its fine dont worry so this happened before on facebook end it usually takes while for them to fixed whenever it enabled again the facebook login is back i reccomend connecting alternate accounts just to be safe

That security change some garbage, for note. I did ask my friend create account to test, he test & got payment window on 1st start. So he cancel operation. When he did try to buy again 5hrs+ later he's already locked

why does it cost a limited currency to make a guild if ya'll are just going to forcfully remove the owner just for taking a leave of absense (when all the members of the guild ALSO took the same leave of absense at the same time)

I created my account through Facebook, and when I look at my linked apps on Facebook, ToF is in that list.
It also says that the link is active.
But when I try logging into the game, it says this: "This app is not accessible right now and the app developer is aware of the issue. You will be able to log in when the app is reactivated."
Is there a way I can log back in(I don't have anything else linked) with my Facebook, or am I locked out of the game for now?

That said, please remember that this is a place to be respectful of others. There are ways to word advice in such a way that itβs purely helpful without faulting individuals for hindsight. The bulk of the people who are locked out βwillβ likely link an alternate sign-in going forward, now that they've experienced being locked out and know that an option exists.

Generally speaking, my personal preference (if anyone wonders) is to leave HAGS disabled -- given it causes problems with plenty of games.

Friends in Jakarta for example have datacenter IP's provided by a WISP {via rooftop agreements}. Non residential blocks.

I can't speak for how things are done on the server side sadly, if there's additive risk-scores by connection origin, or IP classification.

Actually, I install the launcher and try to install the game, but it only installs a folder named 'Tower of Fantasy' with an empty launcher folder. quit game close the launcher, delete content of these folders :

reopen the launcher, top right menu dropdown - system - choose dx11
test the game, will need to find your character at server selection and redo all in game setting again.
@pale mural not much difference,the game looks much better because the settings are set on high and other things are enabled but there is not much change about the stuttering problem
Every time something new is loaded,the game is stuttering(it is very visible when I glide with Rubilia)
Whenever you say 'stutters', how long are these stutters exactly? Asking on the off chance that you're a power-user and have access to metrics like frametime in some overlay.
Some amount of stuttering is normal, e.g, where the frametime spikes are say 100ms tops.
RAM looks sufficient, CPU is decent enough, and you mentioned loading off an SSD. However, everyone has a different definition of what constitutes stutter.
If you've not done so, also try comparing DirectX 11 and 12 performance. {bear in mind that both will have a different shader cache, and experience their own initial wave of stutter during shader compilation -- you'll need to give a bit of time before making the comparison}
I note that you mentioned input not being accepted, that sounds like severe stutter upwards of multiple seconds.

Try the following:

See if the launcher is successfully installed this time.
In jist, "TofMiniLoader_official.wg.intl.exe" is a self-extracting archive. The self-extracting archive is supposed to unpack into a temporary folder under AppData\Local\. On some systems due to the way that the user profile is configured, the launcher either doesn't unpack properly, or the second stage of the installer (the unpacked installer) doesn't execute with administrative rights [rights from the extractor not carried over]. It can't access the installation folder to write files, and the installation process fails {silently} -- resulting in an empty launcher folder.
Generally speaking, if you can get past the initial stage (the self extractor), then everything is smooth sailing afterwards for the installation of the game.
If it persists after attempting the ^ above trick, please shoot me a DM. I'd want to collect an msinfo export from both of your systems.

Facebook sign-in is unfortunately not functional at this time. If you've prior bound another sign-in method then you can use the other method in order to access your game-account.
Otherwise, unfortunately you'll need to wait until the Facebook sign-in method is back operational.

hope can resolve at your end.... usually your error is related to network being broken. ( connection to server is unstable )
but also can be triggered by unable to load in game model, either gpu driver issue or using normal hdd storage but with require defrag status.
either way, wait for mod to dm you back, might find something else.
The Facebook issue isn't the fault of Hotta, it's an issue on Facebook's side of things

