These values automatically reset themselves to the defaults whenever I reload a save. The first four will reset to the default of Hardcore AI Aim if I have it enabled, and the default-defaults if I have HAA disabled. ai_die_in_anomaly will always reset to 0

Has something changed this patch with character meshes? I've been running HDmodels for a bit but now I've had to sub in a mesh for every single unique character - Lukash, Lukash's Guards, Dushman, etc. I've ticked off all the normal things covered in #custom-textures . Am I missing something? Is it a load order thing? I mean, I know how to fix it via selecting a random .ogf, but I miss seeing Skinflint as a giant stoner.

Happy to DM you my folder, I think I caught all the missing ones. Teleported to every area replacing them until I stopped crashing LOL. That said, I don't know which are the unique ones - e.g. Skinflint looking Beavis and Butthead's teacher - so if you've been using this awhile you'll miss out on some of that, but it seems crash free now.

hello friends, i read that the hd charactermodels mod for anomaly is not compatible with the gamma modpack
thus i tried to make a clean sheet with just the hd models mod and it didn't activate (now given the install itself was a challenge for me) and to be frank idek if it got implemented or if it was just a hollow file
hoping there's some clever stalkers here who could fill me in on whether the mod itself needs other mods to run on or if i just messed up the install (the modpage on moddb did not give any info, atleast not in english) clueless

so random but the quick zoom function has just randomly stopped working for me ingame, it zooms, but then doesn't "unzoom" - so the FOV stays at like 48, and it lowers the mouse sens, but doesn't reset back to what it was before zooming in, leading me to have to manually reset my FOV / mouse sensitivity each time i press the zoom button.. I was having the exact same problem with one random Renegade NPC that crashed my game whenever he died, and a full install of both GAMMA and Anomaly later didn't fix it. I eventually just debug deleted him out of existence and went about my way... until an hour later when I had the same error crash my game just loading into a new area. No clue what's doing on.

Gamma uses "D.I.C.K." models instead of HD Models.
You can find them at number 29 and 30 in the modlist.

I vaguely remember there being a guide on how to switch from Gammas models to HD ones in either #╭📖faq or #│📚manual but it seems to no longer be there

Small update on this error:
It seems something may have corrupted or altered my save file, since I tried entering the Agroprom underground again on a different save successfully.
In case someone gets this bug in the future: It seems you will have to revert to an earlier save, given I tried entering both with a custom and non custom modlist without any success. I can still not detect a cause in the log files tho unfortunately

This happens randomly ever since i accepted a quest where i had to kill a mutant and the 2 guys that requested it joined my squad

the instructions in #custom-textures do work. That said, in one of the patches since October the game is looking for specific mesh names for unique characters that don't naturally exist in the HD models download. You need to manually inject those files by copying another .ogf and giving it the appropriate name from the crash log. I can share a folder I've been compiling as I go through the game, it's a PITA. What I haven't done is actually tried to match the unique models previously used for unique characters in HD Models. I just don't have the patience to try 200 OGF files until I get it right for each one.

if you mean you're playing with Mags Redux, just get the newest version from https://github.com/RAX-Anomaly/MagsRedux/releases
go to "latest", "Assets", and download MagsRedux.2022.11.09.zip
then install normally on MO2, put it anywhere after the default Mags Redux (bottom of load order is fine) and you will have ammo in mags, and end up finding way more ammunition in total

Yep I followed all the steps to install the mod, it was working fine before. I just tried to remove the HD models, and reactivated all the regular models (Dux's characters, etc.) and I still get the same error... I started a new game, and shot the same guy in Cordon, got the same kind of error

Yeah, that'll cause headaches in it's own right I believe. I've never been very successful in transitioning a save game between the model options. Once you have one loaded up into the game, switching to the other inevitably causes crashes due to missing meshes etc.

Sorry man, I wish I could easily help on this one. It doesn't look like the same type of crash that a lot of us have been dealing with where meshes don't exist with the right name as of the newer GAMMA patches. Is it only when killing this one dude?

You could try cloning a .ogf file from the path: actors\stalker_neutral\ and renaming it stalker_novice_1.ogf and then dumping it back into that stalker_neutral folder with HDModels enabled.

Just got a recurring CTD, seems to be related to particle fx, any ideas? It crashed as I shot some bandits after entering Cordon from garbage. I'm running default modlist except I'm using Fabio Conte's late Autumn pack along with his base seasons pack and dark foliage addon. The only other difference is an artefact condition adjustment mod. The missing files from the error are present in my GAMMA RC3\mods\CinematicFX_GAMMA_PATCH\gamedata\particles\hit_fx\effects folder.

I've just noticed that CinematicFX_GAMMA_PATCH is now in the disabled list. Should I re-enable?

