I also noticed that early in my playthrough, all the guns were empty, so I didn't need to Unload them every time I looted someone, which was great. However, now most guns have ammo on them and can be Unloaded. Did something go wrong along the way, or is this the intended behavior?

My bad, it was an option on Anomaly's settings, not on MCM. Thanks for that. And yeah, basically all guns used by the dead stalker has ammo on them. Only the ones they looted from someone else are empty
You can fast travel to your stashes when overweight
This allows to easily move all your stuff from one stash to another
Only thing I changed related to ammo was the MCM option on Drop Condition > Ammo, I set the Amount to 4 instead of 1
That's exactly what I wanted it for. Doing multiple runs just to move a Stash is suffering.

Hi. As a loner. Im missing trader NPC in Yantar. He is called Spirit. I havent been in Yantar yet hes still not at his cooking station. Is it possible he got killed somehow even when I havent been at Yantar map? If yes can I teleport to his body (cant find his body either even) with some command? One way or another I will be forced to use debug menu for first time and spawn him :(. I have so much vodka for him

Access the inventory of said companion and check
Companions always own one weapon of their own that you can't access from the inventory exchange so you can take all weapons away from them and they'll still have some shooter

So I am not sure. I did post about that before and the mutant factor fo my stalker game is 0.25, but since the last update I did am I just getting swarmed by them.
I just had to fight off 1 chimera, 5 dogs, and 2 fractures. All quite close to each other.
zcp can give you super bad squads as it can give you one-mutant squads
i lost a run the other day to a 6 boar squad
Its been nothing but bad runs so far.
Lets see, I got ambushed by 2 psy people, a pack of 4 boars and a 6 boar squad.
I then switched to another map, went south to cordon from garbage and got attacked by a quartet of fleshs and another 4 boars.
psy people is a really fancy way to call controllers

always take the gas mask and any of the 2 suits available, take one gun that has cheap ammo and can kill mutants and low-mid tier stalkers (any 12ga shotgun can do) and spend some on meds and maybe a drink

Ok, something is DEFINITELY wrong with my game for some reason after the update. Mutants just spawned inside of the bandit base and wiped out almost all of them.
There is basically almost no stalker spawns, its all just monsters.
How do I use the "see stats at full condition" function of Better Stats Bars"? I thought it was just holding Left Alt, but nothing happens. I rebound Left Alt to be my crouch key, could that have something to do with it?

what item are you using the function on? it shows the full stats of damaged items like suits and artefacts

the damage is affected by the barrel condition but not the overall condition

So a 1% condition gun is exactly the same as the same gun at 100% condition, it just jams more?
why does my game keep crashing
lower overall condition of a gun increases how fast its parts take damage while each part increases jam chance (except the barrel which reduces damage and armor penetration power)

Do pistols just fail to accompany the progression curve unless you use AP ammo? I find them very underwhelming mid-game, unless you're shooting mutants with hydroshock, and pistol ironsights are awful to shoot legs with, so I can't even use the FN Five-Seven since it can't equip any sights
the five-seven is probably the best pistol out there tho and it works
I just hate its ironsights with a passion, it's like holding a solid rectangle of steel right up to your face
the ap ammo is cheap to craft, you collect a lot of pistol ammo parts after every fight

And 45 HydroShock doesn't seem much superior to buckshot/slugs, and is also much more expensive
yeah, but you can have a gun in 45 acp in the pistol slot and then 2 main guns for stalkers
I just use the shotgun for both, granted that's after I get anything other than a 2-shot "let me just reload right quick"

There's the "GAMMA No trade with randoms stalkers" mod under the GAMMA Economy and Craft category
trading with random npcs in general is useless but it can easily break the intended economy/progression on rare occasions
I think trading with npcs is a totally normal thing. And when you play scavenger mode. Its useful
they have the worst prices for buying and selling and sometimes can sell 100% guns to you

but it's honestly a bit tedious waiting for the animation to play every time you need to check something in the inventory

Backpack anims are just buggy in general and nobody as bothered to redo them yet. You can enable them and also use any backpack mods you want but be prepared to get softlocked at some point.

after that, you use the gamma mo2 and you launch the game from there
the launcher is more of an installer, you will use MO anyway. Follow #old-how-to carefully, if something isn't clear you can ask in #old-only-installer-support
Don't expect it if you want to use the backpack though, #old-bugs is off limits for you if you use it

You don't have to carry so many of them around. And they do stack on themselves.

the m4 butcher has a canted red dot, right? It's a limitation with those, you can either have an alternative sight or a variable zoom scope

How curious, weapons dropped in Cordon indeed have no ammo inside them, but weapons dropped in other areas have ammo and can be Unloaded.
Weapons found in stashes may have ammunition inside of them. Any weapons dropped by NPCs don't.