In this case, it appears that all of the provided crashes were caused by Bitdefender's hooks. {An exclusion will probably get everything working stable}
Since you mentioned NVidia, have you already tried using DLAA? I assume that you're trying to shoot for maximum quality whilest eliminating jagged edges.
Is there any way that you can take a screenshot and highlight / circle what you're seeing?
More equipment translates to more character data, which does increase the amount that's transmit in the initial character exchange {load-in}. Not a guarantee that it's connection oriented of course, yet this observation does tend to hold for people who have issues signing in -- whereby the more clean the character (e.g, a fresh character), the greater the odds that they can get in. {routinely described as a claim that every world works in a region except the one containing their main character}
For clarity, you should be able to sign in even when the inventory is packed to the brim though, and on a late game / well established character. Odds are that this will continue to happen if it can't be narrowed down what the actual culprit is. It'll be either on the connection side, or the system's performance.
If you have a cellphone with a data plan, and you're on landline Internet. A good idea is to try (next time this happens) seeing if you can sign in with cellular data (tethered to the phone).
-- If you can, this very strongly points to the problem being on the connection side. If it comes and goes erratically [days you can log-in, and days that you can't], that also leans towards connection.

If it worked before Windows 11, one thing that comes to mind is that Windows 10 had HAGS disabled by default.

TAA normally functions just within the game on its own, and without any settings in Geforce Experience. However, driver updates certainly could impact any feature.
If it worked in the past, and no longer does. One explanation might be if you just were on older drivers back before Windows 11 was installed.
e.g, going in the reverse direction might be worth testing.

facebook is broken as login method.
facebook broken frequency is about once a month or two months.
recommend to not using facebook as login method, if you are starting, either use google / steam / basic infinite pass login.

but be aware when large patch hit not only it will increase but the patch process itself will require large empty space almost same size as the game to proceed. ( the unused space will be returned but you need large free space to start the progress )

On pc, as soon as it loads in to my last spawn point it said can't connect to servers. I retry and reboot the game several times. One time it let me in, and I tried to do a matched team boss battle and it said again, cannot connect to servers.
I tried what tof had in their support faq and it didn't work. It's been doing this since I last logged in last week.
If it started abruptly, and not necessarily after any maintenance -- combined with that you're getting in at random {where you're OK, until the next load-screen}, what you're describing sounds like packet loss.

If that doesn't help, then the next question would be if you have access to a cellphone that can be used for hotspot / tethering. If you do, try connecting via cellular and see if the game logs in consistently. Should it log in consistently, then it's for sure a problem on the Internet side of things. If narrowed down to "Internet", you'll want to reach out to both your ISP and Tower of Fantasy's Support Team explicitly stating that you've isolated / narrowed this down to a connection problem. In the case of the ISP, you'll want to provide the services and service region that you're having connectivity issues to, and in the case of ToF's support, you'll want to provide information on your ISP / where you're connecting from (along with IP used).
The goal essentially being to get each end to look into potential routing problems in each direction, with a hope something stands out. Tower of Fantasy's support team may also be able to recommend other options and troubleshooting steps which we otherwise cannot advise here due to the user-agreement.
In the case of the problem being your ISP, the first step would be (same as the recommendation above) trying to confirm this through an alternate connection. Then, reaching out to both parties (ISP and Tower of Fantasy support) requesting assistance.
It helps if the problem can be confirmed, in that this will allow both parties to immediately move onto more appropriate troubleshooting.
Some time back, Tower of Fantasy had introduced, then temporarily re-eliminated the option for DirectX 12. Polaris (RX500 series), Kepler, and earlier cards are known to have issues with DirectX 12.

Assuming the sign-in is being attempted on Windows, have you tried resetting your all browser related cache? (e.g, flushing cookies) If that still doesn't work, please also attempt setting a different browser as the default -- just to rule out anything on the client side here.

For a phone, more tricky to mess with anything like clearing out the application cache, unless you're on Internet that has no quota and don't mind re-downloading anything. I'd make sure that you get a ticket open if you don't already have one.
There's a chance it's on the device side. You "might" be able to get in with clearing everything out for the application and re-logging in, yet not guaranteed.

You could certainly list them, and any security software that you use (third party firewall, AV, etc). However, it's more likely on the connection end if it started abruptly (with that error message).

That could definitely slow things down. Preference would be to use the internal disk if at all possible {especially the solid state that the laptop model lists}. Load speeds should (ideally) be 30 seconds or less. [for that type of hardware]
When they get into the minutes, that's where you risk the server having "given up" (so to speak) or timing out waiting on the client.
Anyway, connection can make for long load screens too. You'd only be concerned here if the average load times (even when things worked) were long.

Even if you don't have a PC that can run the game, are you able to install the Tower of Fantasy Launcher on a PC? Since from the launcher (prior to installation of the game), it would be possible to attempt a login. And, importantly -- if that login worked, you could try to bind a new sign-in method via the launcher's Account-Center.

