Once the sounds load into memory, then it's much better. But for the first 10 to 15 minutes as things start happening around the zone, the sound layers freeze me up until it's loaded. I'm using 16gig RAM. That's my laptop's max.

nvgs are supposed to be bad and blurry, especially the tier 1 and 2
with beef's nvgs at least
try deleting shaders_cache folder in anomaly/appdata if you think something could be unintended with how the nvgs look
it blurs the hud models on purpose as that's how nvgs look IRL it's a realism thing

i think they start appearing after you reach operation afterglow storyline, sometimes zcp spawns a squad but they are very rare
as others said, it is intended. If you still want to remove it go to GAMMA RC3\mods\189- Beef's NVG - theRealBeef\gamedata\shaders\r3 and remove pp_blur.ps or change the file extension

all of my rare/isg weapons i've found in stashes have been in army warehouses. you can also spawn a unisg squad by taking a lost signal task for ecologist in jupiter as that can spawn a squad on 4 ecologist corpses.

Since you kill most monolith, it will force the game to spawn new dudes, mostly consisting of high ranks in my experience.

after updating Meat Chunk which had 100% in LLMC before update now has 15% inside LLMC and after taking it of LLMC it has 14% condition, so I guess it is fixed

You dont need to replace all, just replace some to get it to 65% abd then use the advanced sewing kit or whatever

Whats the point of the Moss Artefact's perk? Some of the benefits from using it, like invis until attack, are nice, but generally doesn't seem worth having to pop anti rads every single time I want to use it since eating raw meat ruins you with rads.
not all perk based artefacts are good or useful, and some of them are very specific in what they do

The bonuses are really useful, but to have to take that much damage, and then recover from it, can make it intimidating to use.
My biggest problem is that the cost in meds you need to survive for using the moss, you could generally achieve the same result, or better, by purchasing better meds. Except like, the invisibility. I already dropped a comment in feedback, hopefully it gets looked at again and made worthwhile.

The Ecologist mechanic/technician is missing. I checked the search for previous issues but there are no solutions I could find. I probably changed the Anomaly population settings, but I did not touch ZCP since I have no idea how to control that mod.

finishing living legend took long enough on this character and i cbf doing another questline on the same one
They progess in order, so you will need to finish story line 1, then progress to story line 2, then 3. It's not an unlock style.

One reason so many appear is due to Stealth mod. The vanilla enemies didn't call all of their friends, but on the other hand they could see you from a long way away, there was no way to sneak. I wonder if disabling STealth mod for the CNPP raid would make it more bearable for you?
I don't know about the changed armors. I'm only on game day 5 or so and have not seen many mid or upper tier armors.

500 RU for each encrypted PDA. If you have multiples it will decrypt for #*500 RU.

Using mags redux, double tapping R drops the mag, but i can't figure out how to turn it off as it's sometimes activating on a single Tap (instead of double) and failing to reload the gun.

For the artifacts quest, one is to find a piece in the Bog Pounder. Unfortunately, it is directly in the middle of a pounder and shooting it doesn't make it move. Bolts don't seem to deactivate these anomalies. Any suggestions?

How to fix the loading times bug?
Just an hour ago loading a game took a minute at maximum. Now it slowed down to taking 6 minutes and the level transitions are slowed down even more.

I never wanted to become a loner so IDK. just figured i'd throw out an idea
you can still find items in stashes, but usually minimal items like glues or medical items
but to get the vanilla stashes back you have to disable stash overhaul and probably a few other patches, but good luck progressing the pack like that

In Gunslinger items were just laying in random spots, they weren't limited to being inside a stash container. It caused few problems like not being able to collect every item in a marked stash because few items were unreachable or finding L85A2's with ammunition under many trees which made the game easier.

Perk artifacts will lose condition over time while on the belt.
Take them off to not use up their condition. And use the Artifact Melter to recharge them.
If they reach 0, they will be deleted, so pay attention.

there are two kind of updates, the ones from gamma data, and the ones from the addons directly from moddb
for example the majority in #📢development are from gamma data, once you open the installer launcher, click on update gamma data, and then install gamma addons
it will take like 15 sec and then you should be good to play
if you click on complete gamma installation, it will begin to check if any current addon you have is outdated
and then it wil search for the newest in moddb and download/onstall it

I want to update my G.A.M.M.A. thing, but:
- What's the difference between the two? Do I have to click both of them?
- What do I need to do? Is there an order?
The difference
"Complete G.A.M.M.A. installation" updates everything. Simple as that.
This option will install GAMMA again (yes, it's intended) and, at the same time, will check if there are any updates for the installed mods, so if any mod gets updated, you'll get the update. And yes, it's slower but it's normal and to be expected since you're basically installing everything again + checking if something have an update.
"Only install G.A.M.M.A. Addons", on the other hand,only refers to the #📢development channel. This is obviously faster because it doesn't have the need to check 270+ mods, but, again, just to be sure, it will only check what's new inside #📢development. That's it. If you want to update everything, you'll need to use the first option.

