So all instances, such as; Void Abyss, Raids, Joint Ops etc are hosted through one IP Address, ported (channels) to multiple internal servers in the server farm, per region. (which makes crossplay possible).

If Void Abyss is the only instance with lag issues. that means the internal server Void Abyss is on could be having a malfunction/overload/bottleneck etc.

Best possible scenario I could come up with for this.

Something else could be at play, such as human error.

Yea, your GPU (or moreover CPU - intel graphics) is under the minimum of requirements. 2410M is rly old and is capable with directX 10

and TOF supports D3D11 and D3D12

Even if u somehow getting client to start, It might not the best gaming experience :3

@hidden peak – Could you check if there’s any crashdumps that were generated on the latest Nvidia drivers? If there are, I’d definitely be curious to see a copy of your dumps.

-- I recall your being on a laptop {4800H + RTX 2060}, yet with the IGP completely disabled and the discrete graphics directly driving the display. Would have expected the latest drivers to work on a 2060 Mobile.

@undone crystal – As stated in that DM I sent you some time back, a-lot of the people who have that error on attempting to bind a Steam Account (externally) find that they “can” if they log in explicitly through the Steam version’s launcher.

-- Unfortunately, this isn’t something that I’ve personally tested (binding a Steam Account externally), and also don’t know how widespread the issue is [have only seen a few people encounter this]. Acquiring the Steam Version will ‘likely’ succeed in performing the binding {in that the Steam Account sign-in is implicit on the launcher version -- no action required} .. yet if it doesn’t then this is something that would definitely requiring you to #game-support for further investigation.

Given you no longer have access to your Twitter Account, which I assume means that you can no longer sign in that way any-longer in order to verify that the account binding is shown [or to try again], the only thing that I can suggest trying here is to clear out the launcher and game's config / caches --entirely-- {assuming this was through the Windows / PC client}.

Close the game and launcher, then flush the contents of the following folders:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\tof_launcher\
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\tof_launcher_Steam\

@worthy forge – In your screenshot, the temperature of that graphics card looks a bit high for the reported load. Since performance eventually climbs up to 120fps, are you certain that thermals are under control?

@wanton shale – It used to be possible to change an email through binding "another" sign-in method, unbinding the Custom Account, and then binding a new one. Since Vera’s release (2.0), the ability to unbind a sign-in method through the ‘Account Center’ was removed {for the sake of user safety}. For a period of time, this was offered via a form provided through the ingame helpdesk. {see #game-support } This form was later suspended, pending further revisions to the account binding system.

-- If it’s not critical, there’s no method to do so at this time. On the otherhand, should there be a critical-reason that you need to change your access method immediately {such as in the case of suspected account breach, compromise, or otherwise losing access to a sign-in method} – Customer Support will of course still assist you. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them, even if the automated request form is closed. {e.g, unique situations can still be explained, and would still be handled}

If account compromise is suspected, please make sure that you secure your device and any associated email accounts (if possible, the original – if not, whatever you’re currently using), first and foremost. More suspect that if the GPU is that hot, the chassis might also be elevated temps {breathing hot air}, and the CPU throttling after the loading screen {when all cores are momentarily pegged}. -- Back off the load, temperatures come down, performance goes back up.

Reason that I asked on the Vera bit, is because after 2.0 dropped, the ability to unbind accounts through the account center was removed. This would make it very unlikely to be a case of account compromise.

Were you using a persisted login (launcher remembered) up to this point? Any potential for instance that you were using a third party account before -- and not a Custom Account? Yet perhaps signing in now using a Google as plain old email (gmail), whereas you weren't before.

Is here a good place to talk about Umi underperfomance in teams without Lyra? Just for the poor Whip pre heat for magic show? DLSS is upscaling technology , that will render the game in lower resolution but upscaled using Tensor Cores

Quality = maintaining High quality image , just example if you are running in 1920x1080 the renderes resolution is probably its 17xx by 9xx but upscalied using Tensor Cores AI

Balanced = Balanced for Visual Quality and FPS Boost , same as that one , but in balanced mode its now running in 1600x900 and upscaled to 1920x1080

Most likely a routing issue specifically to the game's servers. Whenever you sign in through the launcher on the PC client {using your original sign-in method}, do you see your Google Account listed as bound {from the Account Center}? Assuming that’s a yes, then double check that you’re signing into the correct account, and not via gmail as plain-old-email – through the Google icon on the mobile device.

