S.T.A.L.K.E.R isn't necessarily a fast paced game, and sometimes it helps to just take it slow.

I spent quite some time building a kit for harder areas, and it does the job pretty well, all in all. I did not focus on psy protection though. Overall, it wasn't a big issue, but I did focus more on shooting the hallucinations than enjoying the lab gameplay.

What addon should I disable, in order to revert to the footstep sounds that GAMMA had before the latest update? I see that both GAMMA footsteps and Dark Signal footsteps are enabled by default.
my health bar in my hud is completely broken, but my health inside my inventory is just fine. using a medkit/bandage/any other healing item doesn't fix it, i've loaded numerous different saves and restarted my game with no luck. any ideas?

e: just tested, starting a new save makes everything work just fine, so it's probably something to do with the save file. dunno what it could be though, nothing changed, i died while using a medkit, reloaded a save and then everything broke

This is a very minor thing, but isn’t there supposed to be an animation for checking how much ammo is in the mag? I watched a video on specifically mags redux so I’m not sure if other mods in GAMMA conflict with the animation or smthn

I get this too, usually reloading fixes it. If it doesn't, multiple reloads are sometimes necessary.
Quick question too. Was radiation buildup buffed in the recent patch? I've noticed it burning through my resistance in places I used to be able to ignore it.

You can't remove Mags midsave, it's not one of the mod that allows that iirc

ohp! i found the issue, i put unjam on a specific key and the mod that condesenses unjam and reload to same key targetted the unjam key instead of the reload key
On a side note, according to known-issues, you should disable the pickup animation for FDDA when you have MAGS Redux on, but in FDDA's menu in MCM, I can't see a way to disable or enable any specific animation. Anyone know how to do so?
Is there any way to get ammo check to tell me all the rounds in the mag? It's just saying "haha yeah there's bullets, guess how many"
Not that I can see, from looking quickly at the MCM. Looks like you can de-disable the option that hides the ammo amount from the hud, but that would defeat the purpose of checking your ammo level I think.

New here, so hopefully this is the spot. I had a bug reoccur a few times where I would load into a map and it would not show my rads, stamina, health was listed at 0, arms and legs were at 0, head and thorax were at 0 but fully first-aided. Several keybinds were disabled, such as holding shift to fast transfer, and zoom would get stuck. It wasn't a big issue because I could reload to fix the issue. On the latest iteration of the bug, my zoom got stuck. No big deal, I reloaded the game but now all of my saves are permanently zoomed in. My standard zoom is the zoomed in amount, I can zoom in even further now! FIXED EDIT: Full install fixed it, FOV slider did not.

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.
If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:
- interact with objects or people
- use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
- open your inventory
- drink/eat/sleep
- check your HUD in the bottom left corner
If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.
The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.
Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:
- Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
- Animation for skinning mutants
- Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
- Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement
It was an npc that spawned with -1 hit points, kill him or causing bleed lead to a ctd, 2 options I found could work. Avoid him, make a level transition and sleep for like 7 days ( kinda dumb I know) and hope he despawnes, I had to re-install a brand new mo2 and gamma installer, EVERYRHING from the start to stop it from happening. I'm 50 hours past that now and I have found no such incidents to date.

Saves should load if you right click > "Reinstall Mod" 271- G.A.M.M.A. Large Files and set the Large Files folder as the game directory, then press ok. Repeat for "273- Longreed's fixed artefacts spawns under maps - Longreed" and select that mod's folder in the menu instead. You can do the same a final time for Grulag's Dead Bushes but that's not necessary to get your saves to load.

G.A.M.M.A. isn't built with Warfare in mind and Warfare, per se, have bad perfomance, bugs, issues, etc., this is why it isn't recommended.
You can play it if you really want to, but forget about #🔨base-gamma-support, this channel support is only for G.A.M.M.A. vanilla (which basically means no extra stuff at all) and is also used by Grok for bug fixing.
Since G.A.M.M.A. vanilla doesn't use Warfare, you'll need to use #🔨modded-gamma-support.

It does the same thing with me, i can move units and buy units (wich is working) and the the fast travel text still apears
I am running into an issue with the last dawn quest line. Scar had disappeared so I spawned him in as per the bot instructions. Now when I talk to him and accept the dog quest, it immediately fails. Just ran into this same issue myself. If using the 2D scopes setting it completely screws with any reshade shaders dependent on the depth buffer as the DB isn't in sync with the 2D view when scoped. Disabling 2D scopes fixes the issue. This is problematic because it's forcing one to forgo depth buffer based shaders (e.g. MXAO, RTGI, anything using depth) if they want scopes to not look weird or instead keep the shaders but disable 2D scopes and deal with any broken scopes as a result.
i got the error that something has removed the package from the game and now my game crashes when i want to enter cordon. i have the mags mod enabled

It only kinda works. They can be shot to death and psy attacked to death and friendly fired to death, but they can't be killed by mutants swarming them. They go to zero health and then stand back up with a very small health after a bit. All I did was enable it.