A: No, you don't need to do that. It really only depends on what you want to do. So ask yourself this:
"Do I want to update everything and be sure about it?" -> Complete G.A.M.M.A. installation
"I don't want to wait countless hours, minutes and seconds just to update everything..." -> Only install G.A.M.M.A. Addons
Or maybe because who knows:
"I don't want to do anything at all!" -> Don't do it then! As long as everything works for you, it's fine, you're not obligated to do anything.
(unless there is some serious bug that need to be fixed, in that case it's better to update)

Hello, can someone please help/give me advice on what to do from here?
My smoke textures in my game are completely broken. Whenever theres smoking exiting the gun after shooting or if theres a campfire nearby, all of the smoke is just black pixels. It happened after I tried installing YAWM but I couldnt get it to work so I unchecked the YAWM file and the file with the patch for cinematic.fx for YAWM. Since then, my game has been displaying this bug. I've also tried reinstalling cinematic.fx by itself but it still hasnt fixed it.
If I absolutely have to ill just reinstall everything but I dont know why its still showing the bug. Is it cinematic.fx? Heres a video showing it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've been wanting to play this badly but its pretty game breaking.

if any addon you are using has it's own particles.xr that's probably the reasonb
no idea how it works, but i guess that the particles.xr wants to play a particle effect and wants to use textures for that, but isnce it doesn't find any texture it displays the black thing
also, remember to delete shader cache after unticking them
See, thats why I assumed it was YAWM but the snow was still not showing for me so I unchecked it. I obviously didnt follow the instructions correctly for it not showing any snow so I just disabled the mod but the smoke is still showing. Do you know of an easy way for me to find what mods have their own particle.xr through MO2?
I've done this everytime I've tried restarting the game but it still doesnt do anything to the pixel smoke.

Well for whatever reason it works now after I disabled cinemavfx. I feel like im going crazy cause I thought that was enabled by default but maybe not. Im just glad its working now lol
This is simply a curiosity, but when stalker 2 was announced to be using the unreal engine if I’m correct. People stated that despite its graphical abilities it’s actually harder to mod stalker 2 with it? Yet unbelievably, there are constantly new mods coming out for original stalker yet with many limitations. What would it take to sky’s the limit a mod ambition? Rebuilt the current engine from scratch?

I changed my difficulty settings bigtime last night.. Maxing out everything was cool, sure, but somewhere in that, i feel something was lost. Dying in 1 hit from a rogue fart, well, the novelty wears off.. I began to ask myself.. "Do i really enjoy reloading every time i so much as look at someone wrong?" and i started to think about the direction i was going.. So i pulled back a lot of the stuff i had done.. It's still harder than the base hard difficulty, but just not crazy hard. ..... .... And then i went and deleted half the loot in the game by changing the corpse loot.
why can we find these as far north as jupiter and zaton 
or is it because those areas are just less dangerous ?

main idea was, these areas are kinda safe compared to the rest in the north. Did this so you are pushed to go in actual dangerous spots like red forest, pripyat etc

Is GAMMA at the mercy of modders who update their mods, that you automatically get that latest one even if it changes stuff that gamma doesn't want or hasnt checked? ie: What happens if DLTX minimod pack gets updated, or OCD fixes gets updated, and i do a complete install? Do i then get (insert change/feature here) that they just added?
otherwise it's just Zaton > Jupyter > Zaton > Jupyter: super boring since these areas are vast and empty lol
and one need to actually completely revamp the maps to make them actually interesting
I found myself almost loosing money trying to play too much in these two areas
you are better off going to dangerous places to maximize the loot > high risk > high reward

now if files are changed, yes, the pack is that the mercy of other modders
but usually addons are improved and errors are spotted quickly
And there's a version control in MO2

you can see which archive the files were extracted from
that's the strength of gamma: complete install downloads every new version of all addons if the addon got updated compared to what you have installed locally