@bronze fog – Frequent crashes are definitely-abnormal and tend to point to a hardware or software issue, data corruption, and or being on older / legacy hardware.

That said, for general security of a game-account I’d mention that plain-old-email sign-in does not support Two-Factor-Authentication. External sign-in providers such as Google on the otherhand do support TFA {and are thus more secure if your physical device is ever compromised}.

If you want to maximize security yet want a backup means to sign-in (if there’s issues with Google’s account system), remember that you can also make use of the other third-party providers.

@drifting elbow – This is possible, yet not so easy. Essentially the game ‘requires’ administrative elevation due to loading a kernel-driver. {the included anti-cheat}

The two common methods to bypass a UAC prompt are either through creation of a Windows Scheduler entry, ‘or’ via launching the application from a Windows Service (services can inherently be elevated and auto-start promptless + launch another process elevated). Unfortunately the game does not provide any mechanism to do either of these.

The easiest way to do this yourself would probably be via the Windows Scheduler {creating a task for the launcher process}, and using the “Run with highest privileges” checkbox. Generally I’d discourage trying to avoid UAC prompts though. {for security implications that both bypass methods carry}

Platform Services would refer to external OAuth based sign-in providers, think of things such as "Google" here, where a Google Account can be used either as 'gmail' (plain-old-email), OR through Google's external provider linked via the Google Icon at the bottom of the login screen.

I've reviewed the section of the guide you've linked on UAC bypasses. Yes, this is essentially what I was talking about with the Windows Scheduler and would work.

You'd be doing this for "Steam" instead of the game or launcher process directly. If Steam is elevated, then games launched through Steam would carry the same elevation {without a prompt being thrown}.

That said, we'll be removing that link due to the nature of that it's not generally a good idea to encourage user made bypasses, as these could potentially be exploited by a malicious actor.

Are you certain that Steam was launched elevated via your scheduler-task? My expectation is that it was not--

“Run with highest privileges” for a scheduler entry will only launch the process with its manifest’s requested privilege level. Steam does not request administrative elevation, so you’d need to use Windows’ “Run this program as administrator” compatibility setting in tandem {on the Steam process}, or use Microsoft's Compatibility Administrator {not included with Windows by default} to provide an override.

-- That said, I’d still strongly recommend against doing this to begin with. It’s a bad security practice and you’re going to cause unforeseen issues accidentally launching applications elevated that do not need to be.

If Steam wasn't closed, the launched (duplicated) would simply bump the prior into the foreground, then close itself. Meaning you'd be left with an un-elevated Steam, the old.

Can't stress it enough though, your mechanism will launch everything that you load via Steam 'as admin'. This has security implications, and can also break things. It would be better to simply learn to live with the UAC prompts.

Just based on the description so far, it sounds like TDR's. The machine going down is probably a BSOD, even if you can't see the display. aka, a failed TDR {timeout display reset} where the GPU and its drivers doesn't come back afterwards.

Anyway, check for the existence of a minidump -- if they're being generated, we can figure that out for certain.

In this case, you can also check the Windows Event Viewer, System tab -- roughly around the time that it goes down. Windows would first attempt a TDR, then a delay would have to happen up until the OS declares it failed {or tries a second time}. But yeah, despite that these crashes are under very specific circumstances, that's also common for what you'd see in terms of borderline stability. You can also try raising the TDR-delay, since Windows only by default grants 2-seconds for drivers to respond to its watchdog events. {false flags are also possible, where the drivers are just very busy}

Personally I'd start by experimenting with stock / reduced clocks before anything else.

If you’re on the PC client, most common cause tends to be either drivers "or" software interference, usually in the form of something that uses D3D injection / overlays – do you have anything such as RTSS (RivaTuner Statistics Server) running on there, Discord's ingame chat-overlay, etc?