My main issue was dogs or bloodsuckers swarming with no warning, and it helped with that. Also they seem to lose some degree of agro once they kneel down, so they stay alive longer in fire fights, but it definitely isn't perfect
i just turned mutant spawns down cuz i dont like how many there are by default but the companions regen faster mod makes em alright in most situations, they only die when runing into a horde of monolith now

the only mods i have custom installed are dead zone textures, Invictus protect, and dynamic emission cover but after disabling all 3 of those it still crashes like this
it started after i entered garbage and killed a couple of mercs and turned in a quest to a loner
i tried disabling the "night mutants" mod in mo2 but that only changed the crash to something to do with a night_chimera
i fast travelled to agroprom but the crash just happens when it loads

In order to properly enable Mags Redux:
- Enable
Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload)(the mod under "Optional") - Disable
G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key(yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind) - Enable
Ammo Check(this is a mod as well) - While in game, check your keybinds for RELOAD and UNJAM in Settings > Controls > Bindings
- After successfully following all steps, you need to Left-Alt + left click the magazine to add to your loadout, before a reload can work
Bonus) You can also enableMags Buyable at Tradersif you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list
KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't disable it in your current save file.
The only 100% safe way to do so is by loading a save where you DON'T have the mod enabled OR by starting a new game WITHOUT Mags Redux.
We also have this POSSIBLE workaround if you want to disable Mags Redux in the middle of your game:

Just gonna type here as I've edited the modlist by adding hd models, being the soul addition. Lots of outfits in the game don't load their icons when ingame, instead they're just blank.
Need help here as this is a persistent problem and I can't seem to fix it at all.
Hard crash in Brain Scorcher lab, four times in a row, in the exact same spot, about ten feet before the first code-lock door. Crash log shows a script error that I cannot understand. Anybody smarter than me able to translate it?
I suppose I should add that I'm using Mags, NPCS Can't See Through Foliage, Compass instead of minimap, and Iron Man Roguelite. I'll also mention that I did attempt Brain Scorcher last night and was able to get through just fine until I had a crash during the fight on the way out.

Gave the shotty and all the ammo for it to a companion and started snorting while running. Crashed to desktop in the exact same spot as before, right before opening that first door.

If that doesn't get you somewhere, just loot what you can for profit, leave the area, and let the mission fail. Won't really cost anything other than your time and ammo.
As much as any other mission fail, I'd assume, though I don't know how Gamma handles these "special missions". Either way, unless you've been really trigger happy on Duty's behalf up to this point, they shouldn't start shooting you on sight.

there was but it was incomplete, just as a stop gap when the update first released. it only had the world model but the newer patch has everything else, so no more crashes from it trying to find a nonexistent model
so just drag an drop it in? or put it at the bottom of the mod order
put it in either the new BaS folder or the patch folder, i usually put it in the new BaS folder just because it doesn't conflict with anything. make sure it's the folder itself as well, not just the models inside it when you put the patch in the gamedata/models/meshes folder.

Hey guys im having an issue where my guns seem to stick. It always happens when i hit really low frame rates but even like rn i was at 60 fps and i had a small dip and my ump just start unloading all its ammo into the ground after i tried shooting a dog once
Since I've made my Monolith save this no longer happens
I assume it's just a buildup of save data
And since I made a fresh one it doesn't clog anything

If you want to add a reshade, should you just download it add it do the mod manager and tick it for it to work or are there other steps to it?
I updated to the latest version of GAMMA yesterday. This morning I had to re-run the full install just to check things. Had two mods fail the MD5 check. Fixed those and re-ran the full install.
Game seems to be fine, BUT, I still get the OGG-comment errors for audio files.
Weird thing is, the files exist. I can find them in the GAMMA folders. I can play them using MPC-HC. They work fine.
Any ideas why I'm seeing this?