Hello, i got a Problem with the mod, it randomly crashes to Desktop after i done some actions (Animations), for example some times the NVGs dont work, the Hand Animation goes, the sound works but the Overlay dont show, so the NVGs dont work at all, when i then save and relaod that save the game CTD, after reloading the game, and loading the Save again, everything works again, also when the NVG Bug Appears, also i cant use the Light anymore, the Health System buggs and dont show the right stuff anymore (it showes all in red) and for example when i disassamble a gun i dont get parts for it... its compleatly random and i dont know whats wrong, the only thing i change in the Mods is that i disabled the Economy fixes, as well as activated the Stutter Remover.

also i cant read NPC PDAs... it just acts like your PDA with map and stuff.

I changed the particles system, as in all the gamedata folder in "Particles Cinematic VFX 3.5 1.1.2 BOTZ YAWM" with a custom one with a bit more "whoomf" cuz the gamma ones are kinda weak in my opinion... they worked great before the anniversary update, I manage to get around the error by unticking reliable animations, witch btw fixed the backpack animation that wasn't working anymore. In order to properly enable Mags Redux:

  1. Enable Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload) (the mod under "Optional")
  2. Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key (yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind)
  3. Enable Ammo Check (this is a mod as well)
  4. While in game, check your keybinds for RELOAD and UNJAM in Settings > Controls > Bindings
  5. After successfully following all steps, you need to Left-Alt + left click the magazine to add to your loadout, before a reload can work
    Bonus) You can also enable Mags Buyable at Traders if you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list

KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't disable it in your current save file.

The only 100% safe way to do so is by loading a save where you DON'T have the mod enabled OR by starting a new game WITHOUT Mags Redux.

We also have this POSSIBLE workaround if you want to disable Mags Redux in the middle of your game:

I recently updated gamma after after a month of not updating because I had it just the way I liked it, and SUPRISE! I didn't like a new change: How the apparitions/hallucinations do physical damage. Before the update they only did psy damage and that made sense: it's a psychic attack, they are not real and as such it completely wrecks my immersion when I have to use a first aid kit or tourniquet to heal a PHYSICAL INJURY from an IMAGINARY ENEMY.
Which ITX file or setting do I have to gun down like strelok blasting the pods in the control center to get it back the way it was before the update when psychic attacks only damaged your psy health?

So, anyone else notice that the some keybinds in the normal controls menu reset themselves every time they run the game?
For me specifically they are the geiger counter, drop item and wipe mask binds.
I'd like to undo the first two, but they keep getting rewritten.
I have tried putting my user.ltx (with those two binds removed) into the overwrite folder, into a separate archive as a mod at the end of the load order
and I've even tried changing the one in the gamma installer's folder.

So this is the Error I get when trying to start into a character.

Added Mods: Mutants Bleeding, No more companions friendly fire, combine all items, convert enemy to your faction, he is with me, HIP 2.6, Stalker Tracking System, Tweaked Meds, Johji persitent weather, death animations and mags redux. I disabled: gamma unjam reload and the mods that made the zone look like it does in Gamma to revert it back to default foliated version

Yeah and for Context as mentioned, reinstalled gamma and wanted to do finally start a new run, but when loading into the game after char creation it crashes with the provided error above

How can i make the brightness slider to work again?
I already disabled ReShade by moving the dxgi.dll file to another folder
For me, it doesn't justify the temps on my GPU vs the Visual improvements that i get, it really isn't wort it
The only drawback of doing this is that now i cant adjust the brightness at all

  1. Download the 1.5.2 update: https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/downloads/stalker-anomaly-151-to-152
  2. Open the zip, you'll see 4 folders and a text file
  3. SELECT the content of this archive (4 folders and a .txt file)
  4. DRAG AND DROP the content of this archive inside your Anomaly folder
  5. OVERWRITE everything when asked to do so
  6. Open the installer with admin rights
  7. Click on Download G.A.M.M.A. data AND THEN CLICK Full G.A.M.M.A. Installation

I keep crashing when quicksaving on limansk during the mortal sin quest, at the base near the jupiter entrance

G.A.M.M.A. has a default mod list to make sure everyone has the same things, everything goes back to default when you update or you do a complete installation, it's normal.

Hey, guys if you really want to push the HD models pack on your GAMMA roster. make sure to untick these mods first before installing HD Models:

  • Dux Innumerable Characters Kit
  • Fixed Vanilla Models
  • DICK Black Jack patch
  • Cr3pis icons helmetless armors
  • Better portraits icons
  • GAMMA Better Merc voices
  • Armors no Integrated helmet
  • Armor exchange

Make sure to reinstall MAID HD Icon and tick the HD Models icon

RAPTR Mags dont spawn on NPCs which had them equipped, and enabling "Buyable Mags at Traders" doesnt add them to the Stock either

I am on the 2nd most recent patch, so they shouldve been included already, or am I missing something?
