Just wondering if it related to requirement to update playstore as well. Since usually after logo play, there should be a bit of synchronizing to google.
And a small window of playstore show up.
Try to check every udpate at playstore, specially google related. See if that fix your problem

Not sure if Ether is one of the server hit by merge. But even if there was a merge, your character name should not become random gibberish.

Well, it’s only random since I created a new acc with this mail, but if I use the google log in thing, with the same mail, I get my normal mail.
Can it be related to the infinite level thing? I didn’t follow any news about tof while I wasn’t playing so I don’t even know what it is lol
More likely you have account binding issue : /
Infinite level is publisher, owned by tencent. Hence global player connected to tencent server.

Never tried it myself.
Your account is actually represented by unique UUID, not the email itself.
So it should be easily changed, but to prove that you are the owner of the email, the process might take some steps.
Not to mention if said account was binded to google/steam/epic/whatever.

If the server status at login page is green, should be good.

@jolly frost – The game has grown over-time through the addition of updates, and the initially listed space requirements are no longer accurate at this point. Reinstallation of the game is unlikely to reduce the installation size.
@boreal karma – By “on data”, do you mean on Mobile Data-- specifically on an iPhone?
If yes: Unfortunately this is a longstanding known issue with mobile-data on iPhones. {explicitly with Apple's phones and not other iOS devices}
For instance, if you transplanted that sim-card from your iPhone over to an iPad, the iPad would be “likely” able to play the game on mobile-data. Similarly, the iPhone would be able to connect through the iPad's mobile hotspot. Additionally, if an iPhone runs a hotspot, no other device can connect through its hotspot data. e.g, this has something to do with how mobile data is provisioned on Apple's Phones specifically with a given carrier’s network.
-- Only advice that we can really offer here at this time is to contact your cellular carrier and ask if there's any difference with how Apple's products (such as the iPad and iPhone families of devices) are provisioned on their network. Especially if you can test your sim card in another device, or own other devices that work on the mobile carrier with the game.

The issue from Mellowzy looks like the launcher itself. Do you get past the launcher up to the point of starting the game-client, and experience a blackscreen immediately following the splash-logo?

It's a category within the world-selection. If you click on your active world's text / title, at the bottom of the screen, rather than clicking to sign-in fully -- you should see this category at the top of the region list.

according to some the npc is actually below the floor.
this is due bug that sometimes npc spawn before the floor finished rendering.
Try to change channel at hykros if possible.

it's a known bug, no other work around then restart device -> retry repeatedly

Try this :
Logout from game launcher and make sure it is not running at background or at system tray.
Delete the content of these folders :
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Hotta
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\tof_launcher
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\tof_launcher_Steam\ if steam user
Will need to find your server and do in game setting again.
Restart your modem so ISP can give you 'better' IP.
Set dns at your network adapter with 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 ( google or cloudflare ).
Hopefully nothing with connection between your isp and server
Logout from game launcher and make sure it is not running at background or at system tray.

uhh, you need to reslect your old server.
After closing news/announcement window, don't hit enter.
Look top of enter button, there should be server name and status indicator. Click that server name.
Tried for a while playing on another server on EU, Alintheus, found out something disturbing. The server is highly unstable and the character keeps falling through the floor mid cutscenes, has a lot of lag, many game crashes while on server. Think someone might want to look into this. Since it is strange on its own this happens.
Also from time to time the game freezes for a few minutes.

Hello, I just got back at tof when I opened the game it keeps saying update failed due to insufficient storage space, I even have 15+ gb storage space. Anyone knows how to fix this?(I already tried clearing cache and data)

The description makes it sound like the error is not at a specific point of the game "consistently" {intermittent / random}, so I'll likely need to see the entire engine-log from a few of these halts. I have the bug where claire isnt standing there and I cant enter vera. I tried contacting the support but haven’t received an answer yet (has been 10 days) what can I do to get help or how can I enter vera?
A few days ago I unlocked Rubilia and Fenrir. Everything looked ok but I never got their avatar images..
I tried changing the keys for relic and weapons, made 1, 2 and 3 for weapons and Q and R for relics. The relics are sometimes summoned when I switch weapons 2 and 3. I tried using many other key combinations for weapons and relics and nothing seems to fix this. Is there any way to do this without it being just accepting my defeat and using the default settings?
The weirdest part is that sometimes it works as intended when I switch weapons, sometimes it summons relics instead. It seems an unreliable issue.
If you can change channel at hykros, try that. Else.... yeah this bug is server side, have to wait for support.

