I have a quick question: i'm just reading the manual here on discord and i was wondering if the added storylines in this modpack are the actual only storylines in the game, or they are just additional content? For example, are the vanilla questlines such as Living Legend, Mortal Sin etc still available? I wanted to do the Hollow Boundaries UNISG questline on a new playthrough with this modpack installed, but maybe thats not possible?
The additional storylines are just that - extra questlines you can play. They are completely optional, so you can skip them or play them, they are not tied to the main storyline.
So yes, you can still play the LTTZ questline and the UNISG one, no problem.

any way to decrease npc sight through bushes ?
in the Disabled tab. It can cause the NPC to behave very stupid I've heard, but I haven't had any issues with it yet

In the third pic you can see that even after taking out the artefact with 100% condition... is still at 100% and it's not getting randomized

I always save a copy of my personal user.ltx since the default keybinds are garbage. The screenshot path into the appdata folder is default from Anomaly.

No. Just what was default in rc 2. Its also not weapon specific. I just disassembled the weapon i did last time and no issue

Try disabling 209-DLTX FDDA extra animations.
It may interfere with the event manager when you enter the 'disassembling state'.

B&s has that on some weapons. Idk know if its included in gamma but in base anomaly with that addon you can get canted sites. I believe they are part of some upgrade kits

I don't remember the description of the quests but one should be about standing near the anomaly and using the scanner
The other should be something about dropping the scanner in the proximity of an anomaly
They're different and as such you have two different scanner
I'm guessing here but this have the picture of a scanner you can hold in your hand
So this should be the one where you need to stand in front or next to an anomaly and wait for the scanner to do his thing
You need to wait a few seconds in front of the anomaly with the scanner you can hold

usualy 24 - 32 ingame hours for smart terrains, note that im stating vanilla numbers - but i dont think gamma changes anything in that regard
is there any recommendations for graphics preset? i want to max everything but not sure if something is broken and will hardly drop my fps for no reason
you might want to check #old-framerate-optimisation as in go for max everything and go down the list until you hit the hopefully constant FPS you seek

btw since i was fucking around with it, there are a few BAS scopes that are actualy 3D (magnification inside the scope not "just zoomed in" with an overlay on screen) and they chop down the FPS to something between 20-30 is that just me because potatoe or does that sadly always happen that way?

not as far as i am aware but i also usualy only use one type of BAS Pistol anyway since im a sucker for the HK P220/226, tho i think some animation are a bit choppy they dont feel laggy, at least on my end

having an npc do fatal damage to the head at full hp with the best helmet in the game on MEDIUM difficulty is already obnoxious enough but he's doing it through the walls over and over it's kinda sus at this point
There is definitely some janky camera animations coming with bas. Playing at high refresh rate this looks terrible when I take out my pistol lol. I need to figure out why it does not happen on all weapons, or maybe just remove all of the animations for better consistency.

Usually what loot you get from marked stashes, and also what type of gear various stalkers will be equipped with when they spawn.

Fixed this issue by removing the "camera_effects" folder from the BAS mod, it is actually recommended on the BAS page and does not influence other weapons since all other camera effects than pistols ones, are redundant in the load order. Also there is 2 bas patches in the load order, making the first one useless/redundant 🙂

try to clean your stashes and only keep what you need, if you want to loot hoard get a better pc to put it simply
but you can still have a lot of loot in the stashes before it actually starts fps dropping

It'll be better to mod Stalker 2 since UE5 engine should be really accessible for modding. Also much smoother performance.

Do I need to interact with a campfire in a specific way to be able to cook with a Field Cooking Kit?
The "All flammables' thing has a (0) next to it, and i'm standing in front of a campfire with the Extinguish prompt appearing.
Shouldn't be necessary. You should be able to stand close to the fire, open the cooking kit, and then select the food you want to cook.

Field cooking and Army kettle were both locked to Charcoal in Vanilla Anomaly.
Not only that, you don't need to carry around all the equipment for cooking, you can just cook (for example) X meat and you won't starve to death for days

I dont know if this is the right place to ask, but im running into a CTD when trying to disable the Ballistic Overhaul addon. No disrespect or anything to the mod, but it just isn't for me and it's the only addon within Gamma modpack that i want to disable. I disabled GBOOBS and the two patches for vanilla ammo icons and blindside, but when i try to play it that way, im getting a CTD whenever i kill any random NPC. Are there by chance other mods/patches within Gamma that rely on GBOOBS that i should disable as well? I cant really find them anyway, but i could very well be overseeing something.
This is when I highlight GBOOBS, have you disabled these as well?

A quick way is debug mode + teleport on the stash
- God mode on just to be sure not to die if the stash is in a place that you can't normally be

Yeah that's the gist. You can use ramrods to repair some parts and you can make or find relevant repair kits which will let you auto-get the parts at the cost of using the repair kits uses

yeah one of 3 unstuck after reloading... and stuck again
they can get unstuck sometimes via reloading the save or taking damage, but it does not work every time and at some places you can only help them with a bullet to the back of their heads (Eastern Part of the Railway in the Cordon for example)

Get the ReShade installer and make it uninstall the pre-installed ReShade from the .exe you run from (your anomaly folder)\bin folder.

The problem is, you need Anomaly folder so that MO2 reads stuff from the game and so that the installer can patch your game.

the mo2 error is not important, get the crash log from anomaly/appdata/logs but you most likely have some mods at the end of loader section that need to be moved and enabled (step 9 of #old-how-to )

Ive been trying to fix the fps issue the whole day, i have ~25 less fps than in EFP, i followed all steps in #old-framerate-optimisation.
First 14 steps did nothing, when trying to disable the mods listed in additional steps, my game wont even launch, saying it cannot generate shaders
Now, when i delete shader cache and try to play base anomaly OR gamma, when i get into a game my screen is completely black (i can see the inventory and hud, rest is all black)
(I managed to fix this by reverting the default GAMMA user.ltx and deleting cache)

Yes. The engine stores items in memory within a given area.
Even if you spread your loot around in two or more stashes, yet having thousands of items combined, it is still going to drop FPS as if you had everything in one stash.
The upside of having multiple stashes is reducing the delay when opening a stash.

Magazines addon is fun but also alters gameplay quite a lot. @willow hawk explained you loot far more ammo with it and it kinda spoils the progression. On top of it, it renders weapon update increasing ammo counts totally useless. On the other hand, it adds some micro management and oh fuck moments some people enjoy.
i feel ya on some parts, i love my 9x39 weapons and the only reason to "upgrade" to one down the line is either nearly double the damage or more options for better optics - since i can just loot or buy a 30round mag for them and call it a day
i personally love the micromanagement. pulling out mags from weapons,unloading the bullets. just makes looting more rewarding. then again i do have like 70 rounds of ap 5.45x39 and 100+ hollow point. mostly cuz of the 60 round mags I keep finding.
