HOW TO UPDATE WITHOUT PROBLEMS !

  1. Open the Anomaly and save the marked one's (look to the path)
  2. Rename the folders Anomaly_1 and GAMMA_1 or whatever you want or uninstall the game
  3. Make a fresh new install and update to V6 - it will work without problems
  4. For the first time when you started, click on the INITIAL INSTALATION to give the path to the Anomaly folder
  5. Start once the Anomaly from his executable and when the menu appears get out on windows
  6. Copy what you have saved and override in the Anomaly folder to have the saved games and the Anomaly settings
    In G.A.M.M.A - DO NOT SAVE THE MOD FOLDER WITH THE SETTINGS and DO NOT replace, it will not work, you must remake all the settings
    You will have the working game and all the saves
    I know it will take time but instead of fighting wit all kind of errors ....

To manually reinstall problematic mods do this:

  1. Go to the link(s) the Helper has provided above (or below).
  2. Download the mod file(s) from moddb. DO NOT EXTRACT.
  3. Place every archive you downloaded into your \GAMMA\downloads folder. Overwrite if needed.
  4. Run the GAMMA Launcher as admin.
  5. Uncheck/Disable:
  • Check MD5
  • Force git download
  1. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

Weird question (Purely Cosmetic)... I have a fully functioning gamma game but when launching from Mo2 on my new computer the default anomaly splash is displayed while the game loads. It didn't use to be that way on my old computer but since it never caused an issue I never fixed it. Is it possible to fix? I've been around for a few updates and updating through the gamma launcher hasn't affected it.

Have you updated your launcher to V6?

So after removing 2d scope fix for 21:9, and reinstalling DART with the scopes fix enabled, when i load back ingame my health are all at red (Without any effects) and if i use a med item my hands dissapear and i cant go into my inv or equip anything, if a load a save my game crashes with a fatal error telling me to check logs. I've successfully extracted scripts from the DB and added missing lines before when values are returned as nil, I just don't know which script is associated and the "downloads.zip" is no longer included and I did a full reinstall recently so I can't go looking for it manually. If you have installation issues related to github errors (for instance "untracked working tree files" "Aborted" errors) in the V6 GAMMA Launcher black window, do this (the result should look like the picture below):

  • Go to the GAMMA/.Grok's Modpack Installer/resources folder (GAMMA being the folder where you have GAMMA's ModOrganizer2 installed) and delete the 3 following folders: gamma_large_files_v2, Stalker_GAMMA and teivaz_anomaly_gunslinger (highlighted in the image below).
  • Download this: https://gofile.io/d/E6Q79Y
  • Cut and paste or drag and drop the installer_resources.7z in the folder GAMMA/.Grok's Modpack Installer/resources
  • Right-click installer_resources.7z > 7-Zip > Extract Here . This should look like the image below once the extraction is done.
  • Launch the GAMMA V6 Launcher from your desktop and click the "Install/Update" button.
  • Delete the installer_resources.7z once the update is successful to save some space on your drive.

so i found an OTs-14 Groza "Storm" (not sure if this is from the base pack or from one of the disabled mods, i think it was retrogue?) and i don't think it's supposed to be this far up on my display and if i try to aim, it's clearly not lined up - my FOV is set to 90 so im not sure if this messes with it. is it a known problem or is it a setting i need to change to realign it?

Depends if you have already set up the files for gamma, if your mo2 has all 446 mods installed then possibly I ended up just doing a clean reinstall of all my files incase it had issues with just reinstalling the update, give it a shot if it doesn’t work then possibly doing a full clean reinstall of the stalker game with the new update and reinstalling the gamma files should resolve the issue

If you want, try just extracting the update for stalker into your stalker folder, replace the files that it asks, once it’s done try booting up stalker game through the stalker folder it should just say β€œanomalylauncher” check in the bottom left corner it says 1.5.1.2, once that is done then try and start gamma through the mo2, if it boots up the game then you should be all sweet if it doesn’t work and pops up with a error saying it can’t find stalker then try a clean reinstall

oh nah its alright, my only remaining issue is this one: which is unrelated to any mod installation issue. This is a value I have to track down in a deprecated mod file and replace the value in the line with something non-nil afaik. I'll have to figure it out later, but as of now I can still play, I just crash when looting bodies with PDA's lol 🀣

yeah you won' t need that unless you are manually downloading missing mods. if you open your gamma launcher and hit install/update, the command prompt window behind the launcher will show you and errors/failed mod downloads, and from there, you can see what mods are still missing but that powershell script isnt required for fixing this, if you just download what Guel posted plus the 3 other mods the launcher isnt grabbing.

Hey folks
Just installed GAMMA there now and all works well and good -- except for the fact that there is no sound.

I've checked the sound mixer and both my earphones and system sounds are up, and i do get that 'beep' Windows 10 plays when you change the volume, so i assume its something to do with the way GAMMA/Anomaly does audio?

Could it have anything to do with the fact I didn't have Open Al on my computer? I just ran the installer and SDK there now, and im going to see if that fixes it

But if anybody knows the solution i'd appreciate some help

you can try reduce the value of enemies spawn from 1 to 0.5 and sleep for 48 hours and see if it help(48 hours is when the game rebalance it self with the new spawn factors)

  1. Update G.A.M.M.A. to the latest version (open GAMMA Launcher with admin rights, click on Install / Update)
  2. Bring your modlist back to default (type !default in #πŸ€–bot-commands )
  3. Enable the "Turn this on if you stutter" mod in your MO2 (you can find the mod under the G.A.M.M.A. Fixes separator)
  4. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering in NVIDIA control panel
  5. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
  6. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)

To manually reinstall problematic mods do this:

  1. Go to the link(s) the Helper has provided above (or below).
  2. Download the mod file(s) from moddb. DO NOT EXTRACT.
  3. Place every archive you downloaded into your \GAMMA\downloads folder. Overwrite if needed.
  4. Run the GAMMA Launcher as admin.
  5. Uncheck/Disable:

  • Force git download
  1. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

  1. Do you have #πŸ“577-mods-in-mo2 (read channel name)?
  2. Are you using latest GAMMA launcher, not the installer? (in \.Grok's Modpack Installer\) (version 6.0 is the newest)
  3. Do you see any ❌ in MO2 under Flags next to any mods (like the image)?

You should have 446, not 442. Start the launcher as admin (make sure you use 6.0.0.0), and press install/update (leave all the boxes ticked), keep an eye on the console screen
