hey, I apologize, I posted this a bit earlier, but I guess it got missed: default 358 modlist, game runs otherwise very smoothly after following framerate optimization instructions, but after playing for just a couple hours I'm running into an issue where the game frequently will stop responding entirely, usually happens during a firefight. No hard crashes, just freezing up. I checked Task Manager and my memory and cpu usage are both under 50%, so it shouldn't be any issue with my hardware or a memory leak or anything. It seems to happen shortly after I start to get targeted by enemy AI? Because I can be in the vicinity of a firefight with seemingly no problem, but once I start participating in it, my game freezes up shortly thereafter. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with being hit. Haven't run into the same issue with Mutants. idk if any of this makes sense or is helpful in any way, but obviously there's no crashlog with this issue so I'm just trying to provide as much detail as possible in the hopes somebody knows a soution

I was in Garbage (where I've frozen probably 3 or 4 times now) right by the big warehouse in the center of the map, got into a firefight with some Mercenaries, killed them all, moved out near the train to look around and make sure the area was clear, when the game froze. I also froze in nearly the exact same place, same situation, in the middle of the firefight. I also froze in another area of Garbage after getting killed in a firefight. I'm pretty sure I've frozen at least once outside of Garbage, so I don't think it's exclusive to the area.

but It doesn't always happen during/immediately after a firefight. When I went to try and get the game to freeze/crash like you asked, I went and killed all of the traders and all their allies or whatever that hang out in/on that one bombed out concrete building in Garbage. Big, extended firefight ensued... no freezing.

If these steps don't work and DOF remains enabled, press ~, type r2_dof_enable off and hit Enter.

I'm getting a 'dynamics\weapons\wpn_gauss\wpn_gauss_world.ogf' stack trace error when starting a new game.
I have freshly installed GAMMA and have not enabled/disabled any mods. I am at 358 active. I have (as far as I can tell) the most up to date version of Anomaly.

6) Paste the gamedata folder inside this newly created folder
7) Now go to GAMMA RC3/mods and look for a folder called 76- Boomsticks and Sharpsticks - Mich.
If you have this folder - delete it, if you don't have it - skip this step.
8) Launch the GAMMA installer with admin rights, press Download G.A.M.M.A. data and then Only install G.A.M.M.A. addons

If your issue isn't solved, press Download G.A.M.M.A. data and then Full GAMMA Installation in the installer.

I'm trying to play GAMMA after I uninstalled it a few months ago, I followed the guide and I have 358 mods installed. The installer did not create a desktop icon, I don't have this installed on my C: drive. When I use the MO2 exe and try to run Anomaly, it crashes instantly and without showing an error. It does make an error sound though

people have had issues when not installed in default directory (C: drive)

including me.

after i did the default install path, my game worked fine

what i think you can try (if you really are stubborn on not using the default path) is when you run gamma and you are at the screen that shows the mods currently enabled (and where it shows what dx version you want to use), you can go to settings and check to see if the program is looking at the directory path letter for running the game

like if you installled into D drive, then every path should be saying D:/ect..., with none saying C:, which might be causing the no error crash

Negative. Have played quite a number of hours (impossible to tell how long exactly, but probably something like 20-30 hours?), and I only just seemed to run across this error while killing off the Army checkpoint in Cordon.

ok try that and see also if any other enemy is around shooting you, if so, load again and wait for him to shoot and see what happens. gamma isnt 100% stable so there are random bugs that cause crashes but if you can isolate what makes it happen would make it easier to troubleshoot

All my paths are on the correct drive but it is still crashing. I'll use the installer and do a complete install again tomorrow, if that doesn't work I'll wait until the new update in April to try again

Hello. I have a problem launching the game. I have all the mods, I get no error when I launch MO2, then I click on run and start the game. The little Anomaly window pops us then goes away and nothing happens. I hear sound like I got on error massages, but nothing pops up. 1.) Every variant on the VSS/AS VAL just has no firing sound. Only the sound of the bullet hitting an actor or a surface

2.) Copying sound files into a new mod in MO2 and putting it in the highest priority of the load order did not fix the issue

3.) I cannot find in-game any information as to what .OGG file the VSS Vintorez plays when firing and cannot self-fix my situation

You can turn it off:
1) Open the game.
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu.
3) Search SSS Settings.

Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

Full GAMMA Installation does NOT remove saves, nor does it mean you are redownloading everything and it won't delete anything at all.
A full install will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall and fix them, and any that need to be updated will be updated.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the installer will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