That's the anti cheat.
Googling around seems solution is to make exclusion toward said file or turn on fast startup at power setting.
Is this about device ? Because on device when patching from 2.4 to 2.5 will require user to redownload whole game.
If on PC.... are you using steam version ?
I forgot which, one of these folders have input.ini file. Delete it after completely logout from launcher and launcher is not running at background or system tray

this anti-cheat dont work with antivirus (all programs of game and steam added to exclusion)
and most strange thing: another PC this same antivirus and win10 dont have this issue
said file is at C:/Windows/System32/driver folder .
But if that still won't work, afraid you need to google on your own since the other answer is prohibited to be discussed, or even used.
IIRC win 7 no longer got update specially antivirus, so that's another point why win 10 work.
I forgot if win 7 got core isolation or not, win10 require it to be off.
Windows 7 is pre virtualization based security. That said, VBS / Core Isolation does not need to be disabled. {Just kernel mode hardware enforced stack protection needs to be OFF, on Windows 11}

Last I'd checked a month ago, it was possible to still "upgrade" a Windows 7 license to Windows 10 for-free, despite that campaign having ended long ago. Just not via the Upgrade Advisor -- e.g, through using the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool, then performing an inplace upgrade install from that install medium.
-- If you're willing, and if there's support for your hardware, it might be worth considering this for the security updates and software updates, as GespenstMkI mentions. {being that Windows 7 is otherwise EOL at this point}

and yeah, win7 is listed as minimum but the list of system requirement never been updated when the game receive more updates.

Indeed, it's still listed as supported and I will still try to pass on and report conflicts (like with that AV), especially to the AntiVirus company. You're also correct though on the security-front that it'd be best for people to move off Windows 7 at this point, since even if the game lists it as supported -- Microsoft, NVidia, and so on -- no longer support the OS.
Could you fix it? I have the same issue, tried deleting the input.ini file and still persists...

Update: Seems to have been caused by "duplicate" single key bindings, with an overlap existing between keys in input.ini. Removal of the duplicates by-hand eliminated the action intermittency.

exp boost should be 400% from lvl34 until 86, 200% from 86 to 88 and then no exp boost for last 2 levels until level cap
idk how it would be on the newer server with lvl70 cap, should still be 34 -> 66 400% i think

- do it via in game, open setting -> customer service at top right -> account deletion

- do disk clean up on you OS folder and game folder. In case this is related to cookie or javascript used to load that news/announcement window.
- check your windows update, no need to apply the preivew ones.

Make sure that input.ini file property is not read only.

Google have sync account ability. I wonder if this game setting also sync by google, so when each pc login to google via the game, your in game setting actually overwritten by google sync.

i registered a temp new account and it is able to launch the game just fine
after reinstalling, I delete all my config and logged in using my username not google log in not crashing anymore

This bug actually due to character rendered earlier then environment.
Hence dr.claire actually spawned but fall through floor.
If you can change channel at hykros, do it.

Top left, you'll see minimap.
On top of minimap, there's writing channel: <insert number> click at the channel, it will ask what channel number you want to transfer into.
Due to low player existence at hykros, this can be quite hard to achieve. New channel is only auto created when a map become so populated.

