Thank you, I have sent an email. I am certain this is the correct account because the NA Alt character loads fine. I initially signed up with my facebook account and then binded my facebook account to my google account. I have logged in via all methods available to me (email, facebook) and the result is the same. The Nightfall character loads normally, while the Lyramiel character behaves as though it doesn't exist. Hopefully the support team at the email address can help because I would suck to lose the money I've spent on that character.

for starters, is your PC wired (ethernet) or wirless (wifi)?

uninstalled game from launcher. didn't remove launcher.
deleted tof folder that is left behind after uninstall
deleted nvidia directxcache (also did a disk cleanup on c drive afterwards, ticked every box. tho with this, manual deletion should be redundant)
redownloaded game

now the game actually opened ^.^

it's related to having a custom keybind for L before the patch dropped

will need to edit input.ini in the game files and change whatever line is bound to Key=L to something unused

You have to teleport for the settings to take effect for some reason. I changed mine to smoke, teleported, used skill and smoke ammo is the first one.

In the previous version, Wanderers were required to complete 6 chapters of main story missions in Aesperia to enter Vera. But in the new version, you only need to advance to Chapter 1-04 to enter Vera.

they "downgraded" the Aesperia prologue arc to no longer be part of the "required" storyline to reach Vera (which I can understand - 1.0 was just janky in terms of storyline and exploration). iirc it should be in the Memories section now, though not sure how to access it since I've cleared mine long ago

as for your login error, honestly no idea. it could be related to the usual "Login Status Exception". Try logging out of the launcher, logging back in, and booting up the game again. The sometimes works for me. Also try disabling VPN, because that also sometimes has an impact (I often encountered that issue when playing from two different PC's at home/office)

hopefully they can fix it later so that you can "come back" to the Aesperia storyline, though honestly once you've played Vera storyline, the Aesperia storyline feels so poor/janky in comparison except for a few moments. Once the devs fix the bug, probably worth returning to the Aesperia storyline afterwards if you really want to experience it first hand.

Tho if you want to just play, the very short summary of Aesperia storyline is that ||you find Zach, who "saves" Shirli by making her a cyborg, ie. "Nemesis", with the "help" of the Heirs of Aida. Then stuff happens with the Heirs of Aida fighting them as a result, and Zack disappears, and now you're helping the new main character Nemesis/Shirli find her brother Zack (who is suspected to be in Vera, which is another dimension before backstory catastrophe stuff that happened which split planet Aida into multiple dimensions)||, and you can now continue the Vera storyline normally with that background information.

Take a look under "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Hotta\Saved\Crashes" and see if you see any folders in this location. [or, Saved_Steam, if the Steam version]

Assuming they’re being generated: If you can archive a couple of the most recent of these crash-dump folders {e.g, with winrar, winzip, 7zip, etc} and send me them (via DM's) – would be glad to take a look and see if we can figure out what’s going on there.

@rustic cobalt – Blackscreen crash that you’re facing similar to what ‘MalungkotnaChunchunmaru’ posted? If yes, same as above, please check for the existence of crash-dumps.

This behavior is part of the "multiprocessing" feature of CEF, which the embedded browser is based on {both for the client and launcher}. Admittedly this does chew up memory [since Windows has no concept of process-forking], though the OS should reclaim a part of the overlap automatically in the background {despite that this isn't reflected in the per process stats}.

@hollow sigil – Generally instances like this tend to be connection-oriented, despite only appearing to happen on a single server, and even though your other connections faired no different. For instance, if you were to create a new character on Libera (using another account) – odds are strong that you’d be able to complete the login-process on that character.

As you play a character, acquire items, level up, gain weapons .. the data associated with a character grows, and this increases the data exchanged during the login process. Which, in turn raises the likelihood of something going wrong in the initial exchange for login.

Routing issues like this to clear up on their own just as abruptly as they start, and that’s likely what will happen here.... However, if it doesn’t clear up, then you’ll need to get both your ISP and Tower of Fantasy’s support involved here. In the case of the ISP, you'd want to explain the service that you're having connectivity issues with (e.g, mention Tower of Fantasy), and when contacting Tower of Fantasy's support, you'd want to provide details on your ISP / where you're connecting from [along with your IP address].

