you download the zip, put it in the "shared" folder inside GAMMA EXT, then run the command highlighted on the root of the GAMMA EXT folder on powershell

don't just run GAMMA_EXT.ps1, you should open a powershell terminal window and copy the command from the pdf
im running it with "Run With Powershell"
first time i do it it shows the title screen for a split second and closes down

if you just open Powershell regularly, you'll be in the default folder, so you'd have to use cd to navigate to the correct folder, shift+RMB → open on powershell is an easier way to get a powershell window on the correct folder

Hey i am currently trying to get a better framerate and as suggested i disabled the following addons - Screen Space Shaders - Ascii1457
- Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA
- Jaku's Improved Shaders
- R3zy's Detectors Enhanced Shaders Pack When i want to start the game now this error message appears
I'm not a dev but it looks like the game tries to load something that isn't here anymore because you disabled some mods. Try deleting the Shader Cache folder in your Anomaly folder. But again I'm a newbie.
re-enable Shaders Cumulative Pack, delete the shader_cache folder again, see if it runs

Been having some weird issues as of the latest update... The zone seems oddly empty... started a Bandit playthrough in Dark Valley, did my normal starter mission for sultan, and noticed that the bandit base is completely 100% empty, (aside from vendors and Sultan.)
2nd issue I've noticed is that when I take missions like "hitman" "mob hit" etc. it'll tell me "the target is in Garbage" I'll check my PDA, and see where the target is, in garbage. close PDA, open it 5 seconds later, and the tarket is somehow in red forest? seems broken. anyone else getting these issues? or know of a common cause for them?

I had a similar issue a while ago, was told it wasn't fixable, and to reload an earlier save.
But I ended up finding a command to fix it. try this, fix worked for me.
Anyway, the way to fix this bug is by opening Debug (F7) pressing "0" (not the numpad, but regular 0 zero key) then type in "function executor"
F7 > "0" > function executor >copy paste this command:
game_relations.change_faction_relations ( "killer", "stalker", 0, 1)

Yes, but you said EFP earlier, which made me think you were saying that you were playing on EFP as opposed to GAMMA.
Have you tried using the fix I typed out above? I'd suggest giving it a try as it worked for me in the past when I had the ceasefire bug.

So the only extra mod i have is the Arti's ammo mod and i've slightly changed the amount of stalkers and mutants in the ZCP settings

Heyo, I had a question regarding Mags Redux.
There seems to be a bug for me when reloading that some ammo is dropped to the ground weirdly. I don't believe I've done something wrong when activating Mags Redux, the reload works, loading ammo works, mags appear in game and are "retool-able". Just when reloading ammo is dropped just as if I would be dropping it manually from the inventory except it happens automatically when reloading.
Disabling "one bullet in the barrel" option does not fix it.
Any clue how I might fix this?
EDIT: Should mention that the ammo present in the weapon after reloading is the correct amount, including the remaining bullet in the barrel.

Same thing. The only fix that I found yet is to avoid using mags redux, which is not what I want. Or not having any spare ammo in your backpack
it doesn't matter, with either one behaviour is the same. Reloading with any amount of ammo left "in the gun" will drop that amount on the ground if you have any spare ammo of that type in your backpack
so i'm playing with mags, i know there was once a way to go in and enable ammo spawning in the mags, does anyone know how to do that? i only remember something about having to overwrite a file

yes and no, there was a way for when your looting and removing mags from other guns they would have ammo still inside of them not just all emptys

nope, you only need to do it once, it's to make sure you get the correct settings for each EXT Profile you're using
if you only use 1 profile, you don't need to use the desktop shortcuts at all

Hi guys question about mags redux. Started new playthrough with this mod, looking cool but it is normal every mag found on enemy is empty? Is there any way to make spawning mags with some ammo in them? It would be cool to unload them, real cheeki breeki scavenger style.

I am having issues where my game is crashing randomly it just started up within the last hour and I don't recall changing any mod settings could someone help me out if I put up my log file?