Ok searching around, try one of these :
- use VPN ( just temporary )
- if you are using chrome, logout from it and then test the game. If still fail, uninstall / reset chrome, then test again.

it's only 144 mb when reinstalling launcher
make sure to memorize where is the original launcher location. So you can reinstall to same place

your problem usually happened due to connection problem from your ISP to tencent server.

well if you already tried with your friend account and only your account is not working, empty these folders after logout from launcher and making sure launcher not running at background

So - I got it to work now. What the launcher didn't tell me was if I created a LIP account using the launcher was that it binds it to a new ToF account
So in the end - I just made a new LIP account while my Google Account was logged in the launcher through Account Center > Bind
20-30 mins of that was thinking which email I'd use for it

Having same problem with my google acc, bound to LIP and loged in through verification code, it worked but i really don't want to send myself email with a code each time i want to log in. I also liked how the game just closes without telling you what's the problem
I set it to "stay logged in". The email I used is also a bit of a pain to type out
not an option for someone with 2 accs
Oh wait - you can edit the password of your LIP in their site
So you don't have to send a code everytime
Did that for mine since the binding process didn't ask for a password - had to do it on their website

Login with your google account in the launcher > click on the account name at the top right > Account Center > bind to LIP (this will create the LIP account for you)
tldr from launcher : launcher account center -> bind to level infinte -> log out -> log in using the level infinite account
Tell your friend to not create an LIP account from the login page of the launcher - make sure he logs in first with his google account

After going through the hell of binding LIP account - I like the auto login feature on the launcher now

The issue was just resolved and the client closures have halted? We just were about to make a notice {of awareness of the issue} to keep everyone on the same page.

Getting an ‘update failed, insufficient storage’ error on iOS despite having over 30gb free space. Have tried both offloading and uninstalling/reinstalling the app, neither helped.

Laptop
Make sure your laptop support the requirement and the gpu driver is up to date. Mirroria is quite heavy to load.
Recommended video ram is around ~6gb.
If that laptop is using shared memory, suggest to increase page file via windows environment setting.
Also could be corrupt file, check / repair game file via launcher menu.
Reduce your in game display setting all to lowest before retrying. And make sure to run at dx11 ( can be set via game launcher )

Is it possible to change accounts in epic games? When trying to log out, the launcher closes, and then logs back into the epic games account. I want to log in my google play acc
Epic games is a way to open launcher not a ToF account login method, If you press that 3 lines button in tof launcher it lets you log out on pc

There was an automatic "registration" of an account under the name of EGS account. When I try to log out, the launcher turns off. When I start again, there are no mail and password fields from Level Infinite Pass. After reading the reddit guides, I come to the conclusion that the EGS account is unique compared to Steam and other platforms

Resolved: While changing accounts may not be possible through the EGS launcher. Associating a game-account to an Epic account is -- which permits logging into the proper account through the Epic Launcher.

using chrome for youtube with onlu ublock origin. Tested on ign's starfield 45mins vid. Nothing wrong pass 15mins. Alt tabbing back and forth due to tof map loading

Discord is used in browser rather stand alone.
If your chrome is in login state, test it with logout. Don't use discord yet.
One everything OK, try discord, make sure no overlay active.

That said, the "audio cutting out" is unexpected / probably you're seeing much worse than I've ever personally observed.

You could run the application in the background before playing the game, and then inspect the program's output when the problem presents itself. Specifically a screenshot from the 'driver' tab, which is sorted by DPC call time by default -- would be the most useful thing to see here. The summary tab might also provide insight.

Throttling might also cause what you're seeing / lots of clock fluxuations. New player are redirected to vera storyline ASAP. You can return back to asperia to continue asperia story, open quest log -> memory section once returned to asperia.
Some user have hard time with in game browser. Could try to clean up these folders after logout from game and launcher no longer running at background / system tray.

Not familiar with how geforce now works.
Reading around, try to completely logout from both geforce now account and steam account.
Then log into both again and do game sync. See if that can fix it, game files are stored at cloud, so if there's problem with them, nothing you can do about it.
Could you confirm which driver that you’re on? Is this with 536.25, 536.23, 536.09, or 535.98?
535.98 specifically had a bug introduced related to GSync:
When using multiple monitors which support adaptive sync, users may see random flicker on certain displays when G-SYNC is enabled after updating to driver 535.98 [4138119]

I can't personally report seeing any flickering on 536.25, 536.23, or 536.09.
536.09 was a hotfix just for the flickering issue with games.
If disabling of GSync doesn't work {or even if it does}, you might try making the following addition in registry to disable MPO {Multi-Plane Overlay} :

- 535.98's issue only happened with MPO in use.