^ The goal is to have both ends (your Internet Provider and Tower of Fantasy's support) look at routing in each direction, and hope that something problematic is found (in either direction).

No matter what, you'd want to #game-support to get an investigation rolling. Support may also be able to recommend troubleshooting steps that we can't, that otherwise would breach the user-agreement.

Poor performance i think since i play on a low end laptop. But this time its much worse. Before the new update its tolerable. Around 24fps. Now its only around 15 and i get delays . Also set the game to low all turn off anything . But still laggy

Far as laptops go, you can lower the resolution of the Windows Desktop, and this can sometimes help tremendously -- the game will respect the Desktop's Res, in fullscreen. Especially if that's an IGP (integrated graphics processor) you're on.

Normally Tower of Fantasy's installation will have two files in the following folder:

If you find the following two 'extra' files, their removal should correct the error and get the game launching once more.

Closing the game and launcher, wiping the contents of the following folders (performing a full reset), then logging back in usually does the trick in situations like this.

Just move the mouse over the edge of the window. The cursor should change into another icon. Click and hold and drag it to change size.

For Rin, it seemed to be a setting in Nvidia Shadowplay. Looked like the Alt+R hotkey for displaying whatever it's assigned to got changed to webcam facing you.

ok, not sure if this is the right channl but here goes anyway, how do i delete my tower of fantasy account as i can no longer play the main story from the beginning as it will not let me continue from where i left off since update 2.0, witch has really annoyed me to the point that im not botrhered about playing it anymore, even though i have spent alot of cash on this game, and when i say alot i mean more than £500 since the release of the game itself. and now i cant even continue with the first chapters anymore so i will cut my losses and delete my account and stop playing, so could someone let me know how to delete the account?

You guys need to improve the servers, there's way too much lag, almost to the point it's unbearable, also, what's the point of the in-game feedback system if when i try to use it it gives me this messages even when the details are correctly introduced:

technically speaking, there's a bug with how they implemented the Aesperia update, which makes earlier Aesperia quest chapters suddenly inaccessible for players who haven't finished it yet. and yeah, it's really bad. dunno when that'll get fixed, and it would definitely annoy me as a story-oriented player. if you're willing, you can just start the Vera storyline for now, and just pretend that a story-skip happened (at least until the devs get their s h t together and patch it)

as for deleting your account, if you're really commited to it, there's: https: //blog.en.uptodown.com/tower-of-fantasy-how-to-delete-a-character-and-reset-progress/, though I'd probably just recommend just uninstalling and forgetting about the game until maybe 3.0 or so again, just in case you change your mind months later. Even I took a hiatus from 1.1 until 2.0 because the game way was just an utter turn-off back then, but Vera won me over and made me want to stick with the game again (tho it's honestly still quite janky)

Filed a bug report with the discord about my controller support bugs seems like it don’t matter whether you’ve the cursor summoned or not it should switch to mouse mode

Thanks for the info, i will give it some time then and see what happens in futher updates but i really dont want to chapter skip as its a large part of the main story and i am very story driven when it comes to playing any game, if the story dosnt intrest me then i stop playing it, but i really do enjoy the story of this, i just dont like how they are implementing the updates, and like i said in my main post i have spent alot on this game for passes and other such things, so thanks again for the info and i will give it a little more time to see what happens

yeah, I do get that (since you do have an ffxiv avatar, and I also play that game rotating alongside gnshn as my "main" games). also, aesperia story is conceptually interesting too (even though the implementation of the quests/cutscenes/dialogue are very janky - I just pretend they're ARR questlines with the jank of 1.0 too, and that Vera is HW )

hopefully the devs turn things around, because the promise of the story (and exploration) is the only thing keeping me in this game too (I don't really bother with the "MMO" aspect much myself)

Is there a way to fix the race car fps drops? Like when you crash into something (the spark effect) and boosting will cause a major drop in fps. I find that restarting the game helps, so maybe a memory issue? Or is it a known bug?