I think I found a fix for that problem. You need to download MagsRedux.2023.01.29 (last version) from their github page. Then you need to take magazines.script file from "gamedata/scripts" in that archive and copy that file to "your gamma instalation/mods/207- Mags Redux blabla/gamedata/scripts" and replace it

guys is it possible to use the HD models for gamma?
since nobody is answering questions here I'll tell you, It is possible, but I read in a article or a post that eventually it will Brick your game because there is something wrong with like a handful of models, and the game randomly uses models it doesnt pick specifically so you could technically play an entire game and not get bricked but as you progress the chances you will get problems increase dramatically
so its highly suggested to not use them
yeah just wanted to say i found the article but i think i drop it. they look cool but groks description about it aint to appealing to use it
groks folder files and anomaly folder files should be in your root drive so it should be like C://anomaly etc if you have either of those files in an additional folder it doesnt run right so make sure your files are in the right place.
ill keep that in mind. I might give it a try in a next run but gonna stick with the default for now just to be safe. Dont wanna screw over myself for some aesthetics

yeah I'd just go to the groks installer and download and install
there's also a file in the install page. https://gofile.io/d/mpDnsO make sure you add that to your system I beleive I downloaded it into my downloads folder than extracted it directly into groks folder and that seemed to do it for me.
the file is in the installation page but the format of the page isnt great and I missed seeing that file and the instructions for it completely

That solution was in their github issues section. I almost gave up on mags with that annoying "oh I have so much ammo that I can drop it everywhere around the Zone, free ammo for everyone!". I'm glad that I found the fix and I hope this will work for you too

Not super far, few days. just started up a new playthrough.
If you just started the save, and run to check if the location is populated, then its too early for them to spawn and make it into their spots

Couple times yeah, IT was populated when I first started, but now it's completely empty aside from important characters.
for reference I started a bandit playthrough, did a few missions, went back to Sultan, turned them in, and realized the bandit base was 100% empty aside from Vendors, and Sultan.
Smoked a couple soldiers at x18, smoked a few stalkers at the farmhouse. went to garbage to do a mob hit, came back, empty.
Well, the enemies and allies in this game are technically speaking the same
They are only enemies because of your choice of faction, and behave the exact same way otherwise
So if youre encountering groups of enemies, then the game is populated
Maybe the bandits scattered around the map and died to mutants or smth
Yeah, but it was populated with bandits at first. and then after I came back from Garbage, there is legit nothing. only important characters, there are no stalkers or mutants alive on the map (that I can see anyway, even warped around the map to check.)
how does one install from the dev branch? just put the dev files inside the modpack installer's gamma folder? like, all the installer does is distribute the files from that folder?
I've been trying to solve this by myself (myseeeeelf and that's why but in my mind I find I can't rely on myself myseeeeeeeeeelf) and the only thing that i've found is that this crash happens only after an emission and not only in Rostok but on any location
For some reason, Emissions in Jupiter and Zaton cause busy hands and a broken BHS where all limbs look red and no health.
From that point on, the save is basically corrupted and I have to load an earlier one.
Is there any way to fix this or at least locate the problem?
What should I do if I have done that method to activate debug mode and it still doesnt work
this might be a coincidence, but busy hands on my end has been an extremely rare occurrence and yet today it happened to me like 3 times in a row in truck cemetery (reloading the same save because the bug wasn't present when I loaded into the map) and every single time, busy hands appeared after the emission hit 👀
tho I just reloaded and tried again after reading your post and now the emission has gone but no busy hands for me, so it could be pure coincidence (would be a weird one, but who knows) or maybe we both use the same mod that breaks this
yes, it will happen every time, basically. Only way to avoid this is leave the area and avoid the emission
well this time it went okay on my end and I didn't do anything differently (because I believed the bug was caused by my own doing because I edited so many things, especially equipping sawn offs with one hand and being able to use the detector in the other, either way) and this time no busy hands

and when this issue occurs, not only I cannot daddysave, I cant use my NVG properly (screen blurs, animation plays but nightvision wont come on)

for me it is always an emission that causes it and it is only in Zaton and Jupiter, but not every time
looking at my pda is how I notices it too, it's all blurry when you're hit
oh no this is a save from yesterday, and the auto-save I had (truck cemetery) was clean as well as of the moment I entered, I doubled and triple checked to make sure at that point, but then I did the exact same paths 3 times (kill a chimera, loot 2 stashes, go hide for the emission) and by the end of the emission -> busy hand'd
all three times
then I took a nap, did the EXACT same thing and it all worked out

