Then using metallic 0.9 and roughness 0.65 on the texture itself
And then adding a hdri background and messing with it until it looks nice

well the script does it for you, for texture you can just click File > external data > find missing files
if the ogf hud has it routed correctly just copy the texture path to it
then in blender it load the entire gun
if the texture is within one folder

Hey, I have a question. I wanted to build my own repos mod. I downloaded a mod that lets me set the weapons in the HUD editor. I then saved the data, which ended up in Cache_dbg.LTX. I moved the data from there to a separate folder called Weapon Repos/gamedata/configs. I named the LTX mod_system_weapon_repos.ltx. I then entered the new position data and activated it. But somehow the mod doesn't work (edited).

You need to use mo2 to install mods, its just way better

Simple reinstall doesn't work anymore for the base GAMMA version of ARC 3DSS. I had to split the mod, so I could update it without issues. The base GAMMA version was simplified in the process, so now it's just the reticles picked by Grok. And no fomod. 
You just tick the option in MCM - Ammo check

I want it to look like this: open the bolt, close the bolt - I'm not editing animations, just want to use existing ones.
There are animations called jadey_mosin_reload_open and jadey_mosin_reload_close
The full reload uses them and inserts jadey_mosin_reload_addcartridge between the two. I don't need that part.
The config has tri_state_reload = on and this:
anm_close = jadey_mosin_reload_close
anm_open = jadey_mosin_reload_open
anm_add_cartridge = jadey_mosin_reload_addcartridge
Here's my dltx-ed config:

You can't have two anims play at the same time

you can use upscaled classic textures, misery ground and grass 8k retextures, you could do ato 5 but ato 4 is better and then theres rotten life
for specifically only grass you can use c conciousness grass wich remakes grass meshes and textures that range from 8k to 4k

Your looking for repostion mods, But that would change both lowered and raised weapon posistions and "might" conflict with things if they didnt dltx properly

afaik you will not load anything dynamic into blender only static geometry(whole level without doors, boxes )unless you have maps sources and export whole scene from sdk

i still havent figured out the art of adding sights even after watching juans guide again
that is the config issue
be sure to check the sight config setup again
config is correct for the sight name, but the actual hud section ltx wise is invalid which doesn't let it go on the gun
as example :
the hud section ltx setup needs to path to the wpn_name and then create the hud with the sight name within it where the hud ltx line is and then make the actual item visual
its an edited version of the base ltx since i cant be bothered to do another seperate file

you can also check in real time edits when you hit F7, open the debug menu, hit num key 0, resets the system.ini and then hit F5 to quickload if you didn't know when you make edits and save them via the ltxs

Why might a bump texture on a weapon not use the blue channel that displays normals/heights?
I know that the texture itself is connected to the model, because I can see how the roughness is changing, but no changes are displayed on the blue channel, just like it itself
the bump texture does use blue channel
but it's for correct shading
since with fully blue channel it won't look so good
if you have your normal/bump like this
it will look incorrect inside of game
blue channel should have data from red and green channels

Как мне рассказывал Burn, это для того чтобы сделать текстурку менее PBR-шной и чтобы она подходила под сталкеровский движок

если я правильно понял про что ты, то лунатик в гайде своем так и делал, дергая уровни разных карт и каналов, я так же сделал
СВЧ уже с запечкой и доп. деталями

красный канал это у нас получается шероховатость, для чего добавлять детали в фш, если можно это сделать в сабстенсе и сразу же запечь

I found this colored icons for stat bar image on a mod's thread (Accurate Stats Extended UI Framework, to be specific) and tried looking + asking ppl for its source, but no luck

in gamma you only find dltx files like mod_systems_o or other (you need to dig in) . you can look those to override outfits values
however you still need the base files to have an idea what to override

Silly question: Would it be a huge time effort to replace an animation for a certain weapon and how does one actually do it?

you have gun
you put it over another gun and hope it suits the animation
after that you connect it to assigned bones and ur done
(the bones being vertex groups, which are just connected to certain parts of the gun)

open up the w_rsh12.ltx (i don't know what it's actually called) find the line that says scopes and add it. that is a guess i havnt tried.

Update: I made it work! All I had to do was add the .OGG files manually into the music/level/gamma folder.
Then I copied the "game_levels_music" LTX, added the name of my own .ogg music tracks, then I made a 7zip archive with gamedata/configs/game_levels_music. Then I added it at the bottom of my MO2 loadorder.
I very much appreciate the help! Now I can set up an awesome soundtrack/ambience tracklist.

I remember when I simply renamed the OGFs and thought I got away with a 3DSS patch 
hmmm okay new deagle anims are superior, but I wish I could shorten the reload time. Not neccessarily the animation, just the time before your bullets are topped up. Right now the timing is awkward because your mag is only filled right at the end of the animation, which is like a whole second after racking the slide. Can I edit something to reduce that delay?
That's the way every single animation works on the game
The ammo only appears at the end of the animation, when it ends
some guns get their ammo back immediately after racking the slide though, instead of having to wait until you re-shoulder the gun