Via the standalone launcher from the Tower of Fantasy website explicitly, yes. Epic and Steam launcher-variants on the otherhand don't download the game, so the entire game has to be acquired on those platforms to just gain access to the launcher.
Standalone is unique in that the tiny install of the launcher can sign-in, and do account bindings.
This might be useful in this instance.

Crashing on iPad ninth generation has anyone have a fix
So, I just downloaded this game on my computer, but I notice that the game kinda flickers when I play it. It looks like it's going bright then dim then bright really fast. Especially in loading screens. This does not happen with any other games on my laptop. Tweaking the FPS settings on my monitor and setting the FPS to 120 in the game kinda helped but it still does it. Is there some kind of graphical setting I should tweak to fix it?
Any chance that your system has an RTX 40XX card? Most commonly whenever I hear people report "flicker" it's induced by DLSS frame-generation.
Since you're on a high framerate display, you might also be seeing freesync / GSync flicker during any stuttering. LCD brightness is inversely tied to framerate {when framerate drives refresh}, in that pixels fade to white when not refreshed.

Both per the update speed issues and inability to enter the game world.
Per the first one, if you registered the account via email -- you'll likely be able to locate an account creation email. SNS is referring to any Social Networking Service bound to the account as an alternate sign-in method, which similarly you might have email records of via the associated address on whichever platform was used.
-- If you're not certain, you can of course mention that too and or give a best-effort estimate based on whatever records that you have {the more information that you can provide the better}. Support may be able to give other suggestions of alternate details that you might be able to provide in order to prove ownership of the account.

Would recommend also reaching out to the email provider, in addition to Tower of Fantasy's support. Understood though -- and be sure to bring this up in the support exchanges far as the urgency with requesting anything else that you can provide.
If you've made purchases in the game before (charged currency), then bank statements showing the transaction might help, for example. If you can find anything like this -- offer it ahead of time.
I tried to contact microsoft support because of the hacking but they support is useless i contacted tof support and i wrote that in my ticket that my email has been hacked and i even provided transaction receipt but the need the sns channel and the account creation date
Without a record, you'll likely need to just go with a best guess estimate. If you've already provided transaction receipt, hopefully this combined with everything else you've managed will be enough.
I can't really think of much to narrow it down other than digging back for the earlier charge unless you remember if you started on the game's launch for example.
You can probably also give them your connection details, if that's not been asked. IP address, Internet Provider, connection region, types of devices that you've ever played on.

What type of error specifically? If the error states that the sign-in method is already bound, then the recommendation is to #game-support .
Once any sign-in has been used for loading the game, it becomes associated to a new game account, and post association, it can't be associated with any other.
Loading screen is faster than usually would be expected for out of memory. However, there's no chat history to go off here per whether or not you've gotten into the game before. I see that you joined the Discord mid last year, and so I assume you used to be able to get into the game, then this abruptly began.
Did this start after any game update specifically?
For a start, please close the launcher and game completely, then wipe the contents of:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Hotta\
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\tof_launcher\ <-- if the standalone launcher version is in use
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\tof_launcher_Steam\ <-- if the steam launcher version is in use
This is akin to performing a factory-reset of the game and launcher. The next startup will be like a first-time run. Re-start the launcher, sign back in, re-select your world, and see if you can enter.
If that doesn't help: Check under the AppData\Local\Hotta\ {Saved | Saved_Steam} \Logs\ folder, and send me a copy (over DM's) of your Hotta.log (latest engine log). This might give us a clue of what's happening, even though there's no display within the client itself of an error.

Stability of them is identical in my experience between all versions of Tower of Fantasy for the PC. The key difference is where and how the game assets and updates are acquired, how you log into the game, and how payment processing (recharging currency) is handled.
Steam can sign in via Steam "and" the account formats of Standalone.
Standalone supports LI Pass / plain-old-email, Facebook, Google, X / Twitter, Line, Apple.
Epic Games can only sign in via Epic accounts.
Valve's platform is very mature (meaning well tested) in terms of downloading and repairing the game, so if there's connection concerns, Steam would be my go-to. However, all of them work fine honestly.
There may be convenience considerations to using Steam or Epic, if you use either on your PC. Logging into a Steam account is one click, for example, from the Steam launcher.
-- To preempt a common mistake: If you are going to use the Steam variant for example, remember that on the first sign-in, you'll be signing in "via your old sign-in method".
Once signed in, you can then bind a "new" sign-in method from the account center {account center accessed via the upper-right of the launcher, by clicking on your signed in "name"}. This should be done before clicking to sign-in via Steam far as order of operations.

