Before you do anything now is, bind your account to any of those options, google, Twitter or Apple. (Don’t use Facebook login, only brings issues). So after you did one above, you can continue, you will logout of the Account, close the game - Reopen the game, Login into your Account and then it should work again ✌🏻

with the number of problems im seeing it looks like 98% of them are related to the pc client so the question we should be asking is why are we using the client that has almost all the problems? It literally is the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome i think there needs to be a reed only channel here under a category of tower solutions that has a list of all verifiable working fixes to the problems that are constantly being reposted over and over again

i tried to install the game on another windows machine i had in the house and somehow it runs technically better than my laptop which should be stronger
to give an idea the my laptop has a 3070 and a ryzen 5800H while my desktop has a rx580 and a ryzen 2600x.
Somehow it runs cleaner even at Fine settings and i don't have the weird issue of my mouse inputs randomly failing for no reason, only downside is 60 fps vs 120 but it's not really that noticeable.

@rocky quarry -- Sounds like you're incorrectly being geolocated. This is something you'll likely need to contact your ISP about and or Google's support, provided that you've no form of a VPN running at the moment.

@odd nacelle -- Jason repeatedly fell off the steps / ledge and got stuck for myself as well. You can abort the mission by leaving the mission area, and try again killing the enemies with different positioning, or try to let him engage the enemies before running ahead of him.

@stiff ocean -- Since you assert the machine worked before an OS reinstall or upgrade, will shoot you a DM to collect more details. {very likely driver related}

@barren osprey -- Memory usage looks high, so does CPU usage in the screenshot -- with no clear sign of where the usage is from.

Given the laptop has 16GB of memory, yet the game process' usage is fairly low, while system memory usage is close to Windows' 80% threshold / reservation. One possibility is that Windows 10's (or 11's) "memory compression" feature has kicked in, and that the OS is constantly swapping to compressed memory. {This might explain the CPU usage or drop in performance over time}

--> Would recommend taking a look at at the details tab {of Task Manager} and specifically looking at page-faults generated by 'QRSL.exe'. If these are happening constant, or if the performance tab shows compressed memory growing over time, it's probably that the system is out of memory -- and just deceptive due to the newer tiered swap system being in use. [even if you don't witness disk thrashing]

If that's the case, you'll need to look for where the memory is going / what's leaking it over time that requires a reboot to flush.

Though good intentioned, we can't permit user distributions of game files given we can't endorse or screen them all.

Any advice on repairs will need to be done through the launcher, or reinstallation of the launcher via the MiniLoader -- given if we don't follow a stance like this, eventually someone will become compromised as a result.

About laptops and memory/cpu excessive usage windows updates sometimes breaks defender and anti malware services if it’s anti malware thats broken the disk usage will be at 100% with no actual read/writes take place the only fix for that is using a program like wise force delete and right clicking on anti malware services in taskmanager and clicking open file location then delete the .exe if its defender your cpu will be pegged at 99% use all the time same fix as the previous one this only seems to happen on laptops i work in it and weve had hundreds of our very powerful portable workstation that are basically laptops come in with this problem and it’s directly tied to windows updates breaking the os

You can try updated drivers, though this usually does not alleviate the symptoms. Some people had luck with changing display resolutions, opening and closing certain menus, or actively changing resolution back and forth in the settings.

Short of that -- the only option is probably to appeal to Intel's Driver Team for a more permanent fix. Or in the case of a desktop, adding a discrete graphics card.

@last saffron tbh i have heard of entire accounts suddenly vanish even when bound that is not because it was hacked it is because somone screwed up at the game server side and hit the wrong button while working yes account can be hacked but to do that they would need your email and password either from an already compromised account like a gmail account Facebook or twitter or other binding account service that is linked to the account if you think your hacked change all your passwords now on all accounts that have the same passwords and have a professional computer service shop check your pc/iOS/android device for malware and keyloggers

i do have a way to see if its gone make an unbound alt account on the same server and join the crew your missing character is in then go to the crew tab and select crewmates and look for the character in the list

that will tell you if it still exists and if somone else is using it because it will have a time since last login listed as well

I think so but i think binding to the same account used to activate the game is a good idea because it usually has a cid number tied to the email that your activating which is further proof you own the account if its bound to the same as the activation one also the more account you bind the more difficult it is to swipe because the pid /uid is associated with several different accounts each of which you can prove are yours and normal people don’t change their names locations and IP address in 60 seconds to a completely different country that by itself is a red flag that the new user is noT the real owner

ps the cid number and hwid associated with it becomes invalid if you have reinstalled the game

well as long as both accounts are not active at the same time shouldn’t get banned for multiple accounts but im surprised that it let you bind a second account already has the first character been deleted already ?

have you used alt key +f4 to close the window then rightclik on the desktop and go to display settings and try setting it to a minimum resolution of 1920x1080 if it supports something higher than that try setting it to the biggest resolution it has also change the zoom from 150-200% to 100% and make sure magnifier is not running @light adder

when i do use pc for this game its on a monitor that supports 4096x2160 resolution the game itself has a maximum resolution on windows of 1280x720 but it fills a 4k 55 inch tv however it sounds to me like your having a gpu scale issue thats not just affecting the game what graphics card do you have

5 client not downloading the files or creating directory

Yeah that'll be a big problem. Genshin is more optimized than ToF far as I can tell but it also runs on older cards because it's more dated. ToF recommend like a 1050 or 1070 for medium settings so that's all.