i am having some serious issues with my game, to lay down some background knowledge i am playing on the default GAMMA experience with these exceptions,
in the mod organizer i have enabled the stuttering patch and stash infinite storage capacity,
as far as i remember i have only messed with these settings: corpse despawn settings, anomaly detector noises, gas mask breathing noises, hardcore AI aim, fast travel rules changes, and my FOV
i had previously taken a ~3 week hiatus from playing the game on my 20-30 hour playthrough and when i continued my game seems to have become highly unstable.
here is a list of all of the bugs that seemingly appear at random within 5 minutes in no particular order (all bugs have never occurred previously)
-item animations are not triggering despite having item animations enabled.
-Inability to equip weapons, use items, open doors, interact with NPCs, or dead bodies.
-upon traveling to a new location the game crashes to desktop before the loading screen appears.
-inability to use a 5 minute save token and instead displays the instructions text roughly says "use Shift+F5 to redeem your token" and safe areas to save are not recognized.
Looking for a fix, I keep getting log spammed about "~WARNING alife ID storage is almost filled: 65482" I had not changed any of the spawn counts...
Does anyone know how to fix this? It was fine before I started changing shit in the in-game menu and reverting said changes did nothing to fix it

Hey guys so I just updated to the anniversary gamma patch but for some reason now fdda settings shows up as empty in the mcm. So I cant add the backpack animations in. In terms of mod list all I added was Mags Redux + Remove Quick Unjam, Trade with random stalkers, mags buyable at traders, Turn on if you stutter, Warfare A life Overhaul + Warfare Patch.

@wanton robin I don't know if this is related but I have seen mention of too many stashed items causing a similar error. If you have several stashes loaded with items try clearing some of it out.

DO NOT ENABLE Weird Tasks Framework in your Mod Organizer, and do not try to install it manually. First of all, that mod isn't supported, and second - it's outdated, unfinished and unstable even on vanilla Anomaly.

@trail igloo it depends on what's being modded. Create an extra save file and load the mod at the bottom of your load order. If you get any errors you should be able to remove the mod and reload the save without issue. Or so that's been my experience so far. I've managed to get quite a few mods to work and have created several of my own making minor changes. I have read that changes to gamma can at times create errors that will crop up later in gameplay that will potentially destroy your game leaving a restart as the only option.

FELLOW STALKERS, I just found this mod called Desolation. They have this feature with guns where you can customize it with attachments and parts similar to Tarkov. It looks awesome. Do you think it would work with GAMMA? Assuming we deactivate all the gun related mods of course.
I hope one day someone imports the gun customization from Tarkov to Stalker. That would be insane.

testing Autumn Season Redux, I have noticed this casting shadow effect on grounds (maybe buildings too but I did not think to check). If I set the sun at 12 it goes away. in the video you can notice better. The modlist is default gamma plus the autumn addon. Is it like this or I have it installed badly?

zebra effect gets solved by setting shadowmap resolution to higher values
also using a higher setting for sun shadows helps

For my fellow Stalkers who maybe having this same Problem. If you have the Latest Version of BAS and the current latest GAMMA version, some of the BAS gun icons might not be showing up. I have fixed it. Just Delete the "ui_icon_bas.dds" file in the "271- G.A.M.M.A. Large Files - GAMMA Team\gamedata\textures\ui" folder. Not sure if it will cause more problems though but you can always reinstall the mod anyways.

i can't get in agroprom underground. when i get in the manhole, it loads twice and i get back to upperground of agroprom. i did disable addon no.206, but it still does... and even i off the 206- Areas transition without confirmation (smoother gameflow) - Tom_Sharikov, yellow markered manhole asks me with 'are you leave' letterbox, but other manhole or entrance make me loading twice, once again...
I've did a full update, no first anniversary on splash screen it still says Gamma RC3.2 even after I did the !k98 fix

I’m using mags redux from moddb since the one that comes with gamma doesn’t have enemies have ammo in their mags when you loot them. Now since the latest update wrong mags come out some guns. A 9x18 came out a mp5 as an example.

- Find the file

- Go to the lines 798 and 799
- Replace
tonumber(res[1])with the width of your monitor (i.e. 2560)- Replace

i’m having an issue with getting agressor to work, i enabled it in mo2 just as it comes with gamma but am getting an error trying to reinstall it saying that “the content of <stalker anomaly> does not look valid

UPDATED!!: The problem was that it said to press the key I had bound as "use" to place it, but it was still bound to the default "use" key in it's Mod Configuration Menu page. When I try to "place" a Hideout item I get the green box thing, and can move it, but when I press "use" to place it, the placement box just freezes. The workbench, gun case, exo box, etc. stay in my inventory and if I try to place it again the old green placement box goes away in exchange for the new now movable one, but when I try to place it, it just happens again. In this pic, you can see how the now static placement box is still there sitting next to the workbench that it was supposed to be placing there. I didn't set it up there, I just dropped it and it looks like that. I can't use the bench there, I just pick it up when I try. I even tried dropping it into the green box because why not? Any help would be appreciated. I was looking forward to setting it up when I got here. Thanks

I changed the resolution down to 800x600 in the UI-options script. At first it wouldn't load the game at 1280x720 or 1280x800. Either way, I still get a crash to desktop with no error message whenever I click on the settings tab on the main screen. I can still load up a save file though, or start a new game. The video settings though are a bit too high though and cause the game to lag a lot.

