Game crash to loading screen loop still happening in EU servers after 9 days of 2.0 update. Every single day hundreds of players have their game crash multiple times a day and are unable to log in and even play the game afterwards. Still the developers have not adressed this issue after receiving thousands of complaints on support email.

Hello guys, my game is having stuttering every few seconds on open world, no matter the graphics settings its always the same.
FPS is locked to 120fps, no fps drop, only stutters and thats pretty annoying.

There are known issues with Hyper-V enabled, and I've seen reports of this with people who had WSL 2.0 on systems, in that it requires / activates Hyper-V. -- Hyper-V is a type-1 hypervisor, and the main OS instance itself is virtualized, not just user installed VM's.

Would be curious if removal got the game running, yet it's also not guaranteed. In total I've seen six players (since the game's launch) that experienced stuff like this {pretty uncommon}. Another possible culprit is security software, specifically anti-ransomware, blocking the engine from writing in to AppData.

• If you run "driverquery" from a command prompt. Do you see any entry for ksophon_x64.sys? Might be interesting to see if the engine is closing before the installation of it happens.

• Might also be worth checking the Windows Event Viewer, application section, and making sure that it's not crashing -- yet not writing a crash-dump.

@bleak rivet -- Seems that you were blackscreening, reinstalled the game -- and this did not resolve such. However, something changed situationally and this turned into that 'QRSL_es.dll' missing or corrupted prompt.

Normally this engine library and the other libraries included with the installation would only be written whenever the launcher performs an update. If the files are being changed, blocked, or removed outside of an update -- it tends to be from protection software {AntiVirus or otherwise} being tripped.

The library itself or any other missing files that get removed, can be restored from a launcher 'repair'. However, this might happen again without first looking through logs or quarantine folders and determining what exactly removed it / adding an exception.

• It sounds like you've taken care of this, and gotten the game back to the point that you're hitting a blackscreen on startup. I understand that you're frustrated, yet please shoot me a DM at your convenience.

@runic imp -- Looks like you're running on a "Radeon 6800" from the GPU-Z screenshot. The card itself is nowhere near maxed out, and so you're likely hitting a CPU bottleneck here -- although I don't know what the rest of the system is of course.

• One possibly-free performance boost might be to upgrade to AMD's 22.10.2 drivers, especially if you're currently on 22.5.1 (which is before AMD's massive DirectX 11 API optimizations went in).

@digital monolith -- Thanks for confirming that you didn't lose your data and that this was a binding issue.

@hardy dawn -- If your desktop's resolution is higher than 1348x904 {minimum size bounds of the launcher window}, then odds are the launcher not fitting on the screen has to do with Windows' DPI scaling settings. {e.g, having a high scaling set of over 100% -- lowering scaling would remedy this}

@waxen needle -- Hard to say in this case, since your screenshot shows the game running at 69 fps {not at one of the common FPS limiter thresholds}.

• Usually the best place to start would be looking at CPU and GPU usage metrics and trying to determine what the bottleneck is.

However, if you're suspect that some broken combination of game-settings got you in to this situation, then it's also possible to reset the game's settings to factory-defaults by wiping out the contents of the following folder:
"%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Hotta\*" {when the game and launcher are closed}

---> and then re-launching the game

First, try the basics such as resetting all Internet Equipment (router, modem, etc) -- assuming you have not already. Has this been something recent, or long going? If it's recent, then connection issues might clear up just as abruptly as they began.

Should the problem persist long-term, then you'd need to contact your ISP and Tower of Fantasy's support for assistance here.
In the case of the ISP, you'd want to explain the service that you're having connectivity issues with (e.g, mention Tower of Fantasy), and when contacting Tower of Fantasy's support, you'd want to provide details on your ISP / where you're connecting from [along with your IP address].

^ The goal is to have both ends (your Internet Provider and Tower of Fantasy's support) look at routing in each direction.

• This may be done via the in-game helpdesk, which is accessible from the upper-right corner of the "settings" page. For a more detailed guide, please refer to the #game-support channel.

@stone plank -- Most likely you're on an NVidia RTX Graphics Card. In jist, interaction between the engine and DLSS is known to cause video-memory leakage for many people. Since DirectX managed resources can be swapped to system memory, this spills over into system memory once VRAM is depleted.