I had this happen to me aswell with my Archivements, it’s probably a bug. Wasn’t able to figure out what caused that, so just kept going and since then never had any problems since.

It's very possible that components of the firewall are still active {as a passthrough}, even after disabling them. Have seen this a few times where the game would not connect or complete loading without a full removal of the firewall software.

@winged grail -- Image resolution is "1287x724". What's the native resolution of the monitor?

Most of the time it's a DPI issue when people hit a problem like this one, yet in this case it's probably just the resolution.

If anyone else is still encountering Login Status Exception, exiting the game! error, you just have to run the game as an administrator. Make sure to close the game and the launcher completely first by ending any processes related to ToF in Task Manager. Then just right click the shortcut and run as admin. Now if you are trying to log in the client with gmail or anything that prompts a browser tab to open and nothing opens, it means that you weren't able to run ToF as an admin properly. In that case try to make your user an admin using an existing admin user.

Keep in mind as well that there are cases that people experience when they get disconnected in the middle of the game because of sh8 wifi. In that case simply restart, close the game completely as stated above, run as admin, relogin.

The thing is, when they start up the game, it automatically starts the "game" itself as Admin. 🙂
That's why the Login Status Exception can only be solved when they, sign out of the launcher, close the Launcher with Task-Manager and reopen the launcher and just normally Login.

Edit: Btw the Task-Manager Option can't be used for Mobile, so Mobile users need to sign out, close the game, and then reopen it and Sign in again.

@bright brook -- It shouldn't be possible for this to happen {to take out your connection entirely}, however, it's also not unheard of for a certain pattern of network usage to trigger 'bugs' in consumer routers. Check if your router is still accessible at all, during the downtime, and see if its lights perhaps indicate the hardware restarting.

You might also skip doing the above and just check if there's new firmware, or if the updating to the latest solves the disconnections.

@bleak vine -- Since you say 'crashing' specifically, I assume that you see the game window at least for some brief-moment. Check under "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Hotta\Saved\Crashes" -- and see if there's subfolders in this location.

If there are, and if you can archive (e.g, winrar, winzip, 7zip) the crash dump folders and send them my way (via DM's), will take a look and see if we can figure out why the client is crashing.

I'm not sure if it helps but I just want to add this, I experienced this error literally few mins ago and checked the task manager. I ended/closed the "tof_launcher (32bit)" and opened the launcher again, it requires me to login my account again but the game works fine after that.

Hello. I have this problem when Im about to login, game not automatically let me login. I did use gmail login and not sure why it asked my region again and i click too fast perhaps and it listed as asia pacific instead of europe but that's on launcher. Can you try to just sign out and don't use Auto Sign in? after that u close the whole game in the Task-Manager and then reopen the game, login again and this should have fixed that.

Also if i understand correctly your previous Character isn't showing up on the region you played on?

Yes, a computer usually automatically sets the "Run as admin" to default when installing a software that needs that permission. However, in the cases for some users when they are in a non-admin account, the computer doesn't or fails to set it as default but this usually isn't a big deal since the user can just set it as default manually, so that's why it isnt always guaranteed that your game automatically will start up as an admin when running it for the first time.

Also, I don't think that this error happens for mobile users at all, and most likely it doesn't since mobile devices only has one user account that you can use, if you get what I mean, with PCs you can log into different user accounts when booting up and that's not the case for a mobile device so definitely there's no such thing as "run as admin" nor "task manager" for mobile devices.

To me that sounds like if it’s just this game it may be overheating the cpu or gpu I know on my rtx 3070 and a friends rtx3050 gpu that at 60fps tower was sending the temp of our brand new graphics cards through the roof as well as the cpu her cpu was hitting 130f 54.4c and both of our gpus were hitting close to 190f 87.7c with the cooling fans on them at full speed the game ran for 5 minutes then the pc shut off because the cpu got to hot on mine and on hers the gpu hit 200f 93.3c

That's a good airflow since you have 3 fans in the front ignore the fan that's pulling air from below.
Then the arrow that goes straight to the back, that's probably where your 4th fan is and the hot air is not getting pushed out too quick and stores hot air inside the case