Keep in mind that you can also install the Standalone Launcher just for account binding sake. For instance, say that you can't run the game on iOS to sign into your account for binding. It'd be possible to sign in with Standalone "without" downloading the full game, and then to bind to Epic Games, Google, or any other login method.
Though Steam is certainly 'easier' if you want some robust / well tested distribution platform, in that it supports everything out the gate.
Meaning: If I have my βLevel Infinite Pass Accountβ, I can bind there all other accounts (i.e. Steam & iOS) in the (Standalone) Official Launcher?
Steam binding requires being signed into Steam {the Steam client specifically}, "I believe". Though I've not tested that recently. It used to be this way at least.

main problem is you are on pc discord.
both ps and pc have their own discord, bug list, and maintained by different publisher.
no cross server between each other.
on your problem, there was a server merge for ps server.
that merge caused server name become unreliable to find your old char.
the best way to find your old char is to rest each server under your old region one by one until you found your char.

Likely the best starting point. Especially since you mentioned slow updates as well. I'm particularly curious to see the hardware and drive specs, given you're on fiberoptic Internet, and bandwidth shouldn't be the choke there.

Whole device freezes, or just the application {to be sure}? Alot of the Black Jade Ruins issues wind up being corruption related, and clear up after a reinstall.
The application, I can close the app but it slows down my phone for a bit letting the audio play for a few seconds after itβs been closed then it goes back to normal!

If already reinstalled [meaning no chance of assets being corrupt], and no software updates available [OS / platform updates], then the recommendation would be to #game-support sadly.

You could report it as a bug, or otherwise. Anything should be fine really- {support will figure things out}
If it's Android, and you're well versed with custom ROMs (or already on one), that presents the ability to run a different Android version with a different kernel. Some people have gotten past issues in running different software on their device.... Yet that's of course not recommended, and something the carrier can detect if things go awry / can potentially void the warranty.
Sadly there's not much to experiment with in terms of settings on Mobile Devices.

To my understanding (albeit keep in mind that I've not personally submit a ticket in quite some time), providing updates to tickets is generally done in the same manner as how a ticket was opened. Your thought process of going back through the helpdesk under the same submission category is how this functioned a year back.
Assuming the ticket is still open, instead of seeing a fresh selection you'd generally see your past conversation history. It's possible that the ticket was closed unintentionally, this has been reported to happen from time to time. If you can't locate anything better, there's no harm in producing a new ticket and stating the reason why / referencing the prior. Customer Support will figure things out and can access the old ticket as needed.
Main suggestion is to try reducing the ingame graphics settings if you've not already done so. You might also check that you're not set in the iOS / Phone Settings for a low power mode (battery conservation).
If the problem comes and goes over time, and if this is a recurring theme. First try resetting Internet Equipment if that's not already been attempted- may or may not help. Should it not:
You'll want to both #game-support and additionally contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider). In the case of the ISP, you'd want to provide a description of the services that you're having issues with (Tower of Fantasy), and the region that you're having issues connecting to the worlds within. It may help, since the problem comes and goes, also including 'times' that the problem crops up.

Since a different account worked on your system, through Steam, and was able to access the ingame store -- no need for me to ask if you can open the Steam Ingame Overlay. We can assume that's all working.
Sadly this means that it's account specific (to your game account), and you'll likely need to #game-support per getting an investigation into what's happening, such as if a heuristic has flagged or temporarily suspended your ability to make purchases.
You can try a full factory-reset, and that's not necessarily a bad idea. To do so, after closing the game and launcher (don't need to fully close Steam), simply wipe the contents of the following two folders:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\tof_launcher_Steam\
This will reset the game back to how it would behave on a fresh install when run for the first time. However, given the other account worked, it's likely just account related in this case.

