windows Install Media on another system -- then use that to wipe the machine (clean install). Fully destroy all existing partitions-
--> If the BIOS has an SSD "Secure Erase" feature built in (some do), use that to wipe the disk before using the Windows Installer.

Various sign-in methods are loosely associated with 'game-accounts' (linked), where your Steam Account is used the same as any other sign-in method to a game-account.
For clarity, yes, you can uninstall the Standalone version, reinstall the Steam version, log into your game-account, and all of your characters would be intact. Similarly you can reinstall any version of the game, move between machines, etc, and your data would be intact.
e.g, there's no risk to your characters, to reinstall -- other than if you don't remember your credentials and are using automatic sign-in.
The concern here is if the new-device (from the same shop) is installed in the same fashion as the prior. If the device came with a Windows Install that they did not provide, then that's a good option.
Descriptively you mentioned that the shop installed the OS copy, so you may find that the new system is identical.

Usually I wouldn't use a USB drive for games other than when out of space, as the USB controller is another source in the chain for issues.
You can of course try it, yet you'll get better performance and reliability on the internal.

If integrated graphics only, I'd aim for a Ryzen system with a 680m or 780m. (6000 series or above) Preferably stay away from "U" series chips, and look for systems with a high TDP [65w] if integrated graphics.

if on pc , try to restart your modem router and use 1.1.1.1 / 8.8.8.8 as DNS at your windows network adapter setting.
if on mobile device, test with other wifi network, or switch to your mobile data, in short try with another provider.

test if the game still suffer high fps / cpu usage even at lowest setting.
if yes, check your other running background apps, specially windows update or ms store update.
Also check if your pv have these listed apps or extra anti virus outside windows defender.

then hard reset the client, $userprofile% folder is shortcut name for user/<your pc username> folder.
appdata by default is a hidden folder.
you can just copy paste those folder address to windows explorer.
also did you use up to date gpu driver ? check with the manufacture nvidia / amd

ands i recently updated my gpu driver

after hard reset the client, try with turning on / off steam overlay.
maybe that's the cause of the issue.

for now, my guess is bottle neck at RAM department.
this game alone can cost you about 4-5 GB RAM.
windows already taking large amount of RAM on its own like 4 GB when idle.

open device manager , open display adapter, is your nvidia the only one listed there or there is an onboard gpu listed there as well.
if there is you might need to setup the game to force using your nvidia
no, hard reset means reset all in game setting, no need to redownload the game.
but will need to find your old character at server selection and set every in game setting again though.

yeah, there's a chance the game ended up using that onboard intel too
- open NVIDIA Control Panel
- find manage 3d setting -> program setting -> select a program to customize
- go to your steam TOF folder, find QRLS.exe ( it's the game exe, under TOF/hotta/binaries/win64 )
- select it
- then find next setting at control panel -> select the preferred graphics processor for this program -> select your nvidia, high performance if possible.
- apply it and restart the pc just in case it won't apply correctly.
but if this still cause high cpu/fps problem, you need to address that RAM issue, which basically, add more RAM.
enlarging windows swap file can help, but if you're not on SSD it will cause your windows loading longer.

open advance tab -> find performance -> setting
open advance tab -> find virtual memory -> change
remove checkmark at auto manage paging file, read below about recommended and currently allocated.
which on is higher choose it as initial size at CUSTOM size option. ( or if you still have large space at your C:, you can increase the value by 50% )
then double the number and write it as max size.
apply and restart your pc.
if want to revert the change, add checkmark back at auto manage paging file, and restart pc.

Check our chat history, but in jist -- Windows can "reserve" the last 10% of RAM for a compressed swapfile stored in memory as a tiered swap before the swap on disk is used.

This can be a double edged sword and counter productive in that compression and decompression cause a severe CPU hit. It also removes memory from being usable whenever you're memory tight.
By the sound of the feature, you'd assume that memory compression is inherently good, yet there's situations where it actually hurts performance.