No, that is not the issue. What I am talking about is I see mods that were mentioned in update(loading screens for example) which I know I can turn on. And then there is companions rework, it's at the end, no idea if it should be on or off

1) Close MO2
2) Go to GAMMA/.Grok's Modpack Installer/GAMMA/modpack_data/
3) Copy this file: modlist.txt
4) Paste it in here and replace the existing file: [YOUR GAMMA FOLDER]/profiles/G.A.M.M.A.. If you don't have a G.A.M.M.A. folder in profiles - create it.
5) Now launch MO2 again

my game crashed again, same location, just looking at my stash in rostock
the only mod that I used besides "Invictus Protect", was "02 Tagged Patches Non-DLTX " and shortly after using that mod my game startet crashing, and after that my load times became super long (over 5 min) and my game freezes for over 5 seconds when I look in my stash or even inventory, but disabling it didnt fix it, also there were 2 versions DLTX and non DLTX, I have no Idea what that means, so went with non DLTX, could that mod have anything to do with my problems ?

I kinda got an issue. I'm fighting at Dark Valley some bandits (there is kinda a lot) and my games crashes time to time after killing a bandit or even shooting him.
As you can see in the clip, i can't understand what's doing this. I'm using Jaku's Improved Shaders - Jakus Shader Tweaks - Simplified Vision UI (With Gamma Patch) and A.D.E.G.A Texture Pack with Hippo Reshade
I tried disabling A.D.E.G.A but it doesn't change anything. It's the first time it ever happen to me and i didn't got any trouble while fighting mercs in wild territory for exemple. I also got this error pop-up when the games crashes :

Largely trying to figure out if it's a corrupted mod install or missing file etc, or if its actually broken by Warfare or something else.
Tried enabling 237. just to see, but that just causes failure to load into saves at all. Disabled it again after confirming.
Currently running the Full installation and checking for busted ones, but I did that twice yesterday before this started happening and found no issues.

- Delete everything inside the mod's folder

if you mean "how do i load the mod":
- download the mod as a .zip file or other archive. DO NOT EXTRACT
- in MO2, go to File -> "Install Mod..."
- find and choose your downloaded mod
- it will appear at the very end of your mod list. enable it and optionally move it if the instructions tell you to move it to a specific place in the load order (just drag and drop)

i thought i seen someone mention that you can remove them through an option in the MCM but i couldnt find it. i guess it cant be removed without starting a new game

this is inside the MCM menu, so start the game and you will see mcm menu its in.
mcm to make it simple is a mod that let you manage.... mod.

Good evening everyone, I installed stalker with the mods by following a tutorial on youtube but when starting my game after choosing my faction and everything I have the error message that appears and by checking the files I have another message with the direct x which are corrupt, what can I do to remedy this?
Does anyone else having problems with their detectors acting like this? do anyone know a painless fix for this?
i did the patch with the 1st suggstion from anounsments nothing happend i did the 2nd method that bot command suggested i stil ldont see the 1st year aniversiry edition altho my mod count active is 347

Yeah it's just not redownloading it and the reinstall seems to be reinstalling it from the actual previously downloaded archive.

to force re-download, go to GAMMA RC3\.Grok's Modpack Installer and delete the files GAMMA_definition.zip and version.txt
then you should be able to do the steps 4-6 again

is not contained in gamma definition, it's contained in the downloads folder
so me downloading gamma definition over and over doesn't actually seem related 😅

if you really really want to make sure go to GAMMA RC3\downloads, find the zip files for those mods if they exist, and delete them

I changed the resolution down to 800x600 in the UI-options script. At first it wouldn't load the game at 1280x720 or 1280x800. Either way, I still get a crash to desktop with no error message whenever I click on the settings tab on the main screen. I can still load up a save file though, or start a new game. The video settings though are a bit too high though and cause the game to lag a lot.
yeah to be clear it absolutely is not designed to run on steamdeck or linux, the guides there are basically "this one person got it to work"
my troubleshooting knowledge is also 100% windows - i can tell you what works on that, which is the script editing thing, but absolutely no guarantees

Hey folks. So i turned on Mags Redux and disabled the GAMMA unjam on same key. I can't seem to figure out how to unjam my weapons now. I've tried almost every key. Maybe one of you fine folks know why?

also it rebinds the reload key to f10 when doing that ( i dont know why it just does) so rebind that too