I don't know where the edit was made exactly, but I'd bet you have to edit something in MagsRedux or in GAMMA Economy.

Depends on what you're shooting. If you disable log spam remover at the bottom of the load order you can see prints for all of your shots in the console.

Yes
From what I read, Handling affects the "crosshair spread" when you're firing on auto, but it's not very noticeable when you're using semi-auto or firing in small bursts. So unless you're going full dakka, Recoil is more benefitial. Take it with a grain of salt though.

Ok awesome - last question for now (and thank you again Puckins) - The key bindings have "unjam" set to "z" - but the game has reload also perform the unjam function and so on. Can you only unjam with "Z" or does reloading work? I only ask because I like to have my prone set to Z (and crouch to C)
if you have unjam reload on same key checked in MO2 the default keybind for both is R and reload is set to f10 and should stay that way. Z is used for powers on craftable exo suit power supplies but you can rebind that in the MCM
And followup to the FoV question - the default being 80, does it have to stay 80, or can I use like 75 or something?
Ok so without that reload and unjam being same option set (I assume it's not with the default installation), reload is R, unjam is Z, and the power armor powers are also Z (unless reset in MCM, which I probably will if unjam is set to Z by default)?

Reload/unjam is on by default.
I just changed the exo power key to be shift+z but you can modify it other ways as well just check the options.
My reload key was set to R then, not F10 - hmm.

@wise sparrow Hey quick update, the default exo suit power is also H now. Maybe one of the newer updates changed it up? Either way no conflict there. I think the keybinds page in discord may be out of date though - if reload and unjam is on by default, and the default key for it is R, then Z is a free key (as far as I know). Everything else is right though I think - I had to reset some of my usual keybinds around that page's image so that's why I had questions about that stuff.

is radiation from food meant to be countered by your clothing? It's described as external radiation protection, yet when I eat a meal that is supposed to give me +120 rads I only receive 40 thanks to my gas mask.

Before I had the gasmask it would give me full rads
if you see Duty reporting they heard gunfire then you know there's Duty present nearby
which can be helpful

What's the best thing to do with a stash full of weapons in medium/low condition - in the early game? Should i just field strip them all to build a parts mountain?
keep anything you might want to repair later
There are sometimes quests that ask for weapons
also parts below 60% condition are scrap metal, worthless, you can sell them to technicians for a little coin tho
and a parts mountain should get you a nice little income

I read that reloading has changed a bit for single ammo weapons, such as Kar 98 and shotguns. I'm using a Kar 98 and no matter what, if I'm at 0 ammo and reload, the first one always bolt shuts, then opens to finish reloading the remaining 4 bullets. I tried long press reload, double press reload, single press reload. What is a good solution?
Found the post I had seen before. But, it doesn't seem to work for me. If 0 ammo, the first round always reloads then closes the bolt, then reopens it and continues loading the remaining 4 rounds. I am not sure why.

I've seen some screenshots in here where the world looks considerably more green that stock GAMMA. I've tried disable 241, 242 and Grulag's dead bushes as per the suggestion by lauta_ro but the ground is still pretty much entirely brown. Can I do anything?

It affects the effectiveness of the item. So if you find 40% armor plate - it will have lower stats. The only way to fix it is to upgrade it.

does anyone know the actual effect of the "Artificer Eagerness" achievement?, it says it reduces how many parts you need to craft items but it didnt seem to have an effect.
The excuse rightly for not finding everything every time is "it broke during the shooting" but I can see it! 
And like I said, it doesn't ruin progression even one bit because you can't find stuff with 100% condition, it's always in shit condition, I have a Spartan or whatever helmet that I'd love to use but I can't repair it because progression

My Spawn was bugged for 2 days after an update. The entire zone was filled with Monsters and no stalkers.
I went through truck yard to Dark valley, dodging 1 chimera, 1 bloodsucker and 4 psydog squads.
Then in dark valley I was chased by 6 dogs as well as another chimera, I ran past the bandit base, hoping to drop some there, and hid in the nearby building. The stairway was turned into a killing zone of mutants and bandits while the bandit base was getting swamred by 11 zombies. When all was dead I escaped to Garbage, but I had to slip past 1 pseudogiant, 4 more dogs, 4 more flesh, and 3 snorkers.
From there I went down to Cordon to the stalker village and had to get past 3 more psydogs and 5 more flesh as well as another pack of 4 psydogs.
This was terrifying deadly and I am happy that resetting the stalker spawn value fixed it so now everything is more evened out.