Anyway, one of my prior suggestions to you (due to being on 8GB) was to try disabling that feature through powershell (you'll find that in our chat history). I'd check that it's still disabled, and if it's not, see if that positively impacts performance to shut off.

You can always re-enable the feature (Enable-MMAgent -mc) if there's no impact, or a negative impact. Reboot the system after making changes.

The worst that disabling memory compression causes is extra writes to your disk (for swapping). I wouldn't expect this to cause problems unless the SSD is packed to the brim / out of space, and the drive's wear leveling can't function.
For the record, every SSD that I've owned (of those that died) has failed before hitting its estimated write limit. (from other means)

I would recommend it personally with an SSD. Memory Compression is more a feature for machines with slow mechanical disks.

When a system has 8GB of RAM, hypothetically assume that a game 'could' fit in those 8GB, but just barely. If compression is enabled, then the OS takes a reservation, the peak usable memory actually is decreased, and that game no longer fits.
This causes swapping (to compressed memory), and actually slows things down.
Hence, I call it a double edged sword.
It's a good idea in premise, yet in practice is not guaranteed to help performance.
Memory Compression was introduced mostly to help back whenever systems were still primarily sold with mechanical disks, and it indeed does for those machines.
Anyway, all the other features like PageCombining I'd leave enabled. Don't follow my machine's example.
-- Another thing that "might" help (with an SSD) is disabling the SysMain service (under services.msc). This is counter intuitive, yet SuperFetch / prefetching might cause additional swapping whenever the system is low on memory.

For anything that you speculate is account related, you'll need to #game-support . It'd be ill-advised to allow anyone else access to your account for testing.
If you have any other devices (mobile or otherwise) and can install to another system this would be a good idea to rule out hardware.
Just to make sure I understand though -- you were booted, and are unable to get back into the game at all. Immediately disconnected with a "Disconnected from Server" type prompt? If that's what you're seeing, it's probably connection related. Try resetting all equipment like Gespenst suggested, and then tethering a cellphone if you're able to, or logging in with the game installed on a cellphone. In either case, be it account related or connection related -- contacting support is a good first step here.

it might related to failure loading in game asset rather connection issue.
if you have other antivirus outside windows defender, chance is your game file is corrupted.
adding the entire game folder into its exclusion and then attempt to repair the game files should work.
but this depend on what the log said during that 90% loading.

Looks like you're on a Ryzen 1600X, 16GB of RAM, 6700XT. This should be a relatively capable system (expected to be able to load in without problems), though I do note that over half of your memory is occupied from the getgo before the engine fully loaded.

I see some signs that might indicate the machine is out of memory in that log, yet that really shouldn't be happening.

That there's a QRSL crash recorded in the event viewer is also "interesting" {normally exception handling should capture the closure and record a dump, which doesn't seem to be happening}. The game doesn't fully close each time, right? The engine logs seem graceful.

30 seconds maybe 40 the game is installed on mechanic HDD later stay like 5 minutes and back to selection of server don't say any errors

Any SSD in there that you can try moving the game over to? 30-40 seconds "should" be fast enough that the load succeeds, but anything reaching up to a minute is in the range where system performance might be a factor.
e.g, where the client takes long enough to load in that the server effectively 'gives up' by the time the client is ready.
Assume that closing all those browsers doesn't make any impact, yet I'd also try that if you haven't already (terminating everything in the background outside of the game). [more free memory for Windows to throw at disk cache]

I have no experience with WIndows 11's Touch UI or tablet behavior. If the keyboard and mouse being docked don't switch back, I'd have no idea how to troubleshoot automated switching. Windows 11 removed (to my understanding) the manual 'button' for switching the behavior in the CP.
Quickly searching on forums, people propose this:

I'd reiterate that "Preview Builds" of Windows are going to routinely have problems. You'd have a much better experience with Windows likely on non Preview.
Or rather, if you run a beta OS, you are a beta-tester. There will be bugs.

you need to do main quest until fast forwarded at asperia, which will make you jump to vera.
once at vera, do another main quest till you are told to sleep at mirroria hotel.
then open menu -> terminal -> story -> select last map
