I used the Eye Adaptation plugin, it's much easier to adjust and works better in my opinion, unlike the Adaptive Tonemap (maybe I didn't understand the second one well, but different presets don't give me the desired picture with it, plus it takes up a lot of FPS).
It is very important to set goals for each plugin.
If we use something for color correction - we adjust it so that it does not affect the contrast/brightness of the image, does not add blurriness/blur, haze, etc., otherwise we will get a mess or a bunch of artifacts.
(Noise in the sky, strong highlights on clothing, artifacts on walls when zoomed in, etc.)
The same applies to eye adaptation. In presets, the display often changes when the plugin is turned on, but it shouldn't be like that.
- we use references, including our custom presets (this is already my 8th one, so far the best).
These are my observations and experiments 🙂
If someone likes the preset, I can send a .zip archive + settings for SSS, as well as graphics settings.
I am a fan of a clean picture.