To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

i was following the framerate-optimisations guide
i reached the 7. step and the game wouldn't start
i changed some graphics settings before going thru the guide in hopes of getting more fps
ok go back to step 3, enable back any one of these mods > launch the game
if it doesn't work enable one more > launch the game
which is the least impactful regarding fps

I did have the "Turn this on if you stutter" mod enabled for a couple of days, but its been a week since then, now it is disabled.
My animations are all default Gamma
My gut is saying that having every anomaly and every disabled mutant enabled isn't good btw

iirc, and its been a while - the main culprit i the so called event handler
as its named, it handles scripts, calculations, AI, animations - basically everything that happens
it has a capacity of what it can process/handle at once - if it gets spammed with stuff and breaks, one cause is busyhands
stutter fix mod and a few other things tend to send a lot of requests per second ontop of what the game already has to handle
What I don't understand is how it keeps happening even if you reload an older save
that I do not understand, otherwise i would be an xray wizard

I really dont know, the stutter fix mod has been disabled for a while now. And when the emission happens, it takes a bit of time for issues to start occuring, it isnt right away. But if I save lets say 1 minute after the emission, then quit and reload, game is broken right away

I assume, and this is stretching far - an emission happens and the engine tries to handle many requests and calculations for ALL the npcs at once
I assume one of the custom mods tell it to do something very stupid during an emmision, which emmidiately overloads it
I get to save soon after emission, but if I keep playing, move, shoot, start looting etc, then even save breaks and I cant do anything
Not many people encounter it btw, in fact i don't remember seeing anyone who ran full gamma vanilla reporting it once
Its always vanilla with at least 1 extra mod like stutter fix

most of my customizations to the default Gamma modlist is disabling stuff that Gamma has enabled by default
which sadly is now a must have for me so maybe my life is busyhands now, but I'm prepared 
So mutants and stalkers population factor are high, in ZCP?

if it's a matter of too many events then the map is important as well, some map are more empty than others, in your case zaton isn't filled to the brim but it's HUGE so I'd guess there's a whopping lot of events constantly happening
maybe turning down the online-range in alife.ltx could help with this? 🤷♂️
or maybe the events occur still just the same
(for the AI to calculate what's going on in the offline zone)

no, it depends on the mutant, some mutants might handle events in completely different manners and some mutants spawn in bigger numbers (which causes more events)
rats for example, burers probably create a lot more chaos as well due to the way they attack etc

Currently dealing with an issue where my quicksave button isn't working for whatever reason. I've only enabled Turn this on if you stutter, No more Companions Friendly Fire, Companions Carry Weight Tweak, Agressor Reshade, Angry Chimera Growl, Unlimited Stashes Weight, Companion Teleport, New Item Highlight, and an updated Hip mod. Download the mod file(s) from moddb. DO NOT EXTRACT.
Place them into yourGAMMA\downloadsfolder. Overwrite if needed.
Run the GAMMA installer as admin.
Click the "Download G.A.M.M.A. Data" button.
Click the "Full G.A.M.M.A. installation" button
you can also read through your GAMMA Installer log to figure out which options it chose but this way you don't have to figure out how to drag-and-drop it into the correct filepath

Is this using Dux's or HD Models? It's a GBO issue, there should be an ltx or config file with all the models listed in it, and their bone profile. You just have to find that file and add a reference to the petrenko model in there. Can just copy paste the bone profile from a regular duty soldier

Anyone knows the cause of stacked items not opening the middle window sometimes during the transfer window? I can't select the ones in the pile, the highlight sometimes points to another item instead of the one I am hovering. AVX is a way for your CPU to do calculations on a large array of data simultaneously. This is the same kind of job GPUs are primarily meant for.
So if your GPU is decent, AVX is (in most cases) outclassed by the GPU itself. Best way to know which is better for you, personally, is to try both versions and see what does or doesn't crash/performs better.

