it can be any number of things but largely due to either moddb servers crapping out (but they're up atm) OR you forgot to click "download GAMMA data" before clicking "full GAMMA installation"

Why do I have this strange effect in my game? etc.

It's the new DOF (Depth Of Field) effect.
You can turn it off:
1) Open the game.
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu.
3) Search SSS Settings.
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left.
Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

If these steps don't work and DOF remains enabled, press ~, type r2_dof_enable off and hit Enter.

I wasn't really sure where to mention this, but I wanted to share incase it helped anyone else. I'm playing with an i9-13900k and on top of disabling core 0, I also disabled all the 'Efficiency' cores. It didn't improve my FPS by more than maybe 3-5fps, but it made it a lot more stable. Less random drops. Might be a just me thing, who knows.

Ever since I switched to "Aydins Grass Tweaks 3.0" it's way less noticeable (and better looking too I think).

Alright, I got a weird weird issue. I installed everything correctly via the install guide. The game will launch and my video display will cut out. Like, my monitor will go "oh signal loss, I'm going nap nap". I can hear the music playing. Ive got an issue with the free zoom. It was working properly until some random moment. It changes my FOV to fit the zoom but then doesnt change it back. I can turn it back up but as soon as I use free zoom it does the same issue. Any ideas on what Im doing wrong?

Does anybody know how to make the Anomaly Organizer recognize that the Anomaly Launcher is on the file of the game?

Everything I installed correctly and the 358 mods are working, but when I go to launch the game, the organizer doesnt let me saying that the "AnomalyLauncher.exe" doesnt exist.

I reccommended gamma to a friend who installed it, but I noticed his weapon tooltips have more details than mine. He has characteristics like country of origin. This doesn't show up in my game, and I ran the launcher to make sure my files were updated.

The busyhands is the name of a bug that among other things prevents the player from interacting with objects or the weapons player holds.

If you can't:

• use your weapon or reload
• open your inventory
• drink/eat/sleep or otherwise interact with items you have
• correctly see your HUD in the bottom left corner, and it appears like everything is at 0 and it's all red
• transition between locations

Then it means your save file is affected by busyhands. The only known way to fix this is by loading an earlier save that was made before any of the things mentioned above started happening.
It is believed that the most common causes of this bug happening in the first place are:

• Enabling mod Turn this on if you stutter in Mod Organizer (or auto_switch_distance_start value being manually changed).
  ⬆️ If you're using this mod - follow !busyfix ⬆️
• Enabling disabled animations, or adding new animations with custom mods

Certified DISABLED ANIMATIONS that bring busyhands if you enable them:

• Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
• Skinning mutants
• Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
• Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

G.A.M.M.A. has a default mod list to make sure everyone has the same things, everything goes back to default when you update or you do a complete installation, it's normal.

But its not a window, its like fullscreen, but in a really small part of my screen. I can only move my mouse for a few centimeters. Reverting back to the Driver before that didnt help. 1. Enable Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload) (the mod under "Optional")
2. Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key (yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind)
3. Enable Ammo Check (this is a mod as well)
4. While in game, check your keybinds for RELOAD and UNJAM in Settings > Controls > Bindings
5. After successfully following all steps, you need to Left-Alt + left click the magazine to add to your loadout, before a reload can work
   Bonus: You can also enable Mags Buyable at Traders if you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list.

KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't just disable the mod in your current save file and call it a day. Your game will crash.
To remove it safely, you'll have to remove them from your save file with this addon, follow EVERY STEP: #🖇old-mods-posting message

Start with like 300 or something, then every time you get busyhands randomly, reduce it by 200 more.
If the fix needs to be resistant to changes made by the installer make sure to also modify the alife.ltx file in \GAMMA\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_addons\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs

If you get the bug on first load, try loading the same save again. It loads faster and is less likely to bug.

Hey guys, im having a issue when i launch the game in borderless. It launches halfway down my screen lmao. i can go into the settings and choose to make it fullscreen or windowed, but i cant click accept to fix the screen because its below my task bar. closing the game and relaunching it seems to randomly pick a spot on my monitor to launch at and i have to get lucky to be able to have it open in a spot where i can click accept in the settings. ive tried to move the window with keyboard shortcuts but i can only move it from one monitor to another not up and down and it stays in the same position when being swapped to another monitor.

for the record the Companion Teleport Mod can sometimes work. sometimes. you have to enable it first in MO2, then the hotkey is j by default - you have to be within 300m of them though, which might not help in your case

generally safest thing is to load a save from before the area transition and pray they don't disappear again

Hello, I've been having some serious issues getting GAMMA to run consistently on my PC. Not sure if this is the problem of my PC hardware or the game itself, but I can play any other demanding games just fine. But I'll be playing GAMMA for about 3-5 mins before randomly getting a complete PC shutdown/crash and a motherboard code 00. PC boots back up just fine after. I thought this was something to do with how hot my PC is running been monitoring GPU/CPU temps and both of them seem well in the reasonable range even up until complete shutdown/crash. If anyone has any insight on this issue please lemme know, thanks.

Hey if anyone could help me with a problem I'd be super appreciative, so i downloaded Anomaly and it ran fine, then i downloaded Gamma and it appears everything downloaded correctly (ive re downloaded this game many times over so i know what it should look like) however I am still getting just Blackness whenever i play, the Skyboxes look fine, like normal sky, but everything else is Black. any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

i know im using an updated installer, im launched dx11-avx from Mo2 , ill try the console command and report back. and its not like the whole screen is nothing but black, its like i can see meshes, but the textures for them are black, like if im in a building its entirely black but looking out of a window i can see a normal looking sky. if the console command doesnt work ill post a screenshot of what im seeing.

Well, log has no clear info on what's causing the crash.
So you have 3 options.

1. Run full gamma installation again.
   By running Gamma installer as admin, Change moddb mirror from Default to 128, Click gamma data then full gamma installation
   You would like to backup your user.ltx file that's located in Anomaly/Appdata, as running the installer will reset it back to default.

If that won't work
2. Try reinstalling Anomaly
in #🤖bot-commands type !dest for instructions on how to do it properly.

And if that ends up not working
3. Start a new game....