This is also very dependent on the operating environment / how hot things are.
If the phone is in any protective case, removing the casing might let it dissipate heat better, which is worth testing.
So this is the weird thing. My bfβs steam wouldnβt open the top up on his ToF account. My steam wouldnβt open my top up on my ToF account. I then tried using his steam for my ToF account and that worked. So Iβm not really sure what exactly the issue is

Hello, I used to play the game when it was launched with a mail that I don't use (Idk why I did it that way tho) now I want to change it to an active email that I use. I'm curious if it is possible through customer support? I can login to both the game and the old email but I didn't see any option to change it in the settings etc. If it is possible I want to contact support about it but I am not sure If I should contact them from the previous email, current email or from in game somewhere?
You can certainly try to #game-support in a situation like this. It doesn't sound like you've lost access to that email address, yet if there's a risk of losing access, or other security concerns -- support may be able to help you out.
If it's purely for the sake of convenience, then it might be easier to associate your game-account with an alternate sign-in method that overlaps some service you're actively using.
if your storage device is using HDD, defrag it 1st, for faster empty space allocation. No need if SSD.

if still failing, try temporary with tethering using your mobile data, see if it can start downloading.
Additionally, adding onto what Gespenst mentioned (on downloading the game). There's also Steam and Epic Games for distribution.
If you have either, this provides an entirely different CDN service to acquire the game through and a different download manager in effect. Steam is a very mature platform, and if the game is offered on Steam in your region, that may be an option.

There's a variety of login providers, such as Google, Facebook, Steam {version exclusive}, Epic {also version exclusive}, Apple, Line, etc. These can be used in place of plain-old-email for sign-in.
Note that different launchers and platforms may have different (more or less restrictive) sign-in options.
It's also possible to bind multiple different sign-in providers, even after having created an account. This can be done through the Account Center in the PC client (from the launcher), or through the ingame "Settings" (under "Compliance") on mobile.
Anyway, all of these still require platform credentials. However, if you're always signed into a given platform, then aggregation of services would reduce the amount of times you enter account details- e.g. Which may be more convenient.

Ah, if this is over having lost the credentials, then that's a different angle here. There's no "alternate" means to sign into an account if that account was created with email -- unless you happened to have bound a different sign-in provider already.
If you're far into the game, then your best bet would probably be to #game-support . However, be aware that you'll need to prove ownership of the account during this process. Meaning, you'll still need to dig up a variety of details (support will let you know what's needed) -- to retrieve an account in that way.
Best I could advise is to try every account of each service that you use, with hopes that one of them is the one that you used during account creation. If that fails, then reach out to support for assistance.
Side note here: The most common mistake for returning players tends to be the use of "Google".
If you use Google for email (a ton of people do), make sure you're trying both gmail (plain old email) and Google via the external sign-in provider (Google icon from the launcher, on the bottom). Often times folks remember the account, yet not how the account was used.
-- It's also a good idea to check the selected world / server and region. This is displayed on the bottom of the landing page after the client is launched, before entering the game completely. If you click on the displayed world-name, you'll get a world selection menu. The top most category (left pane of the world-selector) if your account has characters, will list the worlds that said characters are contained on.

Anyway, AV software {not all, but some of them} is known interaction wise to cause a delayed crash of the game-client on modern versions of Tower of Fantasy. In the case of BD, its hooks installed for heuristics are the cause. Creating an exception for the game processes usually gets things stable.

Not for that specific mission, yet if you believe it's a bug {meaning isolated to you} -- often the cause of NPC's not appearing, or quest events not triggering can potentially be corruption / a problem with the game's assets.
One of the first things that's recommended to try is wiping the game data and performing a reinstall if that's not been attempted before. Of course, only suggest doing this on mobile if you've the data / it won't cause any problems quota-wise (e.g, if you have a landline Internet connection at home).

Hi! I'm not entirely sure where to ask about this, but I've been trying to play Tower of Fantasy all week, and the client crashes -immediately- after launch. Before loading into the game, or showing logos, or anything. I've tried both through Steam and through Tower of Fantasy's client, I've tried with my antivirus (Webroot) disabled, I've tried launching with DX11 and DX12, I've tried launching in compatibility mode for Windows 8 (I'm natively on 11), I've tried launching as an Admin. Nothing changes - immediate crash.
I haven't done any modding of Tower of Fantasy, but my experience modding other games tells me that a crash happening that fast means I'm probably missing core files or otherwise have a program incompatibility. The repair function on the launcher keeps telling me that everything installed correctly and Steam kept verifying the integrity of my install, but that didn't change anything.
Any ideas what I can try next? I'd love to get back into Tower of Fantasy, but it sure feels like the universe has other plans.
this might be a longshot, but i was having issues with unreal engine games for a while because my epic games store / unreal engine editor thing, idr which of the two was out of date since i hadn't run them for like a year

If they don't, then the latest engine log \logs\Hotta.log -- would be the next best thing.