@cobalt kestrel – Since this has come up before – you’d retain access to your game account in that you would be able to sign in "through Twitter".. That said, even though this is the case (that you don’t lose access to your game-account), we’d strongly urge you to talk to support while you’re still in possession of all sign-in methods. {essentially as Drakve mentions}

Side note here: If your Google account is compromised, and someone is “suspect” to have access to your game account – deletion / closure of the Google will "not" evict them if they’re already signed into the game (through the launcher). For all matters of account security, the only means to secure an account sadly will require support’s assistance. {in the case of account compromise -- if that's what's going on here -- the recommendation would be to avoid opening a support exchange at-least initially through the helpdesk, and instead explain the situation via email. If someone has access to your game-account, they have access to your helpdesk conversations.}

Despite that the automated form to unbind an account has been closed via the helpdesk – support will of course still assist with an unbinding under circumstances that mandate it. {e.g, such as where access to an account is going to be lost, or where a malicious actor has breached your account}

Since we've already had a chat before, I know that your display is at 1080p. The launcher should be fitting in entirety, so this is likely caused by having a DPI scale higher than 100% set in Windows.

Or, is this caused by reducing the desktop res for performance? Probably not much that can be done there, since I recall this being dropped down quite a bit. You might need to separate your scripts to lower the desktop res after the launcher is started, or have a separate startup that keeps the desktop res high.

Ah, DLSS is only available for NVidia RTX class cards of the 20XX series and up.

The high GPU usage with integrated graphics would be sadly normal. You can try lowering the Windows' desktop resolution, which might help reduce your loads a bit -- {the game respects the Windows Desktop res when in fullscreen mode}

Tried toggling the game down to DirectX 11, rather than 12? Do you have your NVidia Control Panel settings (for the hybrid graphics) set to prefer the NVidia Discrete GPU in the global profile? (or in a profile for QRSL.exe)

Basically, with hybrid graphics {NVidia Optimus}, unless an application profile exists to steer the discrete GPU to be used -- the stock behavior is to prefer the integrated.

To clarify that a bit, you'll still see 'some' load on the integrated, even if your Maxwell Discrete is in use -- though this would be video copy rather than 3D work.

I was wondering, is it somehow possible to migrate an account to another region?

I was originally sorted into the "Eden" Server when I started, and only noticed at like lvl 20 that it was a JP not EU Server.

Now my ping isn't abysmal, but 100 isn't exactly good either.

Considering migration is an option, I grinded till lvl 40, and actually did end up spending some money. Only to find out now that I can't move to EU, but only other JP servers.

well not many really care about the ingame time since i think only 2 quests require specific time and in photo mode you can set the ingame time to what ever you want for better picture anyway.

I have a 1650 mobile the 50w version and I run ToF on high at 1080p 120fps with drops to 90.
Check if your graphic card driver it's up to date. Are you playing on laptop? If you're using a second screen only use the second one and not both.
Try to run the game on DX11 and DX12 and see how it goes.
Enable the last button on shading, it's like FSR from AMD.

As far as I have found out, if I put too much of a load on the connection [i.e., play an online video game that isn't browser based or download a file that has a size measured in gigabytes] then my pc jut disconnects from the network with the message "Connected without internet". I've already tried a few troubleshooting tips, but none of those worked.

• I disabled my antivirus (Norton 360)
• I don't have VPN
• I adjusted compatibility mode (enable it, disable full-screens optimizations, run compatibility troubleshooter
• I edited Registry (added TDRLevel and TdrDelay as suggested somewhere on Internet
• I did a game repair and I completely uninstall it
• I modified the config file with

Reason why I'm asking is because I didn't get a notification for the latest hotfix, nor did I get my 300 DC.

On launcher you can check both game version and launcher version but the compensation for hotfix is delivered independent from the game version, the requirements to claim the compensation is to reach lv 6 before the update

There's also some hotfix that don't require to shutdown the servers, this type of hotfix doesn't have compensation

Seems that the G-2425G-A is rebranded in this case, and Airtel also pushes updates automatically for their CPE’s. So odds are there’s no further firmware update available. None the less, you might try calling your provider and checking with them just the same. {sadly there’s not generic firmware available online that I can find}

Doesn’t seem that there’s any security features on the device out of the box that could explicitly cause what you’re seeing in the case of a malfunction, yet that’s not ruled out of course..

-- Despite that you claim wireless local-network is working {when the Internet goes down}, have you tried wired connection to the router? Probably the best way to quickly rule out any interactions with WIFI, and to make sure it’s just the router itself.

-- It does seem that your hardware supports “bridge-mode”, so in the worst-case you could use the ISP’s provided equipment as only a bridge – experiment and confirm that the game works with your PC directly-connected {meaning, with no router functionality}. If that worked, then you could just bypass the router’s role and add your own router {a secondary one} behind it.

^ Not pretty, yet as a workaround for any firmware defect / bug on the device, that might be the best bet if you’re locked into the ISP’s hardware here {no other router choices}.