Normally where you downloaded it will have instructions on how to install it. I'm guessing you're trying to use "Asnen's Better Cigarettes Animation". It says to install in after fdda mo2
Yeah, I got the pop-up in MO2 for installing the alternate animations, but didn't install it then, 'cause I didn't know what they are. Maybe I'll just need to reinstall the main FDDA mod.
When you install things in mo2 they will default to the bottom of the list. It's probably down there

I don't know enough to help you with overwrite dose but as long as that add-on is loaded after fdda it should work because it dose pull files from fdda
So the reinstall option did work and I installed the addon, but I get this in the errors:

i dont use HD models (i use DUX / "gamma vanilla") but i use this mod: GBOOBS_Enhanced_Recoil_Revised could that be the problem?
Do you have fdda turned on? In the mo2 screen shot it is not ticked. Also is the version of fdda that gamma uses still on?
I didn't wanna replace any files during install so I renamed the mod to install it separately (mo2 recommends it also), the ticked version is full mod with addon enabled (supposedly). Default Gamma FDDA version is not on as to avoid conflicts.

Also, I think I just realized something. The alternate cig animations addon for the new version of FDDA is working. The animations are indeed quite a bit better.
But I didn't notice it working at first, 'cause I was expecting the animations to be much shorter. But they're still long. Better, but long.
I was expecting the short version of those animations where the character just takes 1 swig of the cig and tosses it afterwards. As opposed to like 3-4 swigs like by default.

Hmm, not sure what you mean by that, but the Gamma version didn't work for me. The animations were still long. I think the one you mention might be for Gamma's bundled version of FDDA, while I have a separate one installed with backpack/looting/pickup animations enabled.
But I resolved the issue anyway. Turns out I had the wrong version of the addon downloaded and didn't realize that.

It is, just deactivate "190- Screen Space..." and install the new SSS --> tick all options when prompted, except the "SSR Water [ICE Version]" and the experimental stuff --> move it under the deactivated file in your load order + download "STALKER-Anomaly-modded-exes" from github --> only place the exes from the "bin"-Folder of that Zip in the "bin"- Folder of your Anomaly Directory and replace the originals, when prompted. -> delete your shaders_cache in Anomaly\appdata --> Done, have fun.

hey folks, I've been having this bug where my hud is doubled, I think its got something to do with GAMMA minimalist hud as I've tried reinstalling it, which semi-fixed it but didn't allow any other hud mods to work over it (Aydin's Hud tweaks only works for the UI but doesn't affect the hud, as this happens with it disabled) I tried disabling my custom mods that conflicted with it but the bug remained.
The thing is, I've had my hud work perfectly when I first installed with no problems, so it can't be related to aspect ratio or anything of the sort.

Yo peeps, if i disable " no mask overlay" mod in MO2, does it use vanilla Anomaly texture overlay or does it use Groks own texture?
I remember a while back in Anomaly using his own mod "mask and reflection" from modbd and i really liked it. Dont know if it is now completely incompatible with current GAMMA.

Yes it works, I believe someone posted a patch in the mod posting channel, but the edits required to make it work outside of that are fairly easy anyway. There's a bot command that will explain what mods must be disabled in the load order for the mod to work.
Are you running HD Models, or Dux's? Also have you changed the models at all during the course of that savegame?
Did you delete your shaders_chache folder after installing atmospherics? Also, do you have the latest SSS update, and EXEs, Enhanced Shaders 1.10 with the proper options, etc? Hippo made a really good video tutorial for the install, but if you're installing the beta build there's a couple things that are different

It is included in GAMMA installer but it's disabled by default

DO NOT ENABLE Bounty Squads Extended (Mod 44). It has been disabled due to a multitude of bugs. Also DO NOT ENABLE Bounty Kill UNLESS TOLD TO, even if when it's disabled and you see a crash and the error references "bounty squads" or "bounty squads" is in the log.
If you meet one of those two follow these steps:
- Enable
GAMMA Bounty Kill(underGAMMA Fixes) - Launch GAMMA (You may get an immediate crash, this is fine, relaunch)
- Play as normal until you crash with an error/log referencing a nil value.
- Disable
GAMMA Bounty Kill.

yeahh, i noticed that when the gun jams i can't unjam the gun, and the character don't say anything about the jam
then i need to unjam from inventory
When you enabled mags did you follow the guide for the other mods required for it?