The only thing that exists in the AppData\Local\Hotta folder is a folder named 29093 and a .txt file named intl_auth.

29093 is written from the Steam launcher. intl_auth.txt is written by the launcher with initial credentials before the handoff to the game-client. The client writes the remainder under "Saved", e.g.

Most of the time that I've seen something like this tends to hint at a damaged Windows install. First thing to try is DISM and SFC, if you haven't already.
Those files are written by the client on the first execution.

I imagine the DISM and SFC process is going to take a minute. Assuming that returns a normal report, what would the next thing to try be?
These are very rare to crop up (as in that I've seen less than a dozen cases akin to this since the launch of the game). Usually what fixes everything is an inplace Windows upgrade-install. Or, in the worst case, the nuclear option (a reinstall of Windows).

Hello I'm having an issue with the logging into my account which i tried to open in a laptop( i usually play in my phone but I tried switching to my laptop) which shows a message "login status exception, exiting the game". With that being said if there's anybody who can help me with this issue ill be very grateful.

I notice that youβve left the server, however incase you check back: The most common scenario that happens is whenever a βGoogleβ account was used for account access.
If you used Google, try signing in both via Google as βgmailβ (plain old email), and as Google via the external sign-in provider (Google icon at the bottom) β e.g, where redirected externally to Googleβs OAuth web-service for sign-in.
Another potential is if your world / region selection is not the one that contained your character. Double check that the world displayed at the bottom of the screen is the one that contained your character, and also try clicking on this world (the name of the world at the bottom) to access the world-selection. Normally, the top-most category of worlds will contain a listing of any worlds that contain characters.
Worst case scenario, you may need to #game-support for aid in locating the account or for recovery. Be aware that contacting support will require that you're able to prove ownership of the account, and may take longer than trial and error attempting to locate the correct login credentials.
Assume that the YouTube videos that youβve followed detailed signing-out from the launcher completely {fresh sign-in}, and mightβve had you flush the launcher and engine cache / settings respectively. Could you give me a quick rundown of what youβve tried thus far?

So firstly i tried to login in normally with my account, which when I launched the game it had shown the error. After that i tried to restart my device and using task manager i end tasked the launcher. Next i tried to log into my different acc which was to no avail (didn't work)

If that's the case, then I'd recommend trying that flush suggestion (above).
Sometimes, especially if login persistence was ever used by the launcher: For whatever reason, the launcher perpetually holds onto account credentials and doesn't actually re sign-in, or even switch accounts {when trying other accounts}.
Resetting everything tends to un-stuck those situations, so to speak.
Lemme provide some context before all this that this is my first time I'm using a laptop for playing the game and so im very clueless when it comes with the issues with the games in it...π
If it's a first time run on it, and a fresh install -- then it's unlikely the suggestion above will help. I'd still give it a shot though.

Third party AntiVirus, Firewall, etc, is the primary suspect there. Additionally can be proxy / VPN software.
Now that u mentioned it I did put in place an anti-virus software in the laptop just yesterday

If the AV was the cause, 'usually' it's possible to add exceptions for the game processes. Most AV's don't cause problems with the game, yet there are some large AV providers that are known to cause problems with the game (generally manifests as crashing the game and not preventing sign-in though).
Which isn't to say that preventing connection isn't possible, since some AV's come bundled with web-filtering and firewalls too.
Anyway, knowing what's installed would be a good start, if you could get that msinfo export from the laptop. Importantly, that'd contain a list of everything installed on the PC.

SteelSeries would count. Headsets likely have APO's (Windows Audio Processing Objects) installed to provide custom mixer profiles.
Not tested any SteelSeries headset though to know if they pose problems.
If you can, try uninstalling the SteelSeries software and dropping down to generic Windows Audio Drivers.

Anyway, Logitech hardware is known for example to bundle software that breaks the game's audio.
Products like VoiceMeeter similarly are known to.
Though usually it's just a cutout or game-crash, not out and in intermittently.
Elimination of all third-party audio processing usually gets things working right.
e.g, just plain-old Windows generics, and no APO's.
But yeah, it's hard to say here.

Could you try disabling exclusive device control through the properties of the playback device being used -- via the Windows Audio Control Panel? Also setting sampling rate down to 48khz, if it's higher.
I do hear what you meant with the audio breaking up. Seems that sound effects play briefly, then halt.
If that doesn't work, and if your device has support for "audio enhancements" -- shutting enhancements off would be the next thing to try.
If there's any spacial audio, or 5-7 channel audio processing, also disable that for testing as a last resort.

