Turn your anti virus and firewall off (Defender, McAfee, Norton, etc) temporarily to just update / download the GAMMA mods and when done, turn it back on.

I just installed GAMMA and anomaly seems to open and run while when I use the mod organizer, press play it loads something, shows it's locked and after 2 seconds returns to the mod organizer like nothing happened. I had a previous issue that was causing the game to crash when in dx11. Someone suggested that i downgrade to dx9, which i did and understand the modlist prep. My issue is that i would like to go back to playing in dx11 without the game constantly crashing

@agile patio G.A.M.M.A. isn't built with Warfare in mind and Warfare, per se, have bad perfomance, bugs, issues, etc., this is why it isn't recommended.
You can play it if you really want to, but forget about #🔨base-gamma-support, this channel support is only for G.A.M.M.A. vanilla (which basically means no extra stuff at all) and is also used by Grok for bug fixing.
Since G.A.M.M.A. vanilla doesn't use Warfare, you'll need to use #🔨modded-gamma-support.

if purely on windows check antivirus (if you were using anything like bitdefender) cause that'd be something keeping MO2 from virtualizing, if it was standard one (defender) then check modlist, if that was fine, see if you can launch anomaly even in the first place to see if its issue with anomaly or GAMMA only issue

but since you're running something else, I have no idea

Hello there!

I've been experiencing crashes that do not trigger any errors, just send me straight to desktop.
There does not seem to be any particular circumstances that trigger it, at least from what I saw.
I've reinstalled gamma from scratch 3 days ago and that did not help.
I've also set my graphic settings to match the ones in FAQ and tried the core 0 shenanigans to no avail.
I'm running a Geforce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER with i7-14700 KF and 32GB of ram on windows 10 and my drivers are up to date.
I'm also attaching a screen of my mod organizer.
If a video of a crash itself would help I can probably record one without much trouble.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

going from the AnomalyLauncher.exe --> AnomalyDX11AVX.exe takes a bit longer than normal (10s to 15s) not really that important for me
but when the game is running in the menu and i click new game it takes anywhere around 10min to 15min to start a new game

3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

hi - did a totally fresh install following the instructions. had all four download files, two folders for gamma and anomaly on root drive, started anomaly first and worked fine. finished instructions for gamma - had 400 something mods. followed instructions for full update - 518. however, gamma will not start when I hit run on MO2. i think it might have something to do with my resolution (im on ultrawide) because I got it to start a couple of times forcing a graphics reset to 1920x1080 in window but that's not even consistent. I tried forcing my monitor to run 16:9 instead of 21:9 at both 1440p and 1080p and still wont work. also tried with the DART UI fix enabled at the end of my load order and that didn't help. no error message or anything, it acts like it wants to start up, anomaly splash window comes up, screen turns black, then straight back to MO2. would love some help, I tried to look around a bit before asking but didn't see anything so sorry if this has already been addressed.

@ashen orbit To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

Maybe I missed if you mentioned it but did you follow the specific instructions for running be game in DX8 instead of DX11 because you have to do specific changes to the mod pack

it also sounds like you changed your graphics settings in the game? You said you changed them all to max? Did you mess with anti-aliasing or the other setting that it says to not mess with in red letters?

Also i’m sure you noticed but the brightness settings in the menu don’t change anything, I think mods have taken priority over it.