@azure warren – If you check under the Windows Event Viewer, specifically the “Application” and “System” sections roughly at the times of attempting to start the game – do you see anything related to the launch {e.g, QRSL}, or otherwise of errors / warnings with a corresponding time incidence?

Far as some commentary on the other portions:

• “bPreferD3D12InGame” – no longer works: The newer launcher’s DirectX API selection (passed by command line) takes precedent over the config flag.

• With the disabling of NVidia’s NGX support, you’d generally still see a game-window open [if this feature was causing a crash], which to my understanding you’re not seeing at all- correct?

• TDR-Delay / Level – would only have an impact if you were seeing a graphics driver hang. Usually you’d see the screen go blank (lose signal) for a second or two minimally if this was happening. You’d also spot an event {for the driver-crash / recovery} logged in the Windows Event Viewer, System section.

I’m doubtful that this is driver related, or the graphics hardware specifically - since you mentioned that the new 3060 worked at-first. Best bet would be to start by digging through the Event Viewer, suspect since the game abruptly stopped working – is that some automatic software update is responsible.
It might be worth checking the update-history of everything that you can, including your security software, just to see if some update lines up with when the game stopped loading.

Hello, I'm having issues with the loading the game on my PC. It starts up with the level Infinite logo and then freezes, or black screens with the hotta noise playing when logo appears and then nothing. I've re-download the game, ran the game as admin, but I still get the same issue.

For de DEV team: After 4 months playing the game, I reached a point where I want to drop the game, even with content to do, and with some hope on the weekly events. The way the weapon material chests are converted to black materials "automatically", making you loose one week of door farming, the way the door anouncements for players without telling you the material you are going to farm when the leader initiates the door, the way you cannot maintain pushed the button to select chips to upgrade levels for the matrix or weapons, the way the last event bugs you to stay online each hour instead doing it whenever you want... is burning me out of space... i am so tilted with the game interface right now, that I am in the very verge of drop the game. Do something and correct / adapt the game to something functional or players will leave in mass.

Were you using your household connection whenever you tested on your phone? If you were, try using mobile data if that’s at all possible (e.g, if you’re not on an iPhone).

That's the unfortunate part of how the Internet works as a mesh-network of interconnected peers. The path taken to one game can be radically different than to another, even if the servers are in a similar location between the two.

There'll "probably" be other services effected, yet that might not include any that you use.

Anyway -- if it effects you, it effects others. People will likely be reporting services not working, and it'll get cleared up once the provider gets involved.

Yes, was using my wifi at the time. Although weirdly enough, I tried using VPN and then site somehow started working (altho google login is a bit iffy sometimes)

Use of a VPN can potentially alter peering, and result in taking a different route that avoids the problematic hop(s) that are causing connectivity issues. That said, the game's user-agreement prohibits their use. {specifically clause (s) of Player-Conduct}

Do be sure to contact Customer Support {see #game-support } and get clearance before doing things of that nature. In the long term, it'd also be a good idea to contact your Internet Provider and get them involved. In the case of the ISP, you'd want to explain the service that you're having connectivity issues with (e.g, mention Tower of Fantasy), and when contacting Tower of Fantasy's support, you'd want to provide details on your ISP / where you're connecting from [along with your IP address].

^ The goal is to have both ends (your Internet Provider and Tower of Fantasy's support) look at routing in each direction, and hope that something problematic is found (in either direction).

Since a VPN worked though, that confirms that there's a routing problem.

Same here, used to play since launch, drop the game for a while. Comeback today (Fate server) and bam "Server connection failed", any servers in other regions work fine. My ISP is SCTV tho.

If you’re in a region that has Tower of Fantasy on Steam, that’s another option vs downloading through the standalone launcher.

For iPhone uh. Not sure there is an option to clear the cache besides restarting. They can go In-game title -> Settings -> Switch accounts and login again.

Those menu functions don't work while in Artificial Island Building. You can however on PC get around some menus using the key Alt + 1, 2, 3 or 4 / Rewards, Wanderer's Log, Adventure or Wanderer's Supplies.

Since last update ToF is freezing often in fights on PC. I don't know, if the problem is the last update of windows, the amd graphic driver or ToF itsself. I can verify that ToF isn't blocked in VN, it's just some ISP is being weird, namely FPT. You can play normally if you use 4G tethering with your phone.
