Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin;
2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

During the quest "Hold Positions" - at the Junkyard - Flea Market - near the end of the Bandit Assault, the emersion (or how this thing called) began. Everyone was hiding like cockroaches... But there is no one. The task is still hanging, if I leave - failure. I tried to sleep the day next to me - no one appeared. Is it possible to somehow count the quest through the console?

Of the 2 scopes I have tested one appears black the other a darkish blue colour an ACOG and the inbuilt scope on a Steyr Scout respectively. Only when I point at lights do I get a blurry image of said light. Hope that helps

Scope nvg issues are there in some form for years. Agree with shaders, deleting shaders was the first thing I did as I played for a while on 4K and now back to 1440p and most issue (if any, 0.9.3 is great in stability compared) came from switching resolution OR adjust settings (visual / advanced). The issue persists but I won't put in hours to fix it

Remove FOV change on equipping pistols:

Don't want to bug anyone but after trying some of my own troubleshooting and reinstalling the game a couple of times I am still getting an issue with creating a character causing a crash (the loading into the game after making one), when it works and I can make a character, it crashes when i try to load a save.

@keen cedar Thanks for the help again. after reinstalling anomaly and following those instructions creating a new character crashes the game when I press start. With the same error message for the crash.

I went back to anomaly base and i created a new character, created a save, and loaded the save without issues.

An error that I see in mod organizer is this "while checking for blocked files, directory 'C:/Users/USERNAME/Desktop' is empty" not sure if it's relevant.

I then did a full wipe of gamma and anomaly and full reinstall, anomaly still works and launches but gamma crashes when starting new game at the loading screen, it will load for about 30 seconds and then crash. After crashing computer hangs for about 30s.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

So... i have the quest from Rogue to kill a pseudogiant in outskirts, however there's 5 controllers right next to it that will attack me everytime i go to kill it and I cannot avoid them. Multiple of the controllers attack me at the same time and when they finish the locking the game crashes.

Not sure where to post this, but for other linux users with FPS problems, here's what worked for me.
I have an all AMD build, ryzen 7700x and radeon RX 6750. Lutris flatpak on gentoo. I tried all of the standard FPS boosting techniques, which helped a little.
1.) Try the standard FPS boosting tricks
2.) Lower the stalker/mutant multipliers in ZCP
3.) Try enabling smart terrain only, increase respawn time to 1-2 days
4.) Enable the precache mod (incl by default) if you have 12gb+ free ram
Linux Exclusive:
1.) Switch esync/fsync. If it's on, turn it off. If it's off, turn it on. No idea why this works, but it may help.
2.) If you're on lutris flatpak, install gamescope via flatpak and enable it for Gamma
3.) Enable dxvk for the game in Lutris, ensure it's installed for the game (!dxvk in bot-commands)
4.) Add more vram to your wineprefix (https://superuser.com/questions/1089736/allocating-more-video-ram-to-wine)

The above nearly doubled my frames, from 50-60 with stutters to around 100. Only downside is lack of reshade on dxvk, but oh well.

Hey guys, I've installed properly the game, first launch i went to settings and ticked all good stuff for high quality , after applying the changes game menu has like 5 fps, but reverting the changes doesn't help. The menu worked smoothly before the changes. Any ideas besides reinstall?

@floral dome To bring your in-game settings back to default, DON'T press the "default" button in the game menu - you'll mess up everything.
Instead, do this:

1) Go to GAMMA RC3\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches\appdata
2) Copy the user.ltx file you'll find in there.
3) Go to Anomaly\appdata and paste the user.ltx there, and replace it.

close MO2, open GAMMA Launcher, optionally disable "Force zip extract" and "Force git download", click "Install / Update" and let it finish. Then open MO2 again and tell us how many active mods you have

so the reason you're not getting any replies, aside from the part where i think i'm the only helper active atm, is that freezes are extremely hard to pin down

since the logs never say what causes them

the "delete common squads" is a hail mary that works IF the freeze is related to a randomly spawned NPC, but it doesn't actually help pin down why a randomly spawned NPC would cause it

and if that method doesn't work either, especially after you wait (to let the game respawn NPCs), this indicates the crash is either:

• related to script or story-spawned NPCs, who you don't want to delete because obviously this fucks up the game
• something inherent to how NPCs are being spawned, which means the problem is likely to recur in the future

and again: zero indicator of WHY it is crashing, which means it's extremely difficult to know where to start with a fix.