Ah, if you're pre-Vera, then this is before the changes went in for the account binding system. Post Vera's release, it was made much more difficult to re-associate an account (remove a binding), which reduced the likelihood of account compromise. (made theft of accounts much harder)
Basically, there's a chance that your account that you're signing in with is infact correct here. You'll definitely need to #game-support and get an investigation started. Support will either assist you in locating the correct sign-in method, or for account recovery in the worst case.

You'll want to see if you can find any details on your character in old screenshots, such as UID, character name(s), servers that you played on, and so on.

By chance do you have either COMODO Internet Security, or Bitdefender AV on the machine?

Any third party security software installed? There might be more that we're not aware of here. COMODO and BD were the two main ones that caused the game to crash whenever the embedded browser was opened.

the bug i reported is not linked to this gsync flickering problem, it happens even when gsync is disabled. It happens with latest 536.23 driver (i dont know about previous drivers) and is only linked to windows hardware gpu scheduling beeing enabled or not. When it's enabled it happens. when it's disabled it doesnt. It's specific to tower of fantasy as well
What graphics card is that on specifically? Is there anything else you can describe about the flickering far as what it looks like? {screen color, for instance -- is it 'gray'? Black?}
I've been on those drivers on a 3090 Ti and not seen anything like this with HAGS enabled on either WIndows 10 or 11.
Ah, I see that you're talking about DLSS3 in the problem report. So I'm guessing a 4000 series card.
search "tower of fantasy flickering hags" on youtube, the bot here wont allow me to post the youtube link - i get this randomly after playing tof 10 to 20 mins on my rtx 4070 when hags is on. When it's off no problem. It's only on tof. My friend who has a 4090 has the same problem, so perhaps it's linked to dlss3 and tof ( the frame generation button only shows in the game setting when you have a rtx 4 series card and hags is enabled). But the problem happens even when dlss and frame generation is off in the game as long as hags is enabled

Also i forgot to mention: this problem seems to be happening more frequently when using other apps like chrome and discord while playing tof. Also i noticed that when the setting "pref max power" in nvidia driver is used, the problem tends to happen less so it could be linked to variating gpu clocks/voltage

PS: i know that on the youtube video i uploaded as example i had high fps due to using dlss3 frame generation but i've also had the same problem when dlss and frame generation are off with a capped 60 or 120 fps. No tof ingame settings did prevent this flickering from happening for me, only turning off hags. And when i play other games like cyberpunk with hags on dx12 and dlss3 frame generation i have 0 problems
How much disc space do I need to be able to install ToF? I have 34gb available, the internet says I only need 25gb yet the game says it's not enough when I try to download
is it on your system disk (where you have windows installed)? Windows needs some free space to work, you can't just fill up your system disk completely

Currently you need around 60GB to install the Windows game client. Bear in mind that the space-requirements have not been updated since the launch of the game, and the game has expanded over time with content releases.
- Once installed, it'll take a bit over 40GB in total between the launcher and client. You'd want to have breathing room to make sure the update process is smooth though-

Yeah terrible management for the old quests, it used to give you option if you wanted to skip to vera questline. Now it just forces you to see the recap and tries to make you go to vera

I have 41 GBs to update (i have 50+ GBs of space left). I click update and it starts downloading, but then at around 1 GB the download completely stops and I have to reset it

You should bind 1st your original account toward epic before start downloading the epic one.
The binding can be done via tof official website or the original launcher.

Hello, I've just finished installing the game from Steam, but I'm getting this error. Tried closing game and Steam client then reopened it and tried to start the game but still gives this error.
Something disturb the game anti cheat.
Try to restart your pc in case you were playing an ol game which also have anti cheat but said anti cheat didn't close properly or an emulator.
I was going to use the Emu ...but then saw there was a steam version too so I've installed it through steam instead.