If you'd like a story experience, Shadow of Chernobyl is pretty good - requires some light modding though. Unmodded Anomaly is a good baseline for understand what to do. Gamma would overwhelm.

In worst case you can disable gamma economy and not fight with crafting and reparing
But as an EFT player you can pretty much enjoy the gamma gameplay and Mechanics and pickup the lore by carefully reading the PDA encyclopedia and dialogues
Yea i tried to gift one dude original stalker trilogy, he simply had not grabed the vibe because lots of reading and bugs
Maybe watch a video on the lore and events of the OG series
Gamma starts after the main games in 2018
And it adds few narrative elements to explain what happened during 2012 and 2018
Especially when talking to the clear sky chief

I'd recomend go watch Call of Prypiat intro on youtuve it will more or less explain main lore plotline.

You'll find all weapons and armor in really bad condition however the weapon parts and armor parts can be in good condition or even great condition. So depending on what you would like to do you can disassemble the weapons and armor for its parts. Or if you have toolkits that repair parts or replace parts you can raise the durability doing so.

Disassembling destroys the weapon and field stripping allowed you to remove certain weapon parts but keeps the weapon skeleton
so strip then dissassemble
So If you have a G36 rifle and you Disassemble the weapon you'll no longer have it. But if you field strip you can replace every part except the barrel without a toolkit

@willow hawk my installer isn't bringing in new mods for some reason. I have the newer .exe too. However mine says 296 active. I have yacs disabled but none of the newer mods from the last week or so

I didn't read the announcement for the new 3.6 and updated using the old .exe. so I did the same as you just said and it didn't do anything but this time it's working as intended which is nice.

Did ammo disassembly get changed? Getting less than half of the total amount of ammo I’m taking apart at the moment. Took apart about 110 45 fmj and got about 40 of each component.
it's because grok changed the start date in the alife file, all you need to do is change it to 26/10/2018, at least that's the date i put and it fixed it
it'll inflate your days played statistic in your pda though, if you care about that

Yeah only enemies/stashes and some quests will give you armor
They'll be in bad shape too so you'll need to scavenge for good armor parts and disassemble to fix the armor you want to use

Ammo is based on the faction and reputation you have. For example clear sky, freedom, mercenaries etc are nato so they carry 5.56. And loner, duty, military are WS so they'll carry 5.45. You need at least moderate goodwill for them to sell you their respective ammos

Does the Miser's Skull artifact effect scale with enemy rank (so higher ranked stalkers give more money per shot), or does it only scale with the amount of Miser's Skull you have equipped? Headshot a rookie Bandit with 2 Miser's Skull and got about 100 from it. Not quite the amount I was expecting

it depends on how many artefacts. perk based artefacts arent supposed to be the most useful or consistent thing out there, if you dont like them just dont use them

every time you update it will enable the default and put your custom settings in disabled. just move it and enable then disable the defaults
or make a new 'custom' mod profile 
only problem is if you update you wont get the new addons/fixes if you do that
cross reference the default mod profile and place the new mods accordingly
little annoying to do but it aint too bad
its easier to just move and enable your own mods.... unless you have a list of 10+ addons

listen for the sounds it makes and dont sprint, just crouch walk
is your screen becoming blue or white ? those are the effects of poltergeists. if its not and you are hearing sounds like a psy-mutant (controller for example) then its a burer and crouch walking wont help

Is there a way to fix long saving and loading times ? It was working fine but now it takes 3 min to save and even longer to load :/

depending on how much is going on around you it might take longer, also inventory size probably has something to do with it aswell. usually i just save via F5 and never had problems with long saving times or anything similar
it also depends what hardware your PC has I suppose
but that usually only affects loading times

repairing does fix the shattering
it even makes a crunchy sound when applying repair items
its a good indicator on how fucked your helmet is
to test it out, take a SEVA helmet thats badly damaged and see how shattered that thing is
Hi one question in arena fight against bandits there is an exo guy syomka something.. and he doesnt wanna die , i even enabled enemy health so i can see and none of my shots are damaging him ,and yes i used a ton of headshots ... Is it a glitch or... anyone ?
you can only damage him with AP ammo
since he has a Exo

Yeah you need AP ammo for anything remotely armored
Or else your bullet wont penetrate and you will hear a metallic sound
like once in wild territory an exo suit merc was walking around ad night that sound is awesome and scary

When you use BaS upgrade kits on weapons, the base weapon shows up as a weapon part in the UI. The quality always seems to be trash, even when the weapon being upgraded was very high condition, with almost maxed out parts condition. Is this intended behaviour?

It's your HP, you start grunting when on low hp
Thirst makes a lip smacking sound and hunger just makes a stomach growling sound
