its so that you have 30 levels and also a rank system which however isent having a SBMM behind it
those 30 levels are static
once you reach them
they always stick and you never regress from them back down like in tarkov
however rank wipes
rank is like a little emblem that shows how unemployed you are
the higher you climb the harder it gets due to point rewards growing lower
requirements going up
and what the types of tasks that give you those points also decreasing
so if youre as example master III you can kill scavs for points and pmcs
however as soon as you reach ace your scav kills wont give any points to your rank anymore
so now you only gain rank due to pmc kills
also you start to loose more when you die
the system however in itself dosent represent real skill due to you also being able to just toss like 25m to t5 ammo and meta weapons and so carry yourself through fights which you usually wouldent win
in tarkov a timmy will probably not kill killa as example due to not knowing how to bait swings or having low pen ammo
if that timmy would instead have now a h4 w m995 that whole story changes and the gear can bridge that skill gap far enough that he could make it
its about the same in ab, skill does a ton yes, but gear does more.
