If u want honestly since the new update comes with so much good stuff u could open console and I believe put in "r2_sun_lumscale" and mess with the first number to get the shadows to be brighter and playable

I believe the higher the number the brighter shadows are, and the lower the darker

Something different than just an imbalance between shadow brightness is happening because it looks weird and untextured when i boost the brightness and gamma under basic light settings to absurd levels.

Anyway that console command didn't work because 3 is the max (my value was already at 2.98)

I believe I found the cause of the black shadow/spots. After updating gamma I compared atmos cfg file from atmosphere mod folder with atmos cfg of in anomaly bin folder I found that gamma did not update the file. I updated the file manually and it fixed the problem, but know after loading atmos cfg I noticed that shadows gradually goes black again and when I cheked r2_sun_lumscale_amb in console its value were decreasing till 0.25. Is it normal?

I have reinstalled anomaly again, and removed the modorganizer.ini. updating through the gamma launcher with the settings in the image and launching the game with the standard 443 mods removed the lighting issues. Ill try my modified mod list next and see if that still gives issues

• if you don't like campfire saves you can just disable it in YACS MCM. YACS lets you save in underground levels
• simple autumn retexture/gardener of the zone are both completely overwritten by aydin's grass, don't bother enabling them. if you want dead looking foliage, just right click -> reinstall aydin's grass and pick winter preset.
• DO NOT USE Momopate's Loot Stabilizer, incredibly fucking buggy and removed from the modpack at Momopate's own request
• "Longreed's fixed artefacts spawns under maps" from Disabled doesn't work IIRC

mods that add new items/models to the game (such as mags redux), cannot be removed mid-playthrough. IF it turns out your save was fucked, this drastically reduces options for troubleshooting, and that's why we say make sure the game works vanilla first

Quick guide on how to enable anims in-game:

2. Add it in your MO2 (use !ctrlm in https://discord.com/channels/912320241713958912/1012510897136222293 to learn how to) and enable it.
3. Find Asnen's and Grok's better cigarettes animations in MO2 -> right click it -> Open in explorer -> open Gamedata folder -> scripts folder -> open take_item_anim.script using any notepad. Remove "false--" from line 22. Save it.
4. Find Teivaz's Gunslinger Exo Animations Port in MO2 -> right click it -> Open in explorer -> open Gamedata folder -> scripts folder -> open enhanced_animations.script using any notepad. Remove "false--" from 61 and 68 lines. Save it.
5. Disable G.A.M.M.A Reliable Animation settings in MO2.
   Now, that you have unblocked FDDA MCM settings, you can enable those animations in-game using MCM settings.

Do it at your own risk. Those animations can cause Busyhands .

hey i was playing gamma and i was running around in the truck cemetery and randomly got an error, crashed my game and i reloaded the autosave which also crashed my game.

i went to an earlier save and went to the truck cemetary again, in which it was incredibly laggy and parts of the UI failed to load. i loaded the autosave and the game crashed.

Hi there. I have an issue where when I kill a rookie named "Solid" in Army Warehouses, my game crashes. Apart from some texture mods I only use the Warfare Overhaul. Though I am not sure it is related to that as it is very character specific

The game also crashes without an error window. :/ Right the moment I headshot the guy and the guy specifically, boom.

This time I killed him via Console and nothing happended. A while later the game crashed though. The IDs are less than 35k so thats probably not it

My best advice is to try to reupdate gamma again and afterwards not touch the zone reality mod you said u added to see if it will work

the core problem is that you cannot just copy paste the gamma folder anywhere because its filepath names are too long to be copied normally (yes really)

• package up your anomaly directory, and your GAMMA directory except for GAMMA/mods into a pen drive
• tell them to paste the results onto the root of a drive
• run the GAMMA Launcher as admin and click "install"

• then you tell them to also manually install your custom mod shit (this part is on you)
• then they can pick your custom mod profile in MO2 (assuming you made one of those)

if you want to be slightly nicer, for that first bullet point, you can include GAMMA/mods/the folders for the mods you personally installed

instead of just excluding that entire folder

that way your custom mods (with your custom install choices) will be preserved for them

no matter what though you're going to need your friends to understand what the fuck a file path is

Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

been having this issue since last night, Dry was trying to help me, had me open the GAMMA installer and do the install/update GAMMA, i resolved the "this exe is being used by another program" issue but still having this error when trying to start a new game

it appears that the install/update GAMMA option worked properly, is there some way for me to track down what file is causing this and replace it manually? my game worked fine some months ago when i was playing it last, i came back to stalker, added some new mods and updated the modded exes and started getting this error, removed the added mods and still getting this error. no idea why

I've looked through EVERY resource on this discord, but I simply cannot rotate the items on the horizontal axis from Hideout Furniture (Any of them).

I can go into the 'Advanced Mode' where I can MOVE the item without moving myself, OR rotate in Y, but I wanted to place a floodlight on the roof and slightly tilted downwards. I haven't been able to find out how to do this.

Pressing the buttons for 'Snap' or 'Fine Control' simply vanish the 'Place Item' overlay and I go back to nada.

This is the new "you can travel from this location" icon from Fair Fast Travel 2.9.
You can disable it in: Mod Config Menu -> Fair Fast Travel if you don't like it.

I get this error if I try to load my saves without 3dss enabled. also 3dss doesn't work on most guns unless i put weapon mods BELOW 3dss even when starting a new game

Getting this error when I move into new areas it seems. Reloading the game on the transition autosave seems to bypass it. Thus far it's happened from going from Rostok > Truck Cemetery and now Rostok > Army Warehouses.
Very new error that's only started occurring 5 in-game days into the game.
Noticeably only started happening when I applied a fix for the lightning anomaly being super bright.
Only noticeable additional mods being used are HD models and the Lighting Anomaly fix mentioned in the line above.

Sooo .. i was trying to be a bit of a 'HOARDER' 😛 and was using Hidden Furniture (OG + the Additional One) to build a sweet apartment complex in Rostok ...

Have you updated your launcher to V6?
The launcher is updated if:

I got a really odd one and this discord seems to have overall the most experienced modders for Anomaly, so figured I'd ask here, apologies if this is a bad place for it:
I'm having an issue where, after 10 - 20 minutes of play, whenever any sort of object is equipped (so my hands are rendered; basically if I have a weapon, detector, binocs, or bolt drawn on my screen. Confirmed this is the issue by turning off "show weapon" and the issue disappears.), my framerate has this consistent choppy stutter to it. It's not like the standard "every 5 seconds the game skips", but almost like watching a stop motion movie. It starts off barely noticeable and slowly becomes so intense it makes me nauseous to keep playing, usually before the 40m mark.
I'm playing on a nearly vanilla Anomaly install, but I tested it extensively on a pure, fresh install Anomaly with just modded exes.
I don't want to pester people for a solution, because I'm on a non-GAMMA setup, but I'm curious: Is this just a known issue of Anomaly, or is this definitely something purely on my end? I want to know if I should keep bothering trying to find solutions for this issue or if I should just give up and accept it.
Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask it since I'm not currently on a GAMMA install, if there's another Discord I could ask this in that's more widely applicable to Anomaly and offers support, I'll go there instead if someone can point me in that direction. :)

If you install the "01 - Ambient Occlusion" module, be sure to disable any vanilla AO option in-game ( Visual -> Advanced -> SSAO mode ). This is to avoid to render the AO twice. You need to restart your game to fully apply the setting.

I removed Free Zoom and replaced it with Focused Zoom.
