First you should move your folders out of your downloads folder.

So C:/Anomaly for anomaly, and C:/Gamma for gamma

Moving Anomaly:

When you have finished moving everything to the new location:

1. Run the installer as admin
2. Click on 1. Allow Powershell scripts
3. Click on 2. Launch MO2
4. Select your Anomaly folder
5. Click on Download G.A.M.M.A. data and then click on Full G.A.M.M.A. installation

Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

So I recently started trying out DX11 AVX, and it does seem to be enough of an improvement id like to keep using it, but im having an issue outside the game when using AVX, not sure if this is even the right place since its kinda related to GAMMA/STALKER. AVX seems to be changing how the game is recognized by other programs. Things like my mouse software that should auto switch to the Stalker profile doesnt which isnt much of an issue, Discord not recognizing it, but the game also isnt recognized by any game capture that isnt just a general screen record. Things like SteelSeries Moments, Nvidia Instant Replay, etc. Pretty much anything that sits in the background and records the last 5-10 mins.

I guess more what im asking since support for those programs is pretty specific, is what is AVX changing that might cause other programs to not detect it as a game like it does with everything else? Might point me in the direction of what to change within them.

Do you have a good GPU? DON'T use AVX.
Do you have both? Try for yourself, see what's better.

Actual explanation:
AVX is a way for your CPU to do calculations on a large array of data simultaneously. This is the same kind of job GPUs are primarily meant for.
So if your GPU is decent, AVX is (in most cases) outclassed by the GPU itself. Best way to know which is better for you, personally, is to try both versions and see what does or doesn't crash/performs better.

Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

Best to use a clean version of Anomaly
Anomaly that has been touched by another modpack will crash on launch, as both modpacks use different patched files

Full GAMMA Installation does NOT remove saves, nor does it mean you are redownloading everything and it won't delete anything at all.
A full install will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall and fix them, and any that need to be updated will be updated.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the installer will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
