after some tuning got it to work, bandits finally hostile to mercs, mercs fighting bandits, just tested in a new playthrough. For some odd reason bandit medic at the valley is displayed as a merc on the map, but other than that everything looks fine 
is he a stalker lore character ? he could have something to do with mercs

what game difficulty are you playing on btw?
that explains why they are really accurate, although ai always tends to be accurate if you get close to them but if you stay mid to long range they will miss their shots a lot
you can still change those settings i told you about(i cant seem to get the menus cuz i messed something up so i cant screenshot the settings yet)
i think there is 2 sliders but i cant remember their exact names since i never change them

i dont know exactly what it affects but from the name it should affect their aim in general
from what i noticed while i used it, they hit headshots a lot more

RC2 currently is in beta and meant for people wanting to help/explore any bugs that exist currently. It's expected to find problems.
If you want stability, go RC1 for now

after you put the downloads folder you will still have to do step 7 (click complete gamma installation) having that downloads folder just speeds up the installation since it wont have to download the mods again

there is a lot to learn and get used to in anomaly and even more in gamma, but learning through it is somewhat fun and later you will surely get better

i am sorry but the game is about pushing you to learn how to counter what it throws at you, lack of ammo, food and drinks and tough enemies and constant struggle to survive especially if you are new to the game

gamma by default is a bit harder than anomaly and its made to make the player be able to spend more time to progress, its more fun to a lot of people that way

you can remove the addon i think without any issues if meeting a tough mutant in cordon is not something you want to see
also you probably found out by now that unless its a mission target you dont need to kill all mutants or stalkers you meet
use the right ammo and the right gun always, using 9mm on mutants or using buckshot for an armored military stalker does not make any sense so dont do that

How does the supply level logic work? When does it increase?
doing quests for a certain faction's stalkers gives you goodwill with that faction
when goodwill goes up trader levels also go up
from level 1 to 5, and it goes as 0 500 1000 1500 2000
you can see these exact values in the pda relations tab
sometimes appears when there are enemies for a certain "kill the stalkers" or "kill the mutants" mission
and it marks one of the enemy's exact location

ok, folks, I need help. The repair system. I'm getting used to it. But, here's the question:
I have all the replacement parts for it including the barrel. But I can't replace it even on the workbench cuz I allegedly need the advanced weapon repair kit.
That kit is not sold by the technician. It's on supply level 2
Do I have other options for it?
you can craft the advanced weapon repair kit but only if you have the right tool kit (expert) although you can put the new fully repaired parts inside the gun without using the crafting menu but that might reduce overall gun condition so you will have to keep using cleaning and repairing items to keep it full
so while in inventory you can drag a part into the gun and it will be replaced "on the field"
only part you cant replace this way is the barrel
but the barrel does not cause jams so you can still replace all other parts and only down side to having a damaged barrel is that the gun loses some damage output

it explicitly says that it can't be replaced in the field
damn, ok, I guess I'll have to run around with a bad barrel
it can only be replaced inside the crafting menu and only using a repair kit (you can also "maintain" the barrel but for that you still need the repair kit)
craft it or its sold by a mechanic if you give them the expert tool kit, but if you only have one expert you should probably keep it
also crafting items is almost always more efficient than buying them
Is there a way for me to change the exosuits' gloves?
They don't fit with my taste really.
i am not exactly sure but i think there are some optional textures in thap files, just reinstall and check the ones you want i think. tho i am not sure if there are any exosuit ones or just seva suits
You need the vise to replace part, the kit you can use in the field is used only for crafting

All toolkits are a complement to one another. You might find a hammer and tongs in the Basic kit, but not in the Advanced kit.
It's also a check to not skip progression by finding Expert Tools first.

they got updated since he updated the mod list, when the version changes the installer no longer recognizes the mod to know exactly where to put it so it just leaves it at end of loader

you can craft the 12guage cleaning kit or buy it (also these cleaning kits are quite common in npc loot so keep an eye out for them in stashes and in stalker inventories)
always have one of these cleaning kits for each of your guns, never know when the gun is really dirty if you use it again it will turn worn and you will have to completely replace the part
also unless one of the parts is worn or worse there is no need to use a repair kit (the rare expensive ones) just right click the gun and maintain parts and clean the part thats dirty

like the tactical one is 60k whereas the RAS non tactical, can equip a suppressor, has more scope options, appears to have to have same stats and UI says base sell price is 1/2 of the tactical version
then the drum fed one with a built in canted sight is somhow a 0.5kg less then than the tactical without attachmeents so idunno

It's actually pretty easy. You just need to change craft.ltx file
The main issue is that there's no one to one armor mapping between factions
and making tons of new armors feels... I don't know, there's a lot already
i was thinking more about the base suits, like sunrise and thier counterpart in the factions, but for just an alternative way to get one, even with the posibility to make it into a proto exo later... i guess dont worth the work?

You can already get suits from tasks
Swamp scientist give you a scientific suit which allows you to avoid most fights with the disguise system
i thought i have to do the Clear Sky and or Swamp brother at the church
And the cook in Yantar can give you a decent armor to start with
i honestly try to avoid spirit, since his suits makes things kind of.... easy
So it allows you to get ok armors relatively fast until you get the tools

Because i gave EFP 3.0 a spin and while i think im still in cover part of my dome sticks out aboth it, since the cam there is somewhere around the neck. I couldn't find advanced tools anywhere. Is there a good way I could increase the chance of finding the adv tools?

the state of the weapon does matter yes, they will have to fight jams as well - also thier weapons will get damaged and break after a while as well
for the armor i know there is a mod that makes them wear the suits you give them but i dont think its used in gamma