Not sure if this also related, previously there was a problem about google login. And everyone were forced to bind to infinite account and use it to login.
But that case was already ..... 1-2 weeks ago.
Perhaps a logout from your chrome and relogin ( maybe add browser clean up ? ) can help make things smoother.

Found the real culprit why it won't use the Default Browser. It was indeed Comodo. Had to restart client because I changed Voice Pack and won't use FF again. So I've uninstalled Chrome ....and lol...it used Edge instead ( another I never used and you can't even uninstall) and it gave the same error. So I did like the post above wrote and temporarily disabled the Auto Containment then started the game and it did in fact use FF and logged in correctly and started without trouble.
So I guess for me the problem you mentioned is still there, not fixed. But oh well ...if all I need is to disable it for 15 mins isn't a big issue, but I hope it will get fixed.

29093 - > That's for user file, it will be recreated by the game. Everything under those 3 previous folders will be recreated upon login.
Not the game folder..... those AppData folders are for user file.
Some users from 2.2 face graphical issue and require complete wipe out of those 3 folders. ( you were saying months, so I was assuming pre 2.4 )
As for the slow down, outside updating gpu driver, what's you laptop spec ? Like GPU , processor, RAM , storage device.
Also is there 3rd party anti virus running at background outside windows defender ?

It used to run great back then as vera released, i played till 2.3 and it went fine, I had occasional issues like these but they subsided pretty much 5mins in into logging, but now it seems much more annoying

Well, changelog so far on graphic was about optimizing dlss.
Check the launcher , try to force run it both at dx11 or dx12. Your gpu support dx12 API, perhaps with 2.5 optimization, you might forced to run with dx12. But need to test both modes. Top right menu at launcher window.
Also, test without anything running at background.

Hopefully a mod can look further. There are logs under user file which is being generated when you start game.
Those can be analyzed and probably can find the solution required for your case.
For now, I can only recommend to :
- increase your OS page file since your RAM is 8 gb and that GPU memory also small.
- try to reduce amount of service running at background at msconfig ( disable all except all windows, processor , gpu, sound )
- turn off any overlay function from any app.
- check laptop power setting, in case it was changed into power saving rather performance.
- if you have any mod installed like gshade, remove them.

Uhh, you won't like what i'm about to say.
Currently there is a bug with the installation or updating.
It keep saying not enough space while you have lots of space. No idea why such a bug keep triggered.
Best advice is to keep deleting stuff and rebooting device before attempt to install or update.
Note, while the game files require ~15GB ( and more with each update ), it will require extra ~5GB to run properly.
When installing or updating, recommend to have at least ~40GB of empty space.

If that won't work for whatever reason, logout completely from game and launcher. Make sure launcher is not running at background or system tray.
Find and delete input.ini file at : %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Hotta\ folder.
Then test the game again.

But I guess you are an active player since launch, the game always create session file which is safe to delete.
Those files can be in form of logs or crash reports and spread between user data folder and game + launcher folder.

Was your previous gpu also an AMD product or different ? Just in case there is nvidia driver product not properly cleaned up and somehow make the game choose wrong device.
the previous was AMD. Before that i had a rig wich had several different graphcs cards, including a 1070... then got it a Vega 64, i worked like a dream

Your antivirus might got in the way of the launcher updater.
If you are using 3rd party antivirus, you'll need to add whole game and launcher folder into exclusion.
If you're not using 3rd party antivirus, the easiest way is :
- delete your launcher folder, ONLY THE LAUNCHER, NOT THE GAME.
- download launcher from TOF official website.
- install it at previous location.
- you might need to tell the launcher on where is your game files.

Logout from launcher and mnake sure launcher is not running at background or tray.
Then go to %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Hotta, find input.ini file . Delete input.ini file then run game again. You might need to set the other setting again.
Is this already with view hidden devices set to on ?