Area progress says 93% but to me it looks like 100%, unless the second number in "Defeat Key Nodes" is not 100, which is possible but i can't tell.

Installation of the game is another story here, since the launcher needs temporary work-space during installation and patching of the game. Sadly this is something we cannot give an exact number on, as future updates may increase the size of the gameβs assets β yet it would be advised to have additional space free to ensure smooth operation through updates.

It's how it's meant to be, no bug. You can just go back to Aesperia and continue the story anytime via side missions (it's not a main one anymore)

If it's a concern how much additional space that the update would cause the game to occupy. This is not a good approach though, as the game will necessarily increase in size over time as new updates are released.
e.g, it'd be best to look into making more storage space {freeing up space} or adding space.

Option B there might be if you can download the game on public Internet (a hotspot). For instance, say that you only have cellular data at home, and you have a laptop -- you could use the laptop to download the game at an Internet Cafe, library, etc.

Due to the way that the launcher functions, it's a good idea to have (safety net wise) double the space that the game needs free.
It doesn't actually need double, yet it does need more than the final occupancy. (temporary work space during the download)
Why does double the space matter tho? (I have like 40gb extra) the launcher had made the 74GB folder already and I had downloaded like 4gb, I canceled to turn off my laptop the other day it was saying I don't have enough space to start the download

I don't know the exact requirements of free space for an installation, yet it might be up to the 150GB ballpark. Files are downloaded and unpacked. The downloads are kept until assets are extracted.

Generally would not cancel, pause, or attempt to suspend and resume downloads either.
If that's needed (like if download quota is higher at nighttime), then a different platform such as Steam would be preferable. Purely in that Steam as far as software goes is very mature at handling situations like this.

I too had a case of having 70gb of free space and still ended up running out of space before the install was done. The installer is very much not optimized, specially for big patches.

To clarify, a lot of the reports of NPC's and bosses not loading in (blocking main story campaign / quest progress) so far seems to be caused by corruption.

Main thing that I'd suggest is checking the Windows Task-Manager for "signs of life". Specifically disk IO, network-traffic, CPU utilization. If any heavy load exists from the launcher process, keep waiting.
Sometimes, the launcher can appear dead / stuck, yet still be functioning. Especially when game data is on mechanical drives.
This update is a large update, and involves a lot of disk-writes to apply. Some people are reporting the update legitimately taking hours. Update process heavily is hardware dependent on how long it'll take, basically.

By the main menu I assume you don't mean the launcher, yet rather the server select landing screen inside of the client?

Be aware that the AppData folder is hidden by default, and cannot be navigated to by hand. You can get to such a path directly in entering it manually within Windows Explorer (in the top path-field of the dialog), from the run-prompt, etc. For example:

Update: Cause is corruption
To make sure, you see the NPC in the approach, similar to "Foxxman" in the video posted above. However, the NPC unloads / is no longer visible after you get close.
This does seem to be the case per most people who are reporting it. Assuming that you've waited a long time already {and verified that there's indeed no activity from the launcher--}, you may need to perform a fresh installation in order to repair the game's state.

Not sure, just there's two scenarios that I've seen so far. One where there's no load in at all, at a distance or close -- these tend to be fixed by reinstall. {where the asset is damaged}
What was shown in that video seems different.
If a reinstall doesn't help, the only other thing that we can really recommend right now is if you have access to another device (or computer) that you can attempt to advance the story on.
Otherwise it may be necessary to wait on help. You could of course #game-support as well.

Assume a different issue in his case, since the game was installed and updated, yet the assets on disk were corrupt.
e.g, this was past the launcher, in the client itself with a gathered crash-dump.

Even steam needs additional space past the total allotment for the game. Is that 122GB free at the start of the downloading? Or some point in the process?

The game itself, at this point is around 78GB on Steam. Not accounting the AppData contents, launcher and client cache. I'm not 100% sure on the free space that's required for a fresh install on the Steam platform, that said.

so alocating space is not the issue overall. its with TOF this problem persists
The download process should be entirely isolated within Steam, through the acquisition of the game up until the point the launcher is started. e.g, nothing external or specific to ToF.
If you check under the Windows Event Viewer, "System" section -- are there any disk related warnings or errors?
Let's go on Valve's supposition here that there's an issue accessing the drive.
