1. Ball Peen Hammers are a far cheaper and far more plentiful source for wood and metal scrap. Bought from Mechanics
2. You can also buy an axe and cut trees.
   Edit: re 2 If I remember correctly it tires you a lot so a good pre-sleep activity

In CS u have much more exploration than in CoPe tho, perhaps don't has 10000 scripted quests that have unique experiences but the exploration is big there, just isn't ur game

None of the maps are sooo big as Zaton or Jupiter but the exploration it's better implemented due to the freeplay-focus, global map in CS is more linear than it should be but it works, this of have a path "south to north" is smth that happens almost always and that doens't means that the exploration it's limited, in any case, the problem is the size of the maps, most of em are medium or small maps when big maps like Marsh work perfectly on his own thingi