In order to properly enable Mags Redux:
1) Enable Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload) (the mod under "Optional")
2) Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key (yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind)
3) Enable Ammo Check (this is a mod as well)
4) While in game, check your keybinds for RELOAD and UNJAM in Settings > Controls > Bindings
5) After successfully following all steps, you need to Left-Alt + left click the magazine to add to your loadout, before a reload can work
Bonus: You can also enable Mags Buyable at Traders if you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list.
KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't just disable the mod in your current save file and call it a day. Your game will crash.
To remove it safely, you'll have to remove them from your save file with this addon, follow EVERY STEP: <#🖇old-mods-posting message>

Installed Gamma default, and Gamma EXT yesterday and computer power cycled twice when turning on, no monitor yet, then came up with text "No VBIOS found, switching to UEFI" what happened there, are these related or independent coincidence?

I have an issue where if I scope in too quickly (once after another), then the scope FOV will be incorrect
If I scope in once...the FOV will be correct
If I "double scope", the FOV will zoom in correctly, the immediately zoom out to an incorrect amount
Sounds like an issue I had, may not be related. I found that I had tweaked the hud fov and normal fov around, so when I would use free zoom, normal zoom, and ads'd free zoom I'd have like 3 separate instances of zoomed fov that felt janky. I fixed this by matching hud fov and regular fov, and if there was a weird inconsistency I'd use the keybind to bring the gun/scope further or back based on where its default position was. Hope that helps.

Just wanna ask if anyone else is having this issue, but is it impossible to find items you need for a quest? I'm doing the classified information quest and I'm right in top of where it told me to go and I've looked all over and I can't find it.
Had this issue earlier today with a lost signal quest as well.
either reload the file or spawn it using the debug menu
Idk if a lost signal quest is different or not, but I tried reloading my save multiple times and I still couldn't find it.
But I'll give it a shot on reloading the save to see if those documents Spawn
For lost signal try entering the map and make a manual save

I got kinda tired of doing the "go kill this thing" type of quests so I wanted to do some fetch quests. The fetch quests apparently don't want me to have the items though
honestly stalkers are just really good at hide and seek. you'd be amazed how many times i thought something was bugged but i just wasn't looking hard enough

The issue is though is that I combed the entire area, spending roughly 2 and a half hours, looking inside every nook and cranny that I could possibly find, while listening to that terrible beeping from the receiver. And I couldn't find squat.
I left the meadows in a.....very lackluster mood
i had a package in outskirts i spent 2 days looking for 2 irl days i could get the receiver to do 3 beeps but i just could not find the package thought it might be in the ground or something. ended up just being shoved in such a place that having line of sight on it just by holding f was really hard
Yea I might just not do the receiver stuff anymore, too much of a headache. But regardless, I'll try out what the person earlier said, to see if I can get thise documents to Spawn or not.
Starting to wonder if my game is glitched though and it's just not spawning quest items for me to pick up.

hello I updated the game yesterday, game has been running great up to now. When I load into my last save I get this error. Any help greatly appreciated, honestly it is completely a vanilla install except for a couple of patch mods which come with gamma, those are "turn this on if you stutter" "optional modern UI font" and "fix saves before 10-10-22" the first two I never had any issues with and the third one I enabled AFTER getting this error to see if it helped.
looks like one of your mods didnt download all the way. did you exclude the install paths for gamma and anomaly from your anti virus when you updated?

GMTOP just touches text files and is already placed at the VERY bottom of the load order for GAMMA.
So technically you could down the mod and just install it at the very bottom and it will be fine.

I was having the same issue where I would crash upon going into meadow.
Went to dx 11 and loaded it directly from MO2 and it fixed it. Figured you may of been having the same issue.