With some money to spare, I run Zaton: Swamps, Oakpine, Iron Forest, Claw and then to Jupiter (via Guide) to farm the northern anomalies, then back to Zaton and rinse repeat. It is quite profitable (got 4 or 5 empties and a couple wrenched in some runs), but Red Forest is stil more profitable. But Zaton and Jupiter work really well together, if you just run from anomaly to anomaly
Plus, there it is fairly safe, so less time spent shooting, more time spent looking for artifacts
anomaly to anomaly works a bit yes, it's just that runs are quite long during each spot

also one of the most scary area of the game, so it's kind of good to have a nice incentive to go there

but everything wants to kill me there. first time i went there, there was monolith fighting against mercs and clear sky. they were getting wiped out by those two until reinforcements came wiped out both factions. i just quietly hid in the bushes as they passed by the dead corpses of everyone. stealth saves lives.


also, is the patches request from aslan bugged? i got 50 monolith patches and it doesnt have the option to turn them in. just upto 30 patches option show up.

i found an ak at 76% in a stash , i fixed to 100% and fixed all the damaged parts to 100% , i load in the wild territory and my ak was a 0% but all the parts are at 100%
A majority of the content in LSZ has been removed by IgorNitch and the archive name has changed.
If you still have the old archive you can manually extract the AI tweak.
Is curse of immortality/respawn mod compatible with gamma modpack?
In getting a brief stutter and loss of fps when i shoot in the dark or there are stalkers near campfires etc. i guess it has to do with the light shadow whatever thing. Any tips on which setting i can turn down?

Yeah. The solution is to not fight in the arena, because this modpack isn't designed with the arena in mind.

also in one of the fights you fight loners, if you are friendly/neutral with them they might not like you killing them
It's not only about balance, since the NPCs inside counts as 'citisens' of Rostok and can turn the entire base against you.

I don't know if radiation can outright kill you. Since my best guess is you either ran out of Psy health or there was an emission going on. Those two usually give a blackscreen then the message that you escaped a fate etc

Afaik it can only heal over time and the screen is really nauseating the lower your psy health is

Was there some mod that effects performance added recently? When i played awhile ago i had like a stable 50-60 fps but now it's a choppy mess with the same settings. And my gpu never even goes above 60% usage

My recommendation is Yantar, Wild Territory, Army Warehouse, and Truck Cemetery.
Basic can be obtained through a quest / barter.
Advanced / Expert have to be obtained from a stash. Green stashes have a 100% to contain a tool-kit.
is there anything that can cause a belt attachment to drop itself? i seem to have lost an improved surge suppressor between two quicksaves and not sure how
possible i could have somehow dropped it but it was attached to my belt so seems unlikely

No, it still works like that.
If you search something, like a corpse, and press SHIFT on your items, it will transfer. Not drop.
This is partly why I change it to CTRL, so that I can drop things while in my stash.
It gets really annoying trying to get rid of junk and having to wait for the freeze to end to see your stash

You can craft a heavy kit with adv tools, the recipe is a lot more expensive than if you have expert available but its worth it you have a good heavy armor you want to repair
you're better off just getting expert tools though the heavy kit advanced recipe needed 17 medium kits last i saw

I think they reset the effects / depends if one is stronger then the other.
If you use an Epi-pen and then caffeine tablets, the epi-pen will cancel out the caffeine tablets effects. At least I am pretty sure that is the way it may work.
you're calling a function to complete a task but not specifying which task you want to complete in the quotes at the end. as an example, this is the one that you would use to complete the bugged ecologist escort task in jupiter. task_manager.get_task_manager():set_task_completed("jup_b6_scientist_tech_task_1")

That is a difficulty, indeed. I didn't start with a mask so I also had trouble with the patches of radiation. First aid kits, water, vodka, cigarettes will be your early friends!

It looks like scope on ar 15 is blocking laser dot. Is it ok of FOV problem?
is the laser enabled ? (sometimes putting a scope on the gun turns off the laser)
no it is working, just blocked by the scope. I think something with position, because I played another modpack with another position and it was ok with that weapon
Yes the model of Scope is just too big (it's okay with this scope from gauss rifle)

also it "Should" have detecting feature that is not working (not a problem with modepack, more like original oversight)

So far, there hasn't been an update that broke saves. So you are free to start a longplay run, there won't be any updates that will break your save.

I think upgraded Ak12 MONO is a good gun, but it lacks the best scope (march tactical with dynamic zoom) and grenades for it's grenade launcher are so rare. Maybe the regular ak12 will be the better option (you can use any nato scopes with it + standart VOG grenades are common)

There are some tactical kits (dual scopes). They can be changed unlike upgrade kit for weapons. They can be used with some BaS weapons without integrated scopes I think