• Disabling DLSS through the ingame settings should immediately drop your memory consumption. You'll also find a "pin" on this topic with a more permanent solution to disable NVidia's NGX support completely.

@rich quartz -- For some players disabling the Steam's Ingame-Overlay gets performance onpar with the standalone launcher variant of the game.

Unfortunately, doing so also will prevent access to the store and everything else that uses Steam's browser interactions. I'm not certain if this requires other overlay software present for there to be a hit, and would be interested to hear back if you find that disabling the Steam-Overlay improves performance.

• Please let me know over DM's, since if this does work for you then I'd also like to collect more information on your hardware, software, and operating environment.

Re-downloading the "MiniLoader" (installer) from the Tower of Fantasy Global Website, and re-running it. This would not result in losing the installed game-data.

If any files were wiped out, or damaged, for any reason --in the launcher folder. Then this is like doing a repair of the launcher, so to speak.

Adding the launcher and game folders to these programs whitelists may prevent incidents like this happening again.

Ah, if this isn't something immediately recent -- and if you've not used / accessed the account since the Vera Update, and especially if this was a "Custom Account" sign-in, this is something that'll need to be investigated by customer-support.

Game-Accounts in Tower of Fantasy are "loosely" associated with sign-in methods, and can be migrated off a sign-in method if anyone were to have gained access to the account / learned your credentials [at least -- in the past, this changed after Vera, where unbinding requires contacting support now]. If a sign-in method is unbound / disassociated from a game-account, and if you use that sign-in method, this is in effect like generating a new account.

Since you likely don't have access to the associated game-account {in that the characters are missing}. The helpdesk ingame won't be too helpful here in locating your characters and figuring out what happened.

This is a good example. There's clearly a CS miscalculation here. Just looking at the base stats on the first picture and the resist flat stats on the 2nd. And as you can see the purple engine doesn't have a Star yet when the yellow is already at 4*. The game is not calculating accurately here. The 25.87% volt resistance gives an additional 833 flat resist on my character stats and the 3.1% HP gives an additional 39,701 flat HP but why is it only giving me 970 CS.

I'm gonna be honest and saying this from my experience, I lost my account the same way as you did but I used Gmail to create the in game account and I've been using same gmail to log in to my account all the time. Then a week later for some reason my gmail was no longer connected to my account and when I try to log in using the same gmail a new account was created with it. I tried contacting tof support and they weren't able to help me at all thank fully I wasn't that far in the game so I didn't have that much to lose lol. But, if you start over or manage to get your account back make sure you atleast log in each day in get in game so nothing happens.

@bleak hollow -- Disabling DLSS increases GPU usage, as DLSS performance-mode renders the game at half-resolution. You can reduce the resolution scale (detailed in a recent pin), as a workaround for now -- though this will probably not look as good as DLSS does as an upscaler.

@heavy rock -- Your driver's vsync enforcement should suffice, at least on NVidia and AMD's side. I'm assuming that the ingame vsync option does not work for you.

If "VersionService" is missing, most likely security software on the machine has removed it. You'll need to whitelist the \Tower of Fantasy\ game-folder, and then re-download and re-run the installer for the launcher {as initially downloaded from the Tower of Fantasy Global Website}.

Re-installer the launcher over the existing installation, should replace any missing files. You might also be able to restore these files from "Quarantine" in your AntiVirus software.

and even though they say "optional", I am sure it matters a great deal.

On google/reddit for example,
I've seen some people be accused of "account selling" and other things.
These accusations would never happen if you have bank details.

And I know someone who's League of Legends account was hacked,

and since I had spent money,

yeah it happens very often while loading to any instanced content and you can't log back in after disconnect (for like 10-20min). It is very frustrating that it was not fixed until now. The bug is there since the Vera release. What are they even doing there? This bug is very critical, i am on the edge of quitting until they fix it.

Ever since vera was released,while I am in vera and a cut scene is played,there is a very high change after that I will not be able to jump by using my gamepad
One of the fixes is to just teleport to somewhere or enter=>exit bygone(basically something that will make the game show the loading screen)
