You have to reinstall Anomaly, follow these instructions:

1. Add your Anomaly folder to your antivirus exceptions. For Windows Defender, do as instructed here: #🖥️how-to-install message
   🔹 If you need to keep your savefiles, type !save in #🤖bot-commands
2. Now delete all the content inside your Anomaly installation folder.
3. Move both the Anomaly 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 update .zip files into the now clean Anomaly folder.
   🔹 If you don't have both Anomaly 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 .zip files, download them again from Moddb or get them by typing !torrent in #🤖bot-commands
4. Right click the 1.5.1 zip file and hover over "7-Zip", then select "Extract Here".
5. Then, right click the 1.5.2 update zip file and hover over "7-Zip", then select "Extract Here".
6. Launch Anomaly, once you get to the main menu, exit the game.
7. Go to your G.A.M.M.A. folder and delete the ModOrganizer**.ini** file, found right under the ModOrganizer**.exe**.
8. Now, always inside your G.A.M.M.A. folder, go inside the .Grok's Modpack Installer folder and open the G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin, press First Install Initialization and select your Anomaly folder in the popup, don't open it, you just need to select folder.
9. Untick/deselect all the options under the Install/Update G.A.M.M.A. button and press it to install and finish.

1. Check if you are blocked from accessing and browsing https://www.moddb.com/ (you'll see a big red screen)
If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.
Alternatively, you can use a VPN to bypass the block.
Don't check every five seconds if the timer is going down, it can lead to problems.
Don't delete anything unless we told you to do so.

If you're not blocked:
2. Open your GAMMA Launcher and check if you have the latest launcher, which is 5.0.0.0.

hi there! So i played a bit of stalker gamma and i think at one point it just stopped lauching at all. so i reinstalled the whole game with gamma and everything.

now it would launch but the game launches with anomaly splash screen for a bit and then it closes with a windows error sound.

Hello, I have noticed an issue with shadows on a fresh GAMMA install - thought maybe you could help me pinpoint at where it's comming from.

It seems that for some intent and purposes, something broke with shadows (first attached screen, basegame grass shadows turned on to better highlight the core of the issue) turning them into some weird spotty, "fuzzy", for the lack of better word mess, that seems to cut away at the basegame shadows at that. What I managed to ascertain is:

• it's nothing from base game menu settings (the issue stays there regarless of graphics options chosen)
• It's not reshade thing (turning reshade on or off has no effect on those)
• the "fuzzy" part of the problem disappears once I disable the shaders "mods" mentioned in #╰⚡fps-optimisation , but there's still something cutting into the basegame shadows (seccond attached screenshot, though it's less visible and the shadows got more sublte without the shaders)
• It appears regardless of shadow cascade settings in SSS MCM settings (I've went through getting all the option to the left, all the options to the right, getting every even option to the left and every odd option to the right and vice versa, no visible changes on any of those)
• I have removed the shader cache (both manually and through launcher options) a few times separately, and once alongside disabling the shader "mods" following the #╰⚡fps-optimisation article - did not help either
• I have went through every shadowmap option in anomaly launcher, tried also with and without AVX toggle there, no luck either

What I haven't tried is downgrading from DX11 to DX10, because first I'm greeted by reshade compilation error, and then when I try to get in-game (be it via loading a game or starting a new one), the game freezes on me towards the end of the loading screen and typically 20-30 minutes in, I just get bored of staring at the same screen and kill the process in the task manager (as it is completely unresponsive otherwise).

When i go from rostok to garbage everything works fine, but when i go a little further everything goes to hell, if i quick melee it gets stuck and doesnt work anymore, if i use the freezoom it gets stuck, the identification icons dont show up anymore, if i use something from my inventory it locks my character into doing nothing and it doesn't pass. it's actually hugely useful. the modlog is missing dozens of weapons and is loading WAY more files than default. like i said - your game is looking/loading for custom files that aren't present in base GAMMA and is crashing out as a result

I had the same thing happen as you after a Windows 10 update. (SOUND: OpenAL: Failed to create context.) I wonder if this is happening to users of just Windows 10 and not 11 because my nephew has Windows ll and OpenAL was not effected on his computer. The work around I'm using is that before I launch Gamma 0.9.1 I start a favorite song from my music list which of course opens your Windows music player and while its playing I start Stalker Gamma. It gets me psyched up for the game and of course it stops playing shortly after Gamma has loaded the save game so I can hear what is going on around me.

2. Enable the top 4 boxes under the installation buttons, make sure they're selected
3. Click "Install / Update G.A.M.M.A." and wait for the install process to be done
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make also sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2

This procedure does NOT remove saves, you're NOT going to redownload everything from scratch and it WON'T delete your progress, your save is... safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall/fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated, will be updated, that's it, nothing else.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

Is it normal for some NPCs to speak in English? I like having my character do it and it worked fine with my previous installation of GAMMA. Everyone would speaking Russian/Ukranian or with heavy accents while my character screams in English when something jams. However, now, I get NPCs that speak in perfect American accent English (specifically mercenaries in Garbage) and Russian accented English from bandits. I don't think I've actually heard Ukranian/Russian in a while now that I think about it. It's not really doing anything much more than break mah 'mersion, but I'd like to get that immersion back if possible.

3. Enable the "Turn this on if you stutter" mod in your MO2 (you can find the mod under the G.A.M.M.A. Fixes separator)
4. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering in NVIDIA control panel
5. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
6. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)

I didn't know if I should have unchecked the boxes or not because I did want the PPP mod. I left them checked and it basically reinstalled everything. It doesn't redownload, though, only select few files if they are outdated, so do be careful with that.

I'd recommend unchecking the boxes first and seeing if that fixes it since it's the safest and fastest option, I think.

I noticed a weird night lighting issue. The moon shines through the ground. I can see the moon rays from the moon coming from below the ground. Buildings in the outskirts are lit in the distance and half lit nearby during a heavy storm.

Yesterday I saw light coming throug a hill in Jupiter.

i was having issues with DOF earlier, i just turned it off completely. That's the only reason I could of as to why your vision would be blurred

• Increase texture detail to 3/4 or 4/4, or enter texture_lod 0 in the in-game console, and then restart the game.

If the steps from above didn't work, try this fix instead:

2. In Mod Organizer 2, click on File -> Install mod
3. Find wherever you saved the Jubs_Low_Texture_Red_Dots.rar file.
4. Click “OK”. Name it however you want. It will be at the very end of the mod list.
5. Enable this mod.

Don't verify stuff with the Anomaly Launcher, you're using Mod Organizer 2 to launch the game and to manage the mods used in GAMMA.
The error you'll get is harmless and doesn't mean anything, that's not the problem you have with your game.

You absolutely can, just remember to, as you said, move the folder back before starting an update
